Abstract

The feud between the Dutch and Indonesia again peaked after Indonesiaproclaimed independence on August 17, 1945. War broke out in almost everyregion in Indonesia, Aceh was one of them. The basis of the hatred of the Acehnesetowards the Dutch which grew under the spirit of jihad fisabilillah [war in the wayof Allah] made the Veranda of Mecca was never negligent in opposing the Dutchcompany. Uniquely, the prolonged war that erupted in Aceh did not affect theDutch heritage buildings in Banda Aceh as the epicenter of the resistance. Thisstudy examines the function of the infrastructure of the Dutch colonial remains inBanda Aceh during the Indonesian Independence Revolution. The historicalresearch method is emphasized on utilizing primary sources in the form essayscompiled by historical actors and witnesses who lived during the independencerevolution, as well as Dutch documents in the form of photographs and maps.According to the result, the Dutch heritage infrastructure in Banda Aceh duringthe independence revolution did not find any damage caused by war and wasused for various revolutionary purposes. These buildings are generally used asthe initial function and some of them are used according to the revolutionary war.However, the practice of vandalism in the form of crossing out and pastinginformation dissemination stickers often took place in the buildings at that time.

Abstract

The misconceptions that occur in integrated social studies subjects are caused by the wide scope of material, which causes students to have difficulty understanding the concepts conveyed by the teacher. A misperception is an error in understanding and explaining a concept based on previous experience. This study aims to determine the effect of the problem based learning model on reducing students' misconceptions in integrated social studies subjects. This type of research is experimental and uses a one-group pretest-posttest design. The sampling technique used in this study is a total sampling technique (population research). The sample in this study was from class VIII-E MTsS Insan Qura'ni Aceh Besar, totaling 27 people. The data collection technique is in the form of giving tests to students, namely a pre-test and post-test that are equipped with a three-tier diagnostic test. The results showed that the average score of students' misconceptions on the pretest was 33.33%, and the post-test was 15.06%. So, there is a decrease in students' misconceptions after the application of the problem based learning model of 54.81%. The results of hypothesis testing in this study were obtained, so that H0 was accepted and H1 was rejected. So the hypothesis in this study is that there is a decrease in the value of misconceptions after the application of the problem based learning model. The conclusion of the study is that the application of the problem based learning model can reduce students' misconceptions in integrated social studies subjects about interaction between ASEAN countries (class VIII MTsS Insan Qur'ani Aceh Besar).

Abstract

This study aims to determine the increasement in student history learning outcomes before the application of historical domino media and after the application of historical domino media at SMA Negeri 12 Banda Aceh. This study used a quantitative approach and the type of experimental research. The population in this study was all students. Based on the results of data processing using the IBM SPSS Statistics 20 application with the formula of Shapiro Wilk, it was obtained that the significance value Sig.(2-tailed) of the pretest was worth 0,00 and the significance value Sig.(2-tailed) of the posttest was 0,021, where both values is under the value of (α) = 0.05. Thus, H_0 is rejected and H_1 is accepted, so that, the distribution of the pretest and post-test data is not normally distributed so the average difference test will be carried out using the Wilcoxon formula. The value of Sig.(2-tailed) in the Wilcoxon test is 0.01 which is greater than the value (α) = 0.05.

Abstract

Artikel ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui penerapan media pop up card, motivasi belajar dan respon siswa. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan jenis penelitian pre-experimental design dengan desain one shot case study. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah seluruh kelas X IPS yang terdiri dari 56 siswa. Teknik pemilihan sampel menggunakan teknik purpose sampling, sampel yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas X IPS 1 yang berjumlah 29 siswa. Teknik pengumpulan data dalam penelitian ini menggunakan observasi dan angket. Teknik analisis data menggunakan analisis regresi linear sedehana, uji hipotesis dan persentase. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian diperoleh, penerapan media pop up card pada mata pelajaran sejarah berhasil dilaksanakan dengan sangat baik dan lancar, ini ditunjukkan oleh lembar observasi kegiatan pembelajaran. Analisis regresi linear sederhana diperoleh motivasi belajar siswa meningkat dengan persentase hubungan kedua variabel sebesar 38% dan nilai korelasi sebesar 0,824 pada konstanta 5,696, selebihnya dipengaruhi oleh faktor luar seperti lingkungan dan lainnya. Hasil uji hipotesis diperoleh nilai uji  atau 4,0812,052, sesuai dengan kriteria pengujian maka Ha diterima. Persentase respon siswa memperoleh kategori “Sangat Baik”. Oleh sebab itu, penerapan media pop up card meningkatkan motivasi belajar siswa pada mata pelajaran sejarah kelas X IPS di SMAN 1 Meukek, Kabupaten Aceh Selatan

