Abstract

Eco riding/driving is an approach to driving that aims to optimize fuel efficiency and reduce environmental impact. This technique guides drivers to avoid sudden acceleration and braking in order to maintain a stable speed, maintain optimal tire pressure and carry out regular vehicle maintenance. This technique helps save fuel, reduces greenhouse gas emissions, and extends vehicle life. The aim of this research is to determine the level of understanding of students in the automotive engineering education study program regarding Eco Riding. This research is a survey research carried out from July - December 2024 to 56 students in the automotive engineering education study program at Muhammdiyah University, Purworejo. The research data were analyzed using quantitative descriptive analysis. The research results showed that the level of students' understanding of Eco Riding was in the high category at 50%, followed by the medium category (32.1%), rendang category (14.3%) and very high category at 3.6%.

Abstract

Sekolah Menengah Kejuruan (SMK) Pusat Keunggulan (PK) merupakan program pengembangan SMK dengan kompetensi keahlian tertentu dalam peningkatan kualitas dan kinerja, yang diperkuat melalui kemitraan dan penyelarasan dengan dunia usaha, dunia industri, dunia kerja, yang akhirnya menjadi SMK rujukan yang dapat berfungsi sebagai sekolah penggerak dan pusat peningkatan kualitas dan kinerja SMK lainnya. Program SMK PK didampingi oleh Perguruan Tinggi yang bertugas, yakni (1) melaksanakan koordinasi dengan lingkup Kemdikbudristek, (2) pendampingan pemenuhan 8 standar nasional pendidikan, (3) melaksanakan “link and match” dengan dunia usaha dan dunia industri, (4) memberikan pelatihan kepada guru, kepala sekolah, dan pengawas sekolah, serta (5) mengimplementasi Kurikulum Merdeka. Dari hasil evaluasi pelaksanaan pendampingan TEFA di SMK Negeri 8 Purworejo didapatkan data bahwa pelaksanaan pendampingan yang dilaksanakan dalam bentuk kegiatan workshop, dapat terlaksana dengan baik dan mendapatkan tanggapan yang baik dari seluruh peserta workshop pendampingan yaitu SMK Negeri 8 Purworejo.

Abstract

This research aims to find out how the application of audio video learning media for disc brake systems can increase students' interest in learning about the subject of disc brake systems in class XI TSM SMK Ma'arif NU 1 Bener. To find out how interested students are in learning after implementing audio video learning media for motorbike disc brake systems. The research method used is classroom action research. The results of this research in cycle I show that there is still a lack of student interest in learning, this is shown by the results of distributing questionnaires conducted by researchers which show the score in cycle I is 2262 with a percentage of 70% and in cycle I there is an increase, namely getting a total score of 2399 with a percentage of 80 %.

Abstract

This community service program aims to strengthen the competence of automotive workshop MSMEs in mastering microcontroller-based starter system technology, enabling them to adapt to the era of vehicle digitalization. The program was carried out through several stages: identification of training needs, delivery of basic theory on microcontrollers and starter systems, practical sessions in module assembly and programming, followed by mentoring and evaluation. The results of the evaluation showed an 85% increase in participants’ understanding of the digital starter system concept, an 80% improvement in module assembly and programming skills, and a 75% increase in readiness to apply innovative starter systems in workshop services. The novelty of this activity lies in the development of a more applicable digital starter system model tailored to the needs of small-scale workshops. The implementation emphasized a participatory, practice-based approach using learning by doing. Participants, mainly workshop owners and technicians, were guided step by step from component recognition, software operation with Arduino IDE, to the prototyping of functional microcontroller-based starter systems. To ensure sustainability, the program also provided training modules, video tutorials, and online mentoring, allowing participants to continue practicing independently after the training. Beyond improving technical competence, this activity also fostered an innovative mindset among participants, making them more confident to provide modern, technology-oriented services. In the long term, the program is expected to enhance the competitiveness of automotive MSMEs, strengthen customer trust, and build collaborative networks between higher education institutions and local workshops in supporting vocational education and digital transformation.

Abstract

This study aims to (1) determine the feasibility of Audio Visual-based learning media in the subject of Basic Automotive Engineering Works (PDTO) at SMK Negeri 8 Purworejo, (2) to determine the increase in learning interest of class X TBSM students at SMK Negeri 8 Purworejo after using Audio Visual-based learning media. The data collection technique in this study was by distributing questionnaires. This study used the Research and Development (R & D) method with the research subjects taken being class X TBSM students at SMK Negeri 8 Purworejo totaling 36 students. The results showed a difference in learning interest in students at SMK Negeri 8 Purworejo between classes that did not use audio visual media and classes that used audio visual media for the subject of Basic Automotive Engineering Works (PDTO), namely a percentage of 73.33 was obtained and in the second data collection or research using audio visual learning media, a percentage of 86.38 was obtained, there was a significant increase of 13.05. From the increase in learning interest, it can be concluded that using audio-visual learning media can increase students' learning interest, especially in the subject of Basic Automotive Engineering Work, basic competency of mechanical measuring instruments.

