Abstract

Pemodelan matematika merupakan jantung dari pemecahan matematis. Agar siswa mampu memecahkan masalah dengan baik, maka mereka harus mampu berpikir secara kritis. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui apakah terdapat hubungan yang positif dan signifikan antara kemampuan berpikir kritis dengan kemampuan pemodelan matematika siswa. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian kuantitatif dengan metode analisis korelasi. Sampel yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini sebanyak 35 orang siswa kelas VIII.9 SMPN 10 Palembang. Prosedur penelitian ini terdiri dari 3 tahap yaitu tahap persiapan, tahap pelaksanaan, dan tahap akhir. Teknik pengumpulan data dalam penelitian ini  menggunakan tes tertulis. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian ini diperoleh nilai sig (0.021) < (0.05) dengan nilai korelasi sebesar 0.388. Sehingga dapat disimpulkan bahwa terdapat hubungan yang positif dan signifikan antara kemampuan berpikir kritis dan kemampuan pemodelan matematika siswa. Adapun kontribusi kemampuan berpikir kritis terhadap kemampuan pemodelan matematika adalah sebesar 15,1%.Mathematical modeling is the heart of mathematical problem solving. In order for students to be able to solve problems well, they need to be able to think critically.  This study aims to determine whether there is a positive and significant correlation between critical thinking skills and students' mathematical modeling abilities. This type of research is quantitative research with correlation analysis method. The sample used in this study were 35 students of class VIII.9 SMPN 10 Palembang. This research procedure consists of 3 stages, namely the preparation stage, the implementation stage, and the final stage. The data collection technique in this study used a written test. Based on the results of this study obtained the value of sig (0.021) < (0.05) with a correlation value of 0.388. Then it can be concluded that there is a positive and significant relationship between critical thinking skills and students' mathematical modeling abilities. The contribution of critical thinking skills to mathematical modeling abilities is 15.1%.

Abstract

This study aims to look at and describe students' representation abilities in the matter of a system of two-variable linear equations (SPLDV) after the application of the Problem Based Learning (PBL) model. The research method used was descriptive with quantitative and qualitative data analysis according to the indicators of mathematical representation. This research was conducted at SMPN 6 Indralaya Utara in class VIII 1 involving 28 students as subjects. Data collection was carried out by giving tests in the form of description questions and the results of interviews with students. The collected data was subsequently examined using scoring criteria that make reference to indicators of mathematical representation. After that, the outcome of the data analysis was divided into three groups: high, medium, and low. Based on the results of data analysis, it was found that students' mathematical representation abilities in the matter of a two-variable linear equation system after the implementation of the PBL model were in the medium category with an average score of 51.12 and an average score for the symbolic representation indicator that was 75, visual representation 48 .21 and verbal 33.04.

Abstract

Tujuan dalam penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui pengaruh penerapan model pembelajaran berbasis masalah (Problem base learning) pada materi perkembangan teknologi komunikasi dan praja muda karana terhadap hasil belajar peserta didik kelas III di SD Negeri 94 Palembang. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan merupakan penelitian tindakan kelas (PTK) menggunakan model kemmis dan McTanggart melalui 4 tahap dimulai dari perencanaan, pelaksanaan, observasi serta refleksi. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan adalah analisis kuantitatif. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian yang telah dilakukan di kelas III dengan menerapkan model pembelajaran berbasis masalah (problem based learning) menujukkan bahwa terjadi peningkatan hasil belajar peserta didik yaitu 78,8. Persentase peserta didik yang mencapai KKM pada siklus 1 yaitu sebesar 67%. Lalu dilanjutkan pada siklus 2 hasil belajar peserta didik mencapai 89,6 dan presentasi peserta didik yang mencapai KKM adalah 96%.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk melihat dan mendeskripsikan kemampuan representasi matematis siswa pada materi Persamaan Linier Satu Variabel (PLSV) setelah diterapkan model Collaborative Problem Solving (CPS). Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah deskriptif dengan analisis data secara kuantitatif dan kualitatif sesuai dengan indikator representasi matematis. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan di SMP Negeri 6 Indralaya Utara di kelas VII.1 dengan melibatkan sebanyak 16 siswa sebagai subjeknya. Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan memberikan tes tertulis berupa soal uraian dan hasil wawancara dengan siswa. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan meliputi memeriksa tes uraian merujuk pada indikator representasi matematis yaitu visual, simbolik dan verbal. Data yang telah terkumpul kemudian dianalisis berdasarkan pedoman penskoran yang merujuk pada indikator representasi matematis. Hasil analisis data selanjutnya dikelompokkan menjadi tiga kategori yaitu tinggi, sedang, dan rendah. Berdasarkan hasil analisis data didapatkan bahwa kemampuan representasi matematis siswa pada materi persamaan linier satu variabel setelah diterapkannya model CPS berada dikategori sedang dengan nilai rata-rata sebesar 59,687 dan skor rata-rata untuk indikator representasi visual yaitu sebesar 71,093, representasi simbolik 60,156, dan verbal 35,937.This study aims to look at and describe students' mathematical representation abilities in the One Variable Linear Equation (PLSV) material after applying the Collaborative Problem Solving (CPS) model. The data analysis technique used includes examining the description test referring to indicators of mathematical representation, namely visual, symbolic and verbal. The data that has been collected is then analyzed based on scoring guidelines that refer to indicators of mathematical representation. The results of the data analysis are then grouped into three categories, namely high, medium, and low. Based on the results of data analysis, it was found that students' mathematical representation abilities in the material of one-variable linear equations after the implementation of the CPS model were in the moderate category with an average score of 59.687 and an average score for visual representation indicators that was 71.093, symbolic representation 60.156, and verbal 35.937.

