Abstract

One of the challenging thing for a job seeker during job interview is the lack of ability in answering the interview questions in English. This is caused not only because the poor English competence but also the poor knwolegde of the common job interview questions during recruitment process. The problem identified in this Community Service Program is the insufficient fund for training program of Balikpapan government, compare to the numbers of the job seeker. Therefore, cooperation with other party such as University to support any types of training program become one of the program that should always be conducted. The next problem identified is related to the lack of coomunication skills among job seeker in Balikpapan which in turn limit their opportunity in securing job especially during interview process that is conducted in English. The problem solving method is conducted in four stages, first is preparation, problem formulation, the training implementation and program evaluation. The result shows that the job seekers feel more confident in facing job interview in English after joining the program, they also expect that the similar program shall be conducted again with a longer duration.

Abstract

Abstract:The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of: (1) motivational effect on jobsatisfaction of employees (2) effects of organizational justice on job satisfaction of employees,(3) the effect of emotional intelligence on job satisfaction of employees (4) motivational effecton employee performance (5) justice organizational influence on the performance ofemployees, (6) emotional intelligence influence on employee performance, job satisfactionaffects the performance of employees (7) job satisfaction mediates the influence of motivation,organizational justice and emotional intelligence on the performance of employees at theRegional Office of PT. Bank Rakyat Indonesia (Persero) Tbk. Banda Aceh. As for the object ofthis study is motivation, emotional intelligence, organizational justice, job satisfaction andemployee performance. The results showed that motivation did not affect the mediatingvariables job satisfaction, but positive and significant effect on employee performance,organizational justice significantly influence the mediating variables job satisfaction, but doesnot affect the variable employee performance, emotional intelligence significantly influencethe mediating variables job satisfaction and also there is an influence on employeeperformance and job satisfaction as a mediating variable effect between exogenous variables(motivation, organizational justice, and emotional intelligence) against endogenous variable(performance of employees).Keywords Work Motivation, Emotional Intelligence, Organizational Justice, Job Satisfactionand Employee PerformanceAbstrak: Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui pengaruh: (1) motivasi berpengaruh terhadapkepuasan kerja karyawan (2) pengaruh keadilan organisasi terhadap kepuasan kerja karyawan, (3)pengaruh kecerdasan emosional terhadap kepuasan kerja karyawan (4) motivasi berpengaruh terhadapkinerja karyawan (5) keadilan organisasi berpengaruh terhadap kinerja karyawan, (6) kecerdasanemosional berpengaruh terhadap kinerja karyawan, kepuasan kerja berpengaruh terhadap kinerjakaryawan (7) kepuasan kerja memediasi pengaruh motivasi, keadilan organisasi dan kecerdasanemosional terhadap kinerja karyawan pada Kanwil PT. Adapun yang menjadi objek penelitian ini adalah motivasi, kecerdasan emosional, keadilanorganisasi, kepuasan kerja dan kinerja karyawan.Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa motivasi tidakberpengaruh terhadap variabel mediasi kepuasan kerja, tetapi berpengaruh positif dan signifikanterhadap kinerja karyawan, keadilan organisasi berpengaruh signifikan terhadap variabel mediasikepuasan kerja, tetapi tidak berpengaruh terhadap variabel kinerja karyawan, kecerdasan emosionalberpengaruh signifikan terhadap variabel mediasi kepuasan kerja dan juga terdapat pengaruh terhadapkinerja karyawan dan kepuasan kerja berpengaruh sebagai variabel mediasi antara variabel eksogen(motivasi, keadilan organisasi, dan kecerdasan emosional) terhadap variabel endogen (kinerjakaryawan).Kata kunci : Motivasi Kerja, Kecerdasan Emosional, Keadilan Organisasi, Kepuasan KerjadanKinerja Karyawan

