Abstract

The implementation of Learning Management System (LMS) at SMKN 3 Malang there are still problems encountered by students due to their low literacy power, appearance that is difficult to understand and users do not understand some features in the system. So that problems arise in the usability and learnability aspects of the LMS. Researchers compared usability on the two LMS used, which are Edmodo and Google Classroom, using the Cognitive Walkthrough method for testing usability and User Experience Questionnaire (UEQ) to get the user experience of students against the Google Classroom and Edmodo LMS. Respondents involved five students for the Cognitive Walkthrough test and 30 students for the User Experience Questionnaire (UEQ) method. Cognitive Walkthrough test results show the Google Classroom LMS has a total of eight problems, then on LMS Edmodo there are nine problems. On the results of the distribution of the UEQ questionnaire, Edmodo excelled in aspects perspicuity, dependability, stimulation, and novelty. While Google Classroom excels in aspects of attractiveness and efficiency. From these results, Google Classroom is more recommended for new users because it excels in the learnability aspect, but in terms of user experience, Edmodo is more recommended for use by students of SMKN 3 Malang in teaching and learning activities in class.

Abstract

Sentra Pelayanan Kepolisian Terpadu (SPKT) is a police unit in charge of providing services to the public in the form of acceptance and first handling of reports/complaints, assistance services/police officers in accordance with the provisions of applicable laws and regulations. Lost Reporting Application can facilitate the Integrated Police Service Center of Tulungagung in creating reports for public reporting and can analyze the types of reports that have been reported in realtime. Lost Reporting Application owned by Tulungagung Integrated Police Service Center, the appearance was improved using the Human-Centered Design (HCD) method, with the interview techniques that resulted in PACT analysis and persona, further tested with usability testing, and the results of improvements in the form of prototypes. Prototype and testing design have been running according to user context and user needs. In initial testing, the results of two respondents failed to work on two assignments, and the average respondent worked nine tasks by 10 minutes to 13 minutes. Final usability testing gets the average result of nine tasks by 9 minutes to 13 minutes without any failure of respondents to perform the task after design improvements. So this research has been done and can solve problems in reporting applications lose using the method of Human-Centered Design (HCD).

Abstract

This research applied quantitative approach and correlational research method in order to find out the influence of peer social support variables and learning discipline on the students learning outcomes in the subject of Wide Area Network (WAN) for students of Grade XI TKJ at SMK Negeri 6 Malang. In doing activities of field industrial practice, students face technical aspects of wired and wireless networks oftentimes. Besides, student understanding of network design and management is still considered as less, due to so this research took WAN subjects as the research area. The data of peer social support and learning discipline were obtained from the results of the questionnaire, while the data of student learning outcomes were obtained from the documentation of research. The study population included 68 students of Grade XI TKJ 2 and XI TKJ 3, SMK Negeri 6 Malang in which they also take parts as research samples (technique of saturation sampling). The classic assumption trial was performed firstly and the results of research data were normally distributed, linear and there were no symptoms of multicollinearity, and also the heteroscedasticity did not occur, so that the parametric statistical approach was applied in the data analysis. Thereafter, regression, correlation, and hypothesis tests were used in analyzing the data. The results showed that there was no influence from peer social support variables and learning discipline toward student learning outcomes, which meant that H0 was accepted. Whereas, the results of the regression significance numbers of the research variables partially or simultaneously obtained successive results of 0.241> 0.05; 0.117> 0.05; 0.233> 0.05.

Abstract

The purposes of this study are: 1) to determine the influence of lecture method assisted by Quizizz on the cognitive learning outcomes of students, 2) to determine whether or not there is an effect on the implementation of the lecture method assisted by Quizizz on students' psychomotor learning outcomes, 3) to determine the influence of the quality of lecture method assisted by Quizizz media on the students' cognitive and psychomotor learning outcomes. The significance of this research is to provide information on how the influence and implementation of the lecture method assisted by Quizizz on students' learning outcomes. This research uses a semi-experimental method using a pseudo-experimental method (quasi-experiment). Experimental Research is a study that aims to determine the presence or absence of a cause and effect relationship through the treatment of the experiment group and the controls in comparison. Based on research conducted in SMK 12 Malang obtained the result that 1) there is an influence of the lecture method assisted by Quizizz media to the students ' cognitive learning outcomes, 2) the implementation of Quizizz on lecture method does not influence the students' psychomotor learning outcomes, 3) there is an influence on the quality of lecture method assisted by Quizizz to the students ' cognitive and psychomotor learning outcomes.

