Abstract

Faculty of Education Universitas Negeri Semarang, and 3) readiness alumni of Guidance and Counseling Department Education of Faculty Universitas Negeri Semarang  to compete in the  work world. The method used is a survey-descriptive. The population for this study is the alumni of Guidance and Counseling Department Faculty of Education Universitas Negeri Semarang that graduated in 2013, 2014, 2015, and 2016 in the region of Central Java Province. The sampling used cluster random sampling techniques (cluster random sampling area). Cluster sampling technique procedures implemented by selecting a sample in Central Java Province randomly. An instrument which is used was questionnaire and interview. Quantitative data analysis techniques using descriptive statistical data and  qualitative data analysis using interviews. The results showed that 1) the competence of alumni Guidance and Counseling Department  Faculty of Education Universitas Negeri Semarang very well in accordance with the Regulation of the Minister of Education and Culture of the Indonesia Republic No. 27 of 2008 on Standards Academic Qualifications and Competencies Counselors Indonesia, 2) the suitability of the field work with the field of graduate studies Study Guidance and Counseling Department  Faculty of Education Universitas Negeri Semarang is very appropriate, and 3) the alumni are very ready to compete with the alumni Guidance and Counseling Department from other universities.

Abstract

Low social skills are still one of the problems students face, which adversely impacts their attitude towards someone. Preliminary research showed that Junior High School students' lack of social skills is still a significant problem that needs to be resolved. Therefore, this research aims to determine the level of social skills, conformity, and self-acceptance in junior high school students and the relationship between them. The population in this study were 536 junior high students and 205 students participated as participants which recruited using the proportionate stratified sampling method. The data was collected using psychological scale specifically the social skills, conformity, and self-acceptance scale. The data collected were analyzed using the multiple regression analysis using the SPSS program. The result showed a positive relationship between conformity and self-acceptance with social skills in junior high school students. Good social skills make students complete tasks faster and more proficient in social life.

Abstract

Based on the preliminary study, it’s known that cheating behaviour is major problem for the education sector. The aim of this research is examine the correlation between moral reasoning and cheating behaviour of senior high school students. Current research is quantitative research with correlational method. 282 samples were selected using proportionate stratified random sampling technique. Moral reasoning variable were measured using psychological scale based on the level of moral reasoning according to Kohlberg’s theory and cheating behaviour variable were measured using psychological scale based on cheating behaviour indicators. Data were analysed using Product Moment correlation technique. After analysing the data, the results revealed there is significant negative relationship between moral reasoning and cheating behaviour (r=-.265, p.05) among senior high school students indicating when moral reasoning is high then cheating behaviour is low, and vice versa. It is expected that the continuation of this research can find interventions to reduce cheating behaviour.

Abstract

The current pandemic has an impact on mental health, especially students who do online learning. In relation to burnout, this study aims to integrate Acceptance and Commitment therapy and Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction to reduce burnout, experiments were carried out in groups for the application of ACT while MBSR materials were given online and practised independently by each counselee after face-to-face meetings were held. This study uses educational design, research and development (Educational Research & Development), which is a research design that aims to produce or develop a product in the form of models, designs, prototypes, materials, media, tools or strategies, in order to improve the quality of learning. The educational R&D research design has ten stages as proposed by Borg & Gall. The stages are simplified and grouped into three stages, namely (1) Preliminary Study, (2) Development Phase, and (3) Validation Phase. The results of this study revealed that group counseling by applying Acceptance and Commitment therapy and Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction was proven to be able to reduce burnout. With the findings of this study, school counselors can make group counseling integrate ACR and MBSR therapy as an alternative to reduce student academic burnout at school

Abstract

Abdimas ini berupaya agar masyarakat memiliki perencanaan dan komitmen yang lebih baik dalam kariernya; mengembangkan jejaring sosial dan kesempatan pengembangan diri; lebih dari itu juga agar masyarakat lebih mampu membuat keputusan karier yang tepat. Prosedur kegiatan pengabdian dilaksanakan dalam 4 tahap yaitu: (a) analisis situasi dan permasalahan, (b) identifikasi peserta, (c) pelaksanaan pelatihan, dan (d) evaluasi pelatihan. Pelatihan dilaksanakan dengan metode bimbingan kelompok sebanyak 2 sesi. Evaluasi yang dilakukan menunjukkan bahwa secara umum peserta pelatihan telah mencapai indikator yang diharapkan yaitu: 1) Kemampuan peserta dalam mengidentifikasi profil dirinya yang meliputi bakat/ keahlian, minat dan karakter/ nilai pribadinya. 2) Kemampuan peserta ketika menentukan arah karier yang hendak dieksplorasi dan direncanakan ke depannya. 3) Kelengkapan peserta untuk mencari tahu berbagai informasi kariernya. Peserta juga telah mampu mengaplikasikan materi pelatihan dalam merencanakan masa depannya. Hasil pelatihan menunjukkan bahwa terjadi peningkatan pemahaman peserta sebelum dan setelah mendapatkan pelatihan.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh pola asuh orang tua dan efikasi diri terhadap motivasi dalam menyelesaikan skripsi. Penelitian ini dilakukan pada 5.600 mahasiswa Universitas Negeri Semarang tahun angkatan 2016. Penentuan sampel menggunakan proportional insidental sampling, menggunakan rumus slovin dengan jumlah sampel sebesar 373 mahasiswa. Pengumpulan data menggunakan tiga skala yaitu pola asuh, efikasi diri dan skala motivasi akademik yang telah diuji validitas dan reliabilitasnya. Teknik analisis data menggunakan analisis deskriptif dan analisis inferensial. Hasil penelitian mengungkapkan bahwa terdapat pengaruh yang positif dan signifikan pola asuh orang tua dan efikasi diri terhadap motivasi dalam menyelesaikan skripsi dengan kontribusi nilai koefisien determinasi (R Square) sebesar 56,9%, sedangkan sisanya 43,1% dipengaruhi oleh variabel lain di luar variabel yang diteliti. Saran yang harus dipahami yaitu mahasiswa perlu menyadari pentingnya keseriusan dan ketekunan dalam menyelesaikan skripsi, karena tanpa adanya keinginan dari dalam diri, motivasi tidak akan terwujud.

