Abstract

We often hear about various cases of fraud or inappropriate investment practices in Indonesia, one of which was carried out by DNA Pro. This study aims to investigate the impact of celebrity endorsers on investment decisions, particularly in the DNA Pro trading robot case, where the total public loss due to the alleged illegal investment is estimated at 97 billion rupiah. Unfortunately, many artists are endorsers and influencers from these various online investment platforms. The number of celebrity endorsers has succeeded in attracting the interest of many potential investors. The method used in this study was a quantitative approach, utilizing the Smart PLS application version 4. Thus, the effectiveness of celebrity endorsers as an attraction is still something to consider. This study aims to reaffirm whether each construct in the Source Credibility Model still significantly influences the formation of product purchase intentions or is only limited to the popularity of the endorser. The findings of this research proved that the intention to purchase investment products can only be formed by the celebrity attractiveness construct alone.

Abstract

This research aims to explore the utilization of a Decision Support System (DSS) in the loan application approval process using the SMART method. DSS helps identify, assess, and mitigate various types of risks associated with loans, enhancing the efficiency and productivity of loan processing operations. By automating repetitive tasks, streamlining workflows, and reducing manual intervention, it improves customer satisfaction by providing faster response times. DSS also helps lenders comply with applicable laws and regulations by incorporating compliance checks, regulatory guidelines, and audit trails into the loan processing workflow, thereby reducing the costs and risks associated with manual processes, errors, and inefficiencies in loan processing. Traditional loan assessment methods often require manual processes, leading to delays and inaccuracies. The SMART method (Specific, Measurable, Achievable, Relevant, Time-bound) offers a structured approach to implementing DSS with clear and measurable outcomes. By leveraging DSS, lenders can streamline the loan application process, enhance decision-making accuracy, and improve customer satisfaction. This study will investigate the use of a SMART-based DSS in the loan application workflow and provide insights into best practices for implementing a SMART-based DSS solution in lending institutions. The findings of this research will contribute to the optimization of loan application processes and the improvement of decision-making capabilities in the financial industry, consistently, objectively, and more quickly. The system has the capability to collect, store, and manage data related to loan applications.

Abstract

The rapid development of information technology has increased the intensity of cybercrime, especially in Central Java, which has a large digital population. Crimes such as online fraud, the spread of hoaxes, and online gambling are becoming increasingly difficult to handle due to their anonymous and cross-border nature. This research aims to analyse the challenges of law enforcement against cybercrime, evaluate the strategies of law enforcement agencies, and highlight the potential of the community's role in prevention. Using a qualitative method with a descriptive-analytical approach, data were collected through interviews, observations, and documentation, and then analyzed thematically. The research results show three main findings: technical and institutional limitations in handling cybercrime, strategic steps taken by the Central Java Police Cyber Crime Directorate, and the low literacy and community involvement in prevention. This research emphasises that the effectiveness of law enforcement can be significantly enhanced by the synergy of regulations, technology, and community participation. The implication is that policies are needed to integrate community-based repressive and preventive approaches. Further research is recommended to explore more inclusive and locally based digital literacy strategies, underlining the importance of continuous learning and adaptation in combating cybercrime.
