Abstract

Terdapat banyak pendapat yang menyatakan tentang proses masuknya pengaruh komunisdi Aceh. Salah satunya pendapat tersebut dapat dibaca dalam buku buku karya Rusdi Sufi yang berjudul Peristiwa PKI di Aceh: Sejarah Kelam Konflik Ideologis di Serambi Mekah yang diterbitkan pada tahun 2008 lalu. Memang tidak banyak buku yang membahas secara khusus mengenai komunisme di Aceh. Jadi, paling tidak buku ini menjadi salah satu rujukan yang dapat di pertanggungjawabkan secara akademik. Faham Komunisme masuk ke Aceh melalui proses yang sangat panjang. diawali dengan adanya perpecahan SI menjadi SI Putih dan Si Merah. Perpecahan tersebut kemudian dimanfaatkan sebagai media penyebaran ideologi komunis, salah satunya di wilayah Aceh. Dalam buku Rusdi Sufi, komunisme teridentifikasi masuk ke Samalanga pada tahun 1927 dengan terbentuknya PKI. Dampaknya adalah banyak pemuda-pemuda Samalanga yang terpengaruh ideologi komunis. Salah satunya adalah Tgk. Abdoel Hamid, putra dari ulama Besar di Tanjong, Tgk. Haji Malem. Komunisme yang berkembang di bukanlah komunisme atheis, melainkan komunis yang disebabkan karena perpecahan Sarekat Islam yang nasionalis. Salah satu tokoh yang berperan penting dalam proses masuknya komunisme di Aceh adalah Abdul Xarim. Oleh karena itu, tulisan ini akan membahas mengenai kiprah Abdul Xarim dalam proses masuknya komunisme di Aceh.

Abstract

The curriculum is a strategic basis for the design of education; education in a country must aim to become independent and empower every human being who takes an education. This article examines the education unit-level curriculum (KTSP) in historical subjects. Using the literature study method, researchers conduct research by collecting a number of books, articles, magazines, and other text sources related to the problem and research objectives. The results show that the Education Unit Level Curriculum (KTSP) is a curriculum compiled and implemented by every element of education in Indonesia. The purpose of implementing KTSP is for education units to give authority (autonomy) to each educational institution and to encourage schools to make participatory decisions in developing the curriculum for the sake of self-sufficiency and empowerment of every educational actor, especially in historical subjects. But KTSP is the same as any other curriculum with weaknesses and strengths. These weaknesses include a lack of human resources, minimal infrastructure, a lack of understanding of teachers about KTSP, and a reduction in teaching hours which causes a reduction in teacher income. Then there are also several advantages, namely: encouraging the realization of school autonomy, encouraging the ability of teachers, and allowing schools to arrange their lessons to suit the needs of students.Keywords: Analysis, KTSP, IKM, History Lesson.

Abstract

The aims of this research are 1). prove the characteristics of Generation Z as the subject of character education, between theory and facts in the field, 2). find the possibility to reduce the gap between generations and unify the vision of character education, 3). formulate solutions and methods that can be applied so that the implementation of character education in schools can be more effectiveThe research method used is qualitative with phenomenology type. Methods of data collection using observation, interviews and questionnaires. The subjects of your research were junior high school students from several schools in Langsa City, Aceh and the border areas of North Sumatra. The informants who participated in this study were 44 students. Coming from 3 schools namely SMPN 2 Langsa, SMPN 3 Langsa and SMPN 1 Babalan, North Sumatra. The research was conducted in May 2021. The data validity technique used source triangulation and interactive analysis was used as a data analysis technique.The results of this study indicate that the characteristics of Generation Z are not fully owned by children in their early teens in research settings. In some cases, differences in character and values between teachers and students become obstacles to strengthening character education. Integrity character is the weakest character. Barriers to social relations in the development of Generation Z are caused by the fact that they are in the stage of finding their own identity and characteristics. In this situation, the teacher can take the role of guiding and providing support so that there is no gap between generations which results in culture shock between the teacher and student relationship. The initial conditions of the Z generation can be used as a reference for determining teacher efforts in obtaining keys in interpersonal relations with students and building an atmosphere that supports strengthening character education

