Abstract

Dismenore sering terjadi pada wanita usia produktif salah satunya yaitu remaja. Hasil survei pendahuluan terdapat 80% remaja putri yang mengalami dismenore. Faktor-faktor yang diduga menjadi penyebab dismenore yaitu status gizi dan usia menarche. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui apakah ada hubungan antara status gizi dan usia menarche dengan kejadian dismenore pada remaja putri di Pondok Pesantren Ushuludin. Jenis penelitian ini yaitu penelitian kuantitatif dengan jenis observasional analitik. Desain penelitian cross sectional. Total Sampel 87 responden remaja putri di Pondok Pesantresn Ushuludin Lampung Selatan. Pengambilan data dengan teknik systematic random sampling. Instrumen yang digunakan untuk dismenore yaitu WaLIDD score, status gizi diukur menggunakan indeks IMT/U, dan usia menarche dengan kuesioner. Analisis bivariat menggunakan uji spearman dan chi square dengan derajat kepercayaan 95%. Hasil penelitian ini yaitu responden paling banyak dengan usia remaja akhir 15-18 tahun (59,8%). Sebanyak 77% reponden mengalami dismenore. Responden dengan status gizi normal (72,4%) dan usia menarche dini (58,6%). Terdapat hubungan antara status gizi (p= 0,017; r=0,255) dan usia menarche (p=0,029; PR 2,631; 95% CI 1,1660-5,937) dengan kejadian dismenore pada remaja putri di Pondok Pesantren Ushuludin Lampung Selatan. Remaja putri sebaiknya selalu menjaga kondisi kesehatan dan diharapkan agar dapat memahami perawatan nyeri untuk mengurangi dismenore.

Abstract

Buah dan sayur memiliki peranan penting dalam menjaga status gizi dan perkembangan kognitif remaja. Berdasarkan penelitian sebelumnya 60% asupan buah dan sayur pada remaja putri masih tergolong kurang, disebabkan oleh kurangnya pengetahuan gizi tentang pentingnya buah dan sayur. Pemberian pendidikan gizi diharapkan mampu mengubah sikap dan perilaku remaja putri agar asupan buah dan sayur dapat terpenuhi dengan baik. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh pendidikan gizi terhadap perubahan asupan buah dan sayur pada remaja putri. Penelitian ini menggunakan jenis penelitian pre-experimental dengan One Group Pre Test dan Post Test design. Penelitian ini dilakukan setelah mendapat izin dari Komite Etik Penelitian Kesehatan dengan no surat 2432/B.1/KEPK-FKUMS/X/2019. Responden terdiri dari 38 remaja putri. Data pre-test didapatkan melalui penelitian sebelumnya. Pendidikan gizi diberikan kepada orang tua sebanyak 4 kali dan siswi sebanyak 4 kali. Metode pendidikan gizi yang digunakan yaitu dengan metode ceramah serta tanya jawab. Pengambilan data post-test asupan buah dan sayur menggunakan FFQ semi-kuantitatif kemudian diuji menggunakan uji Wilcoxon. Data diolah menggunakan SPSS menunjukkan terdapat pengaruh pendidikan gizi yang diberikan terhadap konsumsi buah dan sayur remaja putri (p=0,000). Asupan buah dan sayur remaja putri sebelum diberikan pendidikan gizi yang termasuk kategori kurang sebesar 57,9% dan termasuk kategori baik sebesar 42,1%. Asupan buah dan sayur remaja putri setelah diberikan pendidikan gizi yang termasuk kategori kurang sebesar 34,2% dan termasuk kategori baik sebesar 65,8%. Hal ini menunjukkan, remaja putri dapat mengaplikasikan informasi yang didapatkan melalui pendidikan gizi di kehidupan sehari-hari dan menyadari pentingnya mengkonsumsi buah dan sayur bagi kesehatan. Terdapat perbedaan asupan buah dan sayur remaja putri sebelum dan sesudah diberikan pendidikan gizi. Peneliti berharap agar pendidikan gizi yang telah diberikan dapat terus diterapkan.

