Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of employability skills on job readiness, with social support as a moderating variable among students at Universitas Negeri Padang. A quantitative method was employed using a survey approach and purposive sampling technique, resulting in a sample of 409 students. Data were analyzed using Moderated Regression Analysis (MRA) to assess both the direct effect of employability skills on job readiness and the moderating role of social support. The results show that employability skills have a positive impact on job readiness. Social support significantly moderates this relationship with a negative direction (buffering effect). Furthermore, employability skills contributed 59.4% to students’ job readiness, while the inclusion of social support as a moderating variable strengthened the interaction effect to 63.5%. These findings underscore the importance of mastering employability skills to enhance students' job readiness, with social support playing a significant role in shaping the dynamic between the two.

Abstract

Although nurses play an important role in providing professional healthcare services, work situations characterized by high pressure, heavy workloads, demands of responsibility, and emotional strain in nursing care have the potential to cause job stress. In this context, psychological capital is regarded as a positive psychological resource that can help nurses cope with work pressure. This study aimed to determine the effect of psychological capital on nurses’ job stress at Naili DBS Hospital, Padang City. This study employed a quantitative approach with a simple linear regression design. The study population included all nurses at Naili DBS Hospital, Padang City, with a sample of 97 nurses selected through the total sampling technique. Data were collected using Likert scales based on the aspects of psychological capital and job stress, and were then analyzed statistically. The results showed that psychological capital had a significant effect on nurses’ job stress, with a correlation coefficient (R) of 0.620, a coefficient of determination (R²) of 0.385, and an F value of 59.41 with a significance of p < 0.001, indicating that the research hypothesis was accepted. These findings indicate that psychological capital plays a role in influencing nurses’ level of job stress, although there are still other factors, such as social support, work–life balance, and leadership style, that also have the potential to affect job stress. Thus, this study emphasizes the importance of strengthening psychological capital as part of a human resource management strategy in hospitals, while also providing a theoretical contribution to the study of occupational psychology and practical implications for the development of a more supportive work environment for nurses.

Abstract

This study aims to see the influence of conformity on consumer behavior among student coffee shop consumers in Padang City. This research uses quantitative methods. The population in this study were students as coffee shop consumers in Padang City with a sampling technique using purposive sampling. The sample in this study amounted to 105 people. The instruments used in this study were the conformity scale and the consumer behavior scale. The results of the analysis using simple linear regression with a significance of p = 0.018 (p <0.05), correlation (R) of 0.231 and the coefficient of determination (R Square) of 0.053. This means that conformity has a significant positive influence on consumer behavior with an influence of 5.3%.

Abstract

Transportation is one of the most important parts of life today. With the development of the times, transportation can also be accessed online using an application called GOJEK. This research is a quantitative study that aims to see the effect of service quality on customer loyalty for gojek online transportation services in Padang city. Respondents in this study amounted to 108 people with purposive sampling technique. The data was analyzed using simple regression analysis. The results showed that there was no significant influence between service quality and customer loyalty for gojek online transportation services in Padang city.

Abstract

Remaja yang menempuh pendidikan di lingkungan boarding school menghadapi tuntutan psikologis yang khas, berasal dari struktur disiplin ketat, aktivitas akademik padat, dan keterpisahan jangka panjang dari keluarga. Kondisi ini menuntut resiliensi yang kuat, khususnya dalam aspek manajemen stres dan keterampilan problem solving. Program pengabdian ini bertujuan memperkuat resiliensi remaja di SMK Penerbangan Nusantara (S.P.N) Ketaping, Kabupaten Padang Pariaman, melalui pelatihan terstruktur tentang manajemen stres dan problem solving. Kegiatan melibatkan 50 siswa dan dilaksanakan melalui penyuluhan psikologis, pelatihan keterampilan, simulasi berbasis kasus, serta diskusi kelompok reflektif. Pelaksanaan kegiatan terdiri atas tahapan persiapan, sosialisasi, pelatihan, penerapan teknologi, pendampingan, dan evaluasi. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan peningkatan pemahaman peserta terhadap konsep stres dan strategi coping adaptif, serta peningkatan kemampuan problem solving secara sistematis. Berdasarkan evaluasi pre-test dan post-test, 82% peserta menunjukkan tingkat resiliensi sedang hingga tinggi setelah mengikuti program. Peserta juga menyusun action plan individual untuk menerapkan keterampilan yang diperoleh dalam kehidupan sehari-hari. Modul pelatihan dan buku saku yang diserahkan kepada sekolah menjadi media pembelajaran berkelanjutan bagi guru bimbingan konseling. Program ini menegaskan bahwa pendekatan partisipatif dan psikoedukatif efektif dalam memperkuat resiliensi remaja pada setting pendidikan berdisiplin tinggi.
