ABSTRACTThis research was designed for determining whether the mathematics conceptual understanding of the students taught by using Think Talk Write cooperative learning model was better than that of students taught by using conventional learning in class VIII of SMPN 28 Padang. This was an experimental research which used random toward the subject design. The data was collected by using a posttest on mathematics conceptual understanding. The result of hypothesis test showed that P-value (0,0000) was smaller than α = 0,05 indicating that the hypothesis was accepted. Thus, it was concluded that the mathematics conceptual understanding of the students taught by using Think Talk Write cooperative learning model was better than that of students taught by using conventional learning in class VIII of SMPN 28 Padang.

ABSTRACTÂ This research was conducted due to the studentsâ low understanding on mathematics concepts. Therefore, Everyone is a Teacher Here (ETH) active learning strategy was applied. This research was aimed at revealing whether the conceptual understanding of the students taught by using ETH active learning strategy was better than that of students taught by using conventional learning in class VIII of SMPN 4 Batang Kapas. This was an experimental research which used random toward the subject design. The population of the research was the students in class VIII of SMPN Batang Kapas. The instrument of the research was a test whore reliability was 0,91. Based on the result of data analysis it was found that the sample classes were normally distributed and homogenous. As the value of tcalculated > ttable, the hypothesis was accepted indicating that the conceptual understanding of the students taught by using ETH active learning strategy was better than that of students taught by using conventional learning in class VIII of SMPN 4 Batang Kapas. Â

ABSTRACTThe aim of this research was to reveal whether the mathematics conseptual understanding of the students taught by using Talking Stick cooperative learning model was better than that of students taught by using conventional learning. This was an experimental research which used random toward the subject design. The population of this research was all of students in class VIII of SMPN 2 Koto XI Tarusan registered in academic year 2013/2014. The instrument of the research was a test whose reliability was 0,813. The data gathered was analyzed by using t-test assisted with MINITAB. Based on the result of data analysis it was found that P-value (0,000) was smaller than α = 0,05 indicating that the mathematics conceptual understanding of the students taught by using Talking Stick cooperative learning model was better than that of students taught by using conventional learning in class VIII of SMPN 2 Koto XI Tarusan.

 ABSTRACTThis research is motivated by the students understanding on mathematics concept that still low and students not interest in learning mathematics. This research was aimed at revealing whether the use of bingo review strategies could give a better effect on the studentsâ understanding on mathematics concept than the conventional one in class VIII of MTsN Bariang Rao- Rao. This was an experimental research which used random research design toward the subject. The instrument used in this research is a test in studentsâ understanding on mathematics concept. The data  was analyzed by using t-test assisted with software MINITAB. Based on the result of data analysis, it was revealed that the sample was distributed normally and had homogeny variant. Hypothesis test results obtained P - value = 0.000 was smaller than α = 0.05,  indicating that the hypothesis was accepted. So, it was concluded that the application of bingo review strategies could improve the studentsâ understanding on mathematics concept, and better than the conventional one.

AbstractThe research was basic on  the teacher as a center of learning process. The students had low motivated to ask the questions and gave their reason to the materials.The goal of this research was to determine whether students comprehension of mathematical concepts with the application by using active learning strategies LSQ was better than comprehension mathematical concepts by applying Conventional Teaching of second year students at SMPN 16 Sijunjung. In this research, the researcher used experimental method. The population of this research was the second year students of SMPN 16 Sijunjung. It was chosen by using random sampling technique, the experimental class was VIII2 students and the control class was VIII1 students. The instrument of the research was the final test with indicator of comprehension mathematical concepts in the form of essay with a 0.93 reliability test. The data analysis technique used is t-test. The result of this research processed with t-test was obtained tcount = 4.28 and  ttable = 1.677 It can be concluded that the students comprehension of mathematical concepts by using active learning strategies LSQ type was better than students comprehension of mathematical concepts by using conventional learning second grade students of SMPN 16 Sijunjung.Â

ABSTRACT This research was grounded by the studentsâ low understanding on mathematics concepts, unwillingness to ask questions and express ideas, and lack of confidence in answering the questions given. One of the efforts done to solve these problems was by applying spotlight technique assisted with handout. This research was aimed at revealing whether the conceptual understanding of the students taught by using spotlight technique assisted with handout was better than that of students taught by using conventional learning in class VIII of MTsN Batang Kapas. This was an experimental research. The population of the research was the students in class VIII of MTsN Batang Kapas. The instrument of the research was a test on mathematics conceptual understanding. The result of the hypothesis test showed that the value of tcalculated was bigger than ttable signifying that the conceptual understanding of the students taught by using spotlight technique assisted with handout was better than that of students taught by using conventional learning in class VIII of MTsN Batang Kapas. Â

ABSTRACTThe research is based on the lack of mathematical concept comprehention by student of VIII grade SMPN 2 Painan and the not really fun atmosphere, like the strategy that applied by school is lack of variation, the purpose of the research is to determine wether mathematical concept comprehention student with cooperative education strategy make a match technique is good enough than students mathematical concept comprehention with applied conventional education to students of VIII grade SMPN 2 Painan. The kind of this research is experimental research. Instrument that used in this research is the last test with concept comprehention indicators. The test is an essay with reliability test is = 0,86. According to the analycis of data, we know that the two sample class are normal and homogen distribution. The result of hypothesis test using test by one side with the help of MINITAB software, we discovered P-value = 0.038, itâs mean the hypothesis the accepted. Therefore we can conclude that students comprehention concept with applied cooperative education strategy make a match is good than conventional education to students of VIII grade SMP N 2 Painan.

ABSTRACTThis research was conducted based on the phenomena indicating that the students tended to be noisy during the learning process and they got low understanding on mathematics concept. This research aimed to reveal whether the use of MURDER technique of cooperative strategy collaborated with Number Heads could improve the studentsâ understanding on mathematics concept better than that of conventional technique. This was an experimental research. The data gotten then was analyzed by using t-test assisted with software MINITAB. Based on the result of data analysis, it was found that P-value was 0.019 which was smaller than α = 0.05. This result indicated that the mathematics conceptual understanding of the students taught by using MURDER technique of cooperative strategy collaborated with Number Heads was better than that of students taught by using conventional technique in which the level of the reliability was 95%.Â

ABSTRACTThis research was aimed at revealing the development of the studentsâ mathematics conceptual understanding and to know whether the mathematics conceptual understanding of the students taught by using Guided Note Taking active learning strategy was better than that of students taught by using conventional learning in class XI IPS of SMA PGRI 1 Padang. This was an experimental research which used random toward the subject design. Based on the result of data analysis, it was found that the mathematics conceptual understanding of the students improved from a meeting to next one. In addition, the result of t-test showed that the value of tcalculated (2,40) was bigger than ttable (1,675) in which α was 0,05. This result indicated that the mathematics conceptual understanding of the students taught by using Guided Note Taking active learning strategy was better than that of students taught by using conventional learning in class XI IPS of SMA PGRI 1 Padang.
