Abstract

Pemanfaatan pembelajaran dengan Teknologi dan Komunikasi (TIK), sudah sering digunakan di berbagai jenjang pendidikan. Namun pemanfaatan masih sebatas untuk pembelajaran saja. Rancang bangun Internet of Things pada layanan sistem akademik ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan kualitas sekolah. Dengan adanya layanan sistem akademik ini diharapkan bisa meringankan tugas guru dalam rangka menyiapkan strategi dalam pembelajarannya. Guru dan siswa akan lebih intensif dalam melakukan proses pembelajaran. Seluruh media yang digunakan selama pembelajaran di kelas maupun diluar kelas terhubung dengan jaringan internet yang bisa di akses bebas oleh siswa maupun guru. Seluruh perangkat dan infrastruktur terintegrasi menggunakan jaringan internet. Data maupun materi yang diperlukan tersedia di server data. Sistem akademik ini akan membantu guru dalam pengorganisasian sumber data maupun materi ajar. Materi ajar maupun administrasi guru bisa diakses secara online dan bisa dicetak jika diperlukan untuk bukti fisik materi maupun administrasinya. Lebih lanjut rancang bangun Internet of Things ini bisa dikembangkan untuk layanan pendidikan yang lain. Kata Kunci: Integrasi, Internet of Things, Sistem akademik

Abstract

E-learning is an IT tool that facilitates learning process. In order to optimize its function, e-learning need to be evaluated. There are many indicators on evaluating e-learning such as voluntariness of use. This study aims to evaluate factors that impact the usage of an e-learning system by considering voluntariness of use as moderating factor on e-learning usage. This study uses the UTAUT model that consists of four independent variables (performance expectancy, effort expectancy, social influence, and facilitating condition), two dependent variables (behavioral intention, use behavior), and one moderating variable (voluntariness). Voluntariness is hypothesized to affect the interaction of social influence and behavioral intention. This study uses Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) to validate the concepts and theories about e-learning usage’s factors at Universitas Sahid Surakarta and Moderated Structural Equation Modeling (MSEM) to validate the moderation effect of voluntariness to the interaction of social influence and behavioral intention. From SEM analysis, we can conclude that performance expectancy and effort expectancy positively influence the behavioral intention of e-learning. Meanwhile, from MSEM analysis we can conclude that voluntariness can’t moderate the usage of e-learning.Keywords: e-learning; SEM; UTAUT; voluntariness.

Abstract

In this research Crude Palm Oil (CPO) and methanol were reacted by applying 5 % basic catalyst (KOH) and adding diethyl ether as co-solvent to produce methyl ester (biodiesel). Co-solvent was added in order to form one-phase reaction mixture, and then higher reaction rate was expected compare with two-phase system. Reaction was carried out batch wise in 1 litre glass reactor stirred continuously at 300 rpm. The objective of this research is to obtain the characteristic of biodiesel product. The advantage using this methode was showed by several characteristics of the biodiesel product. The density and viscosity had achieved the commercial biodiesel standard, this biodiesel product has higher flash point of the product compared with solar, which means lower risk factor during storage. The very low sulfur content and the pour point of product that was layed below the maximum allowable limit, are environmentally favorable.

Abstract

Abstrak Layanan digital library Universitas Gadjah Mada merupakan layanan yang diberikan untuk mahasiswa untuk mempermuda dalam mengakses informasi. Dalam survei yang dilakukan peneliti membuktikan fakta bahwa 57% responden rata-rata hanya 3 kali menggunakan dalam satu bulan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui faktor-faktor untuk meningkatkan penggunaan digital library. Metode yang digunakan menggunakan model kesuksesan sistem informasi DeLone dan McLean dengan melakukan modifikasi. Pengumpulan data dilakukan menggunakan kuesioner yang disebar kepada seluruh mahasiswa UGM. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bawah niat untuk menggunakan kembali dipengaruhi oleh tiga faktor utama yaitu kualitas informasi, kualitas sistem dan kualitas layanan  Kata kunci: digital library,DeLone dan McLean.

Abstract

Nowadays, the implementation of information and communication technology in education is important. In harmony with technological developments, the term mobile learning comes to represent learning that utilizes mobile communication devices. The implementation of augmented reality in education provides a new learning model in the form of a combination of technology-based conventional learning media. This research aimed to evaluate augmented reality-based books as media for learning Cirebon mask dance. As many as 15 respondents were involved in the evaluation process, including testing the usability using the System Usability Scale (SUS) and User Experience Questionnaire (UEQ). The evaluation using SUS found a value of 77.67, meaning that the Acceptability Ranges category was “Acceptable”; the Grade Scale category was “C”; and the Adjective Rating category was “Excellent”, while that using UEQ found that each category, namely Attractiveness, Perspicuity, Efficiency, Dependability, Stimulation, Dependability, and Novelty got a value greater than the impression value (0.8), namely 2.122; 2.117; 1.983; 1.750; 1.950 and 1,867, respectively. Overall, all of the evaluation results show that augmented reality-based books are acceptable to be used as media for learning Cirebon mask dance.

