Abstract

The Indonesia's Open Unemployment Rate (TPT) is 5.45% or reached 7.99 million people as of February 2023. Therefore, government support and continuous improvement of the training-based curriculum system are needed. Link and match between Indonesian vocational education and the industrial world needs to be built so that Indonesian vocational graduates are significantly absorbed by the industry. The Indonesian vocational education curriculum needs to be developed together by involving the Business and Industrial World with a vision of implementation based on needs. The purpose of this research is to find out the educational service variables in Indonesian vocational learning needed by the industrial world. So that it can be used as a reference for vocational education in improving service quality. The results of research using EDUQUAL-IPA integration show that there are four priority variables that are the focus of improvement, namely; learning outcomes 1 (ability to use the latest technology), learning outcomes 2 (practical orientation in education), Physical facilities 8 (effective classroom management) and academics 4 (channeling the interests and talents of graduates).

Abstract

Abstract

Empty oil palm bunches processed by palm oil mills in Indonesia are still abundant, reaching 56.35 million tons per year. Empty oil palm bunches contain around 40% cellulose, so they can still be used for various derivative products, one of which is composite products. The use of empty oil palm bunches as raw materials for Bioplastic production is a series of ongoing research, one of which is starch-cellulose blend, but until now it has not been successfully commercialized. The design of the starch cellulose blend bioplastic industry using palm oil as raw material produces two factories, namely a cellulose factory and a composite bioplastic factory. Both factories are designed in separate buildings. The separation of cellulose from TKKS uses a chemical method with soda, after mechanical treatment of size reduction. The industry is designed in 3 scales of production capacity, namely a large scale of 190,000 tons / year, medium 115.00 tons / year, and small 40,000 tons.year. The financial analysis of the three scales of production capacity as a whole is declared feasible. Profit margin is calculated at a minimum of 17.6%. The average payback period is between 3-5 years with an IRR of 24-49%. Analysis of the economic value produces an EScale index of 0.64 which indicates that the economic scale has been achieved. The economic scale of the starch cellulose blend bioplastic industry from TKKS is at a production capacity of 40,000 tons per year with a minimum supply of TKKS raw materials of 20,203 tons/year. At the smallest economic scale, the BEP is actually only 6627.4 tons/year, where this condition can be achieved because the industry has relatively small fixed costs.

Abstract

Abstract

Currently, the linear economic model applied in Indonesia still relies on a "take-make-dispose" pattern that is unsustainable. The circular economic approach emphasizes efforts to extend the life cycle of raw materials and product resources, minimize waste, and support the regeneration of natural systems. This research analyze the important role of suppliers in supporting circular economy success in the fashion retail compay. The objective of this study is to select and validate priority criteria and sub-criteria as a performance ranking framework for fashion retail industry suppliers using the Fuzzy Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP) method. The results of the Fuzzy AHP analysis indicate that quality, delivery, cost, cooperation ability, and environmental performance criteria are the priority for ranking supplier performance in the fashion retail industry, with the highest weight assigned to the quality criteria. This is followed by subcriteria such as rejection rate and product price, which carry the highest subcriteria weights. This is because there is still a significant percentage of defective goods produced due to raw materials that are easily damaged or not in line with circular economic concepts. These recommendations can aid in more effective decision-making in selecting fashion retail suppliers, considering circular economic aspects and sustainable performance.
