Abstract

This study aims to determine whether the work experience in mediating the influence of teamwork on the work effectiveness of the employees of PT. Bank SUMUT Medan. The population in the study were employees of the marketing division (Funding Officer and Account Officer) at PT Bank Sumut Medan totaling 196 people and a sample of 132 respondents who were determined by proportional random sampling technique from 3 branch offices namely Medan Main Branch Office, Medan Iskandar Muda Branch Office, and Medan Sukaramai Branch Office. The analysis technique used is Mediated Regression Analysis (MRA). The results showed that work experience mediates the effect of teamwork on the work effectiveness of employees at PT. Bank SUMUT Medan. The suggestions are to improve teamwork at PT. Bank SUMUT Medan, the leadership needs to make intense and effective communication and cooperation beetween employees in order to contribute the progress of the company. There are needs to facilitate joint activities in the company either through games, recreation, problem solving, and others that can build good relationships, grow a sense of belonging, mutual support, and mutual trust in a work team.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze: (1) the influence of work engagement and transactional leadership on public service worker satisfaction, (2) the influence of work engagement on public service worker satisfaction moderated by organizational justice, and (3) the influence of transactional leadership on public service worker satisfaction moderated by organizational justice. The study was conducted at the Tirtanadi Medan Regional Drinking Water Company (PDAM Tirtanadi Medan), one of the Regional-Owned Enterprises in the North Sumatra Provincial Government that serves the drinking water needs of the community. The type of explanatory research with a quantitative approach. The population of this study was PDAM Tirtanadi Medan, totaling 266 people, and a sample of 144 people based on calculations using the Slovin formula. Proportional random sampling was used in determining the sample. Primary data collection was carried out by distributing questionnaires. Data were analyzed using multiple regression methods and Moderated Regression Analysis. The results of the study prove that: (1) work engagement and transactional leadership have a significant effect on public service worker satisfaction with a large effect of 27.4%, (2) work engagement does not have a significant effect on public service worker satisfaction moderated by organizational justice, (3) likewise transactional leadership does not have a significant effect on public service worker satisfaction moderated by organizational justice. The organizational justice variable does not act as a moderating variable in this study. The dimensions of organizational justice that contribute to low job satisfaction are procedural and interactional justice.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of job autonomy and trust in leadership on innovative work behavior, to determine whether self-efficacy moderates the effect of job autonomy on innovative work behavior, to determine whether self-efficacy moderates the effect of trust in leadership on innovative work behavior at the National Land Agency. The number of samples in this study was 122 respondents. The analysis technique used was MRA. The results of the study indicate that job autonomy and trust in leadership have a positive and significant effect on innovative work behavior, self-efficacy does not moderate the effect of job autonomy on self-behavior and self-efficacy does not moderate the effect of trust in leadership on innovative work behavior at the National Land Agency.

Abstract

Studies in strategic human resource management emphasize the contribution of human and human resource management to organizational performance achievement. Human and organizational capitals are strategic capability and mechanism to create value in an organization.This paper seeks to identify an interactive relationship between human and organizational capital in strategic human resource management theoretically, which so far, have not got adequate attention, particularly in a systemic relationship. Library research has been conducted either through books, articles and previous studies related to the issues have been analyzed. It is found that there is an interactive relationship between human resource system as an element of organizational capital and role behavior as an element of human capital, in strategic human resource management, systemically. Organizational capital refers to a human resource system can enhance the strategic value of human capital through their role behavior. Role behavior, then, not only is positioned as an output, but also an input for the desired human resource system, as organizational capital. The result of the theoretical study needs to be followed up by empirical research, to validate the proposed interactive relationship between human and organizational capital.
