Abstract

Sharia economic dispute in Indonesia have become a crucial in the implementation of Islamic law in the economic sector. Religious Courts play a vital role in upholding justice in accordance with sharia principles, including in the resolution of sharia economic disputes. However, not all claims are admissible in court, as reflected in decision Number 462/Pdt.G/2024/PA.Gs at the Gresik Religious Cour, which rejected a sharia economic dispute lawsuit. This study aims to identify the reasons behind the judge’s rejection, describe the court’s decision in handling the dispute, and analyze the legal considerations used in the case. The research method used is qualitative library research with a normative juridical approach, focusing on the judge’s reasoning for rejecting the claim. Data collection techniques included documentation and interviews, while data analysis in this study employed a deductive approach. The findings reveal that: (1) The claim in case Number 462/Pdt.G/2024/PA.Gs was rejected due to insufficient valid evidence, such as dokuments or witness testimonies to support the plaintiff’s claim, rendering it inadmissible to the Religious Court. (2) The judge’s considerations emphasized the importance of clear and valid evidence in judicial proceedings, where the absence of sufficient proof led to the case being dismissed.

The research method uses the Research and Development (RnD) approach, consisting of five stages: Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation (ADDIE). The developed product was validated by material experts and media experts, receiving scores of 90.8% and 90.5%, respectively, and tested on students from four higher education institutions in East Java: University of Trunojoyo Madura, Nahdlatul Ulama Sunan Giri University, Nahdlatul Ulama Surabaya University, and Al-Khozini Sidoarjo Islamic Religious Institute. The first trial was conducted in a small class and produced an average score of 85.4%, followed by a large-class trial with an average score of 83.3%. In comparison, previous test results using a conventional module produced an average score of 72, which increased to an average of 86 when students used the Zakat module based on augmented reality combined with virtual reality. Thus, the results show that the AR and VR technology-based module for Zakat material has a positive impact on student learning outcomes in higher education institutions.

Abstract

Business Artificial Intelligence (BAI) has become a key driver of organizational transformation, enabling advanced analytics, intelligent automation, and data-driven strategic decision-making. However, despite rapid technological progress, empirical research explaining how AI capability, algorithmic transparency, and task–technology alignment collectively shape Sustainable Decision Intelligence (SDI) within real business environments remains limited. To address this gap, this study introduces a novel BAI–SDI framework integrating AI Capability, Algorithmic Transparency, Task-Technology Fit (TTF), Decision Quality, and Sustainable Decision Intelligence as core constructs influencing long-term strategic and sustainable decision outcomes. Using a quantitative approach with Structural Equation Modeling–Partial Least Squares (SEM–PLS), survey data were collected from 402 professionals working in AI- integrated business sectors across Indonesia. The empirical results indicate that AI Capability significantly enhances Task-Technology Fit, while Algorithmic Transparency strongly predicts Decision Quality, emphasizing the importance of interpretability and accountability in trust-driven decision processes. Furthermore, Task-Technology Fit mediates the impact of AI Capability on Decision Quality, demonstrating that effective system-task alignment is essential for maximizing organizational value. The findings provide theoretical advancements by positioning SDI as an empirical extension of decision management theory and offer practical guidance for implementing ethical, transparent, and future-ready AI strategies within business environments. Overall, this study contributes actionable insights for strengthening governance and accelerating sustainable digital transformation in increasingly competitive and AI-driven decision ecosystems.

Abstract

This article discusses the reconstruction and reorientation of polygamy regulations in the Compilation of Islamic Law (KHI), specifically Articles 55–59, through the philosophical framework of maqāṣid al-usrah developed by Jamāluddīn ‘Aṭiyyah. This research is crucial given that the KHI, having been in force for over 30 years, requires a new reading (the expedient of re-interpretation) to preserve the values of maqāṣid in facing contemporary social dynamics. This qualitative study, utilizing a library research method and content analysis, aims to explore the maqāṣid values and evaluate their alignment with Indonesia’s positive legal norms. The analysis results indicate that the KHI implicitly integrates three core dimensions of ‘Aṭiyyah’s maqāṣid al-usrah, namely taḥqīq al-sakīnah wa al-mawaddah wa al-raḥmah, tanẓīm al-’alāqah bayn al-jinsayn, and tanẓīm al-jānib al-mālī li al-usrah, primarily through the key requirement of acting justly (Article 55 Paragraph 2) and the necessity of obtaining permission from the Religious Court (Article 56). ‘Aṭiyyah’s concept, which demands psychological and emotional justice (al-’adālah al-nāfsi-yah wa al-wijdāni-yah), provides a strong foundation for reorienting the interpretation, shifting the focus from formal procedure to the substance of the objective. The article recommends adding ethical and social clauses (such as psychological assessment) and explicitly integrating the maqāṣid al-usrah principles into the KHI, so that Islamic family law can serve as a contextual, humanistic, and solution-oriented guide in realizing substantive justice and protecting family sakīnah.

Abstract

The shifting marriage paradigm toward individual autonomy has triggered the childfree trend, challenging Indonesia’s normative-pronatalist values. This study addresses whether childfree constitutes a betrayal of ḥifẓ al-nasl or a contextual realization of maqāṣid when parenting capacity is compromised. The research gap lies in the polarization between sociological and normative studies that fail to integrate socio-legal analysis with family-specific maqāṣid. This qualitative study employs a socio-legal approach, analyzing the narratives of five Indonesian celebrities via virtual loci and a coding framework based on Jamāluddin ‘Aṭiyyah’s Maqāṣid al-Usrah. Findings indicate that childfree among these celebrities is a contextual maqāṣid realization, not a betrayal of ḥifẓ al-nasl. There is a shift from quantitative regeneration (al-tanāsul) to quality of life (al-injāb). This choice serves as a preventive instrument (sadd al-dhari’ah) to avoid parenting injustice and maintain sakīnah amid mental or financial unreadiness. Reframing ḥifẓ al-nasl as a qualitative commitment to human dignity allows contemporary Islamic law to balance individual autonomy with social stability. Consequently, the government should formulate maqāṣid-based family policies prioritizing parenting quality and mental health over fertility targets.

Abstract

The scarcity of LPG gas that often occurs in urban areas has become a serious challenge for Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs). This condition causes an increase in operational costs and creates uncertainty in energy supply, thus directly impacting business continuity. This community service aims to}overcome these problems by introducing artificial natural gas technology as a sustainable alternative solution. The main problem raised is the high dependence of MSMEs on LPG gas, while its availability is increasingly limited amid increasing demand. The methods used in this community service activity include observation of the energy needs of MSME actors, application of biogas technology to produce artificial natural gas, and technical training on how to operate and maintain the system. Activities are carried out through a participatory approach to ensure understanding and active involvement of the target community. The results of the community service show that the use of artificial natural gas can significantly reduce dependence on LPG, reduce energy costs, and increase the sustainability and operational efficiency of MSMEs. The conclusion of this service is that the application of artificial natural gas technology not only helps overcome the scarcity of LPG, but also makes a real contribution to achieving the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), especially goals 7 (Affordable and Clean Energy), 8 (Decent Work and Economic Growth), and 13 (Addressing Climate Change).
