Abstract

Assessment within the framework of guidance and counselling serves as a basis for planning guidance and counseling programmes according to needs, enabling the achievement of the goals of guidance and counseling services through the suitability of the program and description of the counselee's condition and environmental conditions. This study uses a qualitative approach. Researchers used researchers as the main instrument, conducted purposive sampling of questionnaire data, used inductive/qualitative data collection and analysis techniques, and the results emphasized meaning rather than generalizations. It can be concluded that the main purpose of implementing the assessment instrument is to collect data. Data can be defined in various scientific contexts as a collection of information or information about objects or non-objects. For example, intelligence data can be defined as a collection of numbers, measurements, quantities, descriptions, or classifications of a person's intelligence. Personal data can also be defined as a collection of numbers, measurements, amounts, descriptions or classifications of a person's intelligence. In this case the data in question is student data obtained using internet-based media, namely Google Form. Overall, this discussion shows that using Google Forms as a student needs assessment tool has many advantages, such as ease of use and efficiency, as well as the ability to collect and analyze data in real time. However, keep in mind that factors related to internet access can be a barrier to this use. In such a situation, an alternative solution may be needed as described by the author in the previous paragraph. With the existence of a google form with the various conveniences offered by google, it is the author's hope that guidance and counseling teachers can utilize this media to make their work easier to be more efficient and adapt to the latest technological developments.

Abstract

Multicultural awareness is important for students in the 21st century, and its level needs to be measured using standardized instruments. This study aimed to examine the acceptability of the multicultural awareness instrument developed by Ali (2011) for Junior High School (SMP) students in Sukoharjo, Indonesia. The instrument adaptation process involved five stages with a sample of 308 participants. Acceptability of the instrument was analyzed using the RASCH Model. The research findings present the instrument's ability to measure what is intended to measure, the relationship between respondents and items, and the difficulty level of the items. The results indicate that the multicultural awareness instrument is valid and reliable for application among students. Future researchers are suggested to examine this instrument at the senior high school level and use it as a measure of students' multicultural awareness for experimental research. Moreover, integrating multicultural awareness into the learning process can enhance educational practices.

Abstract

This study aims to develop and evaluate the content validity of an academic resilience instrument for junior high school students (SMP) that includes three main dimensions: perseverance, self-reflection and adaptive assistance, and negative affect and emotional responses. Through an assessment process by three experts using the Aiken's V technique, 45 out of 54 items (83.3%) were declared to have high content validity (Aiken's V ≥ 0.80), while the other nine items showed low validity (Aiken's V = 0.333) and were recommended for revision. These findings indicate that in general the instrument has met the criteria for adequate content validity and is suitable for use to measure the academic resilience of junior high school students. The main recommendation of this study is to maintain items that have been proven valid, and to conduct further revisions and empirical testing using exploratory factor analysis (EFA) or confirmatory factor analysis (CFA) methods to ensure the structure and internal consistency of the instrument statistically.

Abstract

Career plays a crucial role in an individual’s life and should be developed from an early age. However, many Generation Alpha adolescents have not yet realized their career interests. This study aims to determine the feasibility and effectiveness of "Aku dan Kesadaran Karirku" e-book as a tool for increasing students’ career awareness. Development followed the ADDIE model (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation). The study involved 152 eighth-grade students from four MTs N in Sleman, Yogyakarta. Data collection techniques included career awareness scales and interview guidelines. Feasibility was measured on a Likert scale of 1-5 (4.8 = very feasible). Practicality assessments yielded scores of 4.45 (individual trial), 4.12 (small group), 4.19 (large group), and 4.43 (teachers), indicating high effectiveness. Wilcoxon test showed significant improvement (p < 0.05). The findings conclude that the developed e-book is feasible and effective for enhancing career awareness, serving as an innovative tool for school counselors. Abstract

This research aims to describe the resilience of MSME actors through aspects of resilience, resilience abilities, and independence of MSME actors in developing “the Pekan Breakfast Karya Anak Muda” (Pasar Kamu) tourist village. This research uses a qualitative method with a phenomenological approach. Data were collected through observation, interviews, and documentation. This research ensures data validity through source, technical, and time triangulation. Data analysis included data collection, condensation, presentation, and conclusion drawing. The research results show that (1) “Pasar Kamu” MSME players utilize digital marketing training and community involvement to increase product exposure and strengthen commitment. With an efficient management system, stress management strategy, and collaboration with business actors and the government, they support the sustainability of tourist villages through continuous improvement. (2) MSME players manage emotions and make measured decisions by discussing, exercising, and self-reflecting with mentors. They avoid impulsive decisions with a policy of overnight sleep and team consultation. Optimism and empathy are driven by achievement celebrations, motivational books, and community support, while systematic analysis increases efficiency and profitability. (3) “Pasar Kamu” MSME players overcome operational challenges through cooperative loans, strategic location selection, and cooperative assistance for production capacity. They implement appropriate strategic planning and management systems and use data-based performance evaluation to support sustainable growth.

Abstract

Students often face issues with writing reference management when writing scientific papers. To avoid plagiarism, it is necessary to cite and include a bibliography. Quality scientific work needs to understand the appropriate scientific writing rules including reference management. Training on reference management using Mendeley needs to be given to students to produce quality scientific work. This training was held face-to-face by providing reference management material using Mendeley and accompanying students to practice directly in using Mendeley reference management. The training was attended by 258 participants. This activity includes three stages, namely planning, implementation, and evaluation. Training on using Mendeley reference management has been carried out well and according to plan. The results of the training showed that there was an increase in students' knowledge and skills in using Mendeley reference management. This training needs to be carried out within the scope of other faculties and even universities so that the entire academic community can use Mendeley reference management properly. Participants are advised to continue practicing, developing reference management skills with Mendeley, attending further training, and utilizing mentoring to produce high-quality papers and face complex academic demands.

Abstract

This study explores the role of multicultural values in strengthening students' nationalism at SMPN 1 Sleman. Through a qualitative descriptive approach using interviews, observations, and documentation, the research found that multicultural values—encompassing diversity, tolerance, and cultural appreciation—are integrated into classroom learning, daily activities, and the Pancasila Student Profile Strengthening Project (P5). These efforts foster attitudes of tolerance, mutual respect, and cultural appreciation, enhancing students' understanding of national identity and unity. By embracing cultural diversity, students develop strong, inclusive personalities, preparing them to face global challenges while maintaining a sense of nationalism.

Abstract

Every individual has future career aspirations but often faces challenges in realising them. Early career awareness and planning through career exploration is an important factor in their achievement. In elementary school-aged children, this exploration is still at the fantasy stage, where they are interested in professions that they often see. This study examines the career fantasies of Generation Alpha and the factors that influence them. Using a descriptive quantitative approach, this study involved 100 students in grades 3-6 in a remote school in Lampung, selected through purposive sampling. Data were collected through an open-ended questionnaire related to professional interests, reasons for choosing a profession, and sources of information that influence career fantasies. The results showed that doctors, teachers, police, and soldiers were the most frequently chosen professions by students. Gender, family, school, and digital media influence career fantasies. The findings have implications for career education and guidance, supporting children's early career development. Keywords: career fantasies, alpha generation, digital technology, career development
