Abstract

Abstract: This research discusses about compound verb of ~dasu, and its equivalent in Indonesian. The purpose of the research is to describe kind of verb could accompany verb of dasu, the meanings of its, and its equivalent in Indonesian. Data in this research is sentences that contain compound verb of ~dasu selected from Nihongo Bunkei Ziten and corpus data. This study is used translational equivalent method and sorting determinat technique. The result of this research indicate that the kind of verb that dasu verbs can be accompanied to dasu is continuative verb, movement verb, stative verb, and muishi doushi. Compound verb of ~dasu meaning is the process of starting verbs, transfer from inside to outside, inward movement (towards the speaker), find, and change.Compound verb of ~dasu meaning is the process of starting verbs is equivalent with the word starting before the equivalent which is accompanied to dasu. Equivalent of of transfer from inside to outside’s meaning is is paired according to the verb that accompanied it and the meaning it contains. While the equivalent that carry the inward movement (towards the speakers) meaning and find meaning equivalent with the same equivalent verbs accompanied to dasu. Verbs that carry the meaning of change are affixed –me to the equivalent of the basic form of the verb accompanied to dasu.Key words: Compound, Verb, Equivalent

Abstract

Abstract: The research discussed about the imperative sentence meirei in Geat Teacher Onizuka drama by Toru Fujisawa in 2010 years. The aim of this research is to know the kinds of imperative sentence meirei in Great Teacher Onizuka drama and using in Japanese people that finds in drama. The object of this research is the imperative sentence meirei in Great Teacher Onizuka drama. This research is a qualitative research which used descriptive method. The result of this research indicate there are six kinds of imperative sentence in this drama based of meirei no hyougen theory which are using imperative verb e, ro, shiro/koi, added ~nasai in verb and auxiliary, pattern o~kudasai, add koto/youni after verb and adverb, descriptive sentence that to be imperative sentence by self ~te, imperative expression directly that impressed be explicit pattern ~te kudasai, ~te kure, and o~negaimasu. Then, there are many user people’s group and relationship between user imperative sentence meirei is: intimate degree relationship, age, social relationship, status relationship, gender, in-group and out-group, situation.Keyword: Imperative sentence, meirei, drama, Great Teacher Onizuka, Sociolinguistics

Abstract

Abstract : This research describes the error in morphology which is done by second student of Japanese Language Education Department University Of Riau. This research uses quantitative and qualitative description methode. Error analysis by Heidi Dulay (1981) is the theory which is used in this research. The theory consists 5 kinds of error,that are omission, addition, missformation, alternating form, and misordering. The error data is got from 28 of students result of essays in sakubun II class which topic are「楽しい一日」 and 「日本でびっくりっしたこと」. According to data analysis result, there are 4 errors: omission as many as 27 errors, addition as many as 8 errors, missformation as many as 54 errors and alternating from as many as 1 errors. In conclusion, the error which appears at most is missformation error, while alternating form error is the least. From interview result and connection in all of sakubun, there are mistake and error classification. There are 96 mistakes in mistake, while 70 mistakes in error.Keywords : Error Analysis, Sakubun, Morphology.

Abstract: The research discussed about the code switching in Darin Wa Gaikokujin movie. The aim of this research is to know the kinds of code switching in Darin Wa Gaikokujin movie and the function of code switching in Darin Wa Gaikokujin movie. The object of this research is the sentences which have code switching in Darin Wa Gaikokujin movie. This research is a qualitative research which used descriptive method. The results of this research indicate; there are three kinds of code switching in this movie, which are inter-sentential switching, intra-sentential switching and tag switching and then there are eight function of code switching, existing in the analysis of data, which include Reiteration, Aggravating massage, Personalization, Substitution, Emphasis, Clarification, Interjection, Parenthesis, Quotation dan Topic shift.Key Word : Code switching, Movie, Darin Wa Gaikokujin

Abstract

Abstract: The research discussed about the translation of idioms which contained in Hayate no Gotoku comic volume 36. The aim of this research is to know how the use of strategies and procedures in translation of idiom. The theories used in this research are translation strategies of idiom according to Baker (1992) and translation procedures according to Newmark (1988). The object of this research is Hayate no Gotoku comic volume 36 as the source language and translated comic into Indonesia language entitled Hayate the Combat Butler volume 36 as the target language. This research is a qualitative research which used descriptive method. The result of this research show that from 15 idioms, the strategies found that were, 1 idiom is translated by using an idiom of similiar meaning and form, 5 idioms are translated by using an idiom of similiar meaning but dissimiliar form, 8 idioms are translated by paraphrase, 1 idiom is translated by omission. Futhermore, the procedures found that were, 11 idioms are translated by free modulation procedure, 3 idioms are translated by standard modulation, and 1 idiom is translated by cultural equivalent procedure. Based on these results, the most commonly found translation strategies of idiom is translation by paraphrase and the most commonly found procedure is transpotition.Key Word : Idiom translation, Strategies, Procedures, Comic, Hayate the Combat Butler