Abstract

Penelitian ini dilakukan berdasarkan adanya temuan terhadap kesulitan siswa SMP Negeri 6 Indralaya Utara dalam menyelesaikan soal cerita matematika. Salah satu solusi yang bisa diterapkan adalah melalui penggunaan model Pembelajaran Berbasis Masalah (PBM). Penelitian ini tujuannya untuk mengetahui kemampuan siswa dalam menyelesaikan soal cerita Operasi Himpunan setelah diterapkan model PBM. Penelitian ini termasuk penelitian deskriptif kuantitatif kualitatif. Subjek penelitian sebanyak 22 orang siswa kelas VII.2 SMPN 6 Indralaya Utara. Data dikumpulkan dengan teknik tes dan wawancara. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kemampuan penyelesaian masalah siswa tergolong sedang. Skor rata-rata indikator tertinggi adalah merencanakan penyelesaian sebesar 53 dan indikator terendah adalah memeriksa kembali dengan skor rata-rata 26. Subjek berkemampuan tinggi memenuhi keempat indikator penyelesaian masalah dengan tepat. Sedangkan subjek berkemampuan sedang memenuhi semua indikator, dengan sebagian jawaban keliru. Sementara subjek berkemampuan rendah hanya memenuhi indikator merencanakan dan melaksanakan rencana dengan jawaban yang masih banyak keliru.AbstractThis study was conducted based on the findings of students’ difficulties that SMPN 6 Indralaya Utara in solving math word problems. The solution is applying Problem-Based Learning (PBL) model. The study aims to assess students’ ability to solve Set Operation word problems after applying the PBL model. This study is descriptive, quantitatively and qualitatively. The subjects were 22 students in grade VII.2 at SMPN 6 Indralaya Utara. Data were collected using test and interview techniques. The results of this study show that the students’ ability in solving word problems is categorized as medium. The highest average indicator score is devising a plan 53. The lowest average indicator score looks back about 26. High-ability subjects correctly fulfill the four problem-solving indicators. Medium-ability subjects also fulfill the four indicators with some correct answers. Then, low-ability subjects only fulfill indicators of plans and do with wrong answers.

Abstract

Penelitian ini adalah penelitian kuantitatif yang bertujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan antara pemahaman konsep dengan kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa SMA kelas XI di Kecamatan Tebing Tinggi pada pokok bahasan matriks. Data penelitian diperoleh melalui instrumen tes kemampuan pemahaman konsep dan tes kemampuan berpikir kritis. Sampel pada penelitian ini adalah 62 siswa kelas XI IPA 1 pada tiga SMA di Tebing Tinggi. Kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa mengacu pada 4 kategori yaitu: interpretasi, analisis, evaluasi dan inferensi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa ada hubungan yang positif dan signifikan antara kemampuan pemahaman konsep dengan kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa. Dimana terdapat korelasi yang positif kategori rendah antara kemampuan pemahaman konsep dengan kemampuan berpikir kritis, dengan hasil koefisien korelasi sebesar 0,392. Sedangkan pada uji korelasi r square diperoleh persentase sebesar 15,2% artinya pada keempat kemampuan berpikir kritis yaitu interpretasi, analisis, evaluasi dan inferensi tergolong sangat rendah untuk materi matriks. Maka dapat disimpulkan bahwa kemampuan  berpikir kritis matematis peserta didik masih tergolong sangat rendah.

