Abstract

The need for clean water to support human activities continues to increase due to an increasing in population and irrigation needs. Dams and small dam can be an alternative for water management to correct water in the rainy season and being in the dry season. The purpose of Grojogan’s small dam construction is for irrigation of paddy fields in Plandaan sub-district. The greater the water corrected from small dam, the greater its contribution to the profitability of the agricultural system so as to know the magnitude of the carrying capacity of the small dam on the agricultural cropping pattern in the irrigation area. The purpose of this research is to know the magnitude of bearing capacity of small dam on agricultural cropping pattern both economically, socially, and environment. The method used is descriptive analytics. Data are collectied by interview, observation and documentation study. In this research of initial feasibility studies, water balance, and economic analysis. The result of the research shows that the water balance in Grojogan’s small dam is positive, meaning that the water debit that can be accommodated in the small dam is able to supply the irrigation water requirement for 86 Ha, land. The result of economic analysis with usage age for 10-year small dam found the benefit-cost ratio (B / C) ratio = 3.096, while the benefit difference is Rp. 9.858.913.731,21, and the internal rate of return is 36.35%. In the calculation of sensitivity analysis it is found that with the change of values ​​up to 20%, the project is still safe under the value fluctuations.

Abstract

ABSTRAK : Dengan melihat kondisi uji model Bendungan Riam Kiwa yang dilakukan sebelumnya, kondisi aliran pada saluran pengarah hilir dalam kondisi aliran subkritis namun dengan nilai bilangan froude ≈ 0,9 - 1 dan hal ini kurang dianjurkan secara keamanan hidraulis. Maka perlu dilakukan penelitian uji model perencanaan alternatif desain lain yang pada penelitian ini dengan menggunakan desain baffled chute pada saluran peluncur. Uji model fisik baffled chute Bendungan Riam Kiwa ini dilakukan dalam 2 kondisi yakni dengan tinggi baffled chute 3 meter dan 2 meter, yang dikombinasikan dengan peredam energi USBR tipe II dan I pada peredam energi akhir. Penelitian uji model fisik baffled chute Bendungan Riam Kiwa menggunakan model dengan skala 1:65 dan dilakukan dengan 5 seri percobaan. Hasil penelitian akan terfokus pada kondisi tinggi muka air dan besarnya kecepatan aliran dan akan dilakukan perbandingan pada tiap seri. Diketahui bahwa pada setiap seri percobaan kondisi kecepatan aliran telah berkurang dibandingkan model seri original design.   Kata kunci: Uji model fisik, baffled chute, peredam energi, efektifitas, dan trayektori aliran   ABSRACT : By looking at the condition of the model test Riam Kiwa Dam before, the flow conditions in the escape channel was in the sub-kritical flow conditions but with a value of froude number ≈ 0,9 – 1 and it is less recommended in the security of hidraulic. Then the research needs to be done to test another alternative planning model design at this time using design of baffled chute on the chute channels. The model test of baffled chute Riam Kiwa Dam is done in two conditions: with a height of 3 meters and 2 meters of baffled chute and combined with the USBR energy dissipator type II and I in the final stilling basin. The model test research of baffled chute on Riam Kiwa Dam using models with scale 1:65 and done with 5 experimental series. The research results will be focused on the condition of high water level and the velocity of the flow and also would do a comparison from each series. It is known that each series of experimental, the condition of the flow rate has been reduced compared to the original design series models. Abstract

Land use changing in Sumenep city in recent years has caused runoff in several locations. Therefore, rehabilitations of existing channel to suit the surface runoff are needed. This paper presents capacity determination of existing drainage channels subjected to rainfall with 5-year flood discharge plan and consideration of sea tides effect to Marengan River which crossed Sumenep city. The proposed flood control methods in Sumenep city area was also discussed. The catchment of specified rural area was modelled using SWMM instrument to compare channel conditions before and after rehabilitation. Channel size and height of water level in channel due to rainfall together with the effect of backwater occurred in Marengan River caused by the sea tides was observed during the time. From the analysis, it was found that most of existing secondary drainage channels are uncapable to accommodate rainfall with 5-year flood discharge plan. From the available eight secondary drainage channels outlets, the last three outlets were subjected to reverse flows effect in Marengan River due to sea tides. In order to reduce the occurance of surface runoff inundation, secondary drainage channel rehabilitation was planned at each outlet, and these proven capable to accommodate rainwater runoff and reverse flow as well

