Abstract

This article aims to identify effective strategies for marketing educational services in the digital era, based on Philip Kotler's concept of the marketing mix, which includes product, price, place, promotion, people, process, and physical evidence. In the context of educational marketing, these strategies serve as a fundamental framework for institutions to build a strong reputation, attract prospective students, and create competitive value. This article uses a literature review method by analysing various sources such as books and academic journals to explore the relationship between marketing theories and their application in the educational sector. The study emphasizes how educational institutions can integrate the marketing mix with digital approaches, such as utilizing social media and online platforms to reach wider audiences more efficiently. It also discusses the challenges faced by educational institutions, including increasing competition and shifting consumer behaviour in the digital age, as well as the importance of regularly evaluating marketing strategies to adapt to evolving trends and market demands. Furthermore, an adaptive and collaborative leadership style fostered innovation and created a harmonious working environment. Despite challenges such as initial resistance and the influence of global culture, approaches based on empathy and effective communication proved successful in overcoming these barriers. This study highlights the importance of Islamic leadership as both an ethical foundation and a practical framework for managing educational institutions in the modern era.

Abstract

This article aims to examine the strategic role of Caliph Abu Ja'far al-Mansur in shaping the foundations of Islamic education during the early Abbasid dynasty. The focus of this research is to explore how the political stability built by al-Mansur led to the advancement of Islamic science and education. This research uses a descriptive qualitative method with a historical approach, through a literature study of historical documents, biographies of figures, and relevant scientific literature. Data collection techniques were conducted through literature review, and the data were analyzed narratively and contextually. The results showed that Abu Ja'far al-Mansur played an important role in strengthening the Islamic education system through the development of the city of Baghdad as a center of science, empowering traditional institutions such as mosques, kuttabs, and halaqahs, as well as initiating a movement to translate foreign works into Arabic. He also opened up space for the participation of non-Arabs (mawali) in intellectual activities and began to build an administrative system that supported education and learning. This finding confirms that the era of al-Mansur was the initial period of the formation of an Islamic education system that was inclusive, dynamic, and became the basis for scientific development in the following period.

Abstract

This article examines the "Love Curriculum" concept as a new paradigm in madrasah education initiated by the Ministry of Religion of the Republic of Indonesia in 2025. This research uses a qualitative approach with library research to analyze the concept of love curriculum. The results of the study show that the Love Curriculum is an educational approach that emphasizes the strengthening of human values ​​through love and affection to form the character of humane students, appreciate diversity, and uphold universal human values. This concept is a form of transformation of Islamic education that is responsive to the challenges of the times, at the same time affirming the role of the madrasa as a center for the formation of noble characters. While the basic values ​of the development of this love curriculum are nine, namely: Empathy, love, tolerance, justice and equality, respect and humility, humanity, cooperation and collaboration, justice and responsibility, and self-confidence and creativity. The implication is that the application of the values ​of love will shape the character of students who have noble and humane character. This curriculum not only revolutionized the learning approach in madrasahs but also strengthened the function of education as a vehicle for the formation of a whole and harmonious personality. With the integration of the values ​of love in the learning process, the madrasa is expected to be a safe, inclusive, and supportive environment for the emotional, social, and spiritual development of students, so that it has a positive impact on a more peaceful and civilized society and national life.

Abstract

This study examines female leadership in developing Islamic educational institutions at SDIT 1 Daarussalaam, North Sangatta. The background of this research is the persistent social stigma that questions women's capabilities as leaders, particularly within Islamic education settings. This study employs a descriptive qualitative approach through observation and in-depth interviews with the principal, teachers, and staff, supported by secondary data from school documents. The findings reveal that female leadership at this school is based on professional competence and traits such as gentleness, empathy, and a collaborative approach. Supporting factors for success include the use of technology and strong team cooperation. On the other hand, challenges arise from limited communication with male colleagues and difficulties in interacting with male parents. This study contributes theoretically and practically by strengthening recognition of women's roles as leaders in Islamic educational institutions. It recommends the implementation of technology-based leadership training and the enhancement of professional communication while maintaining ethical conduct.

Abstract

Muhammad Abduh was concerned about the stagnation of the Muslim world. He became a leader in modernizing Islamic education. He believed that this was the key to reviving Muslim glory. He did this by implementing reforms that had never been done before. This research explores Abduh's innovative ideas and actions in reforming the education system and highlights their continued relevance in today's world. Concerning the existing literature, the type of research used in writing this article is library research using a descriptive-qualitative approach. The enduring significance of Abduh's thoughts is: 1) Bridging the knowledge gap, he emphasized the integration of general knowledge with religious studies in Islamic education. 2) Holistic development, he advocates education that covers all aspects - cognitive (thinking), affective (values) and psychomotor (skills) - for well-rounded individuals. 3) Active learner, seeking student participation and the development of higher-order thinking skills. 4) Student-centred approach, he emphasizes the importance of considering students' psychology and individual needs in the learning process. Abduh's vision serves as a beacon for modernizing Islamic education in today's world. His progressive ideas provide a strong foundation for cultivating future generations of faith and knowledge. Ultimately, this will contribute to the progress of Muslim society and civilization.

