Abstract

Fish landing operations at Kambang Fishing Port are constrained by limited facilities, with only a single pier serving both docking and unloading activities. These constraints often result in prolonged landing times, especially during peak landing periods, when multiple vessels arrive in close succession. This study aims to analyze the relationship between fish landing time and mooring duration among trolling fishing vessels at PPI Kambang, West Sumatra, and to identify key factors influencing landing efficiency. A survey method was employed, involving the collection of primary data on mooring time, adequate unloading time, and idle time, supplemented by secondary data from port authorities. The results reveal that the efficiency of fish landing time ranges between 21.11% and 50.00%, with an average of 40.80%. The lowest efficiency was recorded on KM. Sepupu 02, while the highest was on KM. Melci 01 and KM. Wendri. Multiple linear regression analysis revealed strong correlations between landing efficiency and various factors, including vessel size, number of crew members, unloader age, total catch, and idle time. However, the regression model did not yield statistically significant results. These findings underscore the need for operational enhancements to minimize idle time and improve overall efficiency in fish landing processes. Abstract

Danau Singkarak merupakan tempat hidup bermacam jenis ikan, salah satunya adalah ikan bilih. Ikan bilih merupakan hasil tangkapan utama alat tangkap jaring insang di samping jenis-jenis ikan ekonomis lainnya. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk membandingkan komposisi panjang ikan, berat ikan, jenis ikan, hasil tangkapan utama dan hasil tangkapan sampingan jaring insang berdasarkan ukuran mata jaring 3/4 inchi dan 1 inchi di Danau Singkarak Provinsi Sumatera Barat. Metode penelitian menggunakan pendekatan survei dengan analisis deskriptif. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian yang telah dilakukan selama 14 hari, dapat disimpulkan bahwa dari kedua jaring insang baik dengan ukuran mata jaring 3/4 inchi maupun 1 inchi hasil tangkapan terdiri dari hampir 100% ikan bilih (Mystacoleucus padangensis) dari hari ke 1-10 dan hari ke 11-14 terdapat beberapa hasil tangkapan sampingan (bycatch) yaitu ikan nilem/paweh (Osteochilus hasselti) dan hampala/barau (Hampala macrolepidota). Komposisi hasil tangkapan jaring insang dengan menggunakan ukuran mata jaring 3/4 inchi menghasilkan tangkapan 99% ikan bilih yaitu 550 ekor dengan berat total 2,4 kg, jumlah terbanyak pada interval kelas panjang 9,5-9,7 cm yaitu 120 ekor, kemudian 1% ikan nilem/paweh yaitu 8 ekor. Jaring insang dengan menggunakan ukuran mata jaring 1 inchi diperoleh hasil tangkapan sebesar 97% ikan bilih yaitu 390 ekor dengan berat total 1,6 kg dengan frekuensi terbesar pada interval kelas panjang 10,4 - 10,6 cm yaitu 180 ekor, kemudian 2% ikan nilem/paweh yaitu 7 ekor dan 1% ikan hampala/barau yaitu 4 ekor.

Abstract

Perairan Sungai Siak Kampung Benayah terdapat beberapa alat tangkap yang digunakan dalam aktivitas penangkapan ikan, salah satunya adalah belat. Belat termasuk jenis perangkap dalam klasifikasi termasuk alat perangkap yang lain (other traps). Tujuan penelitian adalah untuk mengetahui kontruksi alat tangkap secara umum, operasional penangkapan, tingkat keramahan lingkungan dan kelayakan usaha perikanan belat. Penelitian ini akan dilaksanakan pada Desember 2022 yang belokasi di perairan Sungai Siak. Metode yang digunakan adalah survey. Dari hasil penelitian menunjukkan belat di Kampung Benayah tergolong teknologi penangkapan yang sangat ramah lingkungan. Dari hasil analisis usaha perikanan alat tangkap belat diketahui (NPV) dengan prediksi 10 tahun menunjukkan usaha kembali modal pada tahun pertama sebesar Rp 1.995.283.

Abstract

Open-access fishery resources encourage fishing competition that can cause stock decreases and overfishing; therefore, bioeconomic management based on sustainability potential and utilization rate assessments is needed to maintain sustainability. This research aims to determine anchovies' potential and utilization rate (Stolephorus sp) at the UPTD Fishery Port Region I, Carocok Tarusan, West Sumatra Province. The research was conducted in December 2024 using secondary data in the form of annual catch and fishing effort for 2016-2023, obtained from relevant institutions. The methods used were the Catch Per Unit Effort (CPUE) and surplus production models of Schaefer and Fox. Based on the results of the analysis, the Schaefer surplus production model was the most appropriate model for analyzing the potential of anchovies at the Carocok Tarusan Fishing Port. This model estimates MSY at 445,211.65 kg/year with an optimum effort of 6,547 trips/year. JTB is estimated at 356,169.32 kg/year. During the research period, the average utilization rate of anchovies reached 54%, showing that fish stocks were in a moderate state. This means anchovy resources have not been overexploited and can still be utilized optimally. The exploitation rate of 33% indicates that there are still opportunities to increase fishing efforts while continuing to apply the principles of sustainable management.

