Abstract

Fistula rektovestibular merupakan salah satu jenis malformasi anorektal pada perempuan dimana terjadi kegagalan pemisahan antara septum urorektal hingga kloaka. Penatalaksanaan pada fistula jenis ini diantaranya tindakan kolostomi. Tindakan kolostomi menimbulkan rasa nyeri pada anak. Tujuan dari studi kasus ini adalah untuk mengidentifikasi efektivitas intervensi terapi bermain dengan menceritakan dongeng terhadap nyeri post kolostomi yang dirasakan anak. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode case report. Subjek dalam penelitian adalah pasien An. R (perempuan) usia 3 tahun 4 bulan dengan diagnosis medis fistula rektovestibular. Pengukuran skala nyeri dilakukan menggunakan skala Wong Baker Faces Pain Scale (skala 0-10). Hasil studi kasus ini menunjukkan skala nyeri post kolostomi pada pasien sebelum diberikan intervensi sebesar 9 (0-10) dan turun menjadi skala 4 (0-10) setelah diberikan intervensi terapi bermain dengan menceritakan dongeng selama 3 kali pertemuan. Kesimpulan studi kasus ini intervensi terapi bermain dengan menceritakan dongeng atau cerita khayalan terhadap nyeri akut post kolostomi pada pasien anak dengan fistula rektovestibular efektif untuk menurunkan nyeri. Diperlukan penelitian lebih lanjut dengan menentukan terlebih dahulu cerita-cerita atau dongeng yang mampu mengubah nilai emosional anak sehingga mampu mempengaruhi fisiologis tubuh anak terhadap penurunan rasa nyeri pada anak.

Abstract

Hemiparesis is a condition of weakness on one side of the body or the inability to move a limb on one side caused by stroke, head trauma, cerebral palsy and brain tumors. Weakness is a loss of muscle strength that can significantly reduce the ability to carry out daily activities. Hemiparesis, if not treated immediately, can cause permanent disability. One intervention that can be used to prevent muscle stiffness and increase muscle strength is Range of Motion (ROM) training. This study aims to evaluate the effectiveness of providing ROM intervention in cases of Space Occupying Lesion in children who experience hemiparesis. The method used is a case study design with a five process approach to nursing care starting from assessment, diagnosis, intervention planning, implementation and evaluation. The location of the case study was carried out in the Kemuning Room at RSUP Dr. Hasan Sadikin Bandung. The case obtained was an 11 year old girl being treated in the Kemuning Room at RSUP Dr. Hasan Sadikin Bandung since October 19 2020. The interventions provided are active ROM exercises on extremities that do not experience hemiparesis and passive ROM exercises on extremities that experience hemiparesis, for five days starting 26 October 2023 - 31 October 2023 with a duration of 20-25 minutes in the morning and afternoon. The results of the study showed that there was a significant increase in muscle strength on the third day of intervention, namely that the lower extremities experienced an increase, whereas before the intervention, 2/5 of the patient's muscle strength had movement but could not withstand gravity, up to 3/5, that is, there is movement with a full range of motion and is able to fight. gravity, and on the fourth and fifth days there was an increase in upper extremity muscle strength, namely from 2/5 to 3/5. In conclusion, ROM exercise intervention is effective and can be applied to children who experience hemiparesis.

Abstract

Aims: This research aimed to explore articles regarding physical exercise for children undergoing cancer treatment. Method: The research method used is scoping review. The process of doing a scoping review involves several steps, including developing research questions, establishing criteria for inclusion, a comprehensive search strategy, literature screening and selection, organizing data, and compiling, summarizing, and presenting the findings. The inclusion criteria encompassed full-text papers, namely randomized controlled trials or quasi-experimental research, published in English during the past decade (2014–2023). Pubmed, CINAHL, Scopus, and Proquest are used as search engines and database searches. Selected articles were extracted into charting data, analyzed with descriptive approaches, and the results reported. Results: The results found 14 articles, which were then categorized into three physical exercise programs, such as integrated physical exercise, technology-based physical exercise, and multimodal exercise. Outcomes obtained are cardiorespiratory fitness, motor performance, cancer-related fatigue, and quality of life. Conclusion: The side effects of cancer treatment in children may be mitigated through the implementation of physical exercise programs. This scoping review can be a consideration for optimizing pediatric nursing services by adding physical exercise interventions to the rehabilitation protocol as a supportive treatment for children who are currently undergoing cancer treatment.

