Abstract

General Background: Effective school management is crucial for creating quality, progressive, and advanced institutions, while inadequate planning can lead to poor management, teacher disengagement, and diminished reputation. Specific Background: Muhammadiyah 2 Bangil, an Islamic organization, is implementing innovative branding strategies to differentiate itself in the competitive Bangil educational environment. Knowledge Gap: Despite the growing trend of educational branding, limited research explores its impact on school management, community engagement, and overall school performance, particularly within Muhammadiyah schools. Aims: The study explores the impact of strategic planning and branding on school management, specifically examining the influence of "Sekolah Kreatif" branding at SMA Muhammadiyah 2 Bangil. Results: The findings indicate that the branding of "Sekolah Kreatif" has positively impacted the school's image, community engagement, and prospective student interest. The school has effectively communicated its value to internal stakeholders and the wider community, resulting in increased enrollment and a strengthened institutional identity. Novelty: The study offers fresh insights into the strategic use of branding in Islamic educational institutions, specifically in the context of Muhammadiyah schools. Implications: Strategic branding and effective school management can significantly improve a school's reputation, teacher motivation, and community relationships, serving as a model for other educational institutions. Abstract

General Background: Product quality control is essential to ensure consistent quality from the beginning to the end of the production process. Specific Background: PT. FGH faces significant quality challenges, specifically during the health plaster coating stage, which has resulted in numerous product defects. Knowledge Gap: Although previous research has applied Six Sigma for quality improvement, detailed studies on health plaster manufacturing using combined Six Sigma and 5S Kaizen methodologies remain limited. Aims: This study aims to assess the product defect rate at PT. FGH using the Six Sigma methodology, measure defect levels via the sigma level through Defect Per Million Opportunities (DPMO) conversion, and propose improvement strategies through 5S Kaizen. Results: Findings reveal a DPMO of 7,039.4959, with a sigma level of 3.96, indicating that while the process capability values for Cp and Cpk are 1.00, suggesting production aligns with specification limits, tighter monitoring is required. Notably, product defects are predominantly folding, perforated edges, and asymmetry, comprising 80% of defects and leading to financial losses of IDR 340,524,744 over a one-year period. Novelty: This study uniquely combines Six Sigma and 5S Kaizen in addressing specific defect types and sources, including mechanical and human factors, within the health plaster industry. Implications: By implementing targeted process improvements, this research contributes a practical framework for defect reduction and cost mitigation in production, supporting broader quality control efforts in similar manufacturing sectors.

Abstract

General Background: Ensuring consistent product quality is crucial for maintaining competitive advantage, especially in manufacturing. PT. Starr Panel Industry, a company in the refrigeration sector, focuses on high-quality sandwich panels but experiences frequent defects in its production processes. Specific Background: Despite prioritizing premium raw materials, the company faces recurring product failures, particularly in the finishing phase, which affect production flow and on-time delivery. Knowledge Gap: Current quality assurance measures at PT. Starr Panel Industry lack a systematic approach to identifying and prioritizing the root causes of defects, hindering the development of targeted improvement strategies. Aims: This study aims to identify, analyze, and address potential failure modes and their root causes within the production processes, employing Failure Modes and Effects Analysis (FMEA) and Fault Tree Analysis (FTA). Results: The findings reveal that the finishing process has the highest Risk Priority Number (RPN) of 112, primarily due to insufficient adherence to standard operating procedures (SOPs) by the workforce. Novelty: The integration of FMEA and FTA provides a comprehensive failure analysis model, with FMEA ranking failure risks and FTA tracing them to foundational causes, offering a new dual-method approach to improve operational standards effectively. Implications: Implementing the proposed FMEA-FTA framework can significantly reduce product defects, improve quality consistency, and minimize delivery disruptions, especially in the critical finishing stage. Emphasizing SOP compliance across divisions, particularly in finishing, can lead to sustained quality improvements and enhanced operational efficiency in sandwich panel production.

Abstract

Halal suppy chain management is halal supply network that managed to ensure halal integrity from raw materials to end consumers. Halal and food safety are important for consumers to choose the food to be consumed. The purpose of this study (1) To determine the priority of halal supply chain and food safety using the FMEA method (2) To determine the strategy to improve the risk of halal supply chain and food safety using the SWOT method. In this study, the highest RPN value of 261 was obtained in the selection of kencur raw materials because the business bought kencur raw materials from collectors in traditional markets so they didn’t know the material was safe for consumption or not. In the SWOT method, the results are obtained at quadrant point I, which means that business has many strengths and opportunities, and very possible for businesses to develop and achieve maximum progress.

Abstract

This research was conducted due to the condition of the company which was only founded in June, so that in July the company received few orders and in the following month, namely August, the company received quite a lot of orders and so this research uses a base period in September because the company received 500 orders. pcs and in October the company received a decrease in orders so it experienced a decrease in profits. Therefore this research aims to measure the company's productivity and profitability based on changes in labor, material, energy, capital and total input at UD. Lontong Irfan. The method used involves calculating productivity and profitability indices as well as evaluating price improvement indices to evaluate the impact of changes in input costs. The analysis results show that labor productivity remains stable despite an increase in wages, while material profitability has increased but productivity has decreased. Energy and capital productivity remained stable with no decline in profitability. Although total input productivity decreased, profitability increased, highlighting the complexity of the influence of input variables on a company's overall performance.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the types of defects in the packaging process of creamer products and provide suggestions for improvements to the company based on the results of data processing that has been carried out with two methods to explain the material, energy, capital, and total losses. The method used involves calculating the sigma index with several tools such as pareto diagrams, fish bone diagrams to see the extent of the cause and effect, and failure tree diagrams to find out the root of the problem and in analyzing the root of the problem also involves the 5Whys method. The results of the analysis show that productivity is able to survive and be stable by needing to evaluate several factors that produce a high percentage in the analysis of product packaging process defects. Improvement proposals are addressed to the company for improvement and optimization of the results of the company.
