Abstract

Dasar permasalahan dari penelitian ini yaitu kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematis yang siswa miliki tergolong rendah. Penelitian ini bermaksud untuk memproduksi LKPD berbasis pendekatan kontekstual untuk memfasilitasi kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematis pada materi SPLDV SMP/MTs kelas 8 yang memenuhi kriteria valid dan praktis. Penelitian pengembangan dilaksanakan dengan berpedoman pada model 4D yang terdiri atas empat tahapan yaitu tahap Define (pendefenisian), tahap Design (perancangan), tahap Development (pengembangan) dan tahap Disseminate (penyebaran). Subjek penelitian melibatkan peserta didik kelas 8 SMP Babussalam Pekanbaru dengan rincian 3 orang peserta didik pada tahap one to one, 6 orang peserta didik pada uji coba kelompok kecil dan 25 peserta didik pada uji coba kelompok besar. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan adalah data validitas LKPD dan praktikalitas. Penelitian ini memanfaatkan instrumen data validitas berupa lembar validasi dan instrumen data praktikalitas berupa angket respon siswa. Hasil skor validitas LKPD yang didapatkan sebesar 3,6 dan dikategorikan sangat valid. Sementara itu, hasil skor angket respon peserta didik untuk uji coba kelompok kecil adalah dan untuk uji coba kelompok besar adalah , kedua ujicoba tersebut berkategori sangat praktis. Jadi, disimpulkan bahwa LKPD berbasis pendekatan kontekstual untuk memfasilitasi KPMM pada materi SPLDV SMP/MTs kelas 8 yang memenuhi kriteria valid dan praktis.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk memperbaiki proses pembelajaran dan meningkatkan kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematis dengan menerapkan model Problem Based Learning (PBL). Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian tindakan kelas, dengan subjek penelitian peserta didik kelas VIII-1 SMP Taruna Sakti Pekanbaru yang berjumlah 25 peserta didik. Bentuk penelitian ini adalah Penelitian Tindakan Kelas. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan dalam dua siklus. Siklus I terdiri dari dua pertemuan dan siklus II terdiri dari tiga pertemuan. Instrumen penelitian terdiri dari perangkat pembelajaran yang berisi Alur Tujuan Pembelajaran (ATP) dan Modul Ajar. Instrumen pengumpulan data berupa lembar pengamatan aktivitas guru dan peserta didik, serta lembar tes KPMM. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan yaitu teknik pengamatan dan tes. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa implementasi model PBL dapat memperbaiki proses pembelajaran dan dapat meningkatkan KPMM peserta didik kelas VIII-1 SMP Taruna Sakti Pekanbaru. Peningkatan KPMM peserta didik dapat dilihat dari analisis KPMM secara klasikal. Pada rata-rata nilai kemampuan awal KPMM peserta didik sebelum tindakan adalah 39,76. Rata-rata nilai KPMM peserta didik pada siklus I adalah 61,12. Rata-rata nilai KPMM peserta didik pada siklus II adalah 75,06. Rata-rata nilai KPMM peserta didik pada siklus I 21,36 lebih tinggi dari rata-rata nilai tes awal. Sedangkan rata-rata KPMM peserta didik pada siklus II 13,94 lebih tinggi dari rata-rata nilai siklus I. Kesimpulan dari penelitian ini adalah bahwa penerapan model PBL dapat memperbaiki proses pembelajaran dan dapat meningkatkan kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematis peserta didik kelas VIII-1 SMP Taruna Sakti Pekanbaru semester ganjil tahun pelajaran 2024/2025 pada konten Sistem Persamaan Linear Dua Variabel (SPLDV).

Abstract

This research aims to develop a mathematics module based on Problem-Based Learning (PBL) for straight-line equation material, designed to enhance students' mathematical problem-solving skills at SMP Negeri 1 Pasir Penyu. The study employed a Research and Development approach, utilizing a 4-D development model that includes the stages of Define, Design, Develop, and Disseminate. The subjects were eighth-grade students at SMP Negeri 1 Pasir Penyu. Data collection instruments included validation sheets to evaluate the module's validity and student response questionnaires to assess its practicality. The module was tested in two phases: a small group trial and a large group trial. Results from the small group trial indicated that the module achieved an average score of 3.66, categorizing it as highly practical. Similarly, the large group trial yielded an average score of 3.57, also placing the module in the very practical category.

Abstract

This study aimed to develop a student worksheet on the Pythagorean Theorem utilizing the Realistic Mathematics Education (RME) approach, designed to meet validity and practicality standards to enhance the mathematical connection abilities of 8th-grade students. The research adopted the 4D development model, which includes the stages of Define, Design, Develop, and Disseminate. To ensure the validity of the student worksheet, three experts conducted a comprehensive validation process. Feasibility data were collected through trials involving 8th-grade students. The validation results indicated a score of 90.77%, categorized as "very valid." Small group trials yielded a practicality score of 89.98%, categorized as "very practical." Furthermore, large-scale trials demonstrated an average score of 89.29%, also categorized as "very practical." These findings highlight the effectiveness of the RME approach in facilitating students' mathematical connection abilities through the Pythagorean Theorem material. The developed student worksheet was proven to be valid, practical, and highly beneficial for supporting the development of mathematical connections among 8th-grade students.

