Abstract

The goal of this study was to create a two-tier multiple-choice diagnostic instrument to identify students' misconceptions. In developing this instrument, 207 students were involved in interviews, essay tests, multiple-choice tests with open reasons, and two-tier diagnostic tests. The Cronbach's alpha equation yields a dependability value of 0.764 for the 16 valid questions. Based on the misconception analysis of the six main concepts, the majority of students had misconceptions. Overall, the instrument is quite effective for determining student misconceptions. In order to assess students' misconceptions about acids and bases, this instrument might be used as a substitute test.

Abstract

Pertanian adalah suatu kegiatan manusia yang termasuk didalamnya yaitu bercocok tanam, peternakan, perikanan dan juga kehutanan. Sebagian besar kurang lebih dari 50 persen mata pencaharian masyarakat di Indonesia adalah sebagai petani, sehingga sektor pertanian sangat penting untuk dikembangkan di negara kita. tanah dapat dilakukan secara cepat dan tidak memerlukan tenaga yang berlebih. Maka dari itu diperlukan dengan adanya alat mesin penggembur tanah dengan sistem pisau rotary tersebut. Dalam penelitian dilapangan ini mempersiapkan lahan perkebunan sebagai tempat pegujian mesin penggembur tanah dimana total luas lahan tersebut 225 m2 atau 0,0225 Ha. Setelah melakukan penyiapan lahan langkah selanjutnya yaitu melakukan uji coba pada mesin penggembur tanah dilapangan yang dimana sudah dipersiapkan pola pola eskperimen yang sudah ditentukan diantaranya pola bolak – balik rapat, pola keliling tengah, pola keliling tepi, pola spiral, pola tepi dan pola tengah yang bertujuan untuk mengambil data penelitian. Nilai kapasitas kerja aktual yang didapatkan dari hasil penggemburan tanah dipengaruhi oleh waktu yang terpakai saat proses tersebut berjalan. Semakin singkat waktu yang digunakan selama proses penggemburan maka nilai kapasitas kerja aktual yang dihasilkan akan semakin besar. Hasil penelitian menyatakan bahwa kapasitas kerja pengolahan tanah dengan menggunakan mesin penggembur tanah yang pertama sudah ditentukan variasinya yaitu kecepatan 1000 rpm, dimana sangat cukup efesien pengerjaannya yang memiliki nilai tertinggi yaitu adalah pola bolak – balik rapat sebesar 0,044 ha/jam dan memiliki nilai paling terendah adalah pola keliling tengah sebesar 0,033 ha/jam. Selanjutnya variasi kecepatan 1500 rpm dimana sangat cukup efesien pengerjaannya yang memiliki nilai tertinggi yaitu adalah pola bolak – balik rapat sebesar 0,068 ha/jam dan memiliki nilai paling terendah adalah pola keliling tengah sebesar 0,044 ha/jam.

Abstract

The Diporejo Farmers Community, Kedayunan Village in Banyuwangi Regency, has quite high potential for agricultural waste product from cultivating papaya (Carica papaya). If agricultural waste was not utilized properly, it caused problems in the form of pollution of surrounding environment, disturbing the surroundings and becoming a source of disease. The aim of this Community Service activity is to assist farmer community in developing papaya waste product into natural pesticides. Several series of community service activities have been carried out, such as: 1) conducting socialization on natural pesticides and 2) carrying out the practice of making natural pesticides. Further service activities carried out are 3) production of pesticides independently and periodically by groups of farmers, and 4) application of pesticides on chili cultivation. The results of monitoring carried out for approximately 3 months showed that plant-based pesticides made from papaya leaves were applied as a form of prevention against OPT (Plant Pest Organisms), farmer groups were able to produce plant-based pesticides independently and continuously, the intensity of pests caught in yellow traps installed on chili plants experienced a significant decline.

Abstract

Adanya inovasi Banyuwangi Cerdas pada kualitas pembelajaran yang menggunaan digitalisasi diharapkan dapat membuat pelayanan guru kepada siswa dapat meningkat, khususnya materi pelajaran yang tidak disukai oleh siswa. Pembuatan media pembelajaran yang menarik untuk siswa dapat membuat siswa semangat mengikuti kegiatan pembelajaran. Berdasarkan hasil dari survei di salah satu SMK di Banyuwangi, Guru Matematika masih menggunakan pembelajaran konvensional. Oleh karena itu perlu dilakukan peningkatan kemampuan Guru matematika dalam pembuatan media pembelajaran menggunakan canva. Canva dipilih karena sebagian guru sudah mengenal namun belum terlalu memahami fiturnya. Selain itu canva juga menyediakan berbagai template media pembelajaran. Tahapan pengabdian masyarakat ini terdiri dari tiga tahapan yaitu membuat video tutorial pembuatan media pembelajaran dengan menggunakan canva. Langkah kedua melakukan sosialisasi dan pendampingan pembuatan media pembelajaran. Tahap terakhir yaitu observasi media pembelajaran yang dihasilkan saat pendampingan. Hasil dari pendampingan sebanyak 5 orang guru memiliki kemampuan sangat baik dan 1 orang guru memiliki kemampuan baik dalam pembuatan media pembelajaran Matematika.

Abstract

The main objective of this study is to develop a highly accurate, high-fidelity model of bearing geometry, which reflects the actual geometry of the bearing to ensure the validity of the analysis. The model will carefully take into account various geometric parameters, such as bearing dimensions and tolerances, and detect potential errors in the model. Simulations are carried out by applying realistic static loads and boundary conditions, close to actual operating conditions, to obtain relevant and practical results. In addition, calculations and analysis of stress distribution throughout the bearing are also carried out, with the aim of identifying stress distribution patterns and determining areas with the highest stress. This analysis is crucial for detecting possible failures and ensuring optimal bearing design. Deformation in various parts of the bearing is measured to understand changes in shape and stiffness of the structure under load. This measurement aims to find the area with the highest deformation and evaluate the bearing response to the applied load. Finally, an evaluation of bearing safety factors is carried out to ensure sufficient safety margins in accordance with industry standards, with the hope of ensuring the reliability and long-term service life of the bearing as well as improving the performance and efficiency of the mechanical systems that use it.