Abstract

Kepuasan pengguna dalam menggunakan sebuah situs dapat dilihat dari usability atau kemudahan situs dalam digunakan. Untuk memenuhi kebutuhan mahasiswa seperti layanan mengunduh materi yang telah disampaikan di kelas oleh dosen, mengerjakan kuis, serta mengumpulkan tugas, Universitas Brawijaya mengembangkan Website Virtual Learning Management atau VLM UB. Namun, terdapat permasalahan dalam situs VLM Universitas Brawijaya yang dapat memengaruhi kepuasan pengguna terhadap situs. Permasalahan yang terjadi seperti desain situs yang tidak responsive apabila diakses pada perangkat bergerak. Oleh karena itu, dilakukan evaluasi usability guna menemukan permasalahan dan membuat perbaikan sehingga dapat memenuhi kebutuhan dan kepuasan pengguna. Tujuan dilakukannya evaluasi ini adalah untuk mengetahui permasalaan usability, memberikan rekomendasi perbaikan yang dapat dilakukan untuk mengatasi permasalahan usability, serta mengetahui perbandingan hasil evaluasi sebelum dan setelah dilakukan rekomendasi perbaikan menggunakan metode Heuristic Evaluation untuk menemukan permasalahan-permasalahan usability. Pengujian ini dilakukan oleh 3 evaluator yang merupakan seorang expert yang berpegang pada 13 prinsip heuristik yang telah disediakan. Selain itu, juga dilakukan penggalian masalah dan penilaian kuantitatif dari mahasiswa sebagai pengguna situs menggunakan kuesioner System Usability Scale(SUS). Hasil dari heuristic evaluation ditemukan 13 permasalahan dan juga rekomendasi yang menjadi bahan perbaikan. Perbaikan yang dilakukan didasarkan pada rekomendasi expert dan guidelines. Hasil dari pengujian setelah perbaikan, temuan masalah menurun dari 13 menjadi 5 temuan masalah serta naiknya skor SUS dari 44,17 menjadi 71. Temuan dari heuristic evaluation dan skor SUS menunjukkan adanya perbaikan dari situs setelah dilakukan evaluasi.

Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh permasalahan pada rendahnya tingkat pemahaman dan keterampilan siswa yang mengikuti pembelajaran pemrograman dasar. Tujuan penelitian yaitu membuktikan apakah implementasi metode pembelajaran PBI mempunyai pengaruh pada peningkatan hasil belajar siswa ranah kognitif dan psikomotor. Metode dalam penelitian yang dipakai adalah Quasi Eksperimental Method menggunakan Nonequivalent Control Group Design. Data dikumpulkan dengan instrumen tes untuk mendapatkan nilai pada ranah kognitif dan praktikum yang terdapat pada jobsheet untuk mendapatkan nilai pada ranah psikomotor. Pengujian yang digunakan yaitu pengujian independent sample t-test dan paired sample t-test. Hasil pengujian memperoleh nilai yaitu 0,000 kurang dari 0,05 yang memiliki arti terdapat perbedaan nilai pretest kognitif dengan posttest kognitif dan adanya perbedaan nilai pretest psikomotor dengan posttest psikomotor, maka diperoleh kesimpulan bahwa metode pembelajaran PBI memilki pengaruh terhadap peningkatan hasil belajar kognitif dan psikomotorik.

