Abstract

Kejar Paket B is a non-formal education which is the same to Junior High Schools. Curriculum of Kejar Paket B is also the same to a given curriculum on Junior High Schools. Although having the same curriculum, but it has different implementation of the learning process. One of these facilities in terms of the learning process, teachers often make the conventional learning.The objective  of this research is to evaluate the implementation of learning mathematics in Semarang Kejar Paket B using CIPP model (Context, Input, Process, Product). This research consists of four evaluation, namely: (1) the context evaluation, (2) the input evaluation, (3) the process evaluation, and (4) the results evaluation. This research used a qualitative approach. The results showed that the instruments used in the evaluation of the learning process using CIPP model can be used with little revision. Moreover the process of implementation of the researchindicates that the process of learning mathematics in Semarang Kejar Paket  B is not well structured from the procurement needs of students, facilities, and the teaching material of mathematics. It is also supported by the unapproriateness of acquisition results of the Final National Exam score.

Abstract

The aim of this study is to determine the effect of the availability of practical equipment on student learning outcomes in department of mathematics education di University Muhammadiyah Semarang. The populations are lecturers and students who are in the fourth semester in that department. While the sample are 23 students  who took the course of workshop mathematical equipment. Data were collected through observation, questionnaires and documentation. Analysis of influence test by using linear regression test. The result showed that the average of students' learning achievement is 77.3. While the effect of the availability of practice equipment to students' learning achievement is 23,4%. Keywords: workshop, mathematics manipulative, learning proses

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effectiveness of Three Step Interviewbased Scientific learning model to ability of mathematical communication. This research is an experimental research conducted at SMP Negeri 2 Ngadirejo in Temanggung District.Sampling with Purposive Sampling technique. The research population is all students of class VIII with sample of class VIII B (experiment) and class VIII C (control). The independent variable used is motivation and communicative, the dependent variable of mathematical communication ability. Methods of data collection using interviews, documentation, tests, observations, and questionnaires. The results showed: (1) the average mathematical communication ability of the experimental class students reached 83.24 with the percentage of completeness of 79.411%; (2) there was a motivationand communicative influence on the mathematical communication ability 80.4%;(3) there is difference of experiment class average which reach 83,24 and control class reach 73,76. Based on the three criteria above shows that Three Step Interviewbased Scientific learning model to the mathematical communication ability of grade VIII students of building the flatside space effective.Keywords: Three Step Interview, Scientific, Mathematical Communication.

Abstract

Problems in this research that is learning of derivative matter about problem solving problem still considered difficult. Lack of motivation and responsibility result in problem-solving abilities also low. This study aims to develop a valid learning media and learning with learning media developed effectively. Effective is referred to in this research is to achieve mastery, the influence and the difference of average. This research is a type of development research with ADDIE Model which is an abbreviation of Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, Evaluation. The population in this study are all students of class XI in SMA N 1 Jatinomacademic year 2016/2017. Sampling technique using purposive sampling technique. Techniques used to collect data in this study are interviews, documentation, observation, questionnaires and tests. Kevalidan mediaproduct developed based on validation consisting of validation of expert media I with achievement level of 93,75%, media expert II equal to 87,5%, material expert equal to 77,5% and media user equal to 86,67%. The average achievement rate is 86.355%, so the learning media is feasible to be used. The result of completeness test of problem solving ability reaching completeness of study individually with KKM 77 counted 31 students from 38 students and mastery classically 83,87%. Result of influence test by using linear regression test in SPSS program showed that motivation and responsibility influence problem solving equal to 98,1%. The mean difference test results indicate an average difference in problem solvingskills of the experimental class and control class. The average problem solving ability of the experimental class is better that 82.90 than the control class of 70.25. So the Uno Static Learning Media in the Application of Snowball Throwing Learning Model The Class XI Derivative Material is valid and effective learning. Abstract

Changes in the orientation of 21st-century education by training soft skills are of particular concern to the world of education. Revise the 2013 curriculum by adding skills (1). Critical Thinking and Problem-Solving; (2) Creativity and Innovation; (3) Communications; (4) Collaboration that is included in each learning content gives a message about the importance of this skill. This was done because Indonesia's low position in the PISA ranking based on the Education Development Index released in 2016 was ranked 61, 62, and 63 out of 72 countries for the fields of science, reading, and mathematics. Facts on the ground, teachers are still not well prepared for learning. Conventional teaching methods with lectures and teacher-centered are still the favorites. Answering these challenges, lesson design using a learning model (Read, Answer, Discuss, Explain, Create) RADEC can be used as an alternative solution to train 21st-century skills in elementary schools. The research model used is descriptive qualitative from the results of observations, documentation, and interviews. The results showed that students were trained to analyze critical thinking, creativity, and innovation, to communicate and collaborate well at the stages of the RADEC learning model. Students are more active and interested in learning, it is easier to understand the material and get satisfactory results.Keywords: RADEC, 4C, lesson design
