Abstract

Color is the conveyance of ideas and information from its users. Likewise, the life of the Malays in Sambas Regency cannot be separated from color. This canbe seen from their penchant for striking color combinations and the formation of unique color naming. The method used is descriptive in the form of qualitative research. Which aims to describe (1) the lingual unit of color markers and the cultural meaning of the concept of using color. The approach used is ethnolinguistics. The data source is in the form of lingual units from the speech of the Sambas Malay community. Collecting data using note-taking techniques and documentary studies, researchers as a data collection tool. The results showed thatthe Sambas Malay community recognized 9 color names, namely putteh 'white', ittam' black', red 'red', ijjau 'green', yellow 'yellow', brown 'chocolate', gray 'gray'and 2 non- basic colors are blue 'blue' and manganese 'purple'. 75 derivative colors were found with adjective, noun, and verb attributes from the nine colors. The most dominating attribute is the plant noun. Second, the cultural meaning of the concept of using color in the Sambas Malay community is divided into verbal and non-verbal domains. There are 4 colors used in the verbal domain, namely putteh 'white', ittam 'black', red 'red', and ijjau 'green'. Furthermore, there are 4 colors used in the nonverbal domain, including putteh 'white', ijjau 'green', yellow'yellow', and red 'red'.

Abstract

Language is a tool used by humans to communicate. Language is neverseparated from humans, and vice versa, customs are no exception.Even language is an object that connects the function and meaning ofthese customs. Now many young people don't care about customs,especially preserving traditional marriage ceremonies. Therefore,researchers examined the Dayak sawe marriage customs, commonlycalled Bejadi, so that the younger generation can see how unique andrich the culture and language used are. This study uses a descriptivemethod in the form of qualitative research, which aims to describe theresults of the form of the term Bejadi, the lexical, grammatical, andcultural meanings of Bejadi, as well as the implementation of theterminology of Bejadi in learning Indonesian at school. The datasource used in this study is the primary data source because it wasobtained through direct interviews with informants who are directlyrelated to the location of the object under study, namely in SekadauHulu District, Sekadau Regency. The source of the data obtained isfrom the bejadi event (traditional wedding ceremony) using the DayakSawe language. The results of this study were analyzed based on theirform so as to produce monomorphemic terminology, polymorphemic(affixations, suffixes, reduplications, and compound words), as well asphrases. From these data it can also generate the meanings that existin Bejadi, namely lexical meanings, grammatical meanings, andcultural meanings. Data acquisition was obtained based on theprocession, actors involved, tools, and materials at the event.

Abstract

This research was conducted by analyzing the Malay song Sambas by Bulyan Musthafa with the aim of knowing the forms of metaphor in the song and its relation to the environment in which it was formed. The method used in this study is a descriptive method with a qualitative research form. The data sources for this research are 14 songs by Bulyan Mustafa which are divided into two albums in two different YouTube channels. The data in this study are in the form of song lyrics that contain metaphorical forms. The research technique used is observational technique and documentary study. The first data collection tool used is writing instruments, the second is a mobile device, and the third is a laptop. Based on the data analysis conducted in the Malay Song Sambas by Bulyan Musthafa, there are several forms of metaphor that are related to the environment in which they are formed. The form of learning text related to Ecolinguistic Metaphor in Bulyan Mustafa's Malay Song Sambas is an E-Module of Poetry Text that will be adapted to the 2013 curriculum learning at the X grade high school level.