Abstract

Smart grid mobile application is a modernization in the consumption of electric power. Based on current research on smart grid mobile applications, it has investigated to the monitoring function, regulating, and scheduling energy consumption only. In the other case, the process of selling and buying electrical power is not inspected yet. This paper designedthe user interface (UI) of smart grid mobile application in the process of selling and purchasing the electrical power. This combined Materials Design for Android (MDfA) with a design that adopts Common Element Sets (CES). The results of UI design were tested using usability and User Experience (UX). Usability test used System Usability Scale (SUS) and UX test used User Experience Questionnaire (UEQ). The results of usability testing obtained a score of 72 that was considered above average and included in the category "good". UX test in each aspect obtained a score as follows: attractiveness 1.925, perspicuity 1.975, efficiency 1.913, dependability 1.730, stimulation 1.938, and novelty 1.988. Overall UX testing results were included into the category "very good".

Abstract

The research is about modeling marker recognition of Augmented Reality with Metaio Creator that desktop based, for getting information from a smartphone specification. This application is run by direct camera pc to marker, then application will give an augmented information about that smartphone. The augmented information are specification, and top features of smartphone. The testing is done by do the marker (natural printed AR marker) recognition process. The testers of that testing are a range of marker recognition and large of marker area that is recognized by AR application. The results are a good range of marker recognition, from marker to pc camera, and a good large of marker area. So user know a good range and area of marker to run Augmented Reality application.

Abstract

The development of 3-D graphics applications leads to the generation of photo-realistic graphics image, which is implemented many applications, such us design, simulation, games as well as to making animated films. Rendering techniques used to generate the graphics image is still les realistic, because lack of real-world lighting models. Subsequent research led to the global illumination models that used a model of the light rays as in the actual physical environment. The algorithm that can implement global illumination models are ray-tracing algorithm. This algorithm is capable of producing 3-D graphic image of a high quality photo-realistic, but requires a complex mathematical equation and computation. POV-Ray is a tool used to implement the ray-tracing models to produce photo-realistic graphics image. These results show that the POV-Ray can generate 3-D graphic image of high qualityt.

Abstract

Human computer interaction has a long history to become more intuitive. For human being, gesture of different kind is one of the most intuitive and common communication. However, vision-based hand gesture recognition is a challenging problem, which are involved complex computation, due to high degree of freedom in humand hand.In this paper we use hand gesture captured by web-cam instead of mice, for natural and intuitive human-computer interaction. Skin detections method is used to create a segmented hand image and to differentiate with the background. A contours and convex hull algorithm is used to recognize hand area as well as the number of finger tip of hand gesture image to be mapped with button. And for moving detection of hand gesture, the Lucas-Kanade pyramidal algorithm were used.The result shows that this system can operate well so we can interact with computer using our hand gesture instead using a mice.

Abstract

The use of learning media is currently growing rapidly. Today, many studies use computers as adaptive learning media for students; one example is the hypermedia learning environment (HLE). HLE media was developed to assist students in learning, such as the current situation of the Corona Virus Disease 2019 (COVID-19) pandemic which requires all learning activities to be carried out online. One of those affected fields is the education field, where all learning activities are transferred online, so HLE web-based learning can help students to keep learning from home. HLE is currently being developed to improve students’ abilities in the self-regulated learning (SRL) process. In SRL, there is an important component in it, namely self-monitoring. However, in its development, the developed HLE is not based on self-monitoring. In this study, an adaptive HLE was developed based on students’ self-monitoring abilities. In its development, the HLE system used the agile development method, namely Scrum. The initial data collection for student classification was the self-regulatory inventory (SRI). SRI was used as an instrument to measure students’ self-monitoring ability. The data were then processed to classify students into three classes, namely high, medium, and low. Subsequently, the results of the classification of student abilities were used to develop learning aids in HLE. The development assistance provided was in the form of text and videos that were adjusted to the level of student self-monitoring. From the results of the development, it was found that all HLE functions could run well. The system was tested on twelve students to determine the level of usability by using the system usability scale (SUS). The results were classified as good category, with a score of 72.92. Further research can apply this method to students and measure the effectiveness of the system that has been developed.