Abstract

AbstractThe purpose of this study is to know: (1) the competence, motivation and internal environment of entrepreneurial interest in Aceh and the performance of import export employers association in Aceh is good (2) competence to entrepreneurship interest, (3) influence of motivation to entrepreneurship interest (5) the influence of the internal environment on the performance of the Association and (8) the influence of entrepreneur interest on the performance of the Association, (9) analyzing the magnitude of Indirect influence of competence, motivation and internal environment on the performance of import export business associations in Aceh through entrepreneurial interest. This research was conducted in Aceh Province. As for the object of this research is the competence, motivation and internal environment of entrepreneurship interest and performance of export import business association in Aceh Province. The result of the research shows that the competence, work motivation, internal environment, entrepreneurship interest and performance of the Association of Export Importers of Aceh have been running well. The research also proves that the competence, work motivation and internal environment have positive and significant impact on entrepreneurship interest. Then the competence, work motivation and internal environment also have a positive and significant impact on the performance of the Association of Export Importers of Aceh. The research also proves that entrepreneurship interests have a positive and significant impact on the performance of the Association of Export Importers of Aceh and there is indirect influence of competence, work motivation and internal environment on the performance of the Association of Export Importers of Aceh through interest in entrepreneurship.Keywords:  Competence, Work Motivation, Internal Environment, Interest in Entrepreneurship and Association PerformanceAbstrak: Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui: (1) kompetensi, motivasi dan lingkungan internal terhadap minat wirausaha di Aceh dan kinerja asosiasi pengusaha ekspor impor di Aceh apakah sudah berjalan baik (2) kompetensi terhadap minat berwirausaha, (3) pengaruh motivasi terhadap minat berwirausaha (4) pengaruh lingkungan internal terhadap minat berwirausaha (5) pengaruh kompetensi terhadap kinerja Asosiasi, (6) pengaruh motivasi terhadap kinerja Asosiasi (7) pengaruh lingkungan internal terhadap kinerja Asosiasi dan (8) pengaruh minat berwirausaha terhadap kinerja Asosiasi, (9) menganalisis besarnya pengaruh tidak langsung kompetensi, motivasi dan lingkungan internal terhadap kinerja asosiasi pengusaha ekspor impor di Aceh melalui minat wirausaha. Penelitian ini dilakukan di Provinsi Aceh. Adapun yang menjadi objek penelitian ini adalah kompetensi, motivasi dan lingkungan internal terhadap minat berwirausaha serta kinerja asosiasi pengusaha ekspor impor di Propinsi Aceh.Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kompetensi, motivasi kerja, lingkungan internal, minat berwirausaha dan kinerja Asosiasi Pengusaha Ekspor Impor Aceh  sudah berjalan dengan baik, Hasil penelitian juga membuktikan bahwa kompetensi, motivasi kerja dan lingkungan internal berpengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap minat berwirausaha. Kemudian kompetensi, motivasi kerja dan lingkungan internal juga berpengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap kinerja Asosiasi Pengusaha Ekspor Impor Aceh. Hasil penelitian juga membuktikan bahwa Minat berwirausaha berpengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap kinerja Asosiasi Pengusaha Ekspor Impor Aceh serta terdapat pengaruh tidak langsung kompetensi, motivasi kerja dan lingkungan internal terhadap kinerja Asosiasi Pengusaha Ekspor Impor Aceh melalui minat berwirausahanya.Kata kunci : Kompetensi, Motivasi Kerja, Lingkungan Internal, Minat Berwirausahadan Kinerja Asosiasi.

Abstract

Abstract:The organizational part that becomes the determining factor for achieving the expected goal is human resources, where human resources are expected to be part of the organization that can enhance and create an organization's competitive value. Management Board of Sabang Free Trade and Free Port (BPKS) in a real and synergic way, the employee as the worker performing the duties and functions must have the responsibility and ability to work well and structured so as to achieve the company goal. Population in this research is employees of Central Business Entity Sabang Free Trade and Free Port (BPKS) which is 135 people and sampling is done by census technique. Proof of Hypothesis is done by using indicator of CR and P value. Because of the 8 verifikatif hypotheses tested in this study have CR value above 1.96 or P value smaller than 0.05, then all hypotheses tested reject Ho and receive H1. In other words the independent and intervening variables have the effect to increase the dependent variable along the independent variable and the intervening can be improved by the manager of BPKS Sabang office ..Keywords: Working Culture, Ability, Employee Commitment, Job Satisfaction, Performance of  Management of Sabang Free Trade and Free Port  (BPKS)Abstrak:Bagian organisasi yang menjadi faktor penentu untuk tercapainya tujuan yang diharapkan adalah sumber daya manusia, dimana sumber daya manusia diharapkan bisa menjadi bagian dari organisasi yang dapat meningkatkan dan menciptakan nilai kompetitif organisasi. Badan Pengusahaan Kawasan Perdagangan Bebas dan Pelabuhan Bebas Sabang (BPKS) secara nyata dan bersinergi, pegawai selaku pekerja yang melaksanakan tugas dan fungsi tersebut harus memiliki tanggung jawab dan kemampuan bekerja yang baik dan terstruktur sehingga dapat mencapai tujuan perusahaan. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah pegawai Badan Pengusahaan Kawasan Perdagangan Bebas dan Pelabuhan Bebas Sabang (BPKS) Pusat yaitu sebanyak 135 orang dan pengambilan sampel dilakukan dengan teknik sensus. Pembuktian Hipotesis dilakukan dengan menggunakan indikator nilai CR dan P. Karena dari 8 hipotesis verifikatif yang diuji dalam penelitian ini memilik nilai CR diatas 1,96 atau nilai P lebih kecil dari 0,05, maka semua hipotesis yang diuji menolak Ho dan menerima H1. Dengan kata lain variabel independen dan intervening memiliki pengaruh untuk meningkatkan variabel dependent sepanjang variabel independent dan intervening dapat ditingkatkan oleh pengelola kantor BPKS Sabang..Kata Kunci: Budaya Kerja, Kemampuan, Komitmen Karyawan, Kepuasan Kerja, Kinerja  Badan Pengusahaan Kawasan Perdagangan Bebas dan Pelabuhan Bebas Sabang (BPKS).

