Abstract

Collaborative filtering (CF) is a method to be used in recommendation systems. CF works by analyzing rating data patterns from previous users to produce recommendations according to their interests. However, it faces a crucial problem, sparsity, a condition where a lot of data is empty, which will affect the quality of the recommendations produced. To state this problem, the purpose of this study is to input methods including mean, min, max, and k-nearest neighbor imputation (KNNI). The steps taken include imputation of empty data, followed by similarity calculations using the cosin similarity method, and evaluation using root mean square error (RMSE). The experimental result shows that the mean method is excellent with an average similarity value of 0.99 and an RMSE value of 0.98.

Abstract

Sugarcane leaf identification plays an important role in supporting agricultural monitoring and crop management. However, variations in leaf appearance and background conditions often reduce the performance of single classification models. This study aims to analyse and compare the performance of Support Vector Machine (SVM), AdaBoost, and ensemble models that combine SVM and AdaBoost for sugarcane leaf image classification. The data used in this study was obtained from a public dataset available on Kaggle and modified through image selection with a total of 1,391 data points grouped into two classes, namely sugarcane (587 image data points) and non-sugarcane (804 image data points), as well as pre-processing steps. Feature extraction was performed to represent leaf characteristics prior to classification. The models were evaluated using accuracy, precision, recall, and F1-score metrics. The experimental results showed that the SVM-AdaBoost ensemble model achieved the best performance among all models tested, with an accuracy value of 93.55% and an F1-score of 93.47%, demonstrating its effectiveness in improving classification reliability. These findings indicate that ensemble learning can improve classification performance for sugarcane leaf images and can be considered as an alternative approach for agricultural image analysis applications.

Abstract

Early detection of Alzheimer's disease is essential for more effective patient care. This study explores the application of Machine Learning (ML) algorithms in detecting Alzheimer's disease by analyzing influential factors, such as demographic profile, medical history, and clinical examination results. Five ML methods, namely Deep Learning, Random Forest, Decision Tree, Naïve Bayes, and Logistic Regression, are used to classify Alzheimer's disease cases. In addition, the study used RFE and BPSO methods for feature selection with the aim of improving model performance. The evaluation was conducted using cross-fold validation and split-validation techniques, with performance measured in terms of accuracy, precision, recall, and F1-score. The results showed that the Random Forest algorithm combined with BPSO achieved the best performance, with 99% accuracy and high precision and recall values, surpassing other methods. These findings demonstrate that integrating feature selection significantly improves classification quality and confirms the practical potential of ML models as reliable tools for the early detection of Alzheimer's disease, thereby assisting clinicians in diagnostic decision-making and enhancing patient care.

Abstract

Sparsity data is a major challenge in collaborative recommendation systems, characterized by the predominance of missing values within the user-item matrix. When a substantial portion of data is unavailable, the estimation process becomes hindered, and prediction accuracy declines due to limited usable information. To address this issue, this study introduces a novel method called SiMoI (Similarity, Mode, and Minimum Imputation), which is adaptively designed to handle high levels of sparsity. The SiMoI method combines user similarity with imputation strategies based on mode and minimum values. By leveraging subsets of the most informative users and items, the method efficiently fills missing entries while maintaining prediction stability. Evaluation was conducted using both real and synthetic datasets with varying sizes and degrees of sparsity, including an extreme scenario with 93.7% missing data. Experimental results show that SiMoI consistently produces more accurate predictions than baseline methods. Under high-sparsity conditions, SiMoI achieved an RMSE as low as 0.823, outperforming KNNI (0.947) and MEAN (1.021). Moreover, SiMoI demonstrated resilience across different data scales and sparsity distributions, indicating its flexibility and scalability in diverse contexts. These findings suggest that SiMoI is an effective and stable approach for addressing sparsity and holds strong potential for implementation in user-based recommendation systems, particularly in real-world scenarios where data availability is frequently limited.

Abstract

Background: Psychosocial hazards are one of the risks that affect the mental health of hospital workers..Objective: This study aimed to assess awareness of psychosocial hazards in health and non-health workers at Dental and Oral Hospitals in Semarang.Methods: This cross-sectional study involved 154 respondents using a Psychosocial Survey of Healthcare Workers questionnaire that was adapted in Indonesian, covering 12 dimensions. The independent variables were age, gender, years of service, unit section, education level, and marital status, while the dependent variable was psychosocial hazard awareness.Results: The results showed that 57.1% of respondents had a good level of awareness of psychosocial hazards. Chi-square analysis showed a significant relationship between age (p=0.006), working period (p=0.002), education level (p=0.020), and marital status (p=0.043) and the level of awareness of psychosocial hazards, while gender and work unit showed no significant relationship. The results of the multivariate test with multiple logistic regression revealed the most significant factors, namely age (0.004) and education level (0.020).Conclusion: This awareness was important to prevent fatigue and mental disorders. Efforts to increase education about psychosocial hazards in the work environment were needed as a preventive measure to maintain the mental health of hospital workers.

