Abstract

This study aims to improve the learning outcomes of mathematics in class V students. This research was conducted at SDN 219/II BTN Lintas Asri District Bungo Dani. This type of research is a classroom action research (PTK) carried out in collaboration with researchers and class teachers V grade student SDN 219/II BTN Lintas Asri consisting of 20 students. This study uses a number head together (NHT) model, this study was conducted in two cycles, the data collection methods used were tests and observations. Collected data were analyzed qualitatively and quantitatively. The results showed an increase in student learning outcomes after the teacher applied the NHT learning model in integer arithmetic operations. In the first cycle the percentage of completeness of learning outcomes is 55% of students who have not completed 45%. In cycle II students learning completeness increased to 85% and students who were not yet 15% complete. As well as the result of observations of student activity has increased in cycle I that is 66% in cycle II to 91%.

Abstract

This research is motivated by the low process and learning outcomes of elementary school students in grade IV SD Negeri No. 002/XI Pasar Sungai Penuh. So it is necessary to do research with the aim of improving the process and learning outcomes of science after using the cooperative model of the snowball throwing type. The research was carried out using classroom action research (CAR) which consisted of two cycles. Each cycle consists of four stages, namely planning, implementation, observation, and evaluation. The subject of this research is the fourth grade students of SD Negeri No. 002/XI Pasar Sungai Penuh as many as 28 people. Data collection instruments in the form of observation sheets and learning outcomes test questions. Analysis of the data used is descriptive qualitative analysis method. The results showed that (1) an increase in the learning process carried out by teachers from the first cycle reached 83% and an increase in the second cycle reached 94.04%. In addition, the student learning process also experienced a very good increase, where in the first cycle it reached 71.4% and increased in the second cycle it reached 89.3%. (2) there is an increase in students' science learning outcomes with the achievement of learning outcomes test scores in the first cycle reaching 76.6% and experiencing a very good increase in the second cycle reaching 88.6%. Thus, the use of the cooperative model of the snowball throwing type can improve the process and learning outcomes of fourth grade science students.

Abstract

Science learning is declared successful if the predetermined learning objectives can be achieved. However, the results of the pre-observation show that there are problems in the process and learning outcomes of science in class IV SDN 17/II Tanah Grow. This research is a classroom action research (CAR) which was carried out in 2 cycles. Each cycle consists of planning, implementation, observation and reflection. The research instrument used to collect data consisted of observation sheets and learning outcomes test questions. The results showed an increase in the learning process carried out by educators from cycle I to cycle II with a good category, and the learning process of students increased from cycle I to cycle II with a good category. Furthermore, for the learning outcomes obtained by students after participating in learning with the discovery learning model, it showed an increase from the first cycle of 68% to 87.5% with a good category in the second cycle. So the discovery learning model can improve the process and learning outcomes of fourth grade students for science learning content.

Abstract

The problem in this study is the learning process and student learning outcomes in grade V SDN 116/II Empelu are still low, this is evidenced by the results of preliminary observations made by researchers of 20 students only 35% who scored in the completed criteria. The cause is students in the passive class, have not used a varied learning model, and have not used concrete in learning. The researcher's aim is to improve the process and learning outcomes of the mathematics through the Application of the Problem Based Learning model. The research method used in this research is classroom action research. This class action research consists of two cycles, each cycle consisting of four stages of activity namely planning, implementing, observing and reflecting. Data collection with observation sheets for student learning process and tests for student learning outcomes. The results showed that the use of the TGT type of Cooperative Learning Model can increase student process and learning outcomes. This can be seen from the increase in student learning process, in the first cycle reached 55% categorized quite active and in the second cycle increased to 85%.