Abstract

In essence, technology has become an inseparable part of Gen Z's life. However, inappropriate use of technology can impact their development. The technology that exists today, has a great influence on the progress of a nation and for that the role of parents and educators must be able to encourage as well as provide control and supervision to children so that they are not addicted to technology. because with technology can expand knowledge through the internet and digital devices, increase creativity to be creative in developing skills and can facilitate learning. However, current technology can also have negative impacts such as children becoming dependent and spending time in front of the screen, social interactions, even children are more interested in front of the screen than playing in the surrounding environment. The purpose of this study is to analyze the influence of technology on Gen Z from an Islamic perspective and how to implement it. The research method used is a qualitative method with a library research approach. The results of this study indicate that the influence of technology on Gen Z is very large, this is because technological advances require everyone to be able to operate technology. However, it must be balanced with the role of Islam, namely character education. Character education has a higher meaning than moral education, therefore character education not only teaches right and wrong, but also instills habits (habituation) about what is good so that Gen Z understands, is able to feel, and wants to do what is good. In the Islamic perspective, character is called morality. The components of moral or personality education include: knowledge, attitudes, and behavior and are identical to the teachings of Islam itself which are sourced from the Quran and Hadith.

Abstract

Batang Regency is one of the areas located on the north west coast of Central Java province. Batang Regency is located in a strategic position, this area is traversed by primary arterial roads that connect West Java and DKI Jakarta with cities in Central Java and East Java Provinces. Batang Regency is divided into 15 sub-districts consisting of 239 villages, 9 sub-districts, 936 hamlets, 3,680 neighborhood units (RT) and 1,009 community units (RW). The total area of Batang Regency is 78,864.16 Ha. The widest sub-district is Subah District, which is 83.52 Ha (10.59%), while the smallest is Warungasem District, which is 23.55 Ha (2.99%) of the total area of Batang Regency. The Central Government's program to encourage the sector to strengthen the industrial sector in Indonesia, namely one of the developments in the Batang industry. The Government provides supporting facilities in the development of the Batang Industrial area through APBN financing. The Batang Industrial Estate has around 4,300 hectares of land to develop, for the first phase it will develop a land area of 450 hectares. To support the supply of drinking water in this area, PERUMDA of Sendang Kamulyan Drinking Water, Batang Regency will supply drinking water which will take water from the raw water source of the Bangkangan spring at 100 liters/second and will be supplied to the Industrial Area at 80 l/s. For the analysis of the drinking water supply system in this industrial area, the Epanet 2.2 program will be used by comparing the hydraulic analysis of the use of HDPE, PVC and iron pipe types/materials, residual pressure and diameter as well as calculating the amount of investment based on the type of pipe material. The results of running Epanet 2.2 on HDPE, Iron and PVC pipes with remaining water pressure at the end of the pipe at the KITB Junction, the remaining pressure is more than 10 meters, meaning that the water has flowed with sufficient criteria in the service area. Based on the analysis taking into account efficiency, the selected pipe is HDPE with an investment value of Rp. 20,273,230,410. The recommendations given for SPAM KITB, can use HDPE pipes, apart from lower costs HDPE pipes have a better roughness coefficient than PVC pipes and iron pipes and can also minimize pipe leaks. Lessons from this study with Epanet Software can calculate water hydraulics in the piping system such as water velocity, the furthest remaining water pressure can be known quickly, can determine the type and specifications of pipes used for the study area and known cost efficiency based on the type of iron, PVC and HDPE pipes.

