Abstract

The research that was carried out in Lombok marine tourism is purposed to find out 1) the condition of coral reef ecosystem 2) the condition of waters oceanography and 3) the relationship between the conditions of coral reef ecosystem and the oceanography condition of Lombok marine tourism. The observation was conducted with the line transect method in the windward zone and leeward zone, in 3 meters and 10 meters depth with three test times. The condition of coral reef that would be analyzed is about 1) percentage of the coral cover 2) the death index of coral 3) the form of growth coral, whereas the oceanography condition that would be analyzed is the temperature, salinity, the pH, DO, the brightness, and the flow speed. Knowing the relationship between the condition of coral reefs and the condition of oceanography will be carried out with the analysis of regression. The result shows that the condition of coral reefs ecosystem in windward zone has 36.9% cover coral, the death index of coral 0.17, the form growth coral that was found is 13 kinds 251 number of forms of the growth coral, while the condition of coral reef ecosystem in leeward zone reached 23.72% cover coral, the death index of coral 0.45, the form of growth coral that was found is 11 kinds 276 number of forms of the growth coral. The condition of oceanography factor of windward zone has 22,36 meters brightness, the temperature 27.52◦C, the flow speed 4.77 m./sec, the salinity 33.21 Ppt, the pH 7.56 and the protracted oxygen 6.41 Mg.l-1, the brightness of leeward zone reached 14.36 meter, the temperature 27.83◦C, the speed of the flow 2.68 m./sec, the salinity 31.54 Ppt, the pH 7.77 and the protracted oxygen 5.40 Mg.l-1. There is relationship between the oceanographic factor and the condition of coral reef ecosystem, from the sixth oceanographic factors, salinity has the highest effective contribution that is 49.79%, and the lowest is the pH that only 1.52%.

Abstract

Science process skills include cognitive and psychomotor skills that can contribute to helping students learn facts, concepts, principles, or theories, so that students can effectively study science. This research was conducted to examine whether there is an effect of implementing the concept map method in guided inquiry learning on students' science process skills. The study was conducted with an Intact Group Comparison design. The research subjects were junior high school students in Mataram City. The research took place in the even semester of the 2020/2021 academic year. Purposive sampling technique was applied to obtain a sample of 91 individual students from two junior high schools. The results showed that, students who implemented concept map preparation during guided inquiry learning had a higher science process skill score than students who applied guided inquiry learning, but did not make concept maps and conventional class students. The conclusions of this study indicate that the preparation of concept maps in guided inquiry learning has a significant effect on students' science process skills. Based on these conclusions, it is recommended that educators try to apply guided inquiry learning, accompanied by assignments to make concept maps.

Abstract

The aims of this research are to analyze the content of Lead in blood cockle (Genus: Anadara) at West Lombok Labuhan Tereng coastal waters. The content of lead in sediment and clams was analysis at Mataram University Analytical Laboratory by using wet digestion method and measured using atomic absorption spectrophotometer (AAS) in 283.3 nm wavelength. The results then compared with the sediments and clams standards applicable. Results of Pb in the sediment measurements show that the highest lead levels is 30.66 mg/kg found in around Dusun Cemara coast. The results obtained are still at the level targets under Dutch Quality Standards for Metals in sediments (IADC / CEDA), 1997. The highest Pb levels in blood clams is 13,075 mg/kg contained by a medium-sized (3.08 cm) of species A. antiquata around Kebon Talo estuary. These results are indicate that the levels of Pb in blood cockle is already distant exceeded the threshold of consumption under Indonesian National Standar, 2009 which is equals to 1.5 mg/kg, so the clams blood in coastal waters Labuhan Tereng should not be consumed greatly overheated because the accumulative character of Pb can be harmful for health.Keywords: Blood cockle, sediment, acumulation, lead

Abstract

This study aims to determine the level of teacher skills in science learning in junior high schools facing the 21st century, especially the basic teaching skills of teachers. The research examined consisted of two types of data, namely qualitative and quantitative from the eight basic skills of teachers. The qualitative and quantitative data were interpreted and obtained information from the group discussion forums. The results show that the level of basic teaching skills for science teachers in Mataram City Junior High School is 33.4% very good, 60% in a good position, 6.6% at a sufficient level. Meanwhile, of the eight basic teaching skills of science teachers, the skills to open lessons and various teaching skills for junior high school science teachers in Mataram have very good skills, while explaining skills are still lacking, and basic teaching skills in very good categories are found in junior high school science teachers who are senior or already occupying a position. Coach level IV/a and above.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to examine the effect of the application of the guided inquiry learning model assisted by concept maps on the scientific literacy of junior high school students in the city of Mataram. The research was conducted through a pretest-posttest design with a non-randomized control group. The sampling technique was purposive sampling. The sample of 90 students was divided into three classes, where the first-class applied guided inquiry learning assisted by concept maps, the second class applied inquiry learning without the help of concept maps, and the third class applied conventional learning. All classes were given a pretest and posttest scientific literacy. Data in the form of pretest and posttest scores were analyzed by Analysis of Variance (ANOVA) and continued with the Least Significance Difference (LSD) test at 5% alpha. The results showed that the mean score of students' scientific literacy in the class that applied the guided inquiry learning model assisted by concept maps was significantly higher than the mean score of the conventional class. The conclusion is that there is an effect of the implementation of the inquiry learning model assisted by the concept map method on students' scientific literacy