Abstract

Abstract : In Japanese language, there is word called onomatopoiea or artificial sounds made of an object or living things sounds deprived of the vocabularies which are frequently used either in daily conversations or various media. The example of the artificial sounds of non-living things are jabujabu (artificial sounds and action of splashing water) and barabara (artificial sounds of the hailstone or acorns falling to the ground); and the example of artificial sounds of the living things are: nikoniko (artificial sounds of someone smiling happily), and dokidoki (artificial of pounding heart ) etc. The feeling artificial sounds are usually called gijougo. This research aims to describe the variation of using gijougo to in daily life. This research uses Japanese onomatopoeia which describe feeling (gijougo) as background study and emotion sign; and descriptive as the resesarch method. The data is collected  through comprehensive reading of Doraemon volume 1-45 and classified based on http://nihonjiten.com/nihongo/giongo/. Data is analyzed by comprehending the story context of Doraemon 1-45 to find out the cognitive meaning. From the research, the use, the form, and the meaning of gijougo can be determined. Abstract

Abstract: The research describes about the function and meaning of the forms~ていくand ~てくる. The purpose of this research is to help students and other learners to understand the function and meaning of the forms ~ていくand ~てくるand they can use this forms in the correct situation.In Japanese grammatical[1]the form of ~teiku ( ~ていく) and~te kuru (~てくる)refers to connection between speaker potition on time or movement of the action.The form~teiku ( ~ていく) and~te kuru (~てくる)have a diffirent function,the form~teiku ( ~ていく) has several uses related to movement of the action of the place or time away from the speaker, and the form~te kuru (~てくる)which indicates movement in place or time towards the speaker.Tomomatsu said the function of the ~teiku ( ~ていく) and~te kuru (~てくる) there are eight function in different situation.Theory in this research is the function of the form~teiku ( ~ていく) and~te kuru (~てくる)theory by Tomomatsu. Descriptive method is the method that applied in this research. The writer used the data from Japanese anime with title Sket Dance.The result of this research is the function of the forms ~ていくand ~てくる in anime Sket Dance are function for explain the continuous situations, to explain that doing activity when go, movement activity, go and come back to the first place, movement draw to the speaker, to explain make the scene, and to explain the change of situation. There are ten function in different situation, and the situation can influence the function of the forms ~ていくand ~てくる. Abstract

Abstract: This study discusses the stylistics analysis on novel Kaze no uta o kike by Haruki Murakami. The purpose of this study was to knowing the figures of speech especially simile in this novel, to knowing lexical meaning and stylistics meaning. The object of research is figures in the novel Kaze no uta o kike was written Haruki Murakami. This study is qualitative descriptive by interpreting the object under study based on the theory of stylistics meaning proposed by Djajasudarma (2013). Data obtained by noted the figures simile sentence in the novel, to analyze it was in terms of the lexical meaning and stylistics meaning. From the result of research, in the novel Kaze no uta o kike there are 11 sentence that show figure of speech simile. Stylistics meaning contained in this simile figure of speech, tells about the social conditions that occurred around 1970 in Japan. At that time, Japan was getting a great influence on the American. Both in terms of industry, economy, patterns of life, or habits in daily life.Key Word: Stylistics, simile

Abstract

Abstract: The purpose of this research is to know about the idiom and metaphor from phrases that used abura (oil). The phrases research data used abura word that obtained from Reikai Kanyouku Jiten dictionary and Koujien Japanese-Japanese dictionary, and the sample data obtained from www.kotonoha.gr.jp/shonagon/ and www.aozora.gr.jp/. The theory used in the idiom analysis is semantic theory from Dedi Sutedi (2011) about metaphor from Lakoff and Johnson (1980). The result of this study are phrases that used abura word only one and no one has simultaneously form. There are seven phrases abura which are form of idioms and are phrases for metaphorical form.Key Words : Idiom, metaphor, abura