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui penerapan media Flanelgraf pada pembelajaran sejarah di kelas XI IPS SMA Negeri Bunga Bangsa Nagan Raya dan untuk mengetahui motivasi belajar siswa setelah penerapan media Flanelgraf pada pembelajaran sejarah di kelas XI IPS SMA Negeri Bunga Bangsa Nagan Raya. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan jenis penelitian deskriptif. Subjek dalam penelitian ini adalah seluruh siswa kelas XI IPS SMA Negeri Bunga Bangsa Nagan Raya yang berjumlah 20 orang siswa. Teknik pengumpulan data dalam penelitian ini yaitu menggunakan observasi dan angket. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian yang telah dilakukan diketahui bahwa (1) hasil dari pengamatan kegiatan guru dan siswa dalam pelaksanaan pembelajaran sebesar 97,5% dengan kategori sangat baik. (2) Motivasi siswa terhadap media flanelgraf dalam pembelajaran sejarah di kelas XI IPS SMA Negeri Bunga Bangsa Nagan Raya yaitu 21,2% menjawab sangat setuju, 32,2% menjawab setuju, 13,7% menjawab ragu-ragu, 21,5% menjawab tidak setuju, dan 11,5% menjawab sangat tidak setuju dengan kategori baik. Maka dapat disimpulkan bahwa dalam proses penerapan media flanelgraf dapat meningkatkan motivasi belajar sejarah siswa.

Abstract

This research was motivated by the low interest in learning students in history subjects in class XI IS at SMAN 2 Binjai City, North Sumatra. The purpose of this study is to determine the influence of card game history timeline media on the interest in learning history of class XI IS students at SMAN 2 Binjai City, North Sumatra and the magnitude of the influence of Card Game History Timeline media on the interest in learning history of class XI IS students at SMAN 2 Binjai City, North Sumatra. This research uses a quantitative approach with a type of true experimental design research using posttest-only control design. The population in this study was all class XI IS students at SMAN 2 Binjai City which amounted to 4 classes and the sample used in this study was class XI IS 3 as a control class consisting of 20 students and class XI IS 4 as an experimental class consisting of 20 students. Sampling technique using simple random sampling. The data collection technique in this study used observation, documentation, and questionnaire provision. Based on the results of the study, it is known that the results of the hypothesis test used a t-test and obtained a calculated value = 1.40, while ttabel = 1.31 at a significant level (α = 0.05) while dk = 38 was 1.31 with the criteria Ha accepted.