Abstract

Beban kerja yang  tidak sesuai dengan kemampuan pekerja menjadi penyebab   timbulnya kelelahan kerja. Kelelahan kerja dapat dipengaruhi oleh beberapa faktor:  beban kerja yang berat dan asupan yang kurang memadai. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan antara beban kerja dan asupan gizi makro dengan kelelahan ahli gizi rumah sakit di Wilayah Sukoharjo. Desain penelitian ini cross sectional dengan teknik stratified random sampling dari 52 populasi sehingga diperoleh sampel yang sesuai dengan kriteria inklusi sejumlah 34 responden ahli gizi. Data beban kerja diperoleh melalui observasi pencatatan aktivitas. Asupan gizi makro diperoleh melalui recall 24 jam. Data kelelahan kerja diperoleh dengan pengisian kuesioner Industrial Fatigue Research Committee.  Analisis data menggunakan  uji  pearson product moment. Mayoritas ahli  gizi mengalami beban kerja dengan kategori sedang 19 responden (55,8%) dan 23 responden (67, 6%) memiliki skor kelelahan kerja tinggi. Tidak ditemukan hubungan antara beban kerja dan asupan gizi makro dengan kelelahan kerja ahli gizi rumah sakit di Wilayah Sukoharjo, hasil uji statistik untuk beban kerja dengan kelelahan didapatkan nilai p = 0,353. Hasil uji statistik asupan gizi makro dengan kelelahan  didapatkan nilai p 0,090 (energi ); p 0, 084 (protein); p 0,831 ( lemak); p 0,322 (karbohidrat).

Abstract

Iron is an essential micronutrient, particularly for blood formation and hemoglobin synthesis. Vitamin A contributes by mobilizing iron reserves in the body, thereby supporting hemoglobin production. This study aimed to examine the association between iron and vitamin A intake and the incidence of anemia among adolescent girls in Surakarta. A cross-sectional design with multistage random sampling was employed, involving 199 female students who met the inclusion and exclusion criteria. Hemoglobin levels were assessed using the cyanmethemoglobin method, while dietary intake of iron and vitamin A was measured through the Semi-Quantitative Food Frequency Questionnaire (SQ-FFQ) to evaluate dietary habits. Statistical analysis revealed a significant association between iron intake and anemia (p-value= <0,001), whereas vitamin A intake showed no significant relationship (p-value= 0,132). The findings indicate that inadequate iron intake contributes to anemia in adolescent girls. Further research with larger sample sizes and longitudinal approaches is strongly recommended to elucidate the role of vitamin A and to inform more effective anemia prevention strategies.

Abstract

Hypertension and diabetes mellitus are among the most prevalent non-communicable diseases (NCDs) worldwide, strongly influenced by dietary patterns and environmental factors. The prevalence of these conditions in Saudi Arabia remains notably high. Preventive efforts are essential and can be strengthened through routine anthropometric and biochemical monitoring, alongside education on balanced and healthy diets. A substantial number of Indonesian citizens particularly migrant workers and students reside in Saudi Arabia, making early NCD prevention crucial for sustaining their long-term health and productivity. This community service program aimed to improve the knowledge and awareness of Indonesian workers and students in Saudi Arabia regarding NCD prevention. The activities included anthropometric assessments, biochemical examinations, and educational sessions on infectious diseases and associated risk factors. The program was conducted in collaboration with PCIM Saudi Arabia and study groups consisting of mothers and students in Mecca. A total of 11 sessions were held in both online and offline formats. The webinar series comprised five sessions featuring speakers from PCIM, PPMI, and the PKMKI Team, and attracted 87 participants, including UMS students, university students, and migrant workers in Saudi Arabia. Pre- and post-test results demonstrated a significant improvement in participants’ knowledge following the webinars. Participants showed high enthusiasm, despite sessions being scheduled in the evening. This program is expected to enhance awareness among students and migrant workers about the importance of monitoring their nutritional status and maintaining a healthy diet as key strategies for preventing non-communicable.