Abstract

Abstract: Banda Aceh Mayor Office is a local government service provider to all people of Banda Aceh City. Banda Aceh Mayor Office commits to improve the management of public services, including by improving the work ethic of employees so as to increase the capacity of employees and affect career development. The purpose of this study is to determine the effect of teamwork, work environment, and leadership style on work ethic and its impact on career development of Banda Aceh Mayor Office. Sample size in this study was 137 employees. Questionnaires were used to collect data. The data was then analyzed using SEM with the help of AMOS 22.0 program. The results show that teamwork, work environment, and leadership style have significant effect on work ethic and career development of Banda Aceh Mayor Office. Other results show that teamwork, work environment, and leadership style have a significant effect on career development of Banda Aceh Mayor Office through work ethic.Keywords: teamwork, work environment, leadership style, work ethic, career development.Abstrak: Kantor Walikota Banda Aceh merupakan penyelenggara layanan pemerintah daerah kepada seluruh masyarakat Kota Banda Aceh. Kantor Walikota Banda Aceh berkomitmen untuk meningkatkan manajemen pelayanan publik, termasuk dengan memperbaiki etos kerja para pegawai sehingga bisa meningkatkan kapasitas pegawai dan berpengaruh pada pengembangan karir. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui pengaruh kerjasama tim, lingkungan kerja dan gaya kepemimpinan terhadap etos kerja dan dampaknya terhadap pengembangan karir pegawai Kantor Walikota Banda Aceh. Jumlah sampel dalam penelitian ini adalah 137 pegawai. Pengumpulan data menggunakan metode kuesioner dan dianalisis menggunakan SEM dengan bantuan program AMOS 22.0. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kerjasama tim, lingkungan kerja dan gaya kepemimpinan berpengaruh signifikan terhadap etos kerja dan pengembangan karir pegawai Kantor Walikota Banda Aceh.Hasil lain menunjukkan bahwa kerjasama tim, lingkungan kerja dan gaya kepemimpinan berpengaruh signifikan terhadap pengembangan karir pegawai Kantor Walikota Banda Aceh melalui etos kerja.Kata Kunci: kerjasama tim, lingkungan kerja, gaya kepemimpinan, etos kerja, pengembangan karir.

Abstract

This study aims to measure the effect of shopping enjoyment on impulse buying and product browsing as a mediation at consumer of Shopeee among college students of Unsyiah in Banda Aceh City. The sample used in this study is college students of Unsyiah in Banda Aceh City is totalling 270 respondents. Data collection equipment used in this study was a questionnaire. The sampling technique used is simple random sampling. Hierarchical Linear Modelling (HLM) was used as a method of analysis to determine the effect of all the variables involved. Based on the results of the HLM analysis indicated that shopping enjoyment was related to impulse buying, shopping enjoyment significantly influence product browsing, product browsing was related to impulse buying, product browsing partially mediated the relationship between shopping enjoyment and impulse buying.

Abstract

Abstract

This research aims to find the use of code-switching to show empathy. There are two objectives of this research; 1) to identify the types of code-switching used in Breakout Music Program on NET TV and 2) to describe how code-switching shows empathy in Breakout Music Program on NET TV. The theories used in this study are; the types of code-switching by Romaine to answer the research question number one, and the reason to do code-switching by Hoffman to answer the research question number two. Based on the result of this research, the researcher found that all types of code-switching proposed by Romaine are found in Breakout music program. Furthermore, all seven reasons in using code-switching are also found in Breakout music program, however the most dominant reason for doing code-switching is to show empathy and the least dominant reason is to quote somebody else.

Abstract

This research explores two objectives; 1) to identify the types of address terms found in Deadpool Max volume 1 comic. 2) to describe the taboo words used as mockery terms in Deadpool Max volume 1 comic. The theory used in this research is the sociolinguistics analysis using Wardhaugh’s theory. The methodology employed is qualitative research in which the researcher tried to present the issues descriptively. The data were in the form of utterances, while the dialogue uttered from Deadpool Max volume 1 comic was the primary data source. Then various journal, books and internet to support the data analysis were the secondary data source. The results of this research are stated as follows. Firstly, seven types of address terms are found in the comic. 78 total data appear, there are, First Name (FN), Title Alone (T), Title plus Last Name (TLN), Special Nick Name (SN), Pet Name (PN), Kinship Terms (KT), and Mockery Terms (MT). Secondly, the taboo words used as mockery terms are found, and there are 2 reasons of using taboo words; to show anger and to mock.

Abstract

This journal investigated the feature of female language in the Novel entitled Love Rosie. There are two objectives of this research; 1) to identify the type of feature female language used by the main character in the novel Love Rosie and 2) to describe which female language feature supports the communication style. The type of research was qualitative descriptive because the data were analyzed and described in the form of words and sentences. The data were taken from the conversations that is uttered by the main character of Love Rosie the novel. The conversation in the novel was taken out as the primary data. The theory used in this research is the sociolinguistics analysis using Robin Lakoff's theory of female language feature and supported by Deborah Tannen's theory of communication styles in women's conversation. The result of the research, the researcher found that the features of female language found in the novel Love Rosie there are eight types, super polite forms, tag questions, empty adjectives, logical hedges, strong avoidance of words, price color terms, intensifiers, and emphatic stress. The female language feature that is the most widely used main character supports the communication style that tends to use indirect communication styles.
