Abstract

The objective of this study is to determine strategies used b,v students of English Study Program of FKIP UIR quantitatively and qualitatively in order to solve the problems in the course of Speaking. The population is the students rwho are taking Speaking 3 in which the sample is all population of this study due to the homogeneous oftheir characteristics (the aspects of academic achievement). For quantitative data, Strategy Inventory for Language Leaming (SILL) (Oxford, 1989) is used while as for the qualitative data, interviews were commenced. The findings show that the highest use of the strategy is social strafegy (3:26) and the lowest one (3:04) is memory strategy, 4 other strategies (cognitive, metacognitive, affective, and compensation) are in the medium category. The qualitative findings cover four elements: (1) Grammar (memorizing the tenses and using them in daily life, finding the solution in grammar books, finding examples of compound sentences and meaning, studying the complex sentence, and looking for the explanation on the use of preposition), (2) Vocabulary (consulting the dictionary, memorizing the vocabulary items, finding the explanation on intemet, and translating the text), (3) Fluency (practicing general and basic grammar, applying the phrases in daily conversation, and learning more about the difference between clauses),and (4) Pronunciation (often downloading video of spoken English, finding the correct pronunciation of the word in the dictionary, practicing the reading aloud, identifying the intonation pattern. and practicing a lot). The implication of the study is that language leaming strategies used quantitatively and qualitatively should be instructed to the students of Englisli Study Program of FKIP UR especially for those who are taking Speaking 3.

Abstract

The purposes of this study were to determine the impact of using computers on the quantity and quality of students' writing as rvell as the attitudes of the students torvard writing. The participants of this study were the first year students of Errglish Study' Program of FKIP Riau University. As the students learned the steps of the writing process, together with a partner they wrote a paragraph by using computers. The results of this study indicated that there were improvement of the students' writing performance in all components of writing. The students wrote better quality paragraph, wrote longer, and had a better overall attitude toward writing. The mean score of students'pretest was 53.93 and improved to 70,74 in the posttest.

Abstract

In the era of the Industrial Revolution 4.0, learning systems that still use paper based or face to face learning must be transformed into learning activities based on information and communication technology (ICT). A teacher must be able to use ICT as a tool to make the learning process more interesting, effective and efficient. The purpose of this activity is to provide technical guidance for teachers of the Bangkinang Cactus Cluster Elementary School - Kampar Regency in the form of introducing ICT concepts in schools, using interactive learning applications, and designing active learning scenarios through online learning according to the subjects taught. The Online-Based Active Learning Design Training activity was held in Kampar Regency. The teachers who are members of the Cactus Cluster consist of teachers from 6 elementary schools. The implementation stage begins with a pretest, which aims to determine the participants' initial knowledge. This activity fosters motivation for teachers to design classroom learning activities using active learning methods. Teachers obtain information and are also guided in designing active learning scenarios, designing Productive, Imaginative and open-ended questions and also designing worksheets and assessment sheets.

Abstract

 Discipline is one of the things that must be upheld in school because discipline is the key to school success. The existence of high discipline can be one of the capital for schools to achieve the expected goals. In order to enforce this discipline, it requires discipline management based on theories reflected in the functions of management consisting of planning, organizing, implementing, and supervising to determine and achieve the targets that have been determined through the utilization of human resources and other resources. This research is a type of qualitative research, research that tends to handle research problems that require exploration, where knowledge of the problem is still limited, about a detailed understanding of central phenomena. With data collection techniques done with Interviews, observation and documentation. The data processing procedure is done by triangulation technique, checking informant, and examination of data. The result of the research shows that 1) the planning on the discipline management work program has been done well but the implementation can’t run consistently, 2) the organization of discipline management has been well established, but policy making in the determination of sanctions can’t be taken by the highest policy holders in the organizational structure of management discipline, 3) the implementation management function is limited to the process and not in the field but in the final sanction can’t be implemented, 4) the supervision has been done well by the leader but in the evaluation process cannot be implemented because basically the school already know the cause of management evaluation can be done.