Abstract

Flood and inundation had become a serious problem in Sidoarjo Regency annually. This study aimed to apply integrated urban drainage management for flood inundation controlling at Sidokare Region in Sidoarjo Regency. This integrated drainage management consisted of retarding pond, drainage channel redesign, and pump utilization. The study region was divided into Sidokare Pump station, Sepande, and Diponegoro Street catchment area. Rainfall intensity during historical floods was analysed using Mononobe formula and Log Pearson Type III method was used to analyze design rainfall. From the result of the analysis, it wasfoundthat thehistoricalfloodsinstudyregioncausedbyrainfall withreturnperiodof1.01 years, with rainfall intensity of 17.55 mm/hour. It was also found that by implementing this integratedurbandrainagemanagementatSidokareRegion,floodcouldbereducedupto100%. ForSidokarePumpStationcatchmentarea,theinundationmanagementwasconductedbyusing combination of storage pool, existing drainage channel, and the existing flood pump. For Sepandecatchmentarea,itwasmanagedtousethecombinationofstoragepoolandtheexisting drainage channel. Meanwhile, Diponegoro Street catchment area was solved by utilizing new flood pump combining with new tertiary channel and existing drainagechannel.

Abstract

Placing the geomembrane layer on the upstream slope can control the seepage in homogeneous dams. Poor geomembrane design, construction and maintenance caused damage to the geomembrane that caused a leak through the dam body. This study discusses the effect of damage on the geomembrane layer at the homogeneous embankment dam on the seepage pattern and discharge. The study location is in the Sianjo Anjo dam, Aceh Singkil district, a homogeneous dam with a geomembrane layer located in the dam body's upstream part. The damage of the geomembrane layer is assumed caused by the various defect of locations and size. The results show that the seepage pattern (phreatic line) tends to be weak in the geomembrane layer without damage.  Meanwhile, if the geomembrane layer is damaged, the larger the defects' width, the higher the phreatic line. However, the seepage pattern that occurs shows insignificant or almost the same. The seepage discharge increases with increasing defect width and decreasing defect location.

Abstract

Penggunaan material beton semakin meningkat karena memiliki sifat yang kuat, ketahananyang tinggi, mudah dibentuk, relatif murah dan mudah didapatkan. Namun umum terjadifenomena keretakan pada penggunaan beton yang dapat mengakibatkan mudah masuknyapartikel korosif yang akan merusak struktur dalam beton. Oleh karena itu, salah satualternatif untuk mengurangi retakan yang terjadi dilakukan dengan upaya peningkatan kuattekan mortar yang merupakan unsur penyusun beton menggunakan bakteri sebagai agenbiologis yang ramah lingkungan. Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan melakukan pengujiankarakteristik material pasir, kuat tekan dan modulus elastisitas mortar menggunakan isolatbakteri Micrococcus luteus strain S17 dan isolat R20. Hasil Pengujian diolah menggunakangrafik hubungan kuat tekan mortar dengan jumlah densitas sel bakteri (105, 106, dan 107sel/mL) terhadap kuat tekan mortar kontrol pada usia 7,14 dan 28 hari. Hasil dari penelitianmenunjukkan bahwa mortar dengan menggunakan bakteri pengendap CaCO3 dapatmemberikan pengaruh peningkatan kuat tekan mortar. Mortar bakteri yang memberikan efekpeningkatan kuat tekan lebih baik adalah bakteri R20 dengan densitas sel 105 sel/mL padausia 28 hari yakni sebesar 13% dengan kuat tekan sebesar 33,47 Mpa dibandingkan denganmortar kontrol sebesar 29,6 Mpa dan mortar bakteri S17 sebesar 31,4 Mpa. Penggunaan duajenis isolat bakteri memiliki pengaruh dan karakteristik yang berbeda pada kuat tekan mortardilihat dari perbandingan variasi konsentrasi dan usia mortar terhadap kontrol.Kata kunci: Mortar, Kuat Tekan, Bakteri Pengendap CaCO3, Modulus Elastisitas

Abstract

Studi ini membahas tentang analisis respon dinamik perilaku gempa pada jembatan rangka pelengkung sebagai akibat dari pengaruh pergerakan tanah dan patahan. Data gempa didapat dari integral waktu gelombang respon percepatan gempa Jiji Taiwan pada tahun 1999 yang kemudian diaplikasikan kepada struktur jembatan rangka pelengkung untuk diteliti perilaku responsnya.Analisis respons dinamik dibuat menggunakan gerakan tanah pada saat gempa pada arah transversal dan longitudinal, bersamaan dengan pergerakan patahan pada arah vertical dan transversal, untuk meneliti perilaku gempa dari model jembatan baja pelengkung yang digunakan. Model analitis dengan sejarah waktu (time history) disimulasikan menggunakan model 3D dengan program ABAQUS.Berdasarkan hasil analisis, perilaku respons dari kedua kasus pada arah transversal dan longitudinal akibat akselerasi menunjukkan bentuk respons yang sedikit berbeda. Selain, itu juga ditemukan bahwa elemen struktur yang mengalami plastis berkumpul pertemuan antara rangka utama jembatan pelengkung dan girder pengakunya.Kata kunci: perilaku gempa, pergerakan tanah, pergerakan patahan (inland fault displacement), jembatan pelengkung rangka batang.

