Abstract

The main goal of education is to provide people with access to the knowledge and skills they need to deal with life's difficulties. Many academic fields, including science, mathematics, and foreign languages. The motivation of students involved in educational activities comes from their own desires. Meanwhile students are more involved in their learning when they actively participate in class activities, discussions, and homework provided. Lecturer competence refers to the knowledge, skills, and capacity of effective subject communication. The problem of this research is whether there is influence from learning motivation and student activity as well as lecturer competence on student achievement. The purpose of this study was to analyze the influence of learning motivation, student activity and lecturer competence on student achievement. This study uses an explanatory survey research method. The research hypothesis will be tested using the structural equation method, namely SEM (Structural Equation Modeling) with an alternative method, namely PLS (Partial Least Square). The results of processing boostraping data, Student activity with learning achievement of 0.328 has a high influence (F-square value close to 0.35). The competence of lecturers with learning achievement of 0.063 has a relatively low influence. Learning motivation with learning achievement of 0.294 has a moderate influence.

Abstract

Abstract

Based on an estimate for 2030, Indonesia's workforce needs are estimated to reach 113,000,000 people. From data from the Central Statistics Agency (BPS) the Open Unemployment Rate (TPT) in Indonesia reached 8.42 million people as of August 2022. The highest TPT, namely 9.42%, was contributed by SMK graduates. Seeing this, an action is needed to align learning in the classroom to suit the needs of the industrial world. The literature review approach is used to find research gaps in the application of lean learning in vocational education using VosViewers. Based on the results of the VosViewers analysis and the SOTA matrix, it was found that the use of SERVQUAL has been quite widely applied in the service sector, but the combination of EDUQUAL and KANO has not been widely studied in the education world, especially in LEAN LEARNING research in vocational education.

Abstract

Indonesia’s rapid growth in nickel processing has led to a significant increase in nickel slag from pyrometallurgical operations. While slag buildup creates environmental and land-use problems, using it in downstream production by small- and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) has not been studied much. This study examines the technical and financial feasibility of producing paving blocks from nickel slag in a semi-mechanical SME production system. The process uses 85% slag, 10% fly ash, and 5% cement, with a planned capacity of 1,800,000 units per year. The technical review covers material processing steps, equipment details, and steady-state operating capacity. Financial analysis is done over 10 years with a 10% discount rate and standard capital budgeting methods. The total investment needed is IDR 2.16 billion. Results show strong financial performance, with a Net Present Value (NPV) of IDR 4.13 billion, an Internal Rate of Return (IRR) of 25.40%, a Benefit–Cost ratio of 2.91, and a payback period of 30.84 months. The break-even point is 279,886 units, or 21.53% of capacity, showing the system can handle moderate market stress. These results show that the use of SME-based slag is both technically feasible and economically sound, supporting small-scale industrial cooperation and offering a practical way to promote circular integration in Indonesia’s nickel industry. Abstract

This community service partner is the Non-Governmental Organization (NGO) PERMAI in Penang. PERMAI members are generally Indonesian workers who work in Penang, some of whom work as home-based food traders. Around where he lives, traders produce waste, including organic waste from cooking activities and leftovers from selling vegetables and fruit. This organic waste rots easily if left alone, causing an unpleasant odor in the surrounding area and causing a smelly and unhealthy environment. One way to handle organic waste, especially rotten fruit and vegetables produced from household or restaurant waste, is by making liquid fertilizer. The implementation method used is two stages, namely: 1) preparation stage; production originating from appropriate technological equipment activities for making liquid fertilizer, discussions and sharing with team members, and 2) the stage of implementing community service at partner locations, distributing questionnaires before and after the exposure. The expected target in this community service activity is to increase the knowledge of the Indonesian working community in Pulau Pinang regarding how to make and the benefits of liquid fertilizer which can be made from everyday household vegetable and fruit waste.

Abstract

The telecommunications industry operates in highly complex and technology-intensive environments, requiring project management tools that align with user-centered operational needs. This study aims to identify the user requirement factors for project management tools by applying factor analysis as a data reduction technique to group various user requirement variables into a smaller number of laten variable. The study utilizes primary data collected 78 respondents from professionals in project management activities within the telecommunications industry. The results indicate that the basic user requirement variables can be grouped into seven main factors representing the functional aspects of project management tools, namely operational (17.12%), monitoring (10.35%), task assignment (8.37%), information (7.91%), performance (7.64%), reliability (7.20%), and usability (6.91%). These seven factors collectively explain 65.53% of the cumulative variance, indicating that they are sufficiently representative in describing user requirements for project management tools. The findings provide a more structured understanding of user needs and can serve as a basis for the development and selection of project management tools that align with project operational requirements.