Abstract

The recording and reporting of health data carried out by cadres mostly use manual methods. The shortcomings of using manual methods in reporting include missing data, data duplication, and reporting to the health center. In addition, reporting to the health center must be in the form of a neat file, and if it continues to be done manually, it can slow down the reporting process. Advanced technology can be used as a solution to these problems, such as data collection training for cadres to create Google form where the results will be in the form of files that are neatly inputted into spreadsheet without having to work twice. The purpose of this community service is to provide training to health cadres to increase their knowledge and skills and not be stuttering about technology because today’s era is entirely digital. In addition, it also aims to facilitate cadres in the process of recording and reporting. The method used in this community service is education on creating Google form and direct training. The results of the activity show an increase in pretest and posttest scores. The conclusion of community service is that there was an increase in knowledge and skills from 3 to 10 cadres after the posttest in the data collection training using Google form. The suggestion for future activities is to work together with village officials to help provide facilities and infrastructure, such as facilitating laptops for cadres.

Abstract

Desa Gumpang merupakan salah satu desa di Kecamatan Kartasura Sukoharjo. Di Desa Gumpang, terdapat lansia dengan diabetes mellitus sebanyak 22 orang. Hasil analisis, masih terdapat lansia yang belum mengetahui komplikasi yang diakibatkan dari diabetes mellitus. Kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk memberikan edukasi pencegahan komplikasi pada lansia dengan diabetes mellitus. Pencegahan komplikasi pada diabetes mellitus dapat dilakukan melalui upaya promotif dan preventif yang berfokus untuk meningkatkan pengetahuan serta sikap positif lansia terhadap kejadian stroke iskemik. Metode kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat ini dengan metode ceramah dan tanya jawab, kegiatan dilaksanakan melalui beberapa tahap, diantaranya yaitu : (1) survei lapangan; (2) persiapan pelaksanaan kegiatan; (3) cek kesehatan lansia; (4) senam diabetes lansia (5) pre-test; (6) edukasi diabetes mellitus; (7) diskusi; (8) post-test. Untuk evaluasi kegiatan ini menggunakan pretest dan posttest dengan media Presentasi Power Point. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan pada pretest 2 orang mendapatkan nilai dengan kategori tidak paham, 18 orang kategori kurang paham, dan 2 orang kategori paham. Setelah diberikan edukasi terdapat peningkatan nilai dari hasil pretest ke posttest. Terdapat 2 orang mendapatkan nilai dengan kategori kurang paham dan 20 orang kategori paham. Kesimpulan: pemberian edukasi tentang pencegahan kejadian stroke iskemik pada penyandang diabetes mellitus dapat meningkatkan pengetahuan pada lansia di Desa Gumpang.

Abstract

Based on the Global Food Security Index (GFSI), Indonesia has a score of 60.2 and ranks 63rd out of 113 countries included in the food security program. Household-level food security is a key factor in addressing nutritional problems, particularly among populations that are highly vulnerable to nutritional disorders. This study aimed to examine the relationship between food security and protein intake in Selo District, Boyolali. This study employed an observational design with a cross-sectional approach. A total of 108 samples were selected using simple random sampling. Primary data were collected using the Household Food Insecurity Access Scale (HFIAS) questionnaire and a semi-quantitative food frequency questionnaire (SQ-FFQ) through interviewer-administered interviews. Secondary data were obtained from Selo Boyolali Public Health Center records. Data analysis was conducted using correlation analysis. The results showed a significant negative correlation between food security level and protein intake in Selo District, including Tlogolele, Jrakah, and Klakah villages (r = −0.268; p = 0.005). In addition, a significant positive correlation was found between protein intake and nutritional status in the same area (r = 0.191; p = 0.048). In conclusion, there is a significant relationship between food security and protein intake in Selo District, and protein intake also plays an important role in influencing nutritional status.

Abstract

Household food security is an important factor influencing nutrient intake, including carbohydrate intake as the main source of energy. This study aimed to determine the relationship between household food security and carbohydrate intake among women of reproductive age in Selo District, Boyolali. This research used an analytic observational design with a cross-sectional approach involving 108 respondents selected using simple random sampling. Household food security was measured using the Household Food Insecurity Access Scale (HFIAS), while carbohydrate intake was assessed using a Semi Quantitative Food Frequency Questionnaire (SQ-FFQ). Data were analyzed using the Spearman Rank test. The results showed that the majority of respondents were classified as food insecure (59.3%), with carbohydrate intake predominantly in the excessive (46.3%) and normal (38.9%) categories. Statistical analysis revealed a significant relationship between household food security and carbohydrate intake (p = 0.030) with a weak negative correlation (r = -0.209). It can be concluded that higher levels of food insecurity are associated with lower carbohydrate intake.
