Abstract

The purpose of this research is to  describe the effectiveness of Learning Cycle 3E model on equilibrium chemical concept in improving their communicate skills and inference skills of SMAN 7 Bandar Lampung.  The effectiveness of this lessons model is measured based on the different of n-Gain, which has been moving up significantly. This research using the quasi experiment method with non equivalent control group design.  The sample selection’s techniques is used is the  purposive sampling.  The population in this research is all students from grade XI IPA of SMAN 7 Bandar Lampung.  Results of the study showed that Learning Cycle 3E model is effective in improving communicate skills and inference skills on equilibrium chemicals concept.Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk  mendeskripsikan efektivitas model pembelajaran Learning Cycle 3E pada materi kesetimbangan kimia dalam me-ningkatkan keterampilan mengkomunikasikan dan inferensi siswa SMAN 7 Bandar Lampung. Efektivitas model pembelajaran Learning Cycle 3E diukur dengan berdasarkan peningkatan n-Gain yang signifikan. Penelitian ini meng-gunakan metode kuasi eksperimen dengan  non equivalent control group design. Teknik pemilihan sampel yang digunakan yaitu purposive sampling.  Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah seluruh siswa kelas XI IPA SMAN 7 Bandar Lampung. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa model Learning Cycle 3E efektif dalam meningkatkan keterampilan mengkomunikasikan dan inferensi pada materi kesetimbangan kimia.Kata kunci: keterampilan inferensi, keterampilan mengkomunikasikan, model Learning Cycle 3E.

Abstract

The pre-experimental research with The Static-Group Pretest-Posttest Design design aims to describe the improvement of students' reasoning ability through the erosion-based e-learning problem model and to describe students' scientific attitudes through erosion-based enamel-based learning. The sample in this research is class XI MIA 3 as experiment class and class XI MIA 9 as control class at one of SMA Negeri in Bandar Lampung. The result of the research on improving reasoning ability, shown by the average difference of n-Gain students' reasoning ability of experimental class is significantly higher than control class. Scientific attitudes described, shown by the trained students' scientific attitude during the learning in accordance with the rubric that has been made researchers. The conclusion of this research is learning with Problem Based Learning model can improve students 'reasoning ability and also to train students' scientific attitude.Penelitian pre-eksperimen dengan desain penelitian The Static-Group Pretest-Posttest Design ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan peningkatan kemampuan penalaran siswa melalui model pembelajaran berbasis masalah erosi email gigi dan untuk mendeskripsikan sikap ilmiah siswa melalui pembelajaran berbasis masalah erosi email gigi. Sampel dalam penelitian ini adalah kelas XI MIA 3 sebagai kelas eksperimen dan kelas XI MIA 9 sebagai kelas kontrol di salah satu SMA di Bandar Lampung. Hasil penelitian peningkatan kemampuan penalaran, ditunjukkan oleh perbedaan rata-rata n-Gain kemampuan penalaran siswa kelas eksperimen secara signifikan lebih tinggi daripada kelas kontrol. Sikap ilmiah yang dideskripsikan, ditunjukkan berdasarkan terlatihnya sikap ilmiah siswa selama pembelajaran sesuai dengan rubrik yang telah dibuat peneliti. Kesimpulan penelitian ini adalah pembelajaran dengan model Pembelajaran Berbasis Masalah dapat meningkatkan kemampuan penalaran siswa serta melatih sikap ilmiah siswa.Kata Kunci: kemampuan penalaran, sikap ilmiah siswa, model pembelajaran berbasis masalah, titrasi asam basa