Abstract

Integrasi bangsa menjadi isu yang sangat penting di tengah kondisi Aceh pasca konflik. Pengalaman konflik Aceh sejak tahun 1976-2005 menyebabkan rawan disintegrasi bangsa. Terlebih adanya residu pasca konflik berupa etnosentrisme dan masih munculnya rasa curiga terhadap orang baru berpotensi memunculkan disharmoni hubungan masyarakat multi etnik. Langsa sebagai bagian dari wilayah Aceh pasca konflik memiliki masyarakat multietnik dengan keberagaman budaya, bahasa, dan karakter. Tulisan ini secara khusus menganalisis kearifan lokal sebagai media pendidikan integrasi bangsa. Tulisan ini didasarkan pada argumen bahwa kearifan lokal tidak sekedar bersifat berguna bagi satu komunitas masyarakat saja, tetapi telah menjadi media dalam integrasi sosial masyarakat dan menjadi media pendidikan integrasi bangsa yang dapat mengintegrasikan masyarakat multietnik pasca konflik Aceh. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif dengan pendekatan fenomenologi. Penelitian ini merupakan kerja lapangan (field work) melalui tahapan observasi, wawancara mendalam dan analisis data. Selain itu, data juga didapatkan melalui studi pustaka untuk mendapatkan data yang relevan dengan tema penelitian. Penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa khanduri memiliki nilai-nilai pendidikan integrasi bangsa sehingga mampu menjadi jembatan untuk mengintegrasikan masyarakat multietnik dengan cara membangun kesadaran akan rasa persatuan, saling menghormati, menghargai perbedaan etnik. Kemampuan kearifan lokal sebagai rekayaya sosial dan ketahanan sosial ini dapat dikembangkan sebagai sebuah kebijakan integrasi bangsa berbasis kearifan lokal di Aceh pasca konflik. Oleh sebab itu perlu dilakukan penelitian lanjutan untuk menggali dan mendalami peran kearifan lokal dari masyarakat multietnik di Aceh yang dapat berfungsi sebagai media pendidikan integrasi bangsa.

Abstract

Di tengah arus perubahan zaman, menjaga tradisi adalah salah cara untuk menghadapi tantangan modernitas. Ini memungkinkan masyarakat untuk menjaga keseimbangan antara perubahan dan pelestarian budaya mereka. Tradisi Melawat di Simeulue memiliki nilai penting dalam mempertahankan budaya lokal, menguatkan ikatan sosial, dan mempromosikan nilai-nilai positif dalam masyarakat. Dengan menjaga dan mewariskan tradisi melawat, masyarakat Simeulue akan merasa terhubung dengan akar budaya mereka sambil menghadapi perubahan zaman yang terus berlanjut. Penelitian ini membahas asal-usul tradisi melawat di Simeulue dan mengidentifikasi kontribusi tradisi melawat dalam melestarikan warisan budaya Simeulue, termasuk upaya pelestarian dan peningkatan kesadaran masyarakat terhadap budaya mereka sendiri. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa tradisi Melawat di Simeulue memiliki akar sejarah yang kuat. Tradisi ini muncul pada saat masyarakat Simeulue pertama kali memeluk agama Islam oleh Teuku di Ujung. Kedatangan Teuku di Ujung bertujuan untuk menyebarkan agama Islam di Simeulue dengan cara mengajak masyarakat Simeulue untuk mengunjungi desa-desa di Kabupaten Simeulue. Inilah yang kemudian melahirkan tradisi Melawat di Simeulue, yang terus berkembang hingga saat ini berkat peran Teuku di Ujung dalam memperkenalkan agama Islam di wilayah tersebut. Selanjutnya, perkembangan tradisi Melawat dari tahun ke tahun mengalami banyak perubahan. Dahulu, transportasinya biasanya menggunakan jalur laut, tetapi sekarang telah berkembang menjadi lebih fleksibel dengan adanya opsi transportasi darat. Pada masa lalu, cara menyampaikan niat untuk berkunjung biasanya dilakukan dengan mengirim kabar melalui orang yang akan pergi ke seberang pulau atau melalui masyarakat setempat. Namun, seiring berjalannya waktu, tradisi ini telah mengadopsi metode surat-menyurat sebagai cara yang lebih efisien untuk mengkomunikasikan niat untuk melakukan kunjungan.

Abstract

The Nandong tradition is an abstract expression representing Simeulue's unique cultural heritage. This research aims to describe the local wisdom values of the Nandong tradition in Simeulue and their function in cultural inheritance for the local community. This research was conducted using a qualitative ethnographic approach. This research shows that the Simeulue people have various oral traditions, including the nanga-nanga and Dandong traditions. These traditions have meaningful values passed down by their ancestors from generation to generation and are instilled in the daily life of the Simeulue people. , these values are the delivery of moral messages, advice, attitudes of respect, responsibility, and resilience; these values cannot be separated from religious teachings. The cultural inheritance of the local wisdom values of the Nandong tradition is to perform Nandong arts at Simeulue birthday events and cultural festivals, welcoming guests as well as at weddings and circumcisions of the apostles and inviting the public to watch every Nandong performance so that people understand Nandong. Nandong art is also inherited through Nandong poetry, which contains important meaning, namely the advice in it, which is then conveyed to the public regarding knowledge of the signs of natural phenomena. However, the preservation of Nandong culture has begun to fade due to the development of modern musical instruments, so local culture is increasingly rarely displayed.