Abstract

This research aimed to know the effect of the concentration of liquid organic seedto the growth and result of eegplant on alluvial soil. The research uses acompletely randomized design (CRD) the consint of 5 treatments and eachtreatments is repeated 5 times and replication consint of 3 plant samples. Thetreatment consist of POC 0,2 % (A), POC 0,3 % (B), 0,4 % (C), 0,5 % (D), 0,6 %(E). Observed variabels in this research are plant dry weight (g), days toflowering (HST), the number of flower each plant (bud), flower become fruitpercentege (%), number of fruits each plant (fruit), fruit weight each plant (g),number of fruit each plot (fruit). The results of this research shows the treatmeantgives significant effect on all the research variables. Concentration of 0,2 % produces the best growth and result to the variable plant dry weight, percentageof flowers into fruits, the number of fruits each plant, the number of number offruit each plot and fruit weight.Keywords: Concentration, Liquid Organic Seed (LOS), Eggplant, Alluvial soil

Abstract

Peningkatan kompetensi tenaga pendidik di madrasah ibtidaiyah merupakan salah satu isu strategis dalam pengembangan mutu pendidikan Islam dasar. Guru dituntut memiliki kompetensi pedagogik, profesional, sosial, dan kepribadian sesuai standar nasional pendidikan. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode studi literatur untuk menelaah strategi yang diterapkan dalam meningkatkan kompetensi guru, dengan fokus pada peran kepala madrasah, pelaksanaan lokakarya, partisipasi dalam MGMP, fasilitasi pengembangan diri, dukungan pendidikan lanjutan, serta supervisi akademik. Hasil kajian menunjukkan bahwa strategi terintegrasi yang melibatkan kebijakan kelembagaan, dukungan finansial, serta pembinaan profesional mampu meningkatkan kompetensi guru secara berkelanjutan. Kepala madrasah berperan sebagai penggerak utama dalam menciptakan iklim kerja yang kondusif, menyediakan fasilitas, serta melakukan supervisi akademik. Dengan demikian, strategi peningkatan kompetensi guru di madrasah ibtidaiyah harus dilakukan secara sistematis, berkelanjutan, dan berbasis kebutuhan guru.

Abstract

Madrasah Ibtidaiyah as an Islamic basic education institution has a strategic role in shaping the character and competence of students, but the management of Education Operational Costs (BOP) often faces obstacles of transparency, accountability, and limited resources, so that a leadership model is needed that is able to integrate administrative aspects with moral and spiritual values; This study uses a descriptive qualitative approach with interview, observation, and documentation techniques in three madrassas in West Purwokerto District to analyze the implementation of transformative leadership based on prophetic values (siddiq, amanah, tabligh, fathanah) in the management of BOP, with the aim of identifying leadership practices, supporting and inhibiting factors, and practical implications for improving the quality of education; The results of the study show that transformative leadership based on prophetic values is able to improve transparency, accountability, and efficiency of fund management, supported by religious culture, school committees, and government regulations, but still faces obstacles in the form of limited human resources and strict regulations on the use of funds, so this study provides a theoretical contribution to the development of Islamic education management as well as practical recommendations in the form of the need for management training based on prophetic values for madrasah heads and treasurers.

Abstract

Sampai saat ini masih banyak pelaku usaha di Desa Kadu Kecamatan Curug mencampur antara uang pribadi dan uang usaha yang berdampak keberlanjutan usaha. Mayoritas pelaku usaha kaos sablon belum menerapkan manajemen keuangan secara optimal sehingga mengalami kesulitan dalam mengelola arus kas, menentukan keuntungan, dan mengembangkan usaha. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji pentingnya manajemen keuangan bagi pelaku usaha dalam meningkatkan kinerja dan keberlangsungan bisnis. Metode yang digunakan dengan metode ceramah dan diskusi melalui tanya jawab secara langsung. Selain itu peserta praktek secara langsung membuat pencatatan keuangan secara sederhana. Kegiatan diikuti oleh 22 orang pelaku usaha dan 15 orang dosen dan 4 orang mahasiswa. Hasil kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat (PkM) dapat memberikan pengetahuan dan pengalaman dalam penerapan manajemen keuangan yang baik dapat membantu pelaku usaha dalam pengambilan keputusan, pengendalian biaya, peningkatan profitabilitas, serta menjaga stabilitas keuangan perusahaan. Oleh karena itu, pelaku usaha perlu memahami dan menerapkan prinsip-prinsip manajemen keuangan guna mencapai tujuan usaha secara berkelanjutan

Abstract

Pertumbuhan jumlah penduduk dan kebutuhan pangan yang meningkat menyebabkan tekanan terhadap ketersediaan lahan pertanian produktif. Salah satu solusi yang dapat dilakukan adalah optimalisasi pemanfaatan lahan tidur dengan tanaman yang sesuai berdasarkan kondisi agroklimat setempat. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan sistem rekomendasi tanaman yang sesuai dengan karakteristik wilayah berdasarkan metode penilaian skoring. Penelitian dilakukan melalui beberapa tahapan, yaitu identifikasi parameter agroklimat, pengumpulan data spasial dan non-spasial, pemberian bobot nilai terhadap parameter-parameter tersebut, serta analisis kecocokan lahan. Metode skoring dilakukan dengan memberikan nilai pada masing-masing parameter seperti curah hujan, suhu, ketinggian, dan jenis tanah, yang kemudian dijumlahkan untuk menentukan jenis tanaman yang paling cocok. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa sistem yang dikembangkan mampu memberikan rekomendasi jenis tanaman yang sesuai untuk suatu wilayah tertentu, dengan akurasi kecocokan berdasarkan validasi lapangan mencapai 87%. Temuan ini diharapkan dapat mendukung pengambilan keputusan dalam perencanaan tata guna lahan dan peningkatan produktivitas pertanian di wilayah yang selama ini belum dimanfaatkan secara optimal.
