Abstract

The unemployment rates in Indonesia are deemed to be elevated, and a potential strategy to tackle this predicament involves augmenting entrepreneurial intention among university students. This approach fosters job creation prospects after graduation rather than pursuing traditional employment options. Hence, this study aimed to analyze the impact of entrepreneurship education and orientation in enhancing intention of entrepreneurship among students at a Private University. To achieve this objective, a comprehensive data collection process was conducted, involving the distribution of questionnaires to 327 students who had previously received entrepreneurship education. The data analysis method employed was Structural Equation Modeling, enabling a rigorous examination of the relationships between the variables. The results showed a significant role played by education and orientation of entrepreneurship in enhancing intention of entrepreneurship among the students. Furthermore, these results offered valuable insights into the importance of three variables and elucidated their intricate interrelationships.

Abstract

Pada masa new normal ini membawa banyak perubahan pada perilaku masyarakat dalam mengonsumsi barang/jasa, hal ini dituntut juga kesiapan para UMKM sebagai penyedia produk terutama dalam menyiapkan pemasaran digital untuk memperluas pasar. Dunia digital yang mencakup masyarakat yang lebih luas lebih selektif dalam pemilihan produk yang akan mereka beli, ditambah lagi begitu banyaknya pilihan produk dari produsen yang ada, UMKM yang baru atau yang telah masuk ke dunia digital perlu lebih disiapkan dengan berbagai strategi digital yang up to date. Pada pengabdian masyarakat, tim dosen Universitas Kristen Maranatha ingin memberikan pelatihan kepada masyarakat Kelurahan Sadang Serang Bandung mengenai kesiapan UMKM menuju UMKM go digital, agar lebih siap bersaing di masa new normal ini.

Abstract

Purpose: This community service initiative aims to support educational institutions in fostering the social and emotional development of adolescents by promoting awareness of saving, enhancing understanding of personal finance concepts, and equipping adolescents with essential financial skills to navigate future financial challenges. Methodology: The methodology employed in this initiative involved simulations and role-playing activities structured as a training program. The training focuses on the "Gerakan SMART" (Simpan, Mengurutkan kebutuhan, Atur pengeluaran, Realisasikan, dan Tercatat), a framework designed to assist individuals in creating, managing, and effectively utilizing personal finances. Results: A total of 97 junior high school students participated in this study. Evaluation based on three key indicators revealed that the community service activity was successful in achieving its objectives. The "Gerakan SMART" game improved the participants’ knowledge of financial management. Conclusion: Financial management is a crucial skill for adolescents, preparing them to face future financial challenges and ensuring their well-being. Training programs focused on financial management for young people are expected to cultivate future leaders equipped to thrive in competitive workplace environments that demand these skills, thereby contributing to the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). Limitations: Owing to time and resource limitations, the program had difficulty ensuring that participants fully understood the material and assessing the training’s long-term effects. Contribution: By promoting the "Gerakan SMART" framework, the program equips young generations with the tools to navigate future financial challenges and prepares them to be leaders in the future.

Abstract

This study aims to investigate three relationships. The first is between company image and customer loyalty (CL). The second is between brand image and CL. The final decision is between a company and the brand image. Moreover, to meet this goal, readers of the West Java Tribun Daily Newspaper in Bandung are employed as the sample. Unfortunately, this study only gathered data from 75 people using the convenience sampling technique. Moreover, it analyzed their responses statistically using confirmatory factor and reliability analyses, as well as assessment model criteria and t-statistics, to examine the shaped hypotheses using a partial least squares-based structural equation model. As a result, three positive tendencies occur: (1) Consumers with a stronger brand image will have better loyalty, (2) the higher their brand image, the higher their loyalty, and (3) the customers with a better company image will have a better brand image. Based on these facts, this study recommends that West Java Tribun News in Bandung pay attention to the digital media content background, such as YouTube and social media. Additionally, its assigned staff members should interact with the readers by replying to their comments on these media.

Abstract

This study explores the influence of personal and organizational characteristics on the motivation of successors in family business succession in Indonesia. Through a survey involving 30 respondents from West Java, data were analyzed using NVivo software. Findings indicate that age, gender, and business scale influence successor motivation, especially when succession plans are in place. The research highlights the importance of mature succession planning as a key to family business success. These findings can support the development of more effective policies and improvements in succession process management. Limitations of the study include questions that do not consider the business sector comprehensively and the need for a more varied sample. Future research can enrich this model and address these limitations to deepen understanding of family business succession.

Abstract

Kegiatan seminar internasional yang menghadirkan akademisi Jepang dan Indonesia diselenggarakan sebagai ruang dialog akademik untuk memperkaya wawasan mengenai arah penguatan pembangunan infrastruktur dan transformasi pembangunan daerah di Jawa Barat. Forum ini menjadi sarana pertukaran gagasan terkait transformasi digital, penguatan sumber daya manusia, tata kelola keberlanjutan, serta kolaborasi multipihak dalam pembangunan regional. Melalui paparan narasumber dan diskusi interaktif, kegiatan ini menghasilkan berbagai perspektif strategis yang menekankan pentingnya pendekatan sistemik dalam pembangunan, tidak hanya berfokus pada modernisasi infrastruktur fisik, tetapi juga pada penguatan kapasitas institusional, kesiapan sosial, dan pemanfaatan teknologi berbasis data. Kegiatan ini berkontribusi dalam memperluas pemahaman akademik serta mendorong diseminasi gagasan pembangunan berkelanjutan melalui dialog lintas negara.
