Abstract

Rendahnya tingkat literasi di wilayah pedesaan, termasuk di Kabupaten Enrekang, menjadi tantangan yang mempengaruhi kualitas hidup masyarakat, terutama dalam hal akses informasi, pengambilan keputusan, dan pemberdayaan ekonomi. Pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan kesadaran dan kemampuan literasi masyarakat Desa Karrang melalui kegiatan seminar literasi yang melibatkan warga, tokoh masyarakat, dan perangkat desa. Mitra dalam kegiatan ini adalah Kulibuku Maspul, sebuah komunitas baca yang ada di Kabupaten Enrekang. Metode yang digunakan meliputi ceramah interaktif, dan diskusi kelompok. Kegiatan ini dilaksanakan Desa Karrang Kecamatan Cendana Kabupaten Enrekang dengan partisipasi aktif dari berbagai lapisan masyarakat. Hasil pengabdian menunjukkan peningkatan pemahaman peserta tentang pentingnya literasi dalam kehidupan sehari-hari, serta adanya komitmen bersama untuk mengembangkan ruang-ruang literasi desa, seperti taman baca dan kelompok belajar. Kegiatan ini juga memantik inisiatif warga untuk membentuk komunitas literasi berbasis lokal. Temuan ini menunjukkan bahwa pendekatan partisipatif dalam edukasi literasi mampu meningkatkan kesadaran kritis masyarakat desa. Hasil pengabdian ini penting sebagai model pemberdayaan berbasis literasi yang dapat direplikasi di desa-desa lain guna mempercepat pembangunan sosial dan budaya masyarakat pedesaan.

Abstract

AbstractThis study aims to analyze the utilization of thesis reference collections at the University of Muhammadiyah Enrekang Library as one of the main resources supporting students' academic activities. The background of this research is based on the importance of reference collections as a medium for independent learning, although their usage has not been fully optimized. This research is important for identifying the factors that influence the utilization of thesis reference collections and providing strategic recommendations to enhance the effectiveness of these collections. The method used in this study is descriptive qualitative, with data collection techniques through in-depth interviews, observations, and document analysis. The informants in this study will include students and librarians. The data obtained will be analyzed using a thematic approach, which includes coding, categorization, and drawing conclusions.Keywords: reference collections; thesis; information literacy  AbstrakPenelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pemanfaatan koleksi referensi skripsi di Perpustakaan Universitas Muhammadiyah Enrekang sebagai salah satu sumber utama dalam mendukung kegiatan akademik mahasiswa. Latar belakang penelitian ini didasarkan pada pentingnya koleksi referensi sebagai media pembelajaran mandiri, namun penggunaannya belum sepenuhnya optimal. Penelitian ini penting guna mengidentifikasi faktor-faktor yang mempengaruhi pemanfaatan koleksi referensi skripsi dan memberikan rekomendasi strategis guna meningkatkan daya guna koleksi tersebut. Metode yang akan digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah deskriptif kualitatif, dengan teknik pengumpulan data melalui wawancara mendalam, observasi, dan analisis dokumen. Informan yang akan digunakan dalam penelitian ini terdiri dari mahasiswa, dan pustakawan. Data yang diperoleh akan dianalisis menggunakan pendekatan tematik, yang meliputi pengkodean, kategorisasi, dan penarikan kesimpulan. Kata Kunci: koleksi referensi; skrispi; literasi informasi

