Abstract

Many students struggle to understand length measurement, especially when solving real-life story problems. This reflects weak mathematical connection skills. Furthermore, students’ reluctance to collaborate with peers indicates a low cooperative learning profile. To address this issue, this study examines the impact of the Team Games Tournament (TGT) cooperative learning model, supported by the traditional game gatrik, on students’ mathematical connection skills and cooperation profile. A sequential explanatory mixed-method approach was used. Data were collected through tests, questionnaires, observations, and interviews. Quantitative data were analyzed using t-tests, while qualitative data were examined using Miles and Huberman’s interactive model, combined with Yin’s time series analysis. The results show that the TGT model with gatrik significantly improves both mathematical connection skills and cooperative behavior. This study provides insights for teachers to strengthen students’ mathematical and social competencies and serves as a reference for future research on cooperative learning and contextual media in education.

Abstract

This study analyzed the requirements for a digital system to evaluate microskill achievement within the MBKM program at universities. A descriptive research method was employed, utilizing a Likert-scale-based questionnaire completed by 132 respondents, consisting of 66 students and 66 lecturers from six universities. The sample size was determined through Power Analysis with an effect size parameter (f) of 0,4. The findings reveal that the conventional evaluation system faces challenges, including unclear assessment standards, difficulties in converting microskills to credit point, and time-consuming processes. Both students and lecturers express the need for a digital system that is more transparent, efficient, and capable of enabling real-time monitoring and feedback. These findings form the basis for designing a more effective microskill evaluation system.

Abstract

This study focused on teacher productivity in Tangerang city public primary schools. Teachers face challenges such as administrative duties and changing curriculum. The research aimed to examine how principal supervision, teacher competence, and work environment affect elementary school teacher productivity in Tangerang city, Indonesia. The study used a quantitative descriptive literature review method. It analyzes 28 scientific articles. The results show that teacher competence has the highest impact on productivity. Academic supervision also influences productivity significantly. The work environment has a lesser, but important, effect. Managing these factors together can improve teacher performance. The study suggests continuous professional development is needed. Principals should provide supportive supervision. A positive work environment helps maintain motivation. The findings guide teachers and principals in Tangerang. They also help education policymakers. The goal is to improve teacher productivity and student outcomes. These recommendations aim for sustainable education improvements.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji pengaruh model Problem-Based Learning (PBL) terhadap pemahaman konsep matematis siswa Sekolah Menengah Pertama. Metode yang digunakan adalah kuasi-eksperimen dengan desain pretest-posttest control group. Validitas dan reliabilitas instrumen diuji menggunakan korelasi item-total dan koefisien Cronbach's Alpha. Hasil uji menunjukkan nilai Cronbach’s Alpha sebesar 0,811 yang mengindikasikan konsistensi internal yang baik. Seluruh butir soal dinyatakan valid. Temuan penelitian menunjukkan bahwa Problem-Based Learning (PBL) efektif dalam meningkatkan pemahaman konsep matematis siswa.

Abstract

Masalah geometri merupakan salah satu permasalahan yang sulit bagi siswa, sehingga diperlukan kemampuan spasial matematis untuk menyelesaikan permasalahan ini. Penelitian ini menggunakan deskriptif kualitatif yang bertujuan untuk mengetahui sejauh mana kemampuan spasial matematis siswa SMK ditinjau dari tingkat berpikir Van Hiele. Subjek pada penelitian ini adalah 5 siswa kelas XI Akuntansi 1 yang mana sebelumnya dilakukan tes awal menggunakan Van Hiele Geometry test (VHGT) di semua siswa kelas tersebut lalu diambil perwakilan satu orang disetiap levelnya. Tidak hanya sebagai tes awal untuk pengambilan subjek, teori van hiele digunakan sebagai peninjau dalam penelitian ini. Temuan penelitian memiliki keberagaman jawaban siswa dalam menjawab soal. Siswa dengan level berpikir 0 (visualisasi) – 2 (pengurutan) cenderung melakukan kesalahan karena kemampuan spasial dan tingkat berpikir van hiele yang masih kurang, sedangkan siswa yang sudah mampu mencapai level berpikir 3 (dedukasi) dan 4 (akurasi) mampu mengerjakan tes kemampuan spasial dengan baik dan benar walau terkadang terdapat sedikit kesalahan dalam berhitung

