Abstract

This study aims to develop an interactive media based on Culturally Responsive Teaching (CRT) to enhance the socio-emotional skills and learning motivation of elementary school students. The research follows the Research and Development (R&D) method using the ADDIE model (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, Evaluation) and involves 42 students, divided into an experimental group and a control group. The instruments utilized include questionnaires, interviews, and tests. The data analysis technique in this study applies validity analysis and effectiveness analysis, measured using the N-Gain Score. The findings indicate that interactive media based on Culturally Responsive Teaching (CRT) has proven to be effective in improving elementary students’ socio-emotional skills and learning motivation, as evidenced by comprehensive N-Gain Score data. The experimental class achieved an average N-Gain Score of 0.74, whereas the control class recorded 0.29, demonstrating a high level of success in the implementation of this media. The CRT-based interactive media successfully transformed the concept of regional diversity from an abstract idea into a concrete and meaningful learning experience for students, thereby increasing their active engagement in the learning process.

Abstract

This research aims to describe and analyze the numeracy literacy abilities of junior high school students in solving AKM model questions on number content. The type of research used in this research is descriptive qualitative research. The research subjects studied were 36 students in class VII-G of SMP Negeri 7 Serang City who had received material on whole numbers and fractions. The research instrument used was the AKM model questions consisting of three descriptive questions which had been adjusted to the numeracy literacy indicators. The written test results were analyzed based on numeracy literacy indicators and then strengthened by the results of student interviews. The research results show that students' numeracy literacy skills in solving AKM model questions on number content are still not good. Because students are unable to meet the three numeracy literacy indicators. Students' numeracy literacy abilities are predominantly in the medium category. In solving AKM model questions on number content, students with high and moderate abilities experienced calculation errors in the results of addition, subtraction, multiplication and division. Students with low abilities have difficulty determining solution strategies and understanding the concept of arithmetic operations of addition, subtraction, multiplication and division on whole numbers and fractions as well as in calculating discounts.

Abstract

Berdasarkan tujuan mata pelajaran matematika, salah satu poin penting yang harus dikuasai oleh peserta didik yaitu kemampuan pemecahan masalah, namun selama masa pandemi Covid-19, SMKN 3 Pandeglang menerapkan pembelajaran daring sesuai dengan surat edaran yang dikeluarkan pemerintah yaitu belajar dari rumah. Oleh sebab itu, tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematis siswa SMKN 3 Pandeglang pada pembelajaran daring. Jenis penelitian ini menggunakan Kualitatif Deskriptif. Subjek dalam penelitian ini yaitu siswa kelas XI TKJ 1 SMKN 3 Pandeglang. Pengambilan subjek pada penelitian ini menggunakan purposive sampling dari nilai tes kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematika sebanyak 3 subjek yaitu subjek dengan kemampuan pemecahan masalah tinggi, sedang dan rendah. Teknik pengumpulan data berdasarkan tes, angket, dan wawancara. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa 26,66% siswa memiliki kemampuan pemecahan masalah tinggi, 30% siswa memiliki kemampuan pemecahan masalah sedang, dan 43,33% siswa memiliki kemampuan pemecahan masalah rendah. Hasil angket dengan rata-rata nilai sebesar 59,46% menunjukkan respon siswa kurang positif terhadap pembelajaran daring. Berdasarkan hasil wawancara, siswa dengan kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematis rendah tidak memiliki minat dan ketertarikan terhadap pembejaran daring sehingga siswa kurang mampu untuk memecahkan sebuah masalah matematis

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan germane cognitive load (GCL) siswa ditinjau dari gaya belajar matematis siswa dengan metode kontekstual di smk. Jenis penelitian ini adalah kualitatif deskriptif. Subjek penelitian terdiri dari siswa yang bergaya belajar interpersonal, mastery, understanding, dan self-expressive. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa: (1) struktur skema pada siswa dengan gaya belajar interpersonal ini sesuai dengan struktur materi yang akan dipelajari, maka pada siswainterpersonal terjadi proses asimilasi (2) sebagian struktur skema pada siswa dengan gaya belajar mastery ini tidak sesuai dengan struktur materi yang akan dipelajari, ini menyebabkan terjadinya proses akomodasi (3) pada siswa understanding proses konstruksi pengetahuannnya di LTM dalam memahami soal kontekstual tidak bekerja dengan maksimum, hal ini disebabkan karena modifikasi struktur kognitif yang dimilki sebelumnya. (4) dan struktur skema pada siswa self-expressive tidak sesuai antara skema lama dengan skema baru, ini menyebabkan skema lama tidak dapat menyerap skema baru sehingga pada self-expressive terjadi proses akomodasi skema.

