Abstract

Purpose of the study: This study investigates the influence of democratic leadership style and quality of work life (QWL) on teacher performance in junior high schools. Methodology: The research was conducted using a quantitative approach with a causal-associative design, involving 65 teachers from two schools in Tempuran Subdistrict, Karawang. Data were collected through validated and reliable questionnaires and analyzed using multiple regression. Main Findings: The findings reveal that both democratic leadership style and QWL have a positive and significant effect on teacher performance, both partially and simultaneously, with a combined contribution of 52.4%. These results underscore the importance of participatory leadership practices and teacher well-being in enhancing professionalism and productivity within educational settings. Novelty/Originality of this Study: The novelty of this research lies in its integration of leadership and QWL into a single analytical model, whereas most prior studies examined these variables independently. By situating the study within the context of regional public schools, it offers new perspectives on educational management in environments that often face resource and welfare challenges. The implications are substantial for school principals and policymakers, as the findings highlight the need to strengthen human-centered leadership practices and establish supportive work conditions that foster job satisfaction, recognition, and commitment, ultimately improving student learning outcomes.

Abstract

The purpose of Classroom Action Research (CAR) using audio-visual media for this learning is to increase the activity and learning outcomes of PAI (Islamic Religious Education) about the End of Days for Class IX students of SMP. The time of the study was in November 2019. The subjects of this study were Class IXB students in Semester 1 of the 2019/2020 academic year which consisted of 35 children. The data in this study are learning activities and learning outcomes. Data collection tools using observation sheets and written tests. The research procedure uses a Cycle Model which consists of 4 stages, namely Planning, Action, Observation, and Reflection. The results of this study are (1) learning becomes concrete and interesting; (2) students learn actively and effectively by listening, seeing, analyzing, taking notes, doing individual assignments, asking questions and giving opinions; and (3) students achieving better learning outcomes by increasing average scores and completeness. In the initial conditions, learning completeness is only 28.6%. in this cycle the completeness reached 83.9%. The suggestion is that the teacher: (1) give individual assignments to students to answer questions in writing after watching the film so that students are not only interested in the appearance of the film, but actually observe and analyze the content of the film; (2) paying attention to the content of the film, taking notes and asking questions, so that mastery of the material is increasing; and (3) optimizing the function of the audio-visual room and the completeness of the facilities available as interesting and effective learning media, so that learning is more meaningful.

Abstract

Pesantren, as the beginning of the original Indonesian educational institution, was only officially recognized legally in 2003 through the National Education System Law Number 20 of 2003. Education in pesantren which initially only focused on mastering religious knowledge, has now begun to integrate general subjects. The inclusion of these subjects aims to broaden the horizons and thoughts of students, often also accompanied by participation in state examinations held by the government. Therefore, it is very appropriate if the pesantren continue to strive to make various improvements and improve the quality and quality of education in pesantren. This study was conducted to evaluate the educational standards applied at Al-Muslih Institute, interviewed was Farid Muhammad M.Pd., who served as principal of Al-Muslih school for 2 years. Pesantren and Al-Muslih Foundation have been established since before 2000, and Al-Muslih Junior High School was established in 2003. Currently, Al-Muslih Junior High School has a total of 126 students and 15 teachers, including the principal and educational staff.

Abstract

Education financing is often a problem for schools. Such as the difficult source of funds obtained by the school, the foundation, and how to manage finances for the school. In this research, we will discuss socialization activities carried out at SMP Al-Mushlih as a partner. The method of implementation carried out is the method of lectures and questions and answers conducted at the Al-Mushlih Foundation while still observing health protocols. The chairman of the Al-Mushlih Foundation who has responsibilities related to obtaining funds, one of his efforts is to hold entrepreneurs around the school to increase the institution's finances apart from relying on assistance from the government. The conclusion obtained from this socialization activity is the success in attracting partners and the wider community to participate in a series of online events and discussions that can make partners and the wider community one step ahead to gain new knowledge about Community-Based Education Financing Management in Karawang Regency.

Abstract

Islamic boarding school education is one of the traditional educational institutions that has an important role in maintaining and developing religious, cultural, and social values in the community. In Kedungjeruk Village, Cibuaya District, Karawang Regency, Islamic Boarding School is one of the educational centers that plays a vital role in the formation of student character and in the development of religious science. As an education center that is crucial in shaping the character of students and expanding religious knowledge, integrated quality management is an essential approach to improve the quality of education in the Islamic Boarding School. Through the Socialization of Integrated Quality Management, the ustadz and santri were introduced to the concepts, principles, and practices of integrated quality management, with the aim of deepening the understanding of the importance of integrated quality management in improving the quality of education in Islamic boarding schools. Socialization activities cover various aspects, from concepts to performance measurement and quality evaluation, involving active participants in discussions and debates on the implementation of integrated quality management in the context of Islamic boarding schools. It is hoped that a deeper understanding of integrated quality management will help the ustadz and students contribute positively in efforts to improve the quality of education at the Kedungjeruk Village Islamic Boarding School, ensuring sustainable growth, and provide quality education in accordance with the demands of the times.