Abstract

The utilization of Indian scad (Decapterus russelli) in Carocok Tarusan has made an important contribution to fishing activities, but data on the potential and rate of utilization are limited. The research aims to determine the potential and level of utilization of indian scad (Decapterus russelli) landed at UPTD Fishery Port Region I, Carocok Tarusan, West Sumatra Province. The research was conducted in December 2024 using secondary data from the institution on catch and fishing efforts for 2019-2023. Methods used are Catch Per Unit Effort (CPUE) and surplus production models of Schaefer and Fox to estimate the maximum sustainable yield (MSY) and optimum fishing effort (f-optimum). According to the analysis results, the Fox model is the most suitable model to describe the stock status and management of indian scad in this region. MSY was estimated at 234,653.74 kg/year with an optimum effort of 1,902 trips/year. Total allowable Catch (TAC) was 187,722.99 kg/year. The average utilization rate was 97%, which shows that the Indian scad stock is fully exploited. Meanwhile, the average level of effort at 110% showing that fishing effort exceeds the optimum level, meaning that more careful management is needed to ensure the sustainability of the stock

Abstract

Kabupaten Tanjung Jabung Timur merupakan sentra produksi perikanan yang cukup potensial, hal tersebut karena Kabupaten ini memiliki wilayah geografis yang sangat strategis dalam sektor perikanan dan perdagangan. Penghasil utama dari sektor perikanan di Kabupaten Tanjung Jabung Timur yaitu Kecamatan Kuala Jambi, Mendahara, Nipah Panjang, Sadu dan Muara Sabak Timur. Penelitian ini dilakukan di perairan Kuala Jambi Kabupaten Tanjung Jabung Timur, Jambi pada bulan Desember 2024. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah mengetahui komposisi hasil tangkapan Gillnet. Metode yang digunakan adalah metode survei yaitu pengumpulan informasi atau data pada masa lalu atau sekarang yang saling terkait untuk menguji hipotesis baik melalui wawancara ataupun pengamatan langsung. Peneliti melakukan perlakuan dalam pengumpulan data, misalnya dengan mengedarkan kuesioner, tes tertulis, wawancara terstruktur dan sebagainya (perlakuan tidak seperti dalam eksperimen). Hasil yang ditemukan pada penelitian ini adalah jenis ikan yang mendominasi hasil tangkapan terdiri dari terdiri dari 8 spesies, yaitu ikan gulama (Micropogonias undulatus), gulama panjang (Johnieops sina), sampah (Abalistes stellatus), udang galah (Macrobrachium rosenbergii), malung (Muraenesox cinereus), sembilang (Euristhmus microceps), manyung (Arius thalassinus), bawal (Colossoma macropomum). Jumlah total hasil tangkapan yang diperoleh selama penelitian berlangsung sebanyak 5069 ekor dengan total berat sebesar 6955,5 kg

Abstract

Secara geografis, Desa Teluk Meranti terletak pada posisi 0º10'-0º40' Lintang Utara (LU) dan 102º 30'-102º 50' Bujur Timur (BT). Desa ini berada di wilayah Kecamatan Teluk Meranti, Kabupaten Pelalawan, Provinsi Riau. Beberapa nelayan di Perairan Teluk Meranti belum menjadikan profesi nelayan sebagai pekerjaan utama yang mereka miliki, usaha perikanan juga masih tergolong kecil karena pengoperasian alat tangkap masih menggunakan perahu penangkapan yang sederhana seperti perahu dan motor tempel dengan alat tangkap utama adalah jaring patin. Salah satu komoditas penting di perairan Teluk Meranti adalah ikan patin. Jaring patin yang digunakan nelayan di perairan Teluk Meranti menggunakan ukuran 8 inchi dan 9 inchi. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode experiment dan survey, kemudian dianalisis dengan menggunakan uji normalitas dan uji t. Hasil pengujian menunjukkan bahwa jaring 8 inchi memiliki lebih banyak tangkapan dibandingkan jaring patin ukuran 9 inchi. Uji t menunjukkan p-value sebesar 0.828 menurut jumlah individu (ekor) dan 0.807 menurut jumlah berat (kg).

Abstract

Kota Batam, yang terdiri dari lebih dari 400 pulau, termasuk enam pulau besar, memiliki potensi besar di sektor perikanan berkat kekayaan biodiversitas lautnya. penelitian ini dilakukan pada bulan April 2024 dan berlokasi di Patam Lestari Kecamatan Sekupang Kota Batam. Metode penelitian yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode survei, yaitu dengan melakukan pengamatan langsung di lapangan serta teknik pengumpulan data dengan cara melakukan wawancara kepada nelayan bubu lipat sebagai responden, kuisioner sebagai alat pengumpul data pokok mengenai bagaimana usaha penangkapan bubu lipat di Kelurahan Patam Lestari. Hasil menunjukkan produktivitas per trip tertinggi mencapai 7 kg, sementara efisiensi per alat tangkap lebih tinggi pada nelayan dengan jumlah alat tangkap bubu lipat yang lebih sedikit. Analisis finansial menunjukkan usaha ini layak dengan BCR > 1, FRR positif dan PPC cepat menandakan pengembalian modal yang singkat. Meskipun demikian, tantangan seperti pencemaran dan degradasi habitat berpengaruh pada hasil tangkapan dan pendapatan nelayan. Oleh karena itu, pengelolaan yang lebih baik dan praktik perikanan berkelanjutan diperlukan untuk menjaga kelangsungan usaha ini