Abstract

SIP Dispendukcapil Jember adalah aplikasi mobile yang dikembangkan oleh Dinas Kependudukan dan Pencatatan Sipil Kabupaten Jember yang digunakan sebagai sarana untuk melakukan layanan penduduk secara online. Berdasarkan hasil wawancara kepada pengembang dan pengguna aplikasi terdapat beberapa keluhan terkait dengan aplikasi SIP yang berkaitan dengan aspek usability. Evaluasi dilakukan dengan menggunakan dua metode yaitu usability testing dengan aspek effectiveness, efficiency dan satisfaction yang dilakukan oleh responden dan heuristic evaluation dengan menggunakan sembilan prinsip heuristic yang dilakukan oleh evalutor. Berdasarkan hasil evaluasi yang telah dilakukan, diperoleh 19 permasalahan usability. 14 permasalahan ditemukan pada saat melakukan heuristic evaluation dan 5 permasalan ditemukan pada saat usability testing. Evaluasi dilakukan dengan menggunakan dua metode tersebut menemukan 3 permasalahan usability yang sama. Pengujian usability menghasilkan tingkat effectiviness sebesar 80%, efficiency sebesar 67% dan satisfaction dengan rata-rata 45,62. Permasalahan usability dengan menggunakan heuristic evaluation berdasarkan 9 prinsip Monroy. Masalah ditemukan paling banyak pada prinsip MA04 achieve consistency dan MA06 have the app remember important stuff and not the user masing-masing sebanyak 4 permasalahan. Secara keseluruhan pada heuristic evaluation ditemukan masalah sebanyak 14. Permasalahan usability ditemukan 3 permasalahan pada kategori minor usability problem, 6 permasalahan mayor usability problem dan 5 permasalahan usability catsastrophe.

Abstract

The problem in class X SMK Negeri 5 Malang is the lack of student synergy when learning takes place, also the results of learning knowledge have not experienced a significant increase. The Numbered Head Together (NHT) type of learning model has not been able to increase student enthusiasm and grades. The use of other learning model variations is useful for overcoming problems that occur. The purpose of this research is to find out the different effects on the application of Student Teams Achievement Division learning models compared to NHT. The method uses Quasi Experiment method or quasi-experimental using the None-Equivalent Control Group research design. The instrument used is in the form of written test questions. The results of normality test data found abnormal data, the researchers used nonparameteric statistical tests. Hypothesis testing using the Man Whitney and Wilcoxon test method as an alternative t test was performed using SPSS software. The results give the conclusion that both models have a role in increasing learning outcomes. Using the STAD model produces a higher average learning outcomes with a value of 86.56 than the Numbered Head Together learning model has an average of 77.88. Because the two models have differences, the difference seen in STAD applies a point and reward that is useful to provide stimulus and motivation to students.

Abstract

Retrieval of data has the objective to carry out the development of interactive digital modules while on the basis of the website to enhance the process of achieving competency expertise and find out how feasible, efficient and effective the product is as supporting the learning process of VOC Network System Administration in the discussion of virtual private networks. The data collection method used is Research and Development using the Borg, Gall & Gall framework. The object in data collection is 12th grade SMK Negeri 12 Malang students 1. Based on the results of data retrieval, the validity of the material expert stated 3.47 (valid). The acquisition of validity of media experts stated 3.48 (valid). Obtaining the validity of the learning implementation plan stated 3.1 (valid enough). Obtaining validity about the pre-test post-test stated 3.58 (valid). The acquisition of student response questionnaire stated 3.27 (valid). To realize the increased achievement of knowledge competencies carried out while submitting pre-test and post-test. Through the calculated Z value and Z table, the results of the assessment on the virtual private network lessons calculated using the Wilcoxon Test obtained the calculated Z value as large as -4.10 and the Z value as large as 0.00001. The acquisition of Z count has a value smaller than the value of the Z table, so it can be stated that the acquisition of post test is better than the acquisition of pre test. The results obtained from the previous information, data collection shows that the development of interactive digital modules based on the website on virtual private network material is feasible, efficient and effective in the learning process and may be used as a learning process media in order to improve the achievement of students' knowledge competencies.

Abstract

E-Kinerja of Kediri Regency is an E-Government information system application that can record and report the performance of Kediri Regency Government employees. Based on interviews with application users, there are several usability issues faced by users. Usability issues can reduce user productivity in using the application. Therefore, an evaluation to find and solve usability issues in a user interface is needed. Heuristic Evaluation is a method of usability evaluation that involves experts as evaluators to assess elements at an interface based on the heuristic usability principle. The heuristic usability principle used by evaluators in this study is nine principles proposed by Monroy. The evaluators assess the severity rating of each usability issues with a scale value of 1-5. The evaluation was carried out in three stages, i.e. the first evaluation, recommendation for improvement (making recommendations, designing a wireframe, and making a high-fidelity prototype design), and the second evaluation. The first evaluation and the second evaluation were conducted by the same three evaluators. The first evaluation provides 23 usability issues while the second evaluation provides two usability issues that consists of two new usability issues and three old usability issues that still exist.