Abstract

Penelitian ini terfokus pada peningkatan kualitas pembelajaran melalui perhatian terhadap beban kognitif siswa. Beban kognitif yang tinggi dapat menghambat proses belajar, sehingga menemukan cara untuk mengelola beban ini penting untuk memaksimalkan pemahaman konseptual dan kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematis siswa. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh pembelajaran dengan memperhatikan beban kognitif siswa dapat meningkatkan kemampuan pemahaman konseptual dan pemecahan masalah matematis. Desain penelitian ini menggunakan desain sequential explanatory, yang dimana peneliti mengumpulkan data berupa data kuantitatif terlebih dahulu, yang kemudian dianalisis. Setelah itu, dilakukan pengumpulan data kualitatif yang digunakan untuk menjelaskan hasil dari analisis data kuantitatif. Menggunakan Uji-t sebagai analisisis data kuantitatif dan Uji Miles Huberman sebagai analisis data kualitataif. Berdasarkan hasil analisis data, didapati bahwa kemampuan pemahaman konseptual matematis dan pemecahan masalah matematis siswa dengan pembelajaran memperhatikan beban kognitif lebih baik daripada kelas dengan pembelajaran pada umumnya. Pendidik disarankan agar dalam proses pembelajaran di kelas memperhatikan beban kognitif siswa. Hal ini bertujuan agar beban kognitif siswa tidak berlebihan sehingga mereka dapat memaksimalkan kemampuan dalam memahami konsep dan memecahkan masalah. Pendidik juga harus mempertimbangkan waktu pelaksanaan pembelajaran, karena metode ini membutuhkan waktu lebih banyak dibandingkan dengan pembelajaran konvensional.

Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi sebagian besar siswa menghadapi kesulitan dalam memahami masalah matematika. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui proses berpikir kritis siswa dengan kepribadian ekstrovert dan introvert dalam menyelesaikan masalah matematika. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode penelitian kualitatif dengan pendekatan deskriptif dengan instrument penelitian yaitu kuesioner, tes proses berpikir kritis, dan wawancara. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian, diperoleh kesimpulan bahwa: (1) S-01 dapat memenuhi 4 indikator proses berpikir kritis yaitu tahap klarifikasi, asesmen, inference, serta strategi dan taktik. (2) S-17 hanya dapat memenuhi 2 indikator proses berpikir kritis yaitu tahap klarifikasi dan tahap asesmen. (3) S-29 belum dapat memenuhi satupun indikator proses berpikir kritis. (4) S-02 dapat memenuhi 4 indikator proses berpikir kritis yaitu tahap klarifikasi, asesmen, inference, serta strategi dan taktik. (5) S-23 hanya dapat memenuhi 2 indikator proses berpikir kritis yaitu tahap klarifikasi dan tahap asesmen. (6) S-31 hanya dapat memenuhi satu indikator proses berpikir kritis yaitu tahap klarifikasi.

Abstract

This research is motivated by the fact that the level of conceptual understanding in Indonesia is still relatively low. The low level of conceptual understanding is related to how students manage and process the information received when they studying material, considering cognitive load. Learning with attention to cognitive load is believed to enhance students' mathematical conceptual understanding. The research aims to determine whether students' mathematical conceptual understanding with cognitive load-aware learning is better than students with conventional learning, both in terms of initial ability and not. The method used in this research is a mixed-method with a sequential explanatory design. Research instruments consist of test and non-test instruments. Data were obtained from initial ability tests and conceptual understanding as test instruments and questionnaires, interviews, and documentation as non-test instruments. The results show that students' mathematical conceptual understanding with cognitive load-aware learning is better than students with conventional learning, both in terms of initial ability and not. The conclusion of the research is that the treatments given to both classes overall have yielded quite positive results in students' mathematical conceptual understanding. However, the comparison between students who received cognitive load-aware learning and those who received conventional learning shows a significant difference.

Abstract

The erosion of regional languages is a problem that needs to be addressed by all groups, including families, educational institutions and the government. One of the ways the government has taken to overcome the erosion of the Cilegon Javanese language is by requiring the learning of Nalek (Cilegon Javanese) in elementary schools, but in fact the implementation of learning has not been optimal due to the lack of supporting media that can be used in Nalek learning. The aim of this research to develop the Wong Banten adventure comic media to increase literacy in Cilegon Javanese for class IV elementary schools in Cilegon. The research method used is the development research method with the ADDIE model which has five stages: Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluate. The data collection techniques and methods used in this research were interviews and questionnaires, while the data analysis used used descriptive qualitative and quantitative. The results of this development research were that the feasibility score from material experts was 98.64% in the very good category, media experts were 85% in the good category, language experts were 94.28% in the very good category, and student questionnaire responses were 79%. with good category. Based on these results, the Wong Banten adventure comic media can be said to be suitable for use by students in class IV elementary school Nalek learning in Cilegon. It is hope that the result of development of the Wong Banten adventure comic media can be disseminated and used as a medium for learning Cilegon Javanese in Cilegon.

Abstract

This research is motivated by the lack of development of teaching media that refers to regional culture, the learning activities and media used have not been able to foster students' motivation to hone critical thinking skills. This study intends to produce LKPD based on local cultural wisdom values of Serang city batik motifs in improving critical thinking skills.this from of research used the R&D (Research and Development) method with the ADDIE (Analyzer, design, Development, Implementation, Evaluation) model development design. Samples were taken using random sampling techniques to collect 33 samples. The research design used one group pretest and posttest. Data collection techniques were carried out by giving critical thinking ability tests, conducting teacher interviews, and student response questionnaires. Student' critical thinking abilities have increased with an N-Gain value of 0,56 which is included in the medium category. The conclusion is that the E-LKPD liveworksheet based on local wisdom can be used as an alternative learning media including an effort to improve students' critical thinking skills on the richness of Indonesian culture material.