Abstract

Konsep diri yang dimiliki seseorang akan mempengaruhi keinginan untuk berprestasi bagi siswa. Ditambah dengan adanya pembelajaran jarak jauh yang telah berlangsung sejak bulan Maret 2020 lalu memiliki dampak yang terlalu besar bagi siswa terutama dalam emosional mereka, yang mana secara langsung akan mempengaruhi hasil belajar akademis siswa. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah menganalisis dan mencari bukti empiris mengenai pengaruh konsep diri terhadap hasil belajar akademis siswa di SMK PB Soedirman Jakarta. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode penelitian kuantitatif dengan jenis penelitian ex post facto. Sampel yang digunakan sebanyak 175 responden dari total keseluruhan populasi sebesar 290 siswa. Pengambilan sampel menggunakan proportionate stratified random sampling, dengan alat pengumpulan data yang digunakan berupa angket penelitian dan juga dokumentasi. Untuk teknik analisis data, peneliti menggunakan analisis deskriptif juga analisis regresi linier berganda. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa konsep diri berpengaruh positif terhadap hasil belajar siswa di SMK PB Soedirman Jakarta. Saran yang diberikan kepada guru BK atau konselor yakni dapat selalu memberikan dan meningkatkan layanan bimbingan dan konseling dalam bidang pribadi maupun bidang sosial baik melaui layanan pribadi, layanan kelompok, ataupun layanan klasikal, yang bertujuan untuk memberikan pemahaman mengenai konsep diri dan menganalisis cara belajar yang tepat bagi setiap individu.

Abstract

ABSTRAKPenelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh layanan informasi karier terhadap pengambilan keputusan karier siswa di SMA Negeri 1 Karangdowo. Jenis penelitian pre-eksperimental design One Group Pretest-Posttes Design. Populasi berjumlah 143 siswa. Berdasarkan analisis data dapat dijelaskan bahwa pengaruh layanan infomasi karier terhadap pengambilan keputusan karier siswa, dalam kategori rendah sebelum diberikan layanan informasi karier. Hasil analisis menunjukkan bahwa nilai signifikansi untuk pengaruh layanan informasi karier terhadap pengambilan keputusan karier siswa adalah sebesar 0,000 < 0,05 dan nilai F hitung 0,666 > F tabel 0,374, dapat disimpulkan bahwa terdapat pengaruh layanan informasi karier terhadap pengambilan keputusan karier.Kata Kunci: kemandirian, layanan informasi karier, pengambilan keputusan karier.   ABSTRACTThis study aims to determine the effect of career information services on student career decision making at SMA Negeri 1 Karangdowo. Abstract

The present study aimed to find out the simultaneous relationship among smartphone addiction, academic burnout, and procrastination among guidance and counseling department students of Semarang State University. This correlational study involved 75 students who were recruited using proportionate stratified sampling with a 10% margin of error. The data were analyzed using multiple correlation and bivariate formulas. The study revealed that 1) there is no significant relationship between smartphone addiction and procrastination, as indicated by a p-value of 0.449. In addition, it was also found that 2) there is no significant relationship between smartphone addiction and academic burnout (p-value = 0.255). However, the study found 3) a significant relationship between academic burnout and procrastination (p-value = 0.046). The fourth finding was that the R-value between smartphone addiction, academic burnout, and procrastination was 0.219 and sig. value of 0.171,  indicating a positive, insignificant simultaneous relationship between smartphone addiction, academic burnout, and procrastination among Guidance and Counseling Students of Semarang State University. The result of the study could be used as the basis to determine guidance and counseling services at the university level in order to minimize the problems related to smartphone addiction, academic burnout, and procrastination.

Abstract

Understanding of disaster preparedness includes knowledge and mastery of the efforts that can be taken to anticipate or reduce disaster risk. The purpose of the study is to analyze the understanding of disaster preparedness by elementary school teachers and the direction of counseling and guidance services in elementary schools. This study uses a descriptive method with a quantitative approach. The research instrument is the scale of understanding disaster preparedness and a questionnaire on the direction of Guidance and Counseling services. The study population was elementary school teachers in the Teacher Working Group (KKG) Pringgondani Group Coordinator of the Education Unit (Korsatpen) Banyumanik District, amounting to 35 people. Sampling through total sampling technique so that the entire population becomes the research sample. Data analysis was carried out using descriptive statistics. The results showed that elementary school teachers at the KKG Pringgondani Group Korsatpen Banyumanik District had a high level of understanding of disaster preparedness. The implementation of Guidance and Counseling services in elementary schools is aimed at assisting students in realizing disaster preparedness through basic service components, individualized planning and specialization services, responsive services, and support system. The results of the study are expected to be used as material for student learning activities to realize an understanding of disaster preparedness by elementary school teachers through Guidance and Counseling services in elementary schools and their service program components.