Abstract

The aim of the research is to describe the results of designing number pattern questions used to measure the mathematical thinking abilities of students with a kinesthetic learning style. The research subjects consisted of 5 class VIII students with a kinesthetic learning style. The type of research is design research with 5 stages, namely: Preliminary Design, Focus Group Discussion (FGD), Trial, Interview, and Retrospective Analysis. The data collection techniques are learning style questionnaires, tests and interviews. The data analysis used in the research is qualitative. Based on the results of the FGD, number pattern questions can be used to measure mathematical thinking abilities, because each question leads students to bring up specializing, generalizing, conjecturing and convincing aspects. Based on the test results, it is known that students can write specializing, generalizing, conjecturing, and convincing forms. Specializing is seen when students write the form of adding numbers for each term. Generalizing is seen when students find patterns by listing them one by one or using tables, conjecturing when they find the general formula, and convincing is seen when they find other ways to prove the answer. Based on the results of the interview, students' answers were obtained through the activity of managing and simulating questions using body parts.

Abstract

Salah satu strategi untuk melakukan pembuktian geometri adalah strategi two-column proof atau dikenal sebagai strategi pembuktian dua kolom. Guru-guru matematika di Kabupaten Musi Banyuasin masih menghadapi kesulitan untuk melakukan pembuktian geometri, hal tersebut dikarenakan kurangnya pemahaman konsep dasar pembuktian geometri, keterbatasan sumber belajar, serta kurangnya dukungan dari lingkungan belajar. Padahal, untuk dapat mendampingi peserta didik dalam melakukan pembuktian geometri, guru perlu memahami dengan baik materi pembuktian geometri. Mengingat pentingnya peran guru dalam mengajarkan pembuktian geometri, Prodi Pendidikan Matematika FKIP Universitas Sriwijaya melaksanakan program Pengabdian kepada Masyarakat (PkM) yang bertujuan untuk melatih dan memberikan pengalaman kepada guru matematika tentang pembuktian geometri melalui kegiatan pelatihan secara synchronous maupun asynchronous. Adapun peserta PkM ini adalah guru-guru Matematika yang tergabung dalam kelompok MGMP Matematika Kabupaten Musi Banyuasin sejumlah 15 orang. Berdasarkan kegiatan PkM dapat disimpulkan bahwa: (1) secara umum terdapat peningkatan kemampuan pembuktian geometri guru peserta PkM setelah mengikuti kegiatan pelatihan, (2) kemampuan pembuktian geometri guru peserta PkM termasuk dalam kategori level 3 dan level 4 Van Hiele, yakni Informal Deduction dan Deduction, serta (3) adanya respon yang sangat baik terhadap kegiatan PkM. Tindak lanjut dari kegiatan ini adalah disarankan untuk menerapkan strategi two-column proof dalam pembelajaran pembuktian geometri dengan peserta didik secara berkelanjutan.

Abstract

This article reports a study that applies Social Emotional Learning (SEL) to increase the learning motivation of class III.B students at SD Negeri 94 Palembang. SEL is a learning process that aims to recognize and process emotions and build good relationships with others and be able to make responsible decisions. Meanwhile, learning motivation is the drive that a person has to achieve a goal, indicated by changes in attitudes, skills, and understanding. This research uses Classroom Action Research (CAR) using the Kemmis and Mac research design models. Taggart. The research subjects totaled 24 students, consisting of 15 boys and 9 girls. The general description of learning motivation in pre-cycle only reaches 40.63% which is relatively low. Whereas in cycle I there was an increase reaching a percentage of 64.67% which was classified as moderate. Continuing in cycle II, learning motivation increased to 72.93% and was classified as moderate. Up to cycle III there was an increase of up to 81.25% which was relatively high. This proves that there is an increase in the learning motivation of class III.B students at SD Negeri 94 Palembang by implementing Social Emotional Learning (SEL).

Abstract

This study aims to describe the development of learning media for Android-based elementary school mathematics educational games for mathematics lessons in elementary schools. From the results of this study, the research method chosen is the waterfaal method, with a development model consisting of 5 stages, namely: (1) planning stage, (2) design stage, (3) manufacture stage, (4) testing stage, (5 ) Implementation Phase. The results of the determination show that the Android-based educational game teaching facility for elementary school mathematics is feasible to use for learning elementary school mathematics. The design of this application is specifically for students as users. The application is designed for a running system that will be built in the form of a Use Case.