Abstract

The construction of Rongkong Multipurpose Dam located in North Luwu Regency, South Sulawesi aims to provide irrigation water, water supply, and increase electricity production capacity through hydropower with 6 construction sites under consideration. Economic feasibility analysis was carried out to obtain construction sites that have the best economic feasibility objectively. In this analysis, the parameters of Net Present Value (NPV), Internal Rate of Return (IRR), Payback Period (PP), and Benefit-Cost Ratio (BCR) were calculated by considering the reservoir storage capacity in each sites. The result from this analysis shows that Site Tandung 2 is the location that has the best economic feasibility with reservoir capacity of 23,400 million m3 and Benefit- Cost Ratio (BCR) of 2.490.

Abstract

Bendungan Cijurey merupakan bendungan tipe beton gravitasi atau tipe RCC dengan material beton yang memiliki nilai permeabilitas rendah. Secara struktur, tipe RCC memiliki lift joint yang rawan dilalui oleh air sehingga dapat menyebabkan rembesan. Bendungan ini terletak pada lapisan tanah yang mendominasi yaitu batulempung dan batupasir, dimana memiliki nilai permeabilitas yang berbeda dengan daya dukung yang rendah, selain itu debit rembesan yang terjadi akan memiliki pola yang berbeda. Analisa rembesan dan piping menggunakan bantuan software Geostudio SEEP/W. Hasil analisa debit rembesan yang terjadi untuk kondisi normal (El. +286 m) yaitu 0,00196 m3 /dt dan untuk kondisi banjir 0,002 m3/dt dan untuk kondisi banjir (El. +288,28 m) yaitu 0,00076 m 3 /dt. Nilai faktor keamanan terhadap piping yaitu untuk kondisi normal (El. +286 m) yaitu 10,75 > 4 dan untuk kondisi muka air banjir (El. +288,28 m) yaitu 10,33 > 4, dapat dikatakan bendungan aman terhadap terjadinya piping.

Abstract

Perubahan alih fungsi lahan dari lahan hijau menjadi lahan pemukiman pada menyebabkan terjadinya limpasan permukaan di beberapa lokasi di Kota Sumenep. Kondisi eksisting saluran membutuhkan perubahan dimensi yang mampu menyalurkan limpasan yang terjadi. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui kapasitas saluran drainase yang ada (eksisting) terhadap curah hujan dengan debit rencana kala ulang 5 tahun dan menentukan pengendalian banjir yang dapat dilakukan di Kota Sumenep. Pemodelan dengan SWMM membandingkan kondisi jaringan drainase sebelum dan sesudah penerapan rehabilitasi saluran. Pada perhitungan kalibrasi model diperoleh nilai RMSE sebesar 0,139. Nilai tersebut menunjukkan bahwa nilai parameter yang digunakan dalam pemodelan mendekati variasi nilai observasi. Dari hasil perhitungan diperoleh kapasitas outlet 1 = 3,53 m3/dt; outlet 2 = 2,75 m3/dt; outlet 3 = 2,52 m3/dt; outlet 4 = 1,21 m3/dt; outlet 5 = 4,65 m3/dt; outlet 6 = 6,20 m3/dt; outlet 7 = 1,47 m3/dt; outlet 8 = 0,60 m3/dt; outlet 9 = 4,49 m3/dt. Jaringan drainase sekunder outlet 3 dan 7 mampu menampung limpasan curah hujan, sedangkan untuk jaringan drainase sekunder outlet 1, 2, 4, 5, 6 dan 8 tidak mampu menampung curah hujan dengan debit rencana kala ulang 5 tahun. Untuk mengurangi genangan tersebut, dibutuhkan rencana rehabilitasi saluran drainase sekunder pada masing-masing outlet dan alternatif pengalihan debit limpasan. Berdasarkan perbandingan antara tinggi muka air Sungai Marengan dan outlet saluran, outlet 4, 5, dan 6 mengalami arus balik (backwater) dari Sungai Marengan. Dimensi saluran baru yang telah direncanakan tidak hanya mampu menampung limpasan air hujan, tapi juga mampu menampung limpasan debit akibat dari pengaruh arus balik.