Abstract

This study examines the implementation of religious moderation through the Tri Dharma of Higher Education at State Islamic University (UIN) Raden Intan Lampung, which was recognized by the Ministry of Religion as the most responsive Islamic higher education institution in strengthening religious moderation. Using a qualitative descriptive approach with field research methods, this study involves structural officials, lecturers, education staff, and students as research subjects. Researchers interviewed to Head, dean, lecturers, students, and human resources of UIN Raden Intan Lampung. They were as primaries data in this research. Then, the data were collected through interviews, observations, documentation, and literature review, and then analyzed using Miles and Huberman's data analysis technique. The findings reveal that UIN Raden Intan Lampung implements religious moderation comprehensively across three pillars: (1) in education and teaching, moderation values are integrated into all courses through formal approaches (Training of Trainers and seminars) and informal approaches (Islamic holiday commemorations, workshops, and Ma'had coaching programs); (2) in research, a special cluster on pluralism and diversity was established through Rector's Decree No. 288 of 2020, producing scientific publications that strengthen moderate narratives and counter intolerant discourse; (3) in community service, programs such as Religious Moderation Community Service Program (KKN), Ramadan Safari, and Melayu Serumpun KKN serve as effective platforms for disseminating tolerance values directly to diverse communities. This study concludes that the holistic integration of religious moderation through the Tri Dharma framework successfully transforms students into agents of social change who promote harmony, tolerance, and inclusivity, thereby establishing universities as catalysts for social transformation amidst Indonesia's diversity.

Abstract

This article focuses on implementing management functions in the Library of SMK Negeri 2 North Sangatta. This study aims to: (1) describe the implementation of management functions in library management at SMK Negeri 2 North Sangatta, (2) describe the constraints in implementing management functions at the library at SMK Negeri 2 North Sangatta. Based on the results of observations and direct interviews with librarians, it can be summarized as follows. First, the application management function, especially in processing library materials in the library at SMK Negeri 2 North Sangatta has not run optimally, starting from inventorying, classifying, and processing library materials. Second, there were obstacles faced by human resources (HR) or librarian personnel who are experts in the library, as well as limited books on majors such as the Department of heavy equipment engineering which were not yet available.

Abstract

Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian survey dengan pendekatan kuantitatif. Penelitian ini menggunakan teknik pengumpulan data yang berupa angket, observasi, dan juga dokumentasi. Populasi dalam penelitian ini yakni seluruh siswa kelas V yang berjumlah 126 siswa, dan sampel penelitian sejumlah 95 siswa sebagai responden. Data analisis menggunakan rumus regresi linear sederhana.Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengukur seberapa besar pengaruh Model Pembelajaran Discovery Learning terhadap Motivasi Belajar Matematika Siswa Kelas V SD Negeri 001 Sangatta Utara. Dari hasil perhitungan yang telah dilakukan, menghasilkan pengaruh penerapan model pembelajaran Discovery Learning terhadap motivasi belajar Matematika siswa sebesar 0,6735 yang terletak di antara interval 0,600-0,799 dengan kategori tergolong kuat atau tinggi sehingga dapat membentuk persamaan Y= 47,10425 + 0,25063X. Hasil hipotesis dengan menggunakan uji T, dan diperoleh nilai Thitung sebesar 8,78673. Dengan tingkat signifikansi sebesar 0,05 atau 5% yaitu Ttabel sebesar 1,985. Karena hasil perbandingan menunjukkan bahwa Thitung > Ttabel dapat disimpulkan bahwa Ha diterima yang artinya terdapat pengaruh yang signifikan pada variabel Model Pembelajaran Discovery Learning (X) terhadap variabel Motivasi Belajar Matematika Siswa (Y). Dengan demikian pengaruh penerapan Model Pembelajaran Discovery Learning Terhadap Motivasi Belajar Matematika Siswa Kelas V SD Negeri 001 Sangatta Utara bernilai positif dengan koefisien determinan sebesar 45,36% sedangkan sisanya 54,64% dipengaruhi oleh faktor kecerdasan emosional siswa, pola asuh orang tua serta lingkungan belajar.