Abstract

In realizing a library that is appropriate to its function and roles, the library requires management that is suitable to the national library standards in managing library. The purpose of this study is to describe the library management strategy at SD Inpress Baruppu, Pinrang Regency. This research is a qualitative descriptive study. The data was gathered from the library manager and the principal. Data collection procedures use observation techniques, structured interviews, and documentation. Data analysis consists of data reduction, data display and verification. The findings showed that the library manager at this school had compiled a daily work program, short-term, medium-term, and long-term. To carry out all these work programs, the principal forms the organizational structure of the library manager as the authority of daily activities along with the description of the duties of each part or work function contained therein. The principal conducts an evaluation with the aim of knowing the work achievements of various predetermined programs that will be used as input for improving the library organization in the following academic years. Abstrak Dalam mewujudkan perpustakaan yang sesuai dengan fungsi dan perannya, perpustakaan memerlukan suatu manajemen yang sesuai dengan standar nasional perpustakaan dalam mengelola perpustakaan. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mendeskripsikan strategi pengelolaan perpustakaan di SD Inpres Baruppu Kabupaten Pinrang. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian deskriptif kualitatif. Sebagai sumber informasi dalam penelitian ini adalah kepala sekolah dan pengelola perpustakaan. Pengumpulan data menggunakan teknik observasi, wawancara terstruktur dan dokumentasi. Analisis data terdiri dari reduksi data, display data dan verifikasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pengelola perpustakaan di sekolah ini telah menyusun program kerja harian, jangka pendek, jangka menengah dan jangka panjang. Untuk melaksanakan semua program kerja tersebut, kepala sekolah membentuk struktur organisasi pengelola perpustakaan sebagai pelaksana kegiatan sehari-hari beserta uraian tugas masing-masing bagian/fungsi kerja yang terkandung didalamnya. Kepala sekolah melakukan evaluasi dengan tujuan untuk mengetahui capaian kerja berbagai program yang telah ditentukan yang akan dijadikan masukan untuk perbaikan organisasi perpustakaan pada tahun-tahun akademik berikutnya.

Abstract

Communicating means humans are trying to achieve common meaning and humans are trying to share information, ideas, or attitudes with other participants. If there is no similarity of meaning between the communicator and the communicant, that is, the communicant does not understand the message he receives, then communication does not occur or is not communicative. Communication is one aspect that is always needed by every human being. This proves that communicating is important in every stage of life. Communication is also needed by elderly parents or the elderly. Their need to communicate to others can also be distinguished between each other. This research uses a qualitative method because the source of the data is not a human being but a document. This research 'includes a type of library research', while the data collection uses documentation techniques. The 'data analysis used is content analysis. The results showed that the elderly person (elderly) is someone whose approach differs between one elderly person and another elderly person, so that in communicating with them also requires different communication patterns in order for similar meanings to occur so as to create effective communication.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to describe the integration of ethnomathematics in the culture of the Mandar tribal community in Polewali Mandar Regency and Majene Regency in elementary mathematics teaching material supplements. This qualitative research uses research with an ethnographic approach. The ethnomathematics obtained relates to elementary mathematics materials, among others, namely, Addition and Subtraction of numerical numbers up to 99, Simple Flat Buildings and Simple Spaces, Simple Fractions, Length of Time of an Event (unit of time), Multiples of a Number and Multiples of Communal Numbers, Folding Symmetry and Rotary Symmetry, Nonstandard Measurements (units of length, units of content, units of weight), Perimeter of Flat Buildings (Square, Long Square, and Triangle), Presentation of Data, Position of Objects Against the Wind.

Abstract

This research aims to investigate teachers' understanding of the use of artificial intelligence (AI) in an effort to increase the literacy of elementary school (SD) students in Enrekang Regency. Literacy is an important aspect of education that influences students' ability to read, write and understand information. The use of AI in educational contexts has become a topic that is receiving increasing attention, but teachers' understanding of the use of this technology to improve student literacy still needs further research. The research method used is qualitative with a phenomenological approach. Data was collected through in-depth interviews with elementary school teachers in Enrekang Regency. Data analysis was carried out thematically to identify patterns and main findings. Research findings show that the majority of teachers have a basic understanding of artificial intelligence and its potential to improve student literacy. However, there are also some teachers who still feel unsure or have uncertainty regarding the use of AI in an educational context. Factors such as technical readiness, institutional support, and teachers' perceptions of AI effectiveness influence teachers' level of understanding and acceptance of this technology. The results of this research can be the basis for developing training and learning programs oriented towards the use of AI to increase student literacy at Enrekang Regency Elementary School. Efforts to improve teachers' understanding and skills in integrating AI technology in learning can have a positive impact in improving the quality of education at the elementary level.
