Abstract

This study aims to determine the description of the office practice program, the description of office practice, and the influence of the office practice program on improving the competence of Office Administration Education students at Universitas  Negeri Makassar. This study is classified as an associative study with a quantitative approach. The sample in this study was 70 students of the Office Administration Education study program, Department of Administrative Sciences, Faculty of Social Sciences and Law, Universitas  Negeri Makassar with a simple random sampling technique. In this study, the data collection techniques used were questionnaires and documentation. While the data analysis technique in this study used descriptive and inferential statistical analysis. The results of the study explain that the office practice variable is in the very good category, while the competence improvement variable is in the very good category. Based on the results of the product moment correlation test, the two variables have a strong relationship. Based on the simple linear regression analysis, it was concluded that there was a positive and significant influence of the office practice program on improving the competence of Office Administration Education students at Universitas  Negeri Makassar. This study reveals that the implementation of the office practice program is running well so that competent students are realized and can compete in the industrial world and gain knowledge and experience that are useful for their future.

Abstract

In the document storage system material, teaching strategies are needed to support the learning process. Because the material discusses archive systems or documents, types of documents, electronic documents, digital documents and so on. Learning goals will be achieved, if teachers strive to choose the right learning strategy. The learning strategy used by educators in the document storage system material is to use the demonstration method, so that educators will easily apply the material and students will easily understand and apply the theories obtained after the learning process. Choosing the right teaching strategy will increase student learning achievement in terms of skills or expertise. The purpose of the study is to examine the effect of the application of the demonstration method on student learning achievement on the document storage system material of the Department of Office Governance Automation at SMK Negeri 1 Makassar. The approach used is quantitative. Data analysis techniques are descriptive statistics and classical assumption tests. The results of the processing showed: (1) the variable of the application of the demonstration method (X), classified as good. (2) the variable of student learning achievement (Y), reviewed from the student's report card score on the document storage system material which is classified as a very high category with a good score range. (3) The correlation test of product moment is known to have a significant influence and has a moderate relationship. As well as for the simple linear regression test, it shows a positive and significant influence between the variables of the application of the demonstration method (X) on student learning achievement (Y) and the document storage system material at SMK Negeri 1 Makassar

Abstract

Teacher performance plays a central role in shaping the quality of education, and a deeper understanding of this relationship is key to improving the education system. By knowing the direct impact of teacher performance, this research can also increase teacher accountability, encourage the development of more effective teaching strategies, and contribute to efforts to increase equality in the achievement of learning outcomes. The research used a quantitative descriptive method involving 59 out of a total of 139 students, selected by random proportional technique. Collect data by observation, questionnaire, and documentation, then analyze with the SPSS 25 program. Validity testing, reliability testing, data normality testing, product moment correlation analysis, descriptive data analysis methods, and basic linear regression analysis are all used in the analysis. The results of the study showed that the performance of teachers was categorized as good as seen from the indicators of the ability to plan, implement, evaluate and follow up on learning. Similarly, the average level of student learning achievement is assessed based on aspects of knowledge and skills or expertise. A correlation value of 0.294 showed that there was a 29.4% relationship between student learning achievement and teacher performance. The coefficient of determination, which stands at 0.087, shows that there is an impact of 8.7% of teacher performance on student learning achievement. At SMK Negeri 1 Baubau, teacher achievement has a minimal beneficial impact on student progress, but it is not statistically significant. It is possible to conclude from the findings of the study that there are various factors/causes that affect student learning achievement but are not covered in this study

Abstract

The School Field Introduction Program (PLP) is a form of teaching practice experience for education students to develop pedagogical, professional, social, and personality competencies. This study aims to analyze the role of PLP students in the learning process at SMK Negeri 4 Makassar and its impact on the effectiveness of teaching and learning activities. The approach and type of research used are qualitative research approaches and descriptive research types. The informants in this study were the head of the MPLB (Office Management and Business Services) department and two supervising teachers. The methods used in this study were observation, interviews with supervising teachers and the head of the department, and analysis of learning documents. The data analysis techniques employed were data condensation, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. Based on the study's results, it was demonstrated that PLP students played a role in assisting with teaching planning, including compiling lesson plans, determining appropriate learning strategies, and preparing media and teaching materials that support the learning process in the classroom. (2) Learning Management, such as organizing the course of teaching and learning activities, creating a conducive classroom atmosphere, and helping teachers handle class dynamics during the learning process. (3) evaluation of student learning outcomes through the preparation of teaching materials, arrangement of teaching and learning activities in the classroom, and implementation of learning outcome assessments to determine the achievement of student competencies. (4) utilization of learning technology, such as using Google Classroom for class management, Canva to create interesting learning media, and Quizzes and Google Forms as interactive and efficient learning evaluation tools to increase student engagement. However, several challenges are faced, including difficulties in adapting learning methods to student characteristics and the need for additional support from mentor teachers. Overall, the presence of PLP students makes a positive contribution to improving the quality of learning at SMK Negeri 4 Makassar.

Abstract

The use of finger print is an electronic-based attendance tool used to see the level of employee discipline. This study aims to determine the effectiveness of finger printing use in the Soppeng Regency Environmental Office. To achieve this goal, researchers use data collection techniques through observation, questionnaires, interviews, and documentation. This research is a quantitative descriptive research. The population in this study was all employees of the Soppeng Regency Environmental Office which amounted to 62 people and sampling was carried out based on the Krejcie table as many as 55 people. Data is presented through a frequency table and processed using score calculations. The data analysis technique uses a percentage formula. The results of this study show that the effectiveness of finger printing in the Soppeng Regency Environmental Office is carried out very well or very effectively. These results are seen from the aspects of: 1) achieving targets, namely achieving employee attendance and productivity with a percentage result of 92.25%, 2) employee adaptability to finger printing with a percentage result of 95.81%, (3) employee job satisfaction with a percentage result of 91.85%, (4) employee responsibility to complete work on time with a percentage result of 92%.