Abstract

The purpose of this study to describe and analyze the Management of Educational Broadcast inPrograma 1 (one) Radio Republik Indonesia (RRI) Pekanbaru viewed from the management functions of planning, organizing, actuating, and controlling. This study used descriptive qualitative method. Data collection was done by observation, interview, and documentation. The analysis technique used in this research is by Miles and Huberman method (1992) that is through data reduction process, data presentation, conclusion and triangulation.The results of the study show that the Education Broadcasting Management in Programa 1 (one) Radio Republik Indonesia (RRI) Pekanbaru has been running well. The first step of planning is a program that runs every year to create educational programs. Next determine the educational broadcast team, broadcaster, educational theme, broadcast schedule and resource person. Resource persons are carefully selected to provide accurate information. Planning in the studio engineering section is done matrang by providing guidance to the lookbook given to the broadcaster as a guide during the broadcast. Organizing educational broadcast in Programa 1 (one) RRI Pekanbaru is done by forming Team by Head of LPP RRI Pekanbaru prepared at the time of program of yearly program or have according to SK respectively if status of civil servant and given authority with clear job description. Implementation of education broadcast In Programa 1 (one) RRI Pekanbaru has been implemented in accordance with Government Regulation of the Republic of Indonesia Number 12 Year 2015 on Radio Public Broadcasting Institution of the Republic of Indonesia and KPI regulations on Broadcasting Conduct Manual (P3) of 2012. Supervision in RRI All Indonesia is conducted by Supervisory Board The highest position in RRI. RRI Pekanbaru supervision conducted by the Head of LPP RRI Pekanbaru. For the supervision of the broadcast program conducted by the head of broadcast program with the head of the planning and evaluation section of the program in Programa 1 (one) Pekanbaru conducted by Section Head of Programa 1 (one).

Abstract

The aims of this reaserch are to identify, analyze, and describe the adiwiyata programon Public Senior High School 1 in Bangkinang Kota, starting from the program planning, implementation,and result of the program. This reasearch used a descriptive qualitative approach. Interview anddirect obsevation were done to collect the data. Interview was performed to the school principle,adiwiyata supporting members, teacher board, and students. Direct observation done by observingthe ongoing implementation of adiwiyata program. The results showed that the perception of schoolmembers to adiwiyata program was clearly percieved, followed by good understanding and activeparticipation. Some policies of adiwiyata program already well implemented. Nowadays, adiwiyataprogram were tought in new subject, called PKWU.Utilization of school-environmental basedinfrastructure was well performed. Many tasks done to maintain school environment, utilize, andsupervise the impelemented program. Yet, still some inhibiting factors found by researcher duringimplementation of adiwiyata program, e.g. the impelementation of 4P canteen (plastic, dye, sweetener,preservative). School needs concern participation of all school boards in order to achieve sustainabilityof adiwiyata program implementation.

Abstract

This study aims to obtain about the process of implementation of kindergarten An-Namiroh Center in improving the quality of schools in Kecamatan Tampan kota pekanbaru. The research sub-focus consists of 1) .The implementation of An-Namiroh kindergarten planning in improving the quality of schools in Kecamatan Tampan Pekanbaru City, 2) .The implementation of An-Namiroh kindergartensCenter in improving the quality of schools in Kecamatan Tampan Pekanbaru City, 3) .The implementation of TK An -Namiroh Center in improving the quality of schools in Kecamatan Tampan Pekanbaru City, 4) .TK An-Namiroh kindergarten supervisionCenter in improving the quality of schools in Kecamatan Tampan Pekanbaru City. This type of research is a qualitative research. The data collection is done by interview, observation and documentation. The results of this study are (1). Implementation of TK An Namiroh Center planning as stipulated in the vision, mission and objectives that make kindergarten An Namiroh Center of pilot educational institutions and is the pride of the community. (2). Implementation of organizing is contained in the organizational structure and the division of labor, so that tasks and responsibilities are done well. (3). Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk membuktikan pengaruh sertifikasi profesi guru dan motivasi kerja terhadap kinerja guru SD Negeri di Gugus Flamboyan Kecamatan Bangkinang Kota. Populasi dan sampel dari penelitian ini adalah guru SD Negeri yang berada di Gugus Flamboyan Kecamatan Bangkinang Kota yang berjumlah 54 orang dan semua diteliti. Metode penelitian ini menggunakan metode kuisioner (angket). Jenis data dari penelitian ini adalah data primer yang bersumber dari guru SD Negeri di Gugus Flamboyan Kecamatan Bangkinang Kota Riau. Teknis analisis data yang dilakukan dalam penelitian ini menggunakan statistik deskriptif maupun inferensial. Metode analisis data dalam penelitian ini menggunakan regresi berganda. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa bahwa sertifikasi profesi guru dan motivasi kerja berpengaruh positif terhadap kinerja guru baik secara simultan maupun secara parsial.