Abstract

Abstrak:Penelitian ini bertujuan 1) Mengetahui laju petumbuhan kerangka karang Acropora (Acropora nobilis dan Acropora nosuta) 2) mengidentifikasi kondisi perairan Senggigi. Pengukuran pertumbuhan karang dilakukan selama empat bulan dengan metode Alizarin red meliputi pertumbuhan panjang dan pertambahan bobot. Untuk mengetahui perbedaan pertumbuhan pada kedua jenis karang, dilakukan uji t sedangkan kondisi perairan dilakukan uji laboratorium dan dibahas secara diskriptif. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa pertumbuhan panjang kerangka Acropora nobilis mencapai 17.79 mm atau 0.148 mm/hari dan Acropora nosuta mencapai 14.28 mm atau 0.12 mm/hari. Sedangkan pertambahan bobot kerangka Acropora nobilis mencapai 513.1 mg atau 4.27 mg /hari dan Acropora nosuta mencapai 264.9 mg atau 2.21 mg /hari. Uji statistik menunjukan bahwa ada perbedaan laju pertumbuhan antara kerangka karang Acropora  nobilis dan Acropora nosuta.  Kondisi fisika kimia perairan Sengigi selama penelitian rata-rata sangat baik karena masih pada kisaran batas toleransi untuk persyaratan pertumbuhan karang pada umumnya Kata kunci : Pertumbuhan; Kerangka karang; Acropora sp Abstract: Aims of this research are to know the growth of Acropora  (Acropora nobilis and Acropora nosuta) and identify waters condition of Senggigi. Measurement of the growth of length and weight increasing were carried out for four months by Alizarin methods (red). T test was applied to know difference of the growth on two sorts of the coral, whereas waters was examined in laboratory and presented by description. Results of this research points out that length of growth  of Acropora nobilis is 18.89 mm/four months or 0.15 mm/day, meanwhile Acropora nosuta reaches 15.32 mm/ four months or 0.127 mm/day. Rising of weight of Acropora nobilis is 541.2 mg/ four months or 4.8 mg/day, whereas Acropora nosuta reaches 323.5 mg/ four months or 3.1 mg/day. Statistics test shows there is a difference in the growth of length between Acropora nobilis and Acropora nosuta. During this research, physical and chemical condition of Senggigi waters was generally very good, the conditions of environment were in range of toleration for growing coral. Keywords : Growth; Coral skeleton; Acropora sp