Abstract

This study aims to describe the improvement of students' reasoning and science process skills through dental erosion-based learning problems. The population in this research is all students of class XI MIA in one of SHS Bandarlampung even semester TP. 2017-2018. The samples were taken using purposive sampling technique and obtained XI MIA 3 class as experiment class and XI class MIA 9 as control class.  The enhancement of reasoning ability and students' science process skills is determined by the n-gain of reasoning ability and science process skills of students tested statistically by t-test.  The results showed that learning based on erosion problem of tooth enamel can improve students' reasoning ability and science process skills. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan peningkatan kemampuan penalaran dan keterampilan proses sains siswa melalui pembelajaran berbasis masalah erosi email gigi. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah seluruh siswa kelas XI MIA di salah satu SMA di Bandarlampung semester genap TP. 2017-2018. Sampel penelitian diambil menggunakan teknik purposive sampling dan diperoleh kelas XI MIA 3 sebagai kelas eksperimen dan kelas XI MIA 9 sebagai kelas kontrol.  Peningkatan kemampuan penalaran dan keterampilan proses sains siswa ditentukan dari n-gain kemampuan penalaran dan keterampilan proses sains siswa yang diuji secara statistik dengan uji-t. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pembelajaran berbasis masalah erosi email gigi mampu meningkatkan kemampuan penalaran dan keterampilan proses sains siswa.Kata kunci: pembelajaran berbasis masalah, erosi email gigi, keterampilan proses sains, kemampuan penalaran

Abstract

Chemistry is one of knowledges that learn abstract phenomena and difficult to understand by students generally and chemical learning at this momen only in makroscopic and symbolic dimension, whereas submicroscopic often deserted. The research aim to develop module of multiple representation based on the acid base material.Method used on this research is research and development (R D) according to Sukmadinata (2009). But on this research, step only arrive to step of main product revision. Research and development on this research have three steps. There are step 1st) needs analysis that consist of literature study and field study, step 2nd ) planning and development that consist of planning preliminary product, develop preliminary product,validation, and preliminary product revision, step 3th) preliminary field test, and main product revision.Results of this research is development module of acid-base based on multiple representations  which have characteristic: 1) module refers to the SK and KD, 2) material packaged in units of learning activities, modules arranged in a systematic and attractive, giving rise to interest in reading to students, 3) the material presented in the modules developed chemical, described by multiple representations, 4) accompanied by examples and illustrations that support the material, 5) the language used is simple and communicative, 6) have level of contents suitability is very high that is 82 % and have level of aspects graph 86,35 % according to teacher, also have high level of legibilityt is high that is 79,26% according students.Key words :  module, multiple representation, the chemical acid base material

Abstract

Accuracy educators in selecting and implementing learning models influence students' science process skills. Models of learning that can be applied to improve science process skills and tend constructivist among athers learning model of problem solving. This research was conducted to describe the effectiveness of the learning model of problem solving in improving communication skills and prediction skills. Subjects in this research were students of high school YP Unila Bandar Lampung Even semester of classes XI IPA4School Year 2011-2012. This research used a pre-experimental method with One Group Pretest-Posttest Design. The effectiveness of the learning model of problem solving was measured by differences in understanding of the beginning and end of the students' understanding shown by the mean n-Gain. Based on the results of this research, average value of n-Gain for communication skills is 0.63 and the average value of n-Gain for prediction skills is 0.40. This shows that (1) a model of problem solving is effective in improving the communication skills in the medium category (2) a model of problem solving is effective in improving prediction skills in the medium category.Ketepatan pendidik dalam memilih dan menerapkan model pembelajaran berpengaruh terhadap keterampilan proses sains siswa. Model pembelajaran yang dapat diaplikasikan untuk meningkatkan keterampilan proses sains siswa dan mengacu pada konstruktivisme adalah model pembelajaran problem solving. Penelitian yang bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan efektivitas model pembelajaran problem solving dalam meningkatkan keterampilan berkomunikasi dan keterampilan memprediksi telah dilakukan. Subjek dalam penelitian ini adalah siswa SMA kelas XI IPA4 YP Unila Bandar Lampung tahun ajaran 2011-2012. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode preksperimen dengan desain One Group Pretest-Posttest. Efektivitas model pembelajaran problem solving diukur dengan membandingkan pemahaman siswa sebelum dan setelah pembelajaran, dimana pemahaman diindikasikan dari rerata nilai n-Gain. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian, rerata nilai n-G untuk keterampilan berkomunikasi sebesar 0,63 dan untuk keterampilan memprediksi sebesar 0,40. Hal ini menunjukkan bahwa model problem solving efektif dalam meningkatkan keterampilan berkomunikasi dan keterampilan memprediksi dalam rentang menengah.Kata kunci: keterampilan berkomunikasi, keterampilan memprediksi, problem solving