Abstract

Tolak ukur sebuah pendidikan suatu negara adalah mutu pendidikannya, melalui mutu pendidikan ini kita juga akan mengetahui kualitas pendidikan pada setiap jenjang pendidikan. Salah satu indikator yang dijadikan tolak ukur mutu pendidikan adalah ujian akhir sekolah berstandar nasional (UASBN). Untuk menjaga terlaksananya mutu pendidikan yang baik maka diperlukan kinerja guru yang baik, seterusnya kinerja guru yang baik diperlukan peranan supervisi kepala sekolah yang baik. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk menganalisis tentang pengaruh supervaisi kepala sekolah dan kinerja guru terhadap mutu pendidikan. Metode  penelitian ini adalah penelitian kausal dengan sampel penelitian adalah guru kelas enam sekolah dasar negeri di Kota Pekanbaru dengan jumlah 60 orang. Data yang digunakan adalah hasil ujian akhir sekolah berstandar nasional (UASBN) tahun ajar 2016/2017, data kegiatan supervisi kepala sekolah, dan kinerja guru. Instrumen yang digunakan adalah angket kegiatan supervisi kepala sekolah dan kinerja guru. Teknik pengumpulan data mengunakan angket dan dokumentasi. Teknik analisis penelitian ini menggunakan analisis regresi liner berganda. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa: (a) supervisi kepala sekolah berpengaruh secara signifikan dengan skor signifikan 0,009 < 0,05; (b) kineja guru berpengaruh secara signifikan dengan skor signifikan 0,005 < 0,05; dan (c) supervisi kepala sekolah dan kinerja guru berpengaruh secara bersama terhadap mutu pendidikan dengan skor signifikan 0,000 > 0,05. Berdasarkan analisis data hasil penelitian, maka simpulan dalam penelitian ini bahwa supervisi kepala sekolah dan kinerja guru secara bersama-sama memberikan pengaruh kepada mutu pendidikan di sekolah dasar negeri di Pekanbaru

Abstract

The aim of this research is to know about the influence between variables (1)work environment toward teacher work motivation in elementary schools of Senapelan Subdisctrict Pekanbaru, (2) interpersonal relationships toward teacher work motivation in elemantaryschools of Senapelan Sub disctrict Pekanbaru, (3) work environment and interpersonalrelationships together toward teacher motivation in elementary schools of Senapelan Sub disctrictPekanbaru. This research carried out by share out the instruments for 126 teachers in elementaryschools of Senapelan Sub disctrict Pekanbaru by using proportionate random sampling technique.The instrument used to collect the data of all variables using the questionnaire. Validity wastested using Pearson product moment formula. Instrument reliability coefficient was calculatedusing Cronbach alpha formula. The results showed a positive relationship between: (1) Thereis a positive influence between work environment toward teacher work motivation in elementaryschools of Senapelan Sub disctrict Pekanbaru with a correlation coefficient rx1. y = 0,295 andthe regression equation 79,795 + 0,233 X1. (2) There is a positive influence between interpersonalcorrelation toward teacher work motivation in elemantary schools of Senapelan Sub disctrictPekanbaru with correlation coefficients rx2. y = 0,493 and the regression v = 68,48 + 0,329 X2.(3) There is a positive influence between work environment and interpersonal correlation towardteacher work motivation in elementary schools of Senapelan Sub disctrict Pekanbaru with Rx1x2.y multiple correlation coefficient = 0,531 and the regression equation v = 56,91 + 0,159 X1 +0,301 X2. The results of this study are expected to be useful for the improvement andenhancement of teae herwork behaviour in elemantary schools of Senapelan Sub disctrictPekanbaru by increasing work environment and interpersonal correlation.