Abstract

Efforts to improve communication skills are carried out through improving literacy skills in formal education. Both through elementary school to junior high school. Communication skills will improve if literacy skills increase. A number of students from SDN 1 Watukebo revealed that language learning can be more fun by using games. This community service process is carried out to improve student communication with fun learning using the Monopoly Game called TRAVELOPOLY (Tourist Routes and Visits Engage Language Learning Monopoly Game). The service method used is the PAR (Participatory Action Research) method where the implementer and the teacher both conduct learning using the TGT Method. The results of this service include the development of the TRAVELOPOLY Game; increase students' pretest and posttest scores; and improving the communication skills of students. The improvement in English communication of class 5A students was 10 students, while class 5B as many as 16 students

Abstract

Kabupaten Banyuwangi adalah daerah tujuan wisata yang memiliki banyak objek wisata. Hal ini dikarenakan Banyuwangi memiliki potensi sumber daya alam yang besar. Banyaknya objek wisata yang ada di Banyuwangi mengakibatkan semakin besarnya kebutuhan informasi rute menuju tempat wisata yang akan dikunjungi. Rute terpendek dapat mengefisienkan waktu, tenaga, dan biaya yang dikeluarkan wisatawan.  Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk melakukan pencarian jalur terpendek menuju objek wisata tertentu dari posisi awal wisatawan berada dengan menerapkan algoritma Floyd-Warshall. Algoritma Floyd Warshall adalah algoritma sederhana yang mampu membandingkan semua kemungkinan lintasan pada graph untuk semua sisi dan simpul.  Algoritma ini memiliki input matriks persegi yang merupakan representasi graf berarah berbobot model jaringan pariwisata Kabupaten Banyuwangi. Hasil penelitian diperoleh rute terpendek dari jaringan pariwisata Kabupaten Banyuwangi.Kata kunci: Rute terpendek, Algoritma Floyd-Warshall, Jaringan Pariwisata

Abstract

SMK NU Sudirman Rogojampi is currently preparing to implement the Merdeka Curriculum in accordance with the Ministry of Education, Culture, Research, and Technology Regulation No. 12 of 2024. The Kurikulum Merdeka provides students with the freedom to explore their skills and interests. However, SMK NU Sudirman is currently lacking the necessary capacity, both in terms of infrastructure and human resources, to fully implement the curriculum. The learning system at SMK NU Sudirman Rogojampi remains conventional, relying on face-to-face classroom instruction. Additionally, the teachers at SMK NU Sudirman have not yet acquired the skills needed to develop digital learning media. Teaching materials are still based on textbooks and worksheets, which results in monotonous learning experiences and reduces student interest in learning. To address these challenges, this community service initiative proposes the development of a Learning Management System (LMS) and training on creating interactive learning media using H5P. Once the LMS is developed, teachers and students will be introduced to its usage. Additionally, interactive learning media creation workshops will be held for teachers, enabling them to deliver more engaging and enjoyable lessons for their students. The outcomes of this project indicate that both teachers and students were able to easily use the LMS. Furthermore, teachers found it easy to create interactive learning media. Students also showed greater interest in learning through the interactive media created by their teachers compared to conventional textbook

Abstract

The integration of Information and Communication Technology (ICT) in education has transformed teaching and learning practices, particularly in diverse classrooms where students have varying learning needs, backgrounds, and abilities. Traditional instructional methods often fail to address these differences effectively, highlighting the need for adaptive and technology-driven educational approaches. ICT provides opportunities for personalized learning, real-time feedback, and interactive engagement, fostering improved student outcomes across multiple disciplines. This study aims to assess the impact of ICT integration on student performance, engagement, and overall learning effectiveness in diverse classroom settings. A mixed-methods research approach was employed, combining quantitative analysis of student achievement data with qualitative insights from teacher observations and student feedback. Findings indicate that ICT-enhanced learning environments lead to increased student participation, better knowledge retention, and improved problem-solving skills. Statistical analysis revealed a strong correlation between ICT adoption and higher academic performance, particularly in STEM subjects. The study concludes that ICT integration is a crucial factor in modern education, promoting equity, accessibility, and personalized learning experiences. Future research should explore long-term impacts of ICT-driven instruction and strategies for optimizing technology use in different educational contexts.

Abstract

Bamboo is a very easy plant found in Indonesia. This plant is very easy to grow and develops into many especially in tropical climates, so the bamboo is mostly grown on the river banks. Bamboo utilization is one form of an abundance of bamboo influences. Bamboo is widely used for the needs of making household and various kinds of crafts as well as wicker. This webbing is sold as a source for the makers’ income. Gintangan is a village located in Banyuwangi whose majority of people have the expertise of making wicker. Manufacture of webbing that requires thin bamboo sheets as raw material woven. Development of a bamboo ambush machine is needed to assist the partner in Gintangan Village as a tool to accelerate the process of making bamboo slices thin so that the manufacturing process becomes faster at the partner in Sanggar Kerajinan Bambu Karya Nyata. This bamboo-absorbing tool was developed to accelerate the process without having to do manual bamboo watering which is very time-consuming. The presence of these machines can increase the production of webbing rapidly and can increase the profit of partners because it reduces the cost for employees of the bamboo shredder.