Abstract

Abstrak Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan instrumen tes yang valid dan reliabel untuk mengukur kemampuan berpikir kritis matematis siswa SMA pada materi SPLTV dalam konteks personal. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode Research and Development (R&D) dengan model ADDIE yang meliputi tahap analisis, desain, pengembangan, implementasi dan evaluasi. Instrumen tes dikembangkan dan divalidasi oleh ahli dan diujicobakan pada 34 siswa kelas X MAN 1 Kota Cilegon. Hasil uji coba menunjukkan bahwa seluruh butir soal memiliki validitas tinggi (0,79 – 0,93), nilai reliabilitas , tingkat kesukaran sedang (0,33 – 0,60), serta daya pembeda yang bervariasi dari cukup hingga baik. The study employed a Research and Development (R&D) method using the ADDIE model, which includes the stages of analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation. The instrumen test was developed and validated by experts and tested on 34 tenth-grade students at MAN 1 Kota Cilegon. The trial results showed that all test items had high validity (0.79 – 0.93), a reliability score (α = 0.85), moderate difficulty level (0.33 – 0.60), and discriminating power ranging from fair to good.  Keywords: Instrumen test, Critical Thinking, SPLTV

Abstract

This study aims to develop a valid and reliable essay test instrument to assess mathematical conceptual understanding in ninth-grade junior high school students, focusing on similarity and congruence. Employing a modified 4D model (Define, Design, Develop, Disseminate), the research involved designing a test blueprint based on seven conceptual understanding indicators, expert validation using the Content Validity Ratio (CVR), and field testing to evaluate construct validity, reliability, item difficulty, and discrimination indices. The results indicated that all test items were valid, achieved a high reliability coefficient (α = 0.83), and exhibited varied difficulty and discrimination levels meeting established criteria. Consequently, this instrument is capable of comprehensively measuring students' conceptual understanding and serves as an effective assessment tool in mathematics education. Abstract

This development research was motivated by students' low numeracy skills and the limited use of contextual teaching materials that integrate local wisdom in mathematics learning. This is evidenced by Indonesia's mathematics score in PISA 2022, which reached only 366, far below the OECD average of 472. Therefore, this study aimed to develop interactive e-modules based on the local wisdom of the Baduy tribe that are feasible, practical, and effective in improving students' numeracy skills in statistics. One of the contributing factors to low numeracy skills is the limited use of contextual and technology-based teaching materials, as well as learning approaches that have not fully emphasized Higher Order Thinking Skills (HOTS) and authentic problem-solving contexts. Therefore, integrating local wisdom and interactive digital media into teaching materials can be a relevant strategy to enhance students' numeracy skills. This study employed a Research and Development (R&D) approach using the ADDIE model. Data were collected through questionnaires and numeracy tests administered in the form of pretests and posttests based on AKM-type questions. Validation results from media, material, and education experts were all categorized as very feasible, while teacher and student responses were categorized as very practical. The effectiveness test using the N-gain score yielded 0.81, indicating high effectiveness. The integration of contextual cultural content, interactive features, and data visualization in the e-module can support students in understanding statistical concepts and solving real-world problems. Therefore, the developed product can serve as an alternative contextual digital learning resource to support numeracy-oriented mathematics learning in secondary schools. Penelitian pengembangan ini melatar belakangi pada rendahnya kemampuan numerasi peserta didik dan terbatasnya penggunaan bahan ajar kontekstual yang mengintegrasikan kearifan lokal dalam pembelajaran matematika. Hal ini dibuktikan dengan skor matematika Indonesia pada PISA 2022 yang hanya mencapai 366, jauh di bawah rata-rata OECD sebesar 472. Oleh karena itu, penelitian ini tujuannya untuk memberi pengembangan e-modul interaktif berbasis kearifan lokal suku Baduy yang layak, praktis, dan efektif dalam meningkatkan kemampuan numerasi peserta didik pada materi statistika. Suatu faktor penyebab rendahnya kemampuan numerasi adalah terbatasnya penggunaan bahan ajar kontekstual berbasis teknologi, serta pendekatan pembelajaran yang belum sepenuhnya menekankan pada Higher Order Thinking Skills (HOTS) dan konteks pemecahan masalah autentik. Oleh karena itu, pengintegrasian kearifan lokal dan media digital interaktif ke dalam bahan ajar dapat menjadi strategi yang relevan untuk meningkatkan kemampuan numerasi peserta didik. Penelitian ini memakai suatu pendekatan Research and Development (R&D) dengan model ADDIE. Data dikumpul kan pada angket dan tes numerasi yang diberikan dalam bentuk pretest dan posttest berbasis soal tipe AKM. Hasil validasi dari ahli media, ahli materi, dan ahli pendidikan seluruhnya berkategori sangat layak, sementara respons guru dan peserta didik berkategori sangat praktis. Uji efektivitas menggunakan skor N-gain menghasilkan nilai 0,81 yang termasuk dalam kriteria tinggi. Pengintegrasian konten budaya kontekstual, fitur interaktif, dan visualisasi data dalam e-modul dapat membantu peserta didik dalam memahami konsep statistika dan menyelesaikan masalah kehidupan nyata. Dengan demikian, produk yang dikembangkan dapat dijadikan alternatif sumber belajar digital kontekstual untuk mendukung pembelajaran matematika berorientasi numerasi di sekolah menengah..

