Abstract

The length of employment and the level of employee education significantly affect how employees carry out their tasks, particularly the use of self-protection devices (APD) in hospitals. APD usage is essential for reducing risks, especially for road care workers who face high infection risks due to the daily turnover and delayed treatment of patients. Unlike general hospital patients who stay for an average of two to five days, road care workers encounter new patients constantly, increasing their infection risk. This study aims to examine the impact of employment length and education level on APD compliance among RSUD road care employees in Karanganyar district. Using quantitative methods, the research was conducted at RSUD Karanganyar, involving 64 road care workers selected through stratified and random sampling. Data were collected via questionnaires and analyzed using double linear regression. The results indicated that both employment length and education level significantly influence APD compliance among RSUD road care workers, with a significance value of 0.049 < 0.05. In conclusion, both work duration and educational background play a crucial role in ensuring APD compliance among these workers.

Abstract

A just energy transition requires not only technological shifts toward clean energy but also social inclusion and fairness in the world of work. Trade unions play a dual role—protecting workers while shaping energy policy and advancing social justice—yet their strategic contributions remain understudied, especially in comparisons between developed and developing countries. This study conducts a Systematic Literature Review (SLR) using the PRISMA protocol on 25 peer-reviewed publications (2015–2025). Trade union strategies are interpreted using Kalt’s (2022) typology—oppositional, reactive, affirmative, transformational—and analyzed through six empowerment dimensions: structural, organizational, advocacy/negotiation, socio-cultural, economic, and ideological. Findings show unions in developed countries predominantly adopt affirmative and transformational strategies, engaging in reskilling initiatives, climate negotiations, and institutionalized social dialogue. Conversely, unions in developing countries rely more on oppositional or reactive strategies due to limited institutional capacity and weaker bargaining positions amid rapid transition policies. The study underscores the need for multidimensional empowerment to strengthen unions’ ability to influence policy and safeguard workers during decarbonization. These insights offer practical implications for policymakers and labor organizations committed to equity, sustainability, and socio-ecological justice in energy transitions.

Abstract

In the context of digital development, digital education policy requires synergy between individuals and institutions. The Indonesian government has implemented various policies to promote digital transformation within the education system, aiming to improve the quality of civics education, expand access to education, and foster the development of good citizenship. Teachers’ perceptions of digital education policy are a key factor in determining the effectiveness of policy implementation in the classroom. This study aims to analyze teachers’ perceptions of digital education policy in civics educations learning, using a qualitative descriptive approach with a case study method. Data were collected through interviews and a teacher perception questionnaire adapted from cognitive theory. The validity of the data was tested using technique and source triangulation. The findings show that teachers generally have a positive view of digital education policy. They believe that internal student factors and the diversity of digital media influence learning success. However, 50% of teachers have not yet implemented digital media across all civics education materials. This indicates a need for greater convergence between education policy development and the practice of technology-based civics education learning in the classroom.