Abstract

This study aims to reveal the railway networks, industrialization, and development of Langsa, Aceh in 1907-1943s. In the early 1900s, Langsa was designed as a Government Center and a   new economic center on the East Coast of Aceh. However, Langsa was not yet connected to the railway networks, so it was necessary to build a railway line as one of the supporting infrastructures. The construction of the railway networks changed many things, ranging from urban landscape, economy, politics, to socio-culture. To pursue the aim of this study, historical methods consisted of heuristics, source criticism, interpretation and historiography were applied. The sources used were colonial archives, contemporary newspapers, contemporary magazines, and other relevant sources. This study found that the construction of the railway networks in Langsa was part of the Dutch colonial government's strategy to maximize economic benefits in the eastern coastal region of Aceh by building connectivity from the North and South regions. The development of the railway networks also had an impact on the growth of the economy, the mobilization of a dynamic population, the growth of good infrastructure for travelers, facilitating communication networks, to encourage the emergence of various types of new professions. However, the construction of the railway networks played a role in environmental damage in the eastern coastal region of Aceh as well as gave insignificant impact on the development of Aceh's indigenous human resources.

Abstract

Generasi muda saat ini cenderung lemah pengetahuan budaya serta pembelajaran sejarah di sekolah sedikit menjadikan tradisi lokal sebagai sumber belajar, salah satunya tradisi meugang. Penelitian bertujuan mengidentifikasi tradisi meugang masyarakat kota Langsa dan bagaimana relevansi terhadap pembelajaran sejarah. Metode menerapkan jenis kualitatif deskriptif dengan observasi, wawancara dan dokumentasi sebagai proses membantu pengumpulan data. Kemudian, di analisis melalui reduksi, penyajian dan simpulan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan di kota Langsa tradisi meugang yang paling meriah adalah saat menyambut bulan puasa dan hari raya Idulfitri. Tradisi meugang memiliki relevansi  dalam pembelajaran sejarah. Pembelajaran sejarah di SMA mengadopsi dua kurikulum, yaitu 2013 dan merdeka. Pada Kurikulum 2013, pembelajaran sejarah terbagi menjadi sejarah wajib (Indonesia) dan sejarah peminatan. Tradisi meugang memiliki relevansi dengan materi sejarah Indonesia pada masa Islam dan masa kolonial. Pada pembelajaran sejarah peminatan, terutama materi berpikir sejarah, sumber sejarah, dan penelitian sejarah untuk kelas X, serta pada tema perkembangan budaya pada era orde baru dan reformasi untuk kelas XII. Pada kurikulum merdeka relevan pada fase E untuk kelas X, mencakup materi masa kerajaan islam di Indonesia.

Abstract

The development of technology has had a significant impact on the education sector. The use of technology, including ChatGPT, as a tool in providing academic support for students is becoming increasingly common. This study aims to analyze the impact of using ChatGPT on the quality of academic support for students. This research is a literature review using a qualitative approach, which means that it will analyze and interpret data using information and text from a variety of different sources. The study results show that the use of ChatGPT in student academic support has a significant impact on accessibility and learning efficiency. Although it provides easy access to information, it should be noted that irreplaceable human interaction remains important. The development of this technology requires wise integration, focusing on training education-specific models and involving teachers in continuous monitoring and development.

Abstract

This paper focuses on the historical exploration and collective memory of the Tamiang Monument in Medan, Indonesia. This paper examines how monuments can build collective memory and link history to people's lives at a certain time so that it can be interpreted. Through historical methods, the study results show that the Tamiang Monument plays an essential role in the inheritance of collective memory about the conquest of Tamiang as part of the Aceh region by the Dutch colonialists. The monument is an important symbol to remind people of the greatness and courage in the struggle against the colonizers. However, after the Tamiang Monument was destroyed, all narratives and reminders of the Tamiang War were lost. The loss of this monument also has implications for the loss of the values of the legacy of tenacity, fighting spirit, and collective identity associated with this important event. Therefore, it is important to rebuild the Tamiang Monument as an initial step to revive collective memory and pass on the values of struggle to the younger generation. Monuments play an important role in building and maintaining the community's collective identity and strengthening the historical awareness of the Tamiang and Aceh communities.