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan menganalisis jenis kesalahan matematis siswa dalam menyelesaikan soal literasi matematis berbasis budaya Banten pada materi aljabar dengan menggunakan Newman Error Analysis, serta memberikan Scaffolding yang sesuai untuk membantu perbaikan kesalahan tersebut. Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh permasalahan rendahnya kemampuan siswa dalam menyelesaikan soal literasi matematis yang kontekstual. Pendekatan yang digunakan adalah kualitatif dengan metode studi kasus. Subjek penelitian adalah 36 siswa kelas VIII SMP Al-Wildan Islamic School 7 Serang. Data dikumpulkan melalui tes literasi matematis dan wawancara mendalam terhadap siswa yang melakukan kesalahan terhadap dua subjek untuk masing-masing jenis kesalahan menggunakan metode perbandingan tetap. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kesalahan transformasi dan kesalahan dalam penulisan jawaban akhir merupakan jenis kesalahan yang paling dominan. Scaffolding yang diberikan secara bertahap melalui identifikasi kata kunci, penyusunan model matematika, dan pemeriksaan jawaban terbukti efektif dalam membantu siswa. Penelitian ini menegaskan pentingnya kemampuan guru dalam menganalisis kesalahan siswa secara tepat dan memberikan Scaffolding yang adaptif agar tujuan pembelajaran literasi matematis tercapai secara optimal.

Abstract

The objective of this study is to determine the effect of implementing the scientific method on students’ conceptual understanding and learning independence in mathematics. This study employs a quantitative approach with a quasi-experimental design. Using purposive sampling, the sample consisted of 78 students from Grade XI of SMK Negeri 2 Pandeglang majoring in Laboratory Management Analysis (APL), with 36 students in the experimental class and 32 students in the control class. The instruments used in this study were written tests and questionnaires. Data analysis techniques included ANOVA (Analysis of Variance) and MANOVA (Multivariate Analysis of Variance). The results showed that students who were taught using the scientific method had significantly higher conceptual understanding and learning independence (p < 0.05), with a very large effect size (d ≥ 2.00), compared to students who were taught using conventional methods.

Abstract

Science learning in elementary schools still faces challenges because ecosystem concepts are abstract and difficult for students at the concrete operational stage to understand. This study aimed to develop environment-based interactive learning media using the Genially platform and examine its effectiveness in improving students’ understanding of ecosystem concepts. This research employed a Research and Development (R&D) method using the ADDIE model, including analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation stages. The development phase resulted in interactive media integrating visual illustrations, animations, ecosystem simulations, and gamified quizzes. The product was validated by subject matter experts and media experts, obtaining scores of 92% and 93%, respectively, categorized as very suitable. The trial was conducted using a purposive sampling technique with 31 fifth-grade students at Pasar Bunder Elementary School, Cilegon City. Data were analyzed using descriptive statistics and the N-Gain test. The results showed that the average score increased from 50 (pretest) to 86 (posttest), with an N-Gain value of 0.72 (high category). In conclusion, the developed Genially-based learning media is effective in improving students’ understanding of ecosystem concepts through interactive and visual representations of environmental contexts.