Abstract

Currently, violence against children has increased significantly, including sexual violence. Sexual violence can cause psychological, physical and social disorders. This case, if not handled immediately, will undoubtedly have a broad impact on children. So, it is necessary to prevent sexual violence in children early on. This health education activity aims to teach children aged 6-12 years about sexual violence and how to prevent it. The health education method is carried out with lectures, discussions, and questions and answers using teaching video media regarding the prevention of sexual violence in children. This activity was carried out during the COVID-19 pandemic, so it was done online through the Zoom Meeting platform. The activity was held on Sunday, October 24, 2021, by 54 children aged 6-12 years whom their parents accompanied from various regions in Indonesia. The activity increased children's knowledge about sexual violence and how to prevent it. The assessment was carried out using pre-test and post-test questionnaires via Google Forms. The pre-test results showed that most children (63%) had good knowledge, and the post-test showed that all children had good knowledge (100%). The results showed that health education effectively increased children's knowledge (p-value = 0.000). Thus, there needs to be an effort from the school in collaboration with health workers, especially nurses, to increase health education programs in schools, especially elementary schools, regarding preventing sexual violence in children.

Abstract

Thalassemia is one of the most common hemoglobinopathic disorders found worldwide. About 80% of thalassemia cases occur in low- or middle-income countries in the tropical belt, stretching from sub-Saharan Africa through the Mediterranean region and the Middle East to South and Southeast Asia, including Indonesia. Patients with thalassemia, especially in children, require routine and continuous treatment, which certainly requires support from nurses and families, especially parents as caregivers. With optimal support, it is expected to positively impact emotional well-being and the quality of life of patients and families. This study aimed to determine the collaboration of nurse support and family support that can be provided in providing care for children with β-thalassemia major. This research uses a case study approach in the field. Case studies are organized using the nursing process, including assessment, data analysis, intervention, implementation, evaluation, and nursing documentation. The subject of this case study is a patient with β-thalassemia major in one of the hospitals in Bandung. The case study was conducted for 11 days. A 9-year-old patient was admitted to the hospital with complaints of an enlarged abdomen and weight loss of 2 kg in the last two weeks. The patient has been diagnosed with β-thalassemia major since the age of 7, receives regular blood transfusions every two weeks, and takes oral iron chelation regularly. The family plays a vital role in managing β-thalassemia by adhering to all planned and recommended therapy regimens to overcome and prevent complications. Providing comprehensive bio-psychospiritual nursing interventions in collaboration with family support can improve a patient's quality of life with thalassemia because the welfare status of the family becomes the foundation of the child's quality of life. Nursing implications given to patients and families can reduce symptoms and support families with children suffering from thalassemia.

Abstract

Peran aktif ibu merupakan faktor penting dalam stimulasi perkembangan anak toddler. Namun pada era modern ini, banyak ibu yang bekerja, sehingga peran ibu dalam stimulasi perkembangan anak terhambat. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui gambaran stimulasi perkembangan anak toddler oleh ibu bekerja dan ibu tidak bekerja di Desa Rancaekek Wetan Kabupaten Bandung. Metode penelitian berupa deskriptif kuantitatif dengan pendekatan cross sectional. Teknik sampling yang digunakan adalah simple random sampling dengan jumlah sampel 88 responden. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan kuesioner. Analisis data menggunakan analisis statistik deskriptif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan dari 36 ibu bekerja 44,4% melakukan stimulasi perkembangan baik dan 55,6% kurang. Sedangkan dari 52 ibu tidak bekerja 59,6% melakukan stimulasi perkembangan baik dan 40,4% kurang. Bagi ibu yang bekerja dan tidak bekerja harus menyempatkan waktu untuk melakukan stimulasi perkembangan anak dan bagi perawat komunitas bersama kader posyandu diharapkan dapat melakukan pendidikan kesehatan yang berkesinambungan untuk meningkatkan upaya ibu menstimulasi perkembangan anak

