Abstract

This study investigates the influence of daily study duration, task completion time, and gender on junior high school students' mathematics achievement using a Bayesian regression approach. The research was conducted at Sutomo Junior High School in Medan with a purposive sample of 19 seventh-grade students. Data were collected through a structured questionnaire and a mathematics achievement test, and analyzed using JASP software. Descriptive statistics were used to summarize student behavior, while Bayesian linear regression assessed the impact of the predictor variables. The results revealed that neither study duration nor task completion time significantly predicted mathematics achievement. Both variables showed a weak negative association with academic performance, suggesting that longer study or test-taking times do not necessarily yield better outcomes. The Bayes Factors indicated anecdotal or weak evidence in favor of the models. These findings highlight the limited predictive power of time-based behavioral indicators and emphasize the importance of study quality, learning strategies, and cognitive efficiency. The study contributes methodologically by demonstrating the utility of Bayesian analysis in small-sample educational research and offers insights for developing more comprehensive models of academic success

Abstract

Teknologi di bidang keuangan telah memberikan dampak yang signifikan terhadap proses pembangunan suatu negara, khususnya di bidang Financial Technology (Fintech). Penggunaan fintech telah meningkat secara signifikan di Jakarta, Indonesia, dengan peningkatan adopsi fintech sebesar 50% antara tahun 2020 dan 2021. Maraknya metode pembayaran digital, seperti e-wallet dan dompet digital, juga berkontribusi terhadap pertumbuhan fintech. Penggunaan uang elektronik juga meningkat pada tahun 2023, dengan Bank Indonesia melaporkan peningkatan jumlah transaksi menggunakan uang elektronik sebesar 5% pada tahun 2023. Pertumbuhan pasar online seperti Beli Sekarang, Bayar Nanti (BNPL), juga meningkat. berdampak pada sektor keuangan. Platform Shopee dan Gojek menjadi platform populer bagi konsumen untuk menggunakan layanan paylate. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode analisis deskriptif kuantitatif. Populasi dalam penelitian ini terdiri dari masyarakat yang tinggal di Kota Yogyakarta dan memanfaatkan layanan Shopee Paylater. Pengambilan sample dilakukan dengan metode purposive sampling dan penyebaran kuesioner kepada 83 responden. Pengolahan data SPSS versi 27. Hasil penelitian ini mengungkapkan bahwa pengendalian diri (self control) dan sikap keuangan (financial attitude) memiliki dampak positif terhadap perilaku keuangan (financial behavior) dalam penggunaan layanan beli sekarang bayar nanti (buy now pay later)

Abstract

Employee work ethic is one of the key factors in improving organizational performance, particularly in the government sector. However, low levels of enthusiasm and work motivation among employees can still be found, which may affect the achievement of organizational goals. This study aims to analyze the influence of human relation and work environment on employee work ethic at the Energy and Mineral Resources Office (Dinas Energi dan Sumber Daya Mineral or ESDM) of West Sumatra Province. A quantitative approach with a survey method was used. The population of the study consisted of all 62 employees of the ESDM Office, and total sampling was applied. The instrument used was a closed-ended questionnaire with a Likert scale, while the data analysis technique was multiple linear regression processed using SPSS software. The results show that the human relation variable has a positive and significant effect on employee work ethic, with a t-value of 3.827, greater than the t-table value of 1.67109, and a significance level of 0.000 < 0.05. Similarly, the work environment variable also has a positive and significant effect, with a t-value of 2.148 > t-table 1.67109 and a significance level of 0.036 < 0.05. These findings indicate that improving the quality of interpersonal relationships among employees and creating a conducive work environment can significantly enhance work ethic. Therefore, both factors should be prioritized in human resource development strategies within government institutions.

Abstract

This study aimed to determine the effect of customer service performance on customer loyalty in Astra Credit Companies Jambi. This study employs survey research using a questionnaire instrument. The samples taken in this study are a customer in Astra Credit Companies Jambi. The data analysis technique uses multiple regression to test the absolute value of the difference. This study shows that customer service performance (believable, enthusiastic, responsive, the best solution, professional) affects customer loyalty. The impact of customer service performance (credible, passionate, responsive, the best solution, professional) on customer loyalty has powerful coefficient determination. Based on this study, the advice that the authors can give is that the Astra Credit Companies are expected to increase the dimensions of reliability further because this dimension is the average lower than another dimension, namely by expanding the knowledge of customer service officers on work procedures concerning all customer needs who came to his desk and more able to interact with customers.

Abstract

Industri otomotif berkembang luar biasa di Indonesia, yang ditandai dengan peningkatan jumlah kendaraan bermotor dari tahun ke tahun. Honda, sebagai pemimpin pasar produsen sepeda motor yang produknya yaitu seri Beat paling banyak dicari oleh masyarakat Indonesia, tentu belum bisa berpuas diri. Apakah kualitas produk mempengaruhi perilaku konsumen dalam pembelian motor Honda Beat di STIE KBP kampus Padang? Penelitian ini dilakukan untuk melihat pengaruh kualitas produk terhadap perilaku konsumen dalam pembelian sepeda motor Honda Beat di STIE KBP kampus Padang dengan menerapkan perbandingan antara kualitas produk dan perilaku konsumen. Teknik pengambilan sampel yang digunakan adalah metode accidental/incidental sampling. Data dalam penelitian ini adalah data kualitatif dan kuantitatif, dimana data kualitatif adalah data yang tidak dapat dihitung dengan menggunakan angka, namun kuantitatif adalah data yang dapat dihitung dalam bentuk angka. Metode pengumpulan data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini menggunakan angket dan wawancara mengenai profil kampus, gambaran umum kampus dan daftar mahasiswa. Pengujian dilakukan dengan menggunakan metode uji asumsi klasik seperti: uji normalitas; uji multikolinearitas; uji heteroskedastisitas; uji autokorelasi.