Abstract

Education is an important foundation in building a cultured, knowledgeable, and competitive society. However, in the context of non-formal education, such as in Sekolah Paket C Pesantren Garunggung, challenges in developing the quality of education are often the main concern. This activity is a socialization program through lecture and question and answer methods that aim to introduce and implementing a community-based education quality planning system in education units in pesantren. This socialization involves educators, local stakeholders, and the pesantren community. This activity discusses concrete steps taken in the development of a community-based education quality planning system, starting from identifying needs to developing implementation models. The conclusion of this socialization is expected to increase awareness and a shared commitment to improve the quality of education, as well as strengthen community involvement in the education planning and development process. Thus, through the socialization of this seminar, the development of a community-based education quality planning system in Garunggung Islamic boarding schools becomes more accessible and connected to the needs and aspirations of the local education community.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui informasi secara lebih jauh mengenai implementasi manajemen pendidikan berbasis masyarakat dalam penyelenggaraan penjaminan mutu pendidikan anak usia dini. Metode yang dilakukan dalam penelitian ini adalah deskriptif dengan pendekatan kualitatif. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan adalah wawancara dan studi dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa di RA Al-Hilal Cikarang sangat dipengaruhi oleh pelibatan masyarakat / partisipasi masyarakat yang dijadikan pendekatan melalui dua strategi utama yaitu budaya transparansi pengelolaan sumber daya pendidikan dan penerapan budaya akuntabilitas dalam penyelenggaraan pengelolaan pendidikan berbasis masyarakat pada penjaminan mutu Pendidikan Anak Usia Dini

Abstract

This study aims to comparatively analyze teachers’ perceptions of school principals’ managerial and supervisory competencies in public and private schools. Using a qualitative library research approach, the investigation was conducted from January to June 2024. Data were gathered through literature review of scholarly publications and school leadership policy documents, then subjected to descriptive-comparative analysis. Findings indicate that public school principals tend to employ structural-bureaucratic management with standardized supervision, whereas private school principals demonstrate greater flexibility and adaptive, clinical-collaborative supervision and planning. These differences are influenced by organizational culture, governance autonomy, and teachers’ professional experience. Private school teachers report higher satisfaction with supervision due to its responsiveness to their needs, while public school teachers value consistency and regulatory compliance. The study recommends developing a competency model for school principals that integrates flexibility and accountability, alongside strengthening continuous evaluation mechanisms to enhance leadership quality and learning outcomes.

Abstract

The study aims to analyze the Islamic learning management model of Islamic boarding schools in Thailand through planning, organizing, implementing and evaluating. The method used in this study is qualitative. Data collection is carried out by observation, interview and documentation techniques. The data analysis technique is carried out through data reduction, data display, data interpretation, and finally, making conclusions. The results of research on the management of Darul Barakah cottage show that cottage management is already running, with the central manager being the leader of the ustadz. However, in implementation, it is assisted by the administrators in their respective portions, duties and responsibilities. Thus Darul Barakah lodge has done an excellent managerial even though it could be better. With a strong desire and enthusiasm to advance the education system, the learning management of Pondok Darul Barakah can change from the original Salafi form can be reconstructed to modern learning. The implication is that the learning management system of Islamic boarding schools in Thailand is the same as in Indonesia because they adopt the existing Islamic boarding school education system in Indonesia, starting from the admission of students and the learning system to graduation.

Abstract

Peneliti melakukan penelitian ini didasari dengan yang melatar belakangi kemerosotan akhlak pada remaja khusus nya pada jenjang pendidikan menengah pertama dengan rendahnya kepribadian yang dimiliki yang disebabkan oleh kemerosotan akhlak. Hal ini disebabkan oleh beberapa faktor yang mempengaruhi rendahnya akhlak yang dimiliki oleh siswa yaitu seperti budaya barat yang telah mengkontaminasi pendidikan agama islam sehingga budaya islam membias dan tidak berpengaruh terhadap pembentukan kepribadian siswa. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk dapat mendeskripsikan terhadap metode pendidikan akhlak dalam meningkatkan kepribadian siswa di SMP Nihayatul Amal Rawamerta. Jenis Penelitian ini merupakan jenis Kualitatif yang mana peneliti melakukan observasi dengan merumuskan hasil temuan dilapangan melalui penuangan dengan pendeskripisan kata-kata, dengan menggunakan pengumpulan data berupa wawancara, observasi, serta dokumentasi sebagai bahan untuk dapat memperoleh informasi yang ada dilapangan sebagai hasil dari penelitian. pengelolaan data hasil yang di temukan dilapangan menggunakan penyajian data, reduksi data, dan menarik kesimpulan sebagai hasil dari temuan yang ditemukan dilapangan pada saat penelitian. Metode Pendidikan akhlak yang diterapkan di SMP Nihayatul Amal Rawamerta Karawang adalah dengan menjadikan Al-qur’an dan hadits Sebagai landasan berakhlak siswa untuk menumbuhkan karakter serta kepribadian melalui sumber ajaran agama islam tersebut. hal ini bertujuan untuk dapat menciptakan budaya islam pada lembaga pendidikan serta siswa yang memiliki akhlak mulia.