Abstract

The rapid advancement of digital technology has reshaped the global educational landscape, yet its adoption within Islamic education remains complex due to the unique emphasis on character cultivation and spiritual values. This study analyzes the integration of digital technology in Islamic education with a focus on how it enhances learning outcomes while preserving religious values. As education increasingly shifts towards digital platforms, Islamic education faces both opportunities and challenges in adopting modern tools without compromising its spiritual essence. This study employed a qualitative research design, utilizing semi-structured interviews with teachers, administrators, and students, alongside classroom observations and document analysis at madrasahs, pesantren, and Islamic universities. Participants were selected through purposive sampling to provide information-rich insights into technological implementation. The findings show that digital technology can facilitate interactive learning, expand access to educational resources, and improve students’ engagement. At the same time, it is crucial to safeguard Islamic values by carefully selecting and designing digital content that aligns with ethical and religious principles. Specific findings indicate that while gamification and multimedia tools improve comprehension in challenging subjects like Arabic grammar and fiqh, students face challenges such as digital distractions and exposure to unverified religious claims. The study highlights that when appropriately implemented, digital technology strengthens academic achievement and supports students’ holistic development in accordance with Islamic teachings. To ensure success, institutions must implement "Islamic digital citizenship" modules and curate online systems to maintain moral integrity. This integration serves as a strategic step in ensuring that Islamic education remains relevant, effective, and value-driven in the digital era.

Abstract

AbstrackThe learning method is an important thing that must be considered, in addition to the curriculum content or material to be delivered. Because considering the importance of learning methods, an educator must use several methods in each learning process. Both in general or religious subject matter such as the yellow book. This article aims to describe some of the learning methods used in the yellow book learning process at the Sunan Drajad Islamic boarding school Lamongan. By using a qualitative approach and is a type of field research, this research was conducted. Data collection techniques using interviews, observation, and documentation as well as using data analysis, Milles and Huberman. The results show that in the Sunan Drajat Lamongan Islamic boarding school there is a yellow book learning method. There are several yellow book learning methods that are commonly used, including the bandongan, sorogan, memorization, deliberation and collaboration methods. Far from that, in fact, if the use of yellow book learning methods in Islamic boarding schools throughout Indonesia in general and in the Sunan Drajat Lamongan Islamic boarding school, if you can combine some of the above learning methods that we are familiar with, combined with general learning methods such as the role-playing method, demonstrations, recitations, field trips, sociodrama, and so on will certainly make it easier for students to learn the contents of the yellow book. Why should you combine several methods in a learning process, because one method with another has its own character, advantages, and disadvantages. As a result, by using various existing learning methods, the hope is to make it easier for educators (kyai / ustadz / ah) to convey the material and make it easier for students (santri) to learn and understand the material so that the objectives of learning can be achieved.Keywords: learning method, yellow bookAbstrakMetode pembelajaran merupakan hal penting yang harus diperhatikan, selain konten kurikulum atau materi yang akan disampaikan. Karena mengingat pentingnya metode pembelajaran, seorang pendidik harus menggunakan beberapa metode dalam setiap proses pembelajarannya. Baik dalam materi pelajaran umum ataupun keagamaan seperti halnya kitab kuning. Dalam artikel ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan beberapa metode pembelajaran yang dipakai dalam proses pembelajaran kitab kuning di pondok pesantren Sunan Drajad Lamongan. Dengan menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dan merupakan jenis penelitian lapangan, penelitian ini dilakukan. Teknik pengambilan data menggunkan wawancara, observasi dan dokumentasi serta menggunakan analisis data Milles dan Huberman. Adapun hasilnya menunjukkan bahwa di pesantren Sunan Drajat Lamongan terdapat metode pembelajaran kitab kuning. Ada beberapa metode pembelajaran kitab kuning yang lazim digunakan, diantaranya adalah metode bandongan, sorogan, hafalan, musyawarah dan kolaborasi. Jauh dari itu sebenarnya jika penggunaan metode-metode pembalajaran kitab kuning di pondok pesantren di seluruh Indonesia pada umumnya dan di pondok pesantren Sunan Drajat Lamongan jika dapat memadukan beberapa metode pembelajaran di atas yang sudah lazim kita ketahui, dipadukan dengan metode pembelajaran umum seperti metode role palying, demonstrasi, resitasi, karyawisata, sosiodrama dan lain sebagainya tentu akan semakin menambah kemudahan bagi para santri untuk mempelajari isi dari kitab kuning. Mengapa harus memadukan beberapa metode dalam sebuah proses pembelajaran, karena memang satu metode dengan metode lainnya itu memiliki karakter, kelebihan dan kekurangan masing-masing. Walhasil dengan menggunakan berbagai metode pembelajaran yang ada, harapannya adalah untuk memudahkan pendidik (kyai/ustadz/ah) menyampaikan materi dan memudahkan bagi peserta didik (santri) untuk mempelajari dan memahami materinya sehingga tujuan dari pembelajaran dapat tercapai.Kata kunci: metode pembelajaran, kitab kuning