Abstract

Latar belakang masalah dalam artikel ini adalah akivitas siswa selama pembelajaran sejarah di SMA Negeri 2 Seunagan Kabupaten Nagan Raya terlihat pasif, hanya guru yang menjadi pusat informasi dan pusat pembelajaran. Artikel ini bertujuan untuk (1) mengetahui bagaimana penerapan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe talking chips berbantuan media permainan bingo pada pembelajaran sejarah kelas XI di SMA Negeri 2 Seunagan Kabupaten Nagan Raya, dan (2) mengetahui kendala siswa pada penerapan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe talking chips berbantuan media permainan bingo pada pembelajaran sejarah. Pendekatan yang digunakan adalah kualitatif dengan jenis deskriptif. Penentuan subjek dilakukan secara purposive sampling. Subjek adalah seluruh siswa kelas XI IPS 1 yang berjumlah 23 orang siswa. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Berdasarkan hasil analisa data yang telah dilakukan menunjukkan bahwa (1) Penerapan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe talking chips berbantuan media permainan bingo pada pembelajaran sejarah telah dilaksanakan dengan baik dan sesuai dengan sintaks model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe talking chips. Dari hasil analisis penerapan model pembelajaran kooperatif selama kegiatan pembelajaran diperoleh nilai rata-rata 84,4% dan masuk dalam kriteria Baik, analisis terhadap hasil evaluasi siswa menunjukkan 20 orang memperoleh nilai di atas KKM atau setara dengan 87%, sedangkan sebanyak 3 orang memperoleh nilai di bawah KKM atau setara dengan 13%, (2) Kendala siswa selama pembelajaran adalah keterbatasan waktu, adanya siswa yang kurang aktif, siswa kurang percaya diri ketika menjelaskan jawaban, dan terkadang siswa tidak memahami soal dari papan bingo.

Abstract

This study aims to find out how the application and response of class XI IPS 1 students in the application of problem solving learning models assisted by roulette media in history learning at SMA Negeri 1 Kuta Cot Glie, Aceh Besar District. This research uses a qualitative approach with descriptive research type and the sampling purposive sampling. The subjects in this study were students of class XI IPS 1, totaling 24 students. Based on the results of the research, it is known that (1) The application of the problem solving learning model assisted by roulette media in history learning in class XI IPS 1 has been carried out well according to the problem solving syntax. This can be seen from the results of the analysis of the application of the learning model, an average score of 78,3% is included in the good criteria and the results of the learning mastery analysis show that 21 people scored above the minimum criteria of mastery learning or equivalent to 87,5%, while 3 people scored below the minimum criteria of mastery learning or equivalent to 12,5%. (2) The response of class XI IPS 1 students in the application of learning with problem solving models assisted by roulette media is good. This can be seen from the activities and behavior of students shown in learning activities, students listen and follow the teacher’s directions in accordance with the learning syntax. Students solve  the problems given by the teacher carefully and keep the class organized.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk: (1) mendeskripsikan proses pembelajaran sejarah Aceh yang diterapkan di program studi pendidikan Sejarah Universitas Syiah Kuala, (2) mendeskripsikan proses pengembangan model pembelajaran berbasis inquiry widya wisata,(3) menganalisis efektifitas model pembelajaran berbasis inquiry widya wisata dalam meningkatakan motivasi dan prestasi belajar mahasiswa pendidikan sejarah Universitas Syiah Kuala. Penelitian ini mengacu pada prosedur RD yang diawali dengan studi pendahuluan, uji kelayakan produk, dan uji efektivitas produk.Instrumen yang digunakan untuk mengumpulkan data dalam penelitian ini adalah angket motivasi belajar dan tes prestasi belajar sejarah Aceh. Uji coba instrumen angket meliputi uji  validitas dan reliabilitas. Uji coba instrumen tes meliputi tingkat kesukaran, daya beda, dan reliabilitas. Uji keseimbangan menggunakan uji rerata t, uji prasyarat meliputi uji normalitas dan uji homogenitas. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan: (1) proses pembelajaran sejarah Aceh yang diterapkan di program studi pendidikan Sejarah Universitas Syiah Kuala selama ini bersifat teacher center, (2) pengembangan model pembelajaran berbasis inquiry widya wisata dilakukan dengan prosedur RD yang diawali dengan studi pendahuluan, uji kelayakan produk, dan uji efektivitas produk, (3) efektifitas model pembelajaran berbasis inquiry widya wisatamembawa dampak yang positif dan signifikan dalam meningkatakan motivasi dan prestasi belajar mahasiswa pendidikan sejarah Universitas Syiah Kuala, perbandingan nilai post test motivasi kelas eksperimen lebih besar daripada kelas kontrol (112,55 lebih besar dari 94,35) dan prestasi belajar mahasiswa kelas eksperimen lebih besar daripada kelas kontrol (18,80 lebih besar dari 16,15).
