Abstract

Educational supervision is a process of providing professional assistance to teachers aimed at continuously improving the quality of instruction and education, with an emphasis on guidance, constructive coaching, and the development of teacher competencies through needs analysis and performance reflection, rather than judgmental practices. This article comprehensively discusses the concept of educational supervision, including its nature, objectives, principles, functions, scope, techniques, and models, as well as the roles and qualifications required of a supervisor. Educational supervision is directed toward improving the quality of teaching and learning processes and outcomes, developing teacher professionalism, refining instructional strategies and assessment, and creating a conducive and innovative learning environment. Effective supervision is grounded in principles such as democratic, cooperative, objective, scientific, adaptive, and continuous approaches. The scope of supervision includes lesson planning, implementation, and evaluation, classroom management, the use of media and technology, and the continuous professional development of teachers. Various supervisory techniques, both individual and group-based, along with supervision models such as clinical, academic, administrative, and collaborative supervision, are employed to support the effectiveness of supervisory practice. The outcomes of supervision are expected to enhance teachers’ pedagogical and professional competence, improve the school climate, and provide a strong foundation for planning comprehensive educational quality improvement.

Abstract

Measurement reliability is a crucial aspect of research because it concerns the consistency and trustworthiness of measurement results, whereby a reliable instrument is able to produce stable data when used repeatedly under the same conditions. This paper discusses the concept of measurement reliability, its types, testing methods, and the factors that influence the level of reliability of research instruments. The types of reliability reviewed include response consistency reliability, composite item consistency, external reliability, and internal reliability. The reliability testing methods discussed comprise test–retest, parallel forms, split-half, Cronbach’s alpha, and inter-rater reliability. In addition, this study highlights various factors that affect reliability, such as item clarity, respondent conditions, measurement environment, number of items, time interval between measurements, and assessor quality. A sound understanding of reliability is expected to help researchers design and use instruments that are more accurate, consistent, and scientifically accountable, thereby improving the overall quality of research findings.

Abstract

This study aimed to examine the effects of storage on the physicochemical and microbiological quality of pasteurized goat milk. Milk from 40 crossbred Saanen goats, each in their third lactation period and DIM 60 (day in milk), was collected in the morning, resulting in a composite sample of 20 L. The milk was then pasteurized using the low-temperature long-time (LTLT) method. The experimental design was a completely randomized design with a factorial pattern. The treatments combined two factors: temperature and time. The temperature factor (T) consisted of T1 = room temperature (25–30°C), T2 = 15–20°C, T3 = 5–10°C, and T4 = -5–0°C. The time factor (V) consisted of V1 = 8 hours, V2 = 24 hours, and V3 = 72 hours, resulting in 12 treatment combinations (4x3) with three replications, yielding a total of 36 experimental units. The results showed a significant interaction (P<0.05) between temperature and storage time on the physicochemical and microbiological parameters of pasteurized goat milk. The total plate count (TPC) values for treatments T1V1, T1V2, and T1V3 were higher, whereas for treatments T4V1, T4V2, and T4V3, they were lower. The T0 treatment could only maintain milk quality up to 8 hours, T1 could maintain milk quality up to 24 hours, while the quality of milk in T3 and T4 treatments remained good even after 72 hours of storage. It is concluded that storage without refrigeration can maintain milk quality for up to 8 hours, while cooling with ice gel can maintain milk quality for up to 24 hours. For storing pasteurized goat milk for more than 24 hours or up to 72 hours, it is recommended to use a cooling device with a temperature below 10°C, such as a refrigerator or freezer.

Abstract

This study aimed to evaluate the relationship between Crude Protein (CP), Total Digestible Nutrient (TDN), and Calcium (Ca) intake in dry-stall dairy cows on birth weight and body size of Holstein Friesian calves. The study used an observational method with purposive sampling of dry-stall Holstein Friesian dairy cows in the early 8th month of gestation with parity 2–7. The parameters observed included CP, TDN, and Ca intake of the dams during the dry-stall period as well as birth weight, chest circumference, height, and body length of the calves. Data were analyzed using multiple regression to determine the relationship between variables. The results showed that the average intake of TDN, CP, and Ca was 8.03 kg/head/day, 1.52 kg/head/day, and 63 g/head/day, respectively. The average birth weight of calves was 38.89 kg with body measurements of 81.64 cm chest circumference, 78.92 cm height, and 70.82 cm length. Intake of TDN and CP together was significantly related to birth weight and chest circumference of calves, but not significantly related to height and length. Ca intake did not show a significant relationship to birth weight or body size of calves. Based on the results of the study, it can be concluded that the intake of CP and TDN of dairy cow in the dry phase of the pen is positively related to the initial performance of calves as reflected in birth weight and chest circumference, while the intake of Ca of the mother in that phase is not directly related to calf performance at birth.

Abstract

Islamic religious education plays a vital role in shaping the character, morality, and spirituality of learners, including children with special needs (CWSN), who within the framework of inclusive education have equal rights to receive religious instruction tailored to their psychological development and individual conditions. This study aims to analyze the role of educational psychology in supporting the implementation of adaptive and meaningful Islamic religious education for CWSN. A qualitative literature review method was employed to explore the integration of Islamic values and psychological approaches within the learning process. The findings indicate that individualized approaches, differentiated instruction, the use of multisensory media, and collaboration among teachers, families, and communities contribute to more inclusive religious education practices. However, significant challenges remain, including the shortage of trained educators, the lack of adaptive learning resources, and persistent social stigma, all of which require systemic and collaborative solutions. The study concludes that integrating Islamic values with the principles of educational psychology forms a critical foundation for developing a just, empathetic, and diversity-respecting model of Islamic religious education.

Abstract

Gamification is a basic concept of game mechanics which apply into non-game environments. Games as joyful playing is widely used in daily life, including in education. Game was assembled by fundamental elements which regulate not only how it was played but also what is the final goal of their mechanics. When a game is operated; the player's cognitive, affective, and psychomotor aspects are involved. Involving three domains was integrated into an environment which stimulated the cognitive dimension. By using more complicated mechanics it will cultivate the metacognitive of players. This paper investigated how educational games can improve the player’s metacognitive skill. Investigating was done by theoretically analysing. The invention of this work is that educational games can improve a player's metacognitive which consist of several stages, namely goal setting and planning, selection and strategy selection, monitoring and evaluation, organization and self regulation, and attention. So, learning the effort of clearing stages of Cat Mario would encourage students to memorize knowledge and pattern of question so they could clear the question and learn new stuff through metacognitive skills that are obtained by their gaming experiences.