Abstract

This research addresses the low level of mathematical problem-solving ability among eighth-grade students of MTs PP Nurul Islam Kampung Baru, class VIII.1. The study aims to enhance the learning process and improve students' mathematical problem-solving skills through the application of the problem-based learning model. Conducted as Classroom Action Research, the study was carried out in two cycles, each comprising the stages of planning, implementation, observation, and reflection. The research involved 30 students from class VIII.1 as participants. Data collection was performed using observation and mathematical problem-solving tests. The findings revealed an improvement in students' problem-solving abilities, with average scores increasing from 26.5 in the initial test to 52.33 in the first cycle and 65.5 in the second cycle. These results demonstrate that implementing the problem-based learning model effectively enhances both the learning process and students' mathematical problem-solving skills at MTs PP Nurul Islam Kampung Baru.

Abstract

Developing the ability of absolute thinking is needed inmathematic class where the subject has a characteristic as a branch ofscience which the object of study is abstract-natured and related with apattern of thinking. Basic mathematics is one of the courses that can developstudent’s ability to think. The results acquired by the students are still notmaximized; this is because the students struggle to develop their ownknowledge to form concepts. Student’s activities in the learning process areonly skill-natured in solving problems. One of the learning methods that canbe implemented is the Modified Moore method. This research aims todiscover the effects of mathematical thinking capabilities with the ModifiedMoore Method towards the learning achievement of Basic Mathematic II ofChemistry study program from the FKIP of Universitas Riau in the evensemester of 2013/2014 academic year. The form of this research is a quasiexperimentalresearch. The experiment design used in this research is theSingle Group Pretest/Posttest Design which includes Quasi ExperimentalDesign without control group. The population in this research is the studentsof Chemistry  study program from the FKIP of Universitas Riau in the evensemester of 2013/2014 academic year. The sample of this research is allstudents of Chemistry study program from the FKIP of Universitas Riau  inthe even  semester of 2013/2014 academic year consisting 36 peoples. Thesample is obtained through purposive sampling technique. Based on dataanalysis using t test on mathematical thinking capabilities by applyingmodified Moore Method, it was found that  students scores during post testis better than pre-test. The influences of mathematical thinking capabilitieswith modified Moore Method of the results learning mathematics basic IIChemistry Education in second semester academic year 2013/2014 is equalto 98,85%. It can be concluded that there is an influence on the mathematicalthinking capabilities by applying Modified Moore Method towards thestudents learning achievement of Basic Mathematic II of Chemistry studyprogram from the FKIP of Universitas Riau in the even semester of2013/2014 academic year.

Abstract

The research was based on low mathematical problem solving abilities of students in class VIIIB SMP IT Al Fityah Pekanbaru. The number of students who achieved the maximum score before action in each indicators were 56% - 60%, 0%, 64%, and 32% - 72%. The purpose of this research was to improve learning process and increase students’ mathematical problem solving abilities. The research was carried out in 2 cycles by applying a problem-based learning model in relation and function material that consist of planning, action, observation and reflection. The aim is to improve the learning process and increase students' mathematical problem solving abilities. The data collection techniques used are observation techniques and KPMM test techniques. The number of students who achieved the maximum score after cycle I and cycle II there are 72%-76% and 84%-92% in understanding problems, 44%-48% and 76%-92% in planning problem solving, 40 %-80% and 48%-76% in implementing the completion plan, 28%-60% and 40%-72% in interpreting the results obtained. Based on the results, it can be concluded that the PBL model is a learning model that can be applied effectively in increasing students' KPMM.

Abstract

In conveying the concept of mathematics in a concrete manner so that it is easily accepted by participants in the mentally retarded education, tools/media are needed. One of the media developed in this study for mentally retarded students is Ceker media and space building media. This study aims to produce Ceker learning media on number material and spatial shapes on blocks and cubes for mild mental retardation students at SMPLB Pekanbaru that meet valid and practical criteria. The research method used is the Borg and Gall development model. Collecting validation data for the addition and subtraction of integer operation materials was carried out by providing validation sheets to three experts. Practical data collection was carried out by distributing questionnaires to SMPLB mental retardation students using a Likert scale . The learning media of Ceker and building spaces that have been validated by 3 validators are very valid with a percentage of 93,3. The development of learning media for Ceker cards and building space for mild mentally retarded students has met the very practical criteria with a percentage of 100%. Based on the results of the research and discussion, it was concluded that the learning media of Ceker and building spaces (blocks and cubes) for mild mental retardation students at SMPLB have met the criteria of being very valid and very practical.

Abstract

Permasalahan dalam penelitian ini adalah tingkat kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematis (KPMM) peserta didik rendah, sedangkan KPMM penting dikuasai peserta didik dalam belajar matematika. Maka sebab itu, tujuan pelaksanaan penelitian ini adalah  menghasilkan perangkat pembelajaran pada materi sistem persamaan linear dua variabel untuk memfasilitasi KPMM peserta didik kelas VIII SMP. Dalam uji coba penelitian melibatkan subjek dengan total 9 orang peserta didik SMPN 1 Gunung Sahilan kelas VIII A. Dalam pengumpulan data, instrumen yang dibutuhkan terbagi atas instrumen kevalidan dan instrumen kepraktisan dengan memanfaatkan teknik wawancara, observasi, uji kevalidan perangkat pembelajaran dan uji coba LKPD. Hasil penelitian ditemukan bahwa perangkat pembelajaran tergolong sangat valid dengan rataan silabus yaitu 3,91; rataan RPP yaitu 3,89; dan rataan LKPD 3,70. Sementara itu, LKPD juga tergolong sangat praktis dalam uji coba kelompok kecil dengan rataan 3,84 dan dalam uji coba kelompok besar dengan rataan 3,73. Dengan demikian, LKPD yang dihasilkan sudah mencapai persyaratan valid dan praktis.
