Abstract

Abstract: This research discusses about Picture and Picture method on Japanese Vocabulary Lesson for the class X Students of Pintar Senior High School in TalukKuantan. The aim of this research is to know the significant difference between the study result of students who used picture and picture as learning method for Japanese Vocabulary and students who did not. The object of this research was the Class X Students of Pintar Senior High School in TalukKuantan. There are two class that used as object of this research i.e XA and XB. This research is a quasy experimental research with pretest posttest design.This design was conducted in two class, with XA as control class and XB as experimental class. The type of data collection technique in this research is giving a test.The test consisted of two types, namely pretest and posttest.These tests were conducted to compare the students’ Japanese vocabulary skills before and after being given treatment.Based on the result of Independent Sample t test, it was found that the significance value (sig) (2-tailed) was 0,000 < 0.005. It means that there is a significant difference between the study result of students who used picture and picture as learning method for Japanese Vocabulary and students who did not. In other word, Picture and Picture method is effective to improve Japanese vocabulary skill of class X students in Pintar Senior High School TalukKuantanKey Words: Vocabulary, Picture and Picture Method, Cooperative Learning

Abstract

Abstract : Media has an important role in language learning. therefore the use of media is needed in learning activities in order to be more creative, innovative and active. This study discusses the use of Picture Word media in learning Japanese vocabulary in tenth grade students of TarunaMandiri High School Pekanbaru.The purpose of this study was to find out whether the use of Picture Word media was effective in increasing mastery of Japanese vocabulary in tenth grade students of Taruna Mandiri High School Pekanbaru.This study used an experimental design (pretest-posttest Control group design) conducted on two randomly selected groups namely the experiment group and the control group.The subjects of this study were the tenth grade students of the Taruna Mandiri High School Pekanbaru 2018/2019 school year which consisted of two classes, tenth grade of social as Experiment class and tenth grade of Science 2as control class.The technique of collecting data is done by carrying out the pre-test and post-test, then the results of the test are processed using SPSS Version 23 IBM For Windows.Based on data analysis, the use of Picture Word media can improve student learning outcomes in Japanese vocabulary learning compared to students vocabulary learning outcomes with conventional methods. This can be seen based on the value of the results of the experimental class pretest and posttest having increased 89.9 for the average value in the experimental class and 82.9 in the control class.Key Words: Picture Word media, Japanese vocabulary, Effectiveness.

Abstract

Abstract: This descriptive study aims to discuss to what extent the teachers of MTs Darul Hikmah Boarding School Pekanbaru use ICT in their teaching and learning activities. The researcher used purposive technique sampling to determine the sample. The samples were 50 teachers. The data were gathered by distributing a set of questionnaire which design in the form of five points of the Likert scale. The data were analyzed using Microsoft Excel 2010. After analyzed the data, it can be revealed that the use of ICT by the teachers of MTs Darul Hikmah Boarding School Pekanbaru in their teaching and learning activities in general was in mediocre level category, with mean of 2.99. Specifically, the use of ICT by the teachers for class preparation was in mediocre level category, with the mean score of 3.14. Furthermore, the use of ICT by the teachers during teaching and learning process was in low level category, with the mean score of 2.60. Then, the use of ICT by the teachers as assessment was in high level category, with the mean score of 3.42.Keywords: A Study, ICT, teaching and learning activities

Abstract

ABSTRACT This qualitative descriptive research is purposed to describe two topics. The first one is the suitability Japanese subjects of the Lesson Plan used by teaching practice program in 2019 by Japanese Language Education Student with the standard of curriculum 2013. The second one is the suitability of the main activity in the Lesson Plan of Japanese subject with the basic competence of curriculum 2013. This research used documentation technique to collecting the data. Based on the formulation of the program, there are two findings of this research. The first finding shows that the Lesson Plan has 71, 5% of suitability with the curriculum 2013 which is still low.It happened because of the unsuitability in the aspect of time aloocation, basic competence, indicators of competence achievement, learning objectives, learning materials, and evaluation. The second finding display the unsuitability of the main activity with the basic competence of curriculum 2013. There are two factors that lead to this problem. The first factors is the absence ofscientific approach in the main activity. The second, the material that was delivered is not be found in the list of materials in curriculum 2013.Key Words: analysis, curriculum 2013, Japanese language, lesson plan