Abstract

This study aims to describe and analyze the spice hundreds param lexicon in the Malay Sambas community in Sarang Burung Kuala Village. The research method used in this study is a descriptive method with a qualitative research form. Sources of data in this study directly from informants. The data obtained in this study resulted in 92 hundred param spice lexicons in the Sambas Malay community in Sarang Burung Kuala Village, consisting of 10 param types, 48 lexicons for spices or medicinal ingredients, 18 lexicons for tools used, there are 9 lexicons for how to make them, and based on how to use them there are 7 lexicons. The form of the spice hundreds param lexicon in the Malay Sambas community in Sarang Burung Kuala Village is in the form of monomorphemic lexicons totaling 27, polymorphemis totaling 21 lexicons, and phrases totaling 44 lexicons. The meaning of the spice hundreds param lexicon in the Malay Sambas community in Sarang Burung Kuala Village based on lexical meanings totals 92 lexicons and 12 lexicons for cultural meanings. The form of an Indonesian language learning text based on the spice hundreds param lexicon for the Malay Sambas community in Sarang Burung Kuala Village is a procedure text.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the style of comparative language; opposing language styles; linking language style; and the repetitive language style in the lyrics of the album Mengudara by Idgitaf. Language style is a variety of expressions of using language to obtain certain effects and has characteristics in conveying thoughts and feelings, both orally and in writing. Recently, the Indonesian music world has emerged many new musicians who are characterized by the lyrics they create and the way they deliver unique and impressive songs. One of the many Indonesian musicians who use word games in their lyrics is Brigitta Sriulina Beru Meliala or commonly known as Idgitaf. Idgitaf is a singer, songwriter, and content creator who started her career in 2020. This study uses a descriptive method in the form of qualitative research. The data collection technique uses observation techniques and documentary studies. This research found several types of language styles in the lyrics of the song album Mengudara by Idgitaf. The types of language styles in this study are: First, comparative language styles: simile language styles, metaphorical language styles, personification language styles, and antithesis language styles. Second, the language style of opposition: Hyperbolic language style, litotes language style, and irony language style. Third, linkage language styles: erotic language styles, parallelism language styles, ellipsis language styles, and gradient language styles. Fourth, repetitive language styles: Assonance language styles, anaphoric language styles, and epistrophic language styles.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui kemampuan membaca pemahaman siswa kelas VII pada struktur teks deskripsi. Metode deskriptif dengan bentuk kuantitatif. Sumber data dalam penelitian ini siswa kelas VII SMP Negeri 1 Pontianak sebagai subjek penelitian dan lembar kerja siswa sebagai objeknya. Menggunakan teknik langsung, yaitu teknik tes soal, kuesioner/angket, wawancara, catat, dan dokumentasi. Kemampuan membaca pemahaman siswa kelas VII terhadap struktur identifikasi diperoleh 1 siswa dengan persentase 2%, 8 siswa dengan persentase 16%, 21 siswa dengan persentase 42%, 16 siswa dengan persentase 32%, dan 4 siswa dengan persentase 8%. Terhadap struktur deskripsi bagian diperoleh 1 siswa dengan persentase 2%, 5 siswa dengan persentase 10%, 20 siswa dengan persentase 40%, 24 siswa dengan persentase 48%. Struktur simpulan diperoleh 1 siswa dengan persentase 2%, 17 siswa dengan persentase 34%, 16 siswa dengan persentase 32%, 16 siswa dengan persentase 32%. Hipotesis penelitian ini adalah chi hitung lebih besar dari chi tabel yaitu 34,7 > 16,9. Artinya hipotesis nol (Ho) penelitian tersebut ditolak, yang mengatakan bahwa kemampuan membaca pemahaman siswa kelas VII SMP Negeri 1 Pontianak dalam pembelajaran teks deskripsi itu rendah dan hipotesis alternatif (Ha) diterima, yang mengatakan bahwa kemampuan membaca pemahaman siswa kelas VII SMP Negeri Pontianak tinggi .

Abstract

Language politeness is an important key in communication, ensuring language is in accordance with norms and culture to maintain harmonious social relations. Language politeness not only applies in everyday life, but also has an important role in producing a film, one of which is the film Sang Prawira. This research focuses on analyzing politeness in the film Sang Prawira, directed by Ponti Gea. The choice of this film was based on an interest in the use of inappropriate language in several scenes. This research aims to find out and understand how language politeness is reflected in the speech of the characters in the film Sang Prawira, both compliance and violation of language politeness as well as the implementation of Indonesian language learning in Senior High Schools (SMA). The method used in this research is descriptive qualitative. The data collection technique used is a documentary study technique. The data analysis techniques used in this research are data reduction, data interpretation, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. The results of this research show that the film Sang Prawira includes the six maxims stated by Leech, both compliance and violation of language politeness and maintaining Asmah Haji Omar facial expressions as well as implementation of Indonesian language learning in drama texts in Senior High School (SMA) class XI semester. complete the 2013 curriculum.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the form of the lexicon, the maintenance of the traditional game lexicon in the Ketapang Malay language, and its implementation in Indonesian language learning. The form of research used is qualitative and quantitative with descriptive methods. Data collection techniques are face-to-face conversation, interviews, recording and notes, and questionnaires. This research resulted in 52 lexicon data of traditional Malay Ketapang games, namely based on the names of 18 lexicon games, 13 lexicon tools and materials, and 21 lexicon activities. The forms of lingual units are monomorphemic 18 lexicon, polymorphemic 21 lexicon, and phrase 10 lexicon. The understanding of the Ketapang Malay community based on the combined age group of 18 game name lexicon category I is 86%, category II is 6%, and category III is 8.06%. 12 lexicon tools and materials category I 93.59%, category II 2,82%, and category III 3.59%. 21 activity lexicon category I 97.9%), category II 1.83%, and category III 0.32%. The traditional Malay game lexicon Ketapang still survives in the community. The form of Indonesian language learning text related to the traditional Malay game lexicon Ketapang is descriptive text.