Abstract

The conflict management style in the organization is a management strategy in dealing with conflicts that occur. The use of an appropriate conflict management style will have a good impact on the organization. This study aims to find out the influence of conflict management style on the satisfaction of student institution administrators at the Faculty of Social Sciences and Law, Universitas Negeri Makassar. This study is a quantitative research that shows cause and effect. The sample in this study was 82 people with the Simple Random Sampling technique and 5 informants. The data collection techniques used are observation, questionnaires, interviews, and documentation. The data analysis techniques used are descriptive data analysis and inferential statistical analysis. The results of the study show that the conflict management style of student institutions at the Faculty of Social Sciences and Law, Universitas Negeri Makassar is in the "Good" category with 5 indicators, namely competition, collaboration, compromise, avoidance, and accommodating. Meanwhile, management satisfaction is in the "Very Good" category with 5 indicators, namely member satisfaction working in the organization, liking other members, perception of friendliness between members, willingness to cooperate with the organization again in the future, and perception of the satisfaction of other members in the organization. Based on the results of the product moment correlation test, the relationship between variables is moderate. Based on the results of a simple linear regression analysis, it was concluded that there was a positive and significant influence of the Conflict Management style on the satisfaction of the Student Institution Management at the Faculty of Social Sciences and Law, Universitas Negeri Makassar. This research is the first research at Makassar State University that discusses conflict management styles, especially in student institutions.

Abstract

Student administration plays an important role in the implementation of school activities to run effectively and efficiently. This study aims to determine the quality of student administration services at SMK PGRI Enrekang. This study is a qualitative descriptive study. The informants in this study were the Head of Administration, Teachers, and Students. Data collection techniques through observation, interview, and documentation methods. Data analysis techniques use data collection techniques, condensation, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. The results of the study indicate that the quality of student administration services at SMK PGRI Enrekang is in the "quality" category, which can be seen in each dimension, namely: Tangible is quite good, seen from the appearance of the administrative staff who are neat and polite according to school regulations, the administration room is equipped with facilities such as photocopiers, printers, computers, and air conditioning. However, it is still constrained by the narrow condition of the administration room. The Reability dimension is reliable, seen from the accuracy of the administrative staff in providing services and the ability of employees to use assistive devices. The Responsiviness dimension is responsive, seen from the speed and accuracy of the administrative staff in serving students. The Assurance dimension is good, seen from the administrative staff providing certainty of time in the service process. The Empathy dimension is good, seen from the attitude of the administrative staff who are friendly, polite, and do not discriminate against students in providing services.

Abstract

Service is every effort that is carried out/provided in order to meet the needs of those who need it, both in the form of goods and services. The purpose of this study is to find out the services for making land certificates at the Agrarian and Spatial Planning office/National Land Agency of Gowa Regency. To find out the purpose of the research, a qualitative descriptive type of research is used. The informants in this study were 3 people using data collection techniques through observation, interviews, and documentation. The data obtained from the results of the research was then processed using data analysis techniques consisting of data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawn. The results of the study show that the land certificate making service at the Agrarian and Spatial Planning office/National Land Agency of Gowa Regency is good with all indicators and is considered adequate.

Abstract

This study seeks to assess the execution of the Independent Learning-Independent Campus (MBKM) program at Universitas Cahaya Prima (UNCAPI) Bone and to identify the facilitating and obstructive elements affecting its implementation at UNCAPI Bone. The research employs qualitative methods, utilizing data collection approaches such as observation, interviews, and documentation. This study involved seven informants. The findings of this study indicate that the execution of the MBKM program at UNCAPI Bone, assessed through the indicators of communication, resources, disposition, and bureaucratic structure, has been conducted "effectively." From a communication perspective, there is effective interaction between professors and students. From a resource perspective, lecturers as facilitators offer guidance, support, and inspiration to students. The lecturers exhibit a supportive disposition and maintain a favorable outlook on the execution of the MBKM program. Lecturers have elucidated the mechanisms, systems, and procedures of the MBKM program to students from a bureaucratic structural perspective. The facilitating elements for the execution of the MBKM program include the endorsement from universities, the favorable outlook of lecturers, and the proactive engagement of students in the MBKM initiative. Concurrently, the impediments include inadequate value conversion, insufficient socialization, disorganized human resource development, and a continued lack of student enthusiasm in the MBKM program.

Abstract

Academically and professionally, the ability to speak in front of an audience is crucial. Strong public speaking skills are essential for students enrolled in the Office Administration Education Study Program. Concerns such as fear of public speaking and ways to overcome them will be thoroughly investigated in this study. Better understanding these barriers and developing ways to overcome them will undoubtedly enhance students' educational experiences. This study will provide students with a better understanding of their needs, interests, and experiences. This can be useful in creating programs tailored to individual student needs. A total of 108 individuals participated in the study, randomly selected using a simple random sampling technique. The research approach was quantitative. A combination of descriptive data analysis and inferential statistical analysis was used to analyze data collected through observation, questionnaires, and documentation. Having a positive self-concept, acting independently in making judgments, believing in one's talents, and having the courage to share opinions are all signs of self-confidence. Meanwhile, indicators of public speaking competence are ethos, pathos, and logos communication styles. In the Office Administration Education Study Program, Department of Administrative Science, self-confidence has a positive and significant influence on students' public speaking skills (46.3%), while the remaining 54.7% is influenced by other variables not explained in this study