Abstract

Abstrak: Zona intertidal merupakan daerah pantai yang terletak antara pasang tertinggi dan surut terendah. Salah satu ekosistem yang terdapat di kawasan intertidal adalah ekosistem terumbu karang. Terumbu karang merupakan salah satu ekosistem laut yang menjadi sumber kehidupan bagi berbagai biota laut sehingga keberadaannya sangat penting, baik dari segi ekologis maupun ekonomis. Pantai Mandalika memiliki ekosistem terumbu karang dengan zona intertidal yang cukup luas. Pesatnya perkembangan wisata di Pantai Mandalika secara tidak langsung akan mempengaruhi kehidupan terumbu karang. Penelitian ini dilakukan untuk menyediakan data dan informasi terkini mengenai kondisi keanekaragaman karang keras di zona intertidal Pantai Mandalika yang mencakup komposisi spesies, famili dan bentuk pertumbuhan, serta indeks ekologi (indeks keanekaragaman, keseragaman dan dominansi spesies). Pengambilan data dilakukan pada bulan Juni 2019 selama periode surut terendah di kawasan intertidal. Metode yang digunakan yaitu metode Underwater Photo Transect (UPT). Hasil penelitian ini menemukan 30 spesies karang keras yang termasuk dalam 8 famili di zona intertidal Pantai Mandalika. Favites paraflexuosa adalah spesies yang paling banyak ditemukan di daerah tersebut dengan persentase 22%. Famili Faviidae (79%) memiliki persentase terbesar di semua transek. Ada 5 jenis bentuk pertumbuhan karang keras di daerah yang 87% di antaranya adalah bentuk karang masif. Nilai indeks keanekaragaman Shannon-Wiener adalah 2,5 dengan indeks keseragaman 0,8, dan indeks dominansi 0,1.Kata kunci: komunitas, terumbu karang, zona intertidal, keanekaragaman, Pantai Mandalika.Abstract: The intertidal zone is a coastal area located between the highest and lowest tides. One of the ecosystems in the intertidal area is the coral reef ecosystem. The coral reef is one of the marine ecosystems which is a source of life for various marine biota so that its existence is very important, both in ecological and economic terms. Mandalika Beach has a coral reef ecosystem with a fairly extensive intertidal zone. The rapid development of tourism in Mandalika Beach will indirectly affect the life of coral reefs. This research to provide data for the existing condition of hard corals diversity in the area for better understanding of future research. This research covers the species, family and life form composition, and ecologycal indices (diversity, species equitability, and dominance indices). The research was conducted on June 2019 during the lowest tide period and carried out with a Underwater Photo Transect (UPT) method. The results revealed that Mandalika’s Intertidal Zone had 30 species of hard corals that belongs to 8 families. Favites paraflexuosa was the most abundant coral in the area with 22% of community composition. The Faviidae family (79%) had the largest percentage in all transects. There were 5 type life forms of hard corals in the area which 92% of them were coral massive type. The Shannon-Wiener diversity index score was 2.5 with equitability index 0.8, and dominance index is 0.1. Keywords: community coral reef, intertidal zone, diversity, Mandalika Beach.

Abstract

In the current era of digital information and communication media, the Bayan indigenous people still firmly maintain the existence of traditional communication. The Bayan indigenous people are part of the Sasak people who live on the island of Lombok, West Nusa Tenggara. Traditional communication has an essential role in the social life of the community. Besides being able to bind relations between communities to be harmonious, it is also the identity of a society. In this regard, knowing how the Bayan indigenous community can maintain traditional communication in the digital media era is crucial. Data were collected by interview, observation, and documentation methods, with the resource persons being the village heads of Sukadana, Baturakit, and Bayan, as well as traditional leaders from the villages of Baturakit and Karang Bajo. The results show that the Bayan indigenous people continue to use digital media or the internet to add insight. However, the Bayan indigenous people also consistently maintain traditional communication. The still-functioning traditional institutions indicate this; still ongoing traditional rituals, including traditional rituals related to Islamic holidays, gawe urip rituals, namely rituals related to life, gawe pati rituals, namely traditional ceremonies related to death; and the functioning of customary awik-awik or customary law. The existence of the traditional communication of the Bayan indigenous people is the responsibility of the customs authorities, the Bayan indigenous people in general, and government policymakers. The factors that affect the durability of this traditional communication are: people's belief in the values ​​of their ancestors that are still firmly held, strong characterizations of traditional stakeholders as opinion leaders, and customary sanctions are also reasons for indigenous peoples to maintain traditional values ​​which are manifested in traditional communication.

Abstract

Pembelajaran IPA di sekolah masih kurang menerapkan literasi sains peserta didik. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan e-modul IPA berbasis 3D Pageflip Professional yang valid, praktis dan efektif untuk meningkatkan literasi sains peserta didik. Pengembangan e-modul IPA berbasis 3D Pageflip Professional menggunakan metode pengembangan 4D yaitu define, design, develop, disseminate. Subjek uji coba pada penelitian adalah peserta didik kelas VIII SMP di Kota Mataram. Pada uji coba terbatas, subjek terdiri dari satu kelas pada satu sekolah, sedangkan pada uji coba skala luas subjek terdiri dari empat kelas dari dua sekolah. Hasil uji validitas e-modul IPA berbasis 3D Pageflip Professional dilakukan oleh tiga dosen ahli Magister Pendidikan IPA memperoleh nilai rata-rata 84% dengan kategori sangat layak. Sehingga dapat disimpulkan bahwa e-modul IPA berbasis 3d pageflip professional layak digunakan di sekolah untuk meningkatkan literasi sains peserta didik.

Abstract

The purpose of this community service is to provide motivation and socialization about the innovative work of teachers, in connection with the obligations of professional teachers. The observations show that Mathematics teachers still need more in-depth guidance on PTK (Class Action Research), starting from making proposals, implementation in the classroom, and how to make PTK reports. Likewise with the activity of writing scientific papers, it seems that more intensive training is needed.