Abstract

This study aimed to describe the effectiveness in problem-based learning of pollution by detergent waste to improving students’ critical thinking skills. The research design used was the matching only pretest and postest control group design. The population in this research was all of students in grade XI MIA one of Senior High School in Bandarlampung. The sample of the research was the students of class XI MIA I and XI MIA 2. The data analysis technique used was parametric statistic test using t-test to postestt value. The results of this study it can be seen from postest value. Postest value in the experiment class that is greater than the postest value in the control class as well as the n-gain on the high categorized in the experimental class and in the medium control class indicate that problem-based learning of pollution by detergent waste can improve students' critical thinking skills.Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan efektivitas pembelajaran berbasis masalah pencemaran oleh limbah detergen dalam meningkatkan keterampilan berpikir kritis siswa. Desain penelitian yang digunakan adalah the matching only pretest and postest control group design. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah seluruh siswa kelas XI MIA salah satu SMA di Bandarlampung. Sampel penelitiannya adalah siswa kelas XI MIA I dan XI IPA 2. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan adalah uji statistik parametrik menggunakan uji t terhadap nilai postes. Hasil penelitian ini dapat dilihat berdasarkan nilai postes yang ditunjukkan. Nilai postes di kelas eksperimen yang lebih besar dari pada nilai postes di kelas kontrol dan juga n-gain  yang berkategori tinggi di kelas eksperimen dan di kelas kontrol berkategori sedang menunjukkan bahwa pembelajaran berbasis masalah pencemaran oleh limbah detergen dapat meningkatkan keterampilan berpikir kritis siswa.Kata kunci: keterampilan berpikir kritis, pencemaran oleh limbah detergen, pembelajaran berbasis masalah

Abstract

The objectives of this research were to find out the effective learning model in increasing observation and interpretation competencies on buffer solution and hydrolysis subjects.  Observation and interpretation competencies were part of science process competency (SPC).  In line with the objectives of the research, problem colving learning model was applied in learning that is part of constructivism approach. The research method was experiment quasi with the non equivalence control group design.  By using purposive sampling technique the sample of this research was XI IPA 1 and XI IPA 3 class. Based on the calculation of hypotesis testing, the result of this research were; (1) problem solving learning model was effective in increasing observation competency (2) problem solving learning model was effective in increasing interpretation competency. Keywords  : observation competency, interpretation competency, problem solving                     model

Abstract

This research aims to decribe the effective of problem solving learning model in concepts of buffer solution and salt hydrolysis to improve communicating and classifying skills. This research uses aquasi-experimental with pretest-posttest Non-Equivalent Control Group Design. Research population are all students of SMA N 14 Bandar Lampung  even semester of Academic Year 2011-2012 with  XI Science 1 class and XI Science 3 class as sample. The effectiveness of problem solving learning modelis measured by an increase significant N-gain. The hypothesis research using two different test average statistic formulat-test. Based on the results of hypothesis testing, it was concluded that problem solving learning modelis effective in improving skill sof comunicating and classifying on concepts of  buffer solution and salt hydrolysis.Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan efektivitas model pembelajaran problem solving pada materi larutan penyangga dan hidrolisis garam dalam meningkatkan keterampilan mengkomunikasikan dan mengelompokkan. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kuasi eksperimen dengan Non Equivalent Pretest-Posttest Control Group Design.  Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah seluruh siswa SMA Negeri 14 Bandar Lampung semester Genap Tahun Ajaran 2011-2012 dengan kelas XI IPA1 dan kelas XI IPA3 sebagai sampel. Efektivitas pembelajaran problem solving diukur berdasarkan perbedaan N-gain yang signifikan.  Pengujian hipotesis pada penelitian ini menggunakan uji perbedaan dua rata-rata dengan rumus statistik uji-t. Berdasarkan hasil pengujian hipotesis, disimpulkan bahwa model pembelajaran problem solving efektif dalam meningkatkan keterampilan mengkomunikasikan dan mengelompokkan pada materi larutan penyangga dan hidrolisis garam.Kata kunci: keterampilan mengelompokkan, keterampilan mengkomunikasikan, model problem solving.

