Abstract

The distribution company for agricultural, construction, and infrastructure equipment is experiencing delays in the supply of units, which can lead to resource depletion and potentially cause customer loss. Supply delays represent a form of waste that must be eliminated. This study aims to identify the causes of the delays using the waste assessment model approach. Data was collected through questionnaires and interviews conducted with assembly supervisors and team leaders. Data processing utilized the waste assessment model, which consists of the waste relationship matrix (WRM) and the waste assessment questionnaire (WAQ). The WRM results indicated a strong correlation between defects, processes, overproduction, and inventory, while the WAQ results showed the largest waste occurred in inventory, motion, and waiting. The highest waste in this study was identified as defects, inventory, and motion. The results of this research are expected to provide effective recommendations to reduce supply delays and improve the company's operational efficiency. Consequently, the company can maintain and even enhance customer satisfaction, as well as optimize the distribution process of agricultural, construction, and infrastructure equipment. Abstract

This research introduces the concept of trapezoidal fuzzy soft sets as a new approach to decision-making under uncertain conditions. By combining the principles of soft set theory and fuzzy set theory, particularly trapezoidal fuzzy numbers, this concept enables a more objective representation of linguistic judgment. This research defines the basic operations, including complement, “AND,” and “OR,” in trapezoidal fuzzy soft sets and formulates a decision-making algorithm that incorporates weighted normalization and positive/negative ideal fuzzy objects. The approach is applied to Multi-Criteria Decision Making (MCDM) problems under fuzzy conditions, comparing it with traditional methods. Through detailed examples and theoretical proofs, this research demonstrates the advantages of trapezoidal fuzzy soft sets in capturing linguistic ambiguity and improving decision-making accuracy. Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effect of digital promotional content quality, price, and customer experience on purchase intention of preloved products. There is a growing market for pre-owned goods due to the fact that they are both economically beneficial and environmentally friendly. To increase the likelihood that a consumer will make a purchase, digital marketers rely on two factors: the attractiveness of promotional content and the availability of competitive prices and excellent customer service. An online poll was used to collect quantitative data from one hundred people who have shopped for used goods through various marketplaces and social media. Linear regression analyses were performed on the data. The study found that factors such as pricing, customer service, and the quality of digital promotional content significantly impact the inclination to buy used products. In order to enhance their digital marketing tactics, preloved company actors can put these results into practice. By optimizing the visual quality and information of promotional content, setting appropriate prices, and creating a pleasant customer experience, business actors can increase consumer appeal and loyalty to preloved products. This study also opens up opportunities for further research on other factors that can influence purchase intention in the preloved industry.

Abstract

This study evaluates the effectiveness of Distribution Requirements Planning (DRP) integrated with ARIMA time series forecasting to support delivery scheduling decisions and the determination of minimum inventory levels. As a representative case study, a 60-month sales series of Ultra-Pure Water was used to simulate fluctuating retail demand across the agent–depot network. The Augmented Dickey–Fuller test confirmed stationarity (p = 0.0142), allowing candidate ARIMA (p, 0, q) models to be evaluated using ACF/PACF and information criteria. The best model was ARIMA (1,0,1), which had the lowest Akaike Information Criterion and passed diagnostic tests (normal residuals, no autocorrelation, no heteroscedasticity), making it suitable for operational forecasting. Projection results indicated a stable demand pattern and yielded a safety stock threshold of 733.24 units/month (equivalent to 24.44 units/day) as a reference for inventory control. These findings demonstrate that the DRP–ARIMA integration can enhance supply reliability and distribution efficiency, particularly for subsidized goods such as 3 kg LPG, with practical implications for determining adaptive inventory levels, delivery routes and frequency, and upstream–downstream coordination. Theoretically, this study provides additional empirical evidence on the use of quantitative forecasting models to operationalize DRP in the energy sector, while also providing a foundation for replication in other critical commodities.

Abstract

The rapid growth of manufacturing demands continuous process improvement. This study examines a plastic manufacturing company’s Mouldshop, which has not met performance targets an average lead time of 52 days (target 50 days) and a 75% success rate (target 93%) and struggles to achieve the desired surface finish quality of plastic molds. An integrated Value Stream Mapping (VSM) and Six Sigma DMAIC approach is applied to visualize end-to-end process flows (VA/NNVA/NVA), quantify performance gaps, analyze root causes (Fishbone with the 4M Man, Machine, Material, Method), and design improvements. VSM reveals three dominant wastes defects, inappropriate processing, and waiting linked to six critical failure causes spanning operator capability and discipline; overloaded schedules, equipment failures, machining errors, temperature control, and precision instability; material selection and procurement delays; and shortcomings in work- instruction compliance, machining parameters, drawing completeness, and standardized process flow. Using 5W+1H within DMAIC, the study proposes: standardized machining instructions and setup times; preventive- maintenance schedules and checklists; incoming verification with PIC accountability; structured training; mold quality checklists; weekly 5S/5R audits; and Future State Mapping to reduce NNVA/NVA. The integrated DMAIC–VSM roadmap is expected to shorten lead time, raise the value-added ratio, and improve surface finish quality, offering a transferable blueprint for similar manufacturing operations.