Abstract

Sistem HVAC adalah salah satu komponen terbesar dalam konsumsi energi di sebuah gedung. Untuk rumah pribadi dapat mengkonsumsi energy hingga 42%. Terdapat pilihan sistem tata udara dengan efisiensi tinggi yaitu sistem geotermal. Pada tulisan ini, penulis melakukan kajian literatur terhadap teknik tata udara memanfaatkan geotermal dengan sistem Direct Exchange (Pertukaran langsung) dengan menggunakan air sebagai refrigerannya.Sistempertukaran langsung (direct exchange) adalah sistem tipe pendingin dan pemanas geotermal tertutup pada pipa tembaga dimana refrigeran bersirkulasi. Pipa tembaga dipasang pada jalur yang dipasang secara vertical atau horizontal. Simulasi pemodelan sistem tata udara dengan sistem pompa kalor geothermal untuk gedung tempat tinggal menunjukkan bahwa periode 5 tahun merupakan hasil terbaik sebagai penukar kalor adalah 14 penukar kalor disusun seri dengan jarak 10 meter dan panjang 100 m. Sistem geotermal dengan sistem pertukaran langsung (direct exchange), tanpa adanya secondary refrigeran berhasil menurunkan suhu ruangan. Gaffar menggunakan air sebagai refrigeran pada sistemnya, dengan penambahan koil penguap sebagai elemen penunjang. Air yang mengalir pada pipa tembaga mampu mentransfer kalor dari dingin (air tanah) ke panas (lingkungan) dengan karakteristik panjang pipa, diameter pipa yang bervariasi, dan kecepatan alir yang bervariasi akan memiliki kemampuan pemindahan kalor yang bervariasi pula.Berdasarkan studi literature yang telah dilakukan, didapatkan kesimpulan bahwa sistem pertukaran langsung (Direct Exchange) geotermal dapat dilakukan dengan menggunakan air sebagai refrigeran, laju perpindahan kalor pada pipa dengan fluida air dipengaruhi oleh dimensi pipa dan suhu air tanah, dan dalam perencanaan dan penerapan teknik khususnya sistem pertukaran langsung geotermal dapat didekati dengan rumus rumus empiris.

Abstract

Pengkondisian udara merupakan sistem yang digunakan untuk mengkondisikan udara sesuai dengan rancangan yang diinginkan. Penggunaan alat pengkondisian udara ini seperti pada gedung dan rumah tempat tinggal. Alat pengkondisian udara ini ada bermacam-macam tetapi yang menjadi topik dalam penelitian ini adalah AC Split yang dimodifikasi. Selain alat terdapat bermacam-macam juga sistem pengkondisian udara, tetapi penulis memilih sistem geotermal dalam penelitian ini. Teknologi geotermal adalah teknologi yang memanfaatkan suhu bumi. Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan memodifikasi AC Split menjadi AC sistem geotermal. Tujuan khusus yang ingin dicapai pada penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui performa maupun kerja kompresi dari AC split biasa dibanding dengan AC split modifikasi. Metode yang digunakan adalah metode eksperimental meliputi observasi, study literatur, perancangan, pengambilan data, dan analisis terhadap sistem tata udara yang sebelum dimodifikasi dan setelah dimodifikasi. Bagian yang dimodifikasi adalah bagian kondensor. Pengambilan data dilakukan selama dua hari, dengan kondisi AC Split sebelum dimodifikasi dan setelah dimodifikasi. Hasil yang didapatkan untuk performa dan kerja kompresi sebelum dimodifikasi, didapatkan COP rata-rata adalah 4,66, dan Wk rata-rata adalah 0,61. Dan hasil yang didapatkan untuk performa dan kerja kompresi setelah dimodifikasi, didapatkan COP rata-rata adalah 4,05, dan Wk rata-rata adalah 0,56. Hasil dari penelitian ini diharapkan menjadi tolak ukur dan diharapkan juga adanya penelitian lebih lanjut.

Abstract

Sistem Pengkondisian udara adalah sistem yang digunakan untuk mengkondisikan udara sesuai dengan rancangan yang diinginkan. Penggunaan alat pengkondisian udara ini seperti pada gedung dan rumah tempat tinggal. Jenis pengkondisi udara yang biasa dipakai di rumah maupun kantor adalah jenis AC split. AC sistem geotermal adalah teknologi pengkondisian udara yang memanfaatkan suhu bumi. Terdapat 2 jenis pengkondisian system geothermal. Yaitu system terbuka dan system tertutup. Telah dilakukan penelitian tentang modifikasi AC split menjadi AC system geothermal, menggunakan system tertutup. Permasalahan yang muncul adalah bagaimana jika terdapat lokasi yang dapat memfasilitasi penggunaan system geothermal system terbuka. Tentu hal ini akan lebih mudah dan murah untuk diterapkan dibanding system tertutup, dengan catatan pendukung system terbuka tersedia secara cuma-cuma. Desain ini dilakukan untuk memberikan alternative pengkondisian udara system geothermal Berdasarkan pembahasan, dapat diambil kesimpulan bahwa pengkondisian udara dengan modifikasi AC split menjadi system geothermal system terbuka dapat dilakukan jika terdapat kolam / sungai / danau didekat gedung yang menggunakan AC split, dan implementasi modifikasi AC split memungkinkan peningkatan efisiensi penggunaan energy pada gedung / rumah tersebut.  Â