Abstract

ABSTRACT Caring is the basis of nursing care. Caring behaviour based on emotional intelligence can enhance the quality of health services and support the provision of nursing services according to the client's expectations. This study aimed to determine the level of emotional intelligence of clinical nursing students in the Faculty of Nursing, Universitas Padjadjaran (Unpad). This study used a quantitative descriptive method. The research population was students of the Nursing Profession Program, Faculty of Nursing Unpad batch 42 and 43 (N=193). The sampling technique used total sampling in the form of an online survey using Google Forms with a response rate of 81.3%. The instrument used the Trait Emotional Intelligence Questionnaire-Short Form (TEIQue-SF), translated into Indonesian by Febriana dan Fajrianthi (2021). Data were analyzed using univariate descriptive analysis presented with a frequency distribution table. The findings of this study are significant, revealing that most clinical nursing students demonstrate moderate (60.5%) to high (39.5%) levels of emotional intelligence, with no students falling into the low category. Specifically, students exhibit moderate emotional intelligence, well-being, self-control, sociability, and emotionality. It suggests that students possess a solid foundation of emotional intelligence, which can be further enhanced through education, such as training, activities, or positive experiences. The research concludes that clinical nursing students in the Faculty of Nursing Unpad have medium and high levels of emotional intelligence. This research can be a reference for further researchers to develop research on other factors affecting students' emotional intelligence. Keywords: Academic Stress, Clinical Nursing Student, Emotional Intelligence.  ABSTRAK Caring merupakan dasar melakukan asuhan keperawatan. Perilaku caring yang didasari kecerdasan emosional dapat meningkatkan kualitas pelayanan kesehatan dan mendukung pemberian pelayanan keperawatan sesuai harapan klien.  Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui tingkat kecerdasan emosional mahasiswa Program Profesi Ners Fakultas Keperawatan Universitas Padjadjaran (Unpad). Penelitian ini menggunakan metode deskriptif kuantitatif. Populasi penelitian adalah mahasiswa Program Profesi Ners Fakultas Keperawatan Unpad angkatan 42 dan 43 (N=193). Teknik sampling menggunakan total sampling berupa survei online menggunakan Google Form dengan response rate 81,3% yaitu sebanyak 157 mahasiswa. Instrumen menggunakan Trait Emotional Intelligence Questionnaire-Short Form (TEIQue-SF) yang dialihbahasakan dalam bahasa Indonesia oleh Febriana dan Fajrianthi (2021). Data dianalisis menggunakan analisis deskriptif univariat yang disajikan dalam bentuk tabel distribusi frekuensi. Hasil penelitian menunjukan sebagian besar mahasiswa memiliki tingkat kecerdasan emosional pada kategori sedang (60,5%), kategori tinggi (39,5%), dan tidak terdapat mahasiswa yang memiliki kecerdasan emosional rendah. Mahasiswa secara umum memiliki dimensi kecerdasan emosional well-being, self-control, sociability, dan emotionality pada kategori sedang. Artinya mahasiswa memiliki kecerdasan emosional yang cukup baik dan bisa dioptimalkan lagi karena pada dasarnya kecerdasan emosional dapat berkembang dan dibentuk melalui pendidikan, baik berupa pelatihan, kegiatan atau pengalaman yang positif. Kesimpulan penelitian adalah secara umum mahasiswa Program Profesi Ners Fakultas Keperawatan Unpad memiliki tingkat kecerdasan emosional sedang dan tinggi. Penelitian ini diharapkan dapat menjadi referensi bagi peneliti selanjutnya untuk mengembangkan penelitian mengenai faktor lain yang dapat berpengaruh pada kecerdasan emosional mahasiswa. Kata Kunci: Kecerdasan Emosional, Mahasiswa Profesi Ners, Stres Akademik.

Abstract

Di Indonesia, penyakit infeksi saluran pernapasan akut (ISPA) menjadi fokus program kesehatan terutama pneumonia karena merupakan penyebab utama mortalitas anak balita di Indonesia. Maka dari itu, mengoptimalkan peran kader kesehatan dapat membantu masyarakat untuk dapat melakukan perawatan ISPA dengan benar serta mendeteksi adanya tanda bahaya dari ISPA tersebut seperti pneumonia. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengidentifikasi pengaruh metode ceramah dan demonstrasi terhadap pengetahuan kader kesehatan mengenai perawatan ISPA dan deteksi dini pneumonia pada anak. Penelitian ini menggunakan desain penelitian pre-eksperimental dengan one group pretest-posttest. Responden pada penelitian ini sebanyak 39 kader kesehatan, dengan intervensi yang dilakukan adalah pelatihan pada kader kesehatan mengenai perawatan ISPA dan deteksi dini pneumonia pada anak dengan menggunakan metode ceramah serta demonstrasi. Hasil penelitian didapatkan sebelum dilakukan intervensi pengetahuan kader kesehatan menunjukkan 44,4% responden memiliki pengetahuan yang cukup dan sebagian besar responden 55,6% responden memiliki pengetahuan yang kurang. Setelah dilakukan intervensi pengetahuan kader kesehatan menunjukkan sebagian besar 77,8% responden memiliki pengetahuan yang baik dan hanya 22,2% responden yang memiliki pengetahuan yang cukup. Hasil Uji dengan Wilcoxon didapatkan pengaruh yang signifikan dari metode ceramah dan demonstrasi terhadap pengetahuan kader kesehatan mengenai perawatan ISPA dan deteksi dini pneumonia pada anak (p = 0.000). Implikasi dari penelitian ini adalah metode ceramah yang dikombinasikan dengan demonstrasi terbukti efektif untuk meningkatkan pengetahuan para akder kesehatan, maka dari itu metode pada intervensi ini dapat digunakan dalam memberikan pelatihan kepada para kader kesehatan.