Abstract

Abstract: This study aimed to find out what are the procedures carried out in making developed game media "The three-dimensional ladder snake box and whether it is an expert standard or validator so that it is worthy of being used as a learning medium. This type of research uses the R & D (Research and Development) model using the Sugiyono development model. The subjects of this study were the tenth grade students of Pekanbaru Integrated Vocational High School, totaling 20 students. The data collection techniques is carried out by using questionnaires. The results showed five stages: a) Potential Problems b) Data Collection, c) Planning, d) Product Design, e) Product Validation. The level of feasibility of the Three Dimensional Box Ladder Snake Media Game As A Media Learning Japanese Vocabulary and Basic Sentences based on 3 validators consisting of material experts, media and teachers of the Pekanbaru Integrated Vocational High School. The Three Dimensional Box Ladder Snake Game Media As A Media For Vocabulary Learning and Basic Japanese Language Sentences is said to be feasible, based on the results of the validation by material experts is in average score of 77.7% with a fairly decent category, media experts is an average score of 96.8% in the category of very decent, and teachers of Pekanbaru Integrated Vocational High School is 96.8% with a very decent category. After getting the validation results, the product revision is conducted according to the suggestions and input from the validator so that the product becomes better and is suitable to use in Japanese vocabulary learning.Key Words : Three Dimensional Box Ladder Snake

Abstract

Abstract: Covid-19 is an infectious disease caused by a type of corona virus that was newly discovered in the city of Wuhan, China (WHO, 2020). As a result, all activities can only be carried out on a limited basis, and places that cause crowds are closed, including schools. So that learning and teaching activities are carried out online or in other words learning from home. The purpose of this research were to find out what challenges faced by teachers and students when learning takes place online, as well as to identify or find out the efforts made by teachers at SMK Negeri 1 Barumun to overcome these challenges. The research method used in this research was descriptive qualitative with a case study approach. The data collection techniques used were interviews and documentation, while the data analysis techniques used were data reduction, data display, and withdrawal and conclusion verification. Based on this research, the results obtained are the challenges faced by English teachers at SMK Negeri 1 Barumun during online teaching are difficulties in increasing students’ motivation in learning English, teachers have challenges in choosing appropriate learning strategies, and lack of technology mastery skills. While the challenges faced by students are related to the instability of the internet network in the area they live, limited quotas, and limitations of android as the main online learning facility due to the family’s economic instability. Based on these challenges, teachers and school implemented several efforts to overcome these challenges with the aim that learning and teaching activities continue to run smoothly and effectively.Key Words: Covid-19 Pandemic, Online Teaching, Online Learning, English Online, andChallenges.

Abstract

Abstrack:. The ease of accessing the internet has brought a change to gaming, which was originally played offline into a game that can be done online. The purpose of this study was to find out the correlation between the usage of online gaming and Japanese grammatical capabilities. This study is limited to imperative sentence pattern in Japanese. The method used in this research is the quantitative correlation method. The instruments used were questionnaires and tests. The result of the quantitative analysis shows that there was a positive correlation between the usage of online gaming and the ability of grammar, namely in imperative setence, which is 40,4%. Based on these figures it can be concluded that the usage of online games also has an effect on improving language skills.Key Words: game online, gramatical, ability

Abstract

Abstract: Japanese Languange Proficiency Test (JLPT) is a test held to measure Japanese language skills. This study aims to find out how the use of learning strategies according to Oxford (1990) by students who have passed JLPT N3. This study used descriptive qualitative method. The study was conducted by conducting interviews with data sources. The data sources in this study were 7 students of class 2017 and 1 student of class 2018 Japanese language education study program Riau University. The results of this study indicate that students who have passed JLPT N3 use learning strategies according to Oxford (1990) in various ways in each strategyKey Words: JLPT, Learning Strategies, Oxford.

Abstract

Abstract: this research was about the effectively of using word wall media as increasing the Japanese vocabulary of SMK Sulthan Muazzam Syah Pekanbaru of Class 2. This research conducted of to know the effectiveness using word wall media as increasing the Japanese vocabulary in that school. The samples consisted of 2 classes as experiment and control class. The instrument of the research was using pretest and posttest, then given a treatment in experimental class that using word wall media and compared the result as it is. Data analyze technique by using independent samples t-test. The result of the research was by using word wall media can increased the Japanese vocabulary. As it knows, the means was 75,83. The significance in this research was 0,000 < 0,05. So, there was an effect of using word wall media to increase student Japanese vocabulary in SMK Sulthan Muazzam Syah Pekanbaru.Key Words: Vocabulary Learning, Word Wall Media

Abstract

Abstrak: This research discusses about by using Image Association Media in hiragana writing learning students of YLPI Junior High School Marpoyan Pekanbaru. The purpose of this research is to knowing the effectiveness by using Image Associations Media and differences in student learning outcomes between classes that using Image Association Media with classes that did not using Image Association Media. The object of the research is class VII students of YLPI Junior High School Marpoyan in the odd semester academic year 2018/2019 was consisting of two classes, the class name is class VII.1 and class VII.2. This research used a pretest-posttest design, which was conducted on two classes namely the experimental class and the control class. The results of the research is was found that the Image Association Media could improve students outcomes learning in hiragana writing learning compared the results of the students outcomes learning in hiragana writing learning by used conventional methods. This can be seen from the evaluation value and the difference in the results of the experimental class pretest and posttest (the treated class) increased, is 80.8 for the average value in the experimental class and 69 for the control class.Key Words: Effectiveness, Association Hiragana.