Abstract

This research was aimed to describe the effect of using socioscientific issues to improve students’s metacognition ability in electrolyte and non-electrolyte solutions topic. The method used was quasi experiment with pretest-postest control group design. Population in this research were all students of X MIA of a senior highschool in Lampung Tengah. The sample were X MIA 1 as experiment class and X MIA 3 as control class, obtained using clauster random sampling technique. The effect of socioscientific issues was determined by t-test of n-Gain and supported by teacher's ability and effect size test. The results showed that average value of n-Gain of students’s metacognition ability criteria in experiment class was ‘average’, teacher's teaching ability criteria was ‘very high’, and effect size criteria was ‘large’. The conclution of this research was the using of socioscientific issues has given large effect to improve students’s metacognition ability in electrolyte and non-electrolyte solutions topic, with the effect size about 0,931.Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan pengaruh penggunaan isu sosiosaintifik untuk meningkatkan kemampuan metakognisi siswa pada materi larutan elektrolit dan non-elektrolit. Metode yang digunakan adalah quasi eksperimen, pretest-posttest control group design. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah seluruh siswa kelas X MIA di salah satu SMA di Lampung Tengah. Sampel diambil dengan teknik cluster random sampling, diperoleh kelas X MIA 1 sebagai kelas eksperimen dan X MIA 3 sebagai kelas kontrol. Pengaruh ditentukan berdasarkan uji-t terhadap n-Gain dan didukung dengan kemampuan guru mengelola pembelajaran dan uji ukuran pengaruh. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa rata-rata nilai n-Gain kemampuan metakognisi siswa pada kelas eksperimen berkriteria ‘sedang’, kemampuan guru ‘sangat tinggi’, dan ukuran pengaruh ‘besar’. Kesimpulan penelitian ini yaitu penggunaan isu sosiosaintifik berpengaruh untuk meningkatkan kemampuan metakognisi siswa pada materi larutan elektrolit dan non-elektrolit dengan ukuran pengaruh sebesar 0,931.Kata Kunci: metakognisi, isu sosiosaintifik, larutan elektrolit dan non-elektrolit.

Abstract

Abstract: The perception of science teachers and students on project-based immersed integrated science learning: A cow dung waste issue. This study aims to describe the perception of science teachers and students about creative thinking skills, immersed integrated science learning, and project-based learning of a cow dung waste issue. The survey method used in this study were interviews and questionnaire techniques. The interviews conducted with 7 science teachers respondents. The questionnaires distributed to 121 respondents of junior high school students in the Jati Agung Subdistrict. The results showed that 85.71% of teacher respondents did not know about immersed integrated model yet. They also have never implemented project-based learning, based on the students’ questionnaires, the teachers only gave assignments to 74.07% of student respondents and did not provide real problem-solving. The environmental problem occurs in Jati Agung Subdistrict is a large number of cow dung that causes pollution on the environment around society’s houses. As many as 71.43% of teacher respondents stated that they already knew about creative thinking. However, the creative thinking skills they knew are not relevant to the Torrance framework. Based on the results, teachers’ and students' perceptions of integrated science learning, project-based learning, and creative thinking skills are not according to their nature.
