Abstract

This research aims to explore the utilization of a Decision Support System (DSS) in the loan application approval process using the SMART method. DSS helps identify, assess, and mitigate various types of risks associated with loans, enhancing the efficiency and productivity of loan processing operations. By automating repetitive tasks, streamlining workflows, and reducing manual intervention, it improves customer satisfaction by providing faster response times. DSS also helps lenders comply with applicable laws and regulations by incorporating compliance checks, regulatory guidelines, and audit trails into the loan processing workflow, thereby reducing the costs and risks associated with manual processes, errors, and inefficiencies in loan processing. Traditional loan assessment methods often require manual processes, leading to delays and inaccuracies. The SMART method (Specific, Measurable, Achievable, Relevant, Time-bound) offers a structured approach to implementing DSS with clear and measurable outcomes. By leveraging DSS, lenders can streamline the loan application process, enhance decision-making accuracy, and improve customer satisfaction. This study will investigate the use of a SMART-based DSS in the loan application workflow and provide insights into best practices for implementing a SMART-based DSS solution in lending institutions. The findings of this research will contribute to the optimization of loan application processes and the improvement of decision-making capabilities in the financial industry, consistently, objectively, and more quickly. The system has the capability to collect, store, and manage data related to loan applications.

Abstract

The rapid development of information technology has increased the intensity of cybercrime, especially in Central Java, which has a large digital population. Crimes such as online fraud, the spread of hoaxes, and online gambling are becoming increasingly difficult to handle due to their anonymous and cross-border nature. This research aims to analyse the challenges of law enforcement against cybercrime, evaluate the strategies of law enforcement agencies, and highlight the potential of the community's role in prevention. Using a qualitative method with a descriptive-analytical approach, data were collected through interviews, observations, and documentation, and then analyzed thematically. The research results show three main findings: technical and institutional limitations in handling cybercrime, strategic steps taken by the Central Java Police Cyber Crime Directorate, and the low literacy and community involvement in prevention. This research emphasises that the effectiveness of law enforcement can be significantly enhanced by the synergy of regulations, technology, and community participation. The implication is that policies are needed to integrate community-based repressive and preventive approaches. Further research is recommended to explore more inclusive and locally based digital literacy strategies, underlining the importance of continuous learning and adaptation in combating cybercrime.

Abstract

This study aims to evaluate the legal effectiveness of diversion mechanisms within Indonesia’s juvenile justice system, particularly in relation to the state’s commitment to restorative justice principles. Although a comprehensive legal framework is in place—namely Law No. 11 of 2012 and Supreme Court Regulation (PERMA) No. 4 of 2014 (Peraturan Mahkamah Agung)—the implementation of diversion remains limited, with only 14.1% of juvenile cases resolved through this mechanism. This gap reveals a significant disconnect between legal norms and practical enforcement. The study employs a normative-qualitative legal research method, utilizing document analysis of statutory regulations and institutional reports from the Ministry of Law and Human Rights, the Indonesian Child Protection Commission (KPAI), the Directorate General of Corrections, as well as secondary sources including academic literature, media coverage, and official documentation. Thematic analysis was applied to identify structural, cultural, and institutional barriers in the implementation of diversion. The findings highlight three major issues: (1) regional disparities in the application of diversion, especially between urban centers and disadvantaged (3T) areas; (2) structural obstacles, including a shortage of trained personnel, lack of proper mediation facilities, and weak interagency coordination; and (3) the persistence of a retributive and legalistic legal culture among both law enforcement officials and the general public, which impedes the acceptance of restorative approaches. This study makes a significant contribution to the discourse on juvenile justice reform by emphasizing the need for systemic support and cross-sectoral collaboration to ensure the effective realization of diversion. Policy implications include the strengthening of training programs, infrastructure development, and public legal education. The originality of this research lies in its integrative evaluative framework, which combines legal, institutional, and socio-cultural analysis, offering a comprehensive assessment of the effectiveness of diversion in Indonesia.

Abstract

This research discusses the phenomenon of early marriage that occurs in Pinayungan Village, Karawang Regency, by highlighting the imbalance between legal norms and social norms prevailing in the community. Although legal regulations, such as Law No. 16 of 2019 and PERMA No. 5 of 2019, have regulated the minimum age of marriage and marriage dispensation procedures for the protection of children's rights, the practice of early marriage is still rampant. Through a juridical-sociological approach and qualitative method, this study explores the sociocultural factors behind early marriage, including the belief in the "itung-itungan" tradition and parents' concerns about promiscuity. Interviews with the Religious Affairs Office and one of the children who married early show that social norms in the community take precedence over formal state legal norms. This phenomenon reinforces the concept of "living law" proposed by Eugen Ehrlich. In addition to violating positive law, the practice of early marriage also causes violations of various children's rights guaranteed by the Child Protection Law and the Convention on the Rights of the Child, such as the right to education, health, decent work, and the right to grow and develop optimally. This study recommends the need for a culture-based legal approach to encourage the effective implementation of child protection and prevention of early marriage.

Abstract

As is known, the stock price index always fluctuates. Fluctuations are sometimes high, sometimes low, and sometimes it is difficult to predict the rise and fall of the stock index. Therefore, the purpose of this study is to determine how the variables of world oil prices, world gold prices and inflation affect the Indonesian sharia stock index (ISSI). The type of data is secondary data. The data taken is time-series data, the time period January 2021 - February 2025. The dependent variable is ISSI, while the independent variables are world oil prices, world gold prices and inflation. Data sources come from BPS (Central Statistics Agency), BI (Bank Indonesia) and investing.com. The analysis method used is the OLS (Ordinary Least Square) method with multiple linear regression techniques. Before analyzing, classical assumption detection was carried out starting from the detection of normality, multicollinearity, heteroscedasticity and autocorrelation. The estimation results show that the world oil price variable does not affect the movement of the ISSI, while the world gold price and inflation have a positive effect on the Indonesian sharia stock index.

Abstract

The rapid transformation of the banking industry, driven by advancements in digital technology, has reshaped how banks deliver services and interact with customers. This study investigates the impact of system quality, information quality, and service quality on online customer experience and customer loyalty in the digital banking context. Using the Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM) method, data was collected from 95 respondents who have actively used mobile banking services for over three years. The findings reveal that system quality and information quality significantly influence customer loyalty and online customer experience, while service quality does not have a direct effect on customer loyalty. Similarly, system quality does not significantly affect online customer experience unless paired with other quality dimensions. These results highlight the evolving priorities of digital banking customers, who value efficient, secure, and intuitive platforms over traditional service interactions. The study emphasizes the importance of integrating high system and information quality with personalized and responsive service to enhance the overall customer experience. This research provides theoretical and practical insights for banking institutions aiming to strengthen their digital strategies and foster sustainable customer loyalty in the competitive landscape of digital banking.