Abstract

This research delves into the study of innovation dynamics in the context of education and the local economy in Pasir Jambu Village, Sukaraja, Bogor. The study focuses on two main aspects: creative learning and the empowerment of small businesses in the rural community. Through a careful qualitative approach, we explore the role of innovation in stimulating local economic growth and improving the quality of education. The research findings indicate that creative learning in the schools of Pasir Jambu Village has had a positive impact on students' critical and creative thinking abilities. Teachers implementing innovative teaching methods have helped unleash students' potential in various academic and non-academic aspects. On the other hand, the empowerment of small businesses through various innovative initiatives has enhanced the productivity and competitiveness of small business owners in this village.

Abstract

Penerimaan teknologi dan internet di masyarakat sudah sangat luas sehingga tidak heran kegiatan pemasaran secara digital dijadikan pilihan utama oleh kalangan pengusaha, hal ini juga diaplikasikan oleh para penggiat Usaha Mikro Kecil dan Menengah (UMKM). Banyaknya digital marketing yang dipakai oleh para pemasar, membuktikan bahwa digital marketing memiliki banyak kelebihan dan manfaat guna perkembangan usaha. Tujuan dari kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini adalah untuk memberikan pengenalan dan pelatihan terhadap para penggiat UMKM yang berada di Kota Padang, Provinsi Sumatra Barat. Diharapkan melalui kegiatan ini para penggiat UMKM mampu meningkatkan penjualannya demi keberlangsungan usahanya.

Abstract

Introduction: Diabetes Mellitus (DM) is a growing global health concern, particularly in Indonesia, where the prevalence is projected to rise significantly. Diabetic Foot Ulcer (DFU) is a severe complication of DM that escalates the risk of amputations. Early detection of DFUs plays a crucial role in preventing associated complications Objective: This review aimed to assess the efficacy of infrared thermography in detecting DFUs in the Asia-Pacific region. Methods: A scoping review methodology adhering to PRISMA guidelines was employed. Databases were searched from 2011-2021. PICO strategy used keyword Diabetic foot ulcer, Skin ulcer, Leg ulcer, Foot ulcer, Diabetic neuropathic, Thermography, Temperature mapping, and Detection from PubMed, Scopus, Google Scholar, and Science Direct. Quality of article assessed by JBI. Results: Four (4) studies meeting the inclusion criteria were identified, primarily cross-sectional in design. The results indicated promising sensitivity and specificity of infrared thermography in detecting DFUs among DM patients. The technology's ability to capture thermal images revealing temperature variations associated with tissue inflammation, a common DFU indicator, underscores its efficacy. This non-invasive technique allows for early detection and monitoring of DFUs, facilitating timely interventions and improving patient outcomes. Additionally, infrared thermography provides a quantitative and objective assessment of tissue health, complementing traditional visual inspection and palpation methods. Its effectiveness lies in detecting subtle skin temperature changes, aiding in early identification and management of DFUs before they progress to more severe stages. Conclusion: Infrared thermography shows significant potential in detecting DFUs early, which is vital for effective management and prevention of severe complications. Despite the promising results, broader and more rigorous studies are necessary to validate these findings across different populations and healthcare settings. Further research across diverse settings and study designs is essential to reinforce these findings.

Abstract

The prevalence of coronary heart disease in Indonesia continues to rise. Efforts to prevent coronary heart disease thru increasing family knowledge are very much needed. One of the efforts that can be made to increase family knowledge is thru health education using video media and leaflets. Research discussing the influence of educational media such as videos and leaflets on family knowledge in the prevention of heart disease is still limited. In addition, based on interviews with several family members in Tanah Datar Village, they stated that they have never received information about PJK prevention thru videos and leaflets. The number of people with hypertension and diabetes mellitus, which are risk factors for cardiovascular disease, is also quite high. The purpose of this study is to determine the effect of video- and leaflet-based education on improving families’ knowledge and attitudes regarding the preventionn of CHD. This research is an experimental study with a One group pre-test-post-test design approach. The sample size is 105 participants. Data analysis was performed using SPSS with a Paired Sample T-Test. A p-value of < 0.05 was considered statistically significant. The average knowledge score before the intervention was 53.41, and after the intervention, it was 84.49, with a p-value of 0.000. The average attitude score before the intervention was 22.70, and after the intervention, it was 33.90, with a p-value of 0.000. The intervention of health education videos and leaflets significantly improved the family’s knowledge about CHD prevention and their attitudes towards preventive actions.

Abstract

The purpose of the research is to increase students' understanding of economic activities by utilizing natural resources. Subject of the research were 20 student from grade 4 at Palur 04 elementary school. This research was conducted in 2 cycles, each of which consisted of planning, implementation and reflection. In this study, researchers also collected data, the first was observation, then researchers conducted interviews with students and teachers, then used tests and used several documents to support research. In the data validities test technique, researchers used triangulation then source triangulation techniques. then for data analysis techniques, researchers use comparative descriptive techniques and critical analysis techniques. This study revealed that students' understanding of concepts improved after using a mind mapping model. it can be seen through the average value obtained. Scores obtained by students before applying this mind mapping model get an average value of 67.25 with a percentage of 40%. then continued with the first cycle, where the average score of students increased by 73.45 (65%). because it has not yet reached the indicator, the second cycle increases again, which then increases to 80.20 (90%)
