Abstract

Within the framework of the Merdeka Curriculum, educators are directed to guide and teach students in accordance with their characteristics, interests, and talents. The development of the independent learning concept within the Merdeka Curriculum can be directed towards differentiated learning. The method implemented involves providing socialization and training to teachers at SMAN 3 Sidoarjo in the creation of teaching modules with the application of constructive methods. The instrument used as a measure of the success of this community service activity is a post-activity questionnaire consisting of 7 questions. There were 70 participants from SMAN 3 Sidoarjo involved in this community service, which took place at SMAN 3 Sidoarjo. Participants in the community service displayed a positive response (average score of 98.32) regarding participant satisfaction, alignment of participant expectations with the activity, the competence of facilitators and presenters, the effectiveness or responsiveness of facilitators and presenters, and participant interest. The results of this community service can be implemented in the process of creating differentiated teaching modules at SMAN 3 Sidoarjo.

Abstract

Konsep utama kurikulum merdeka adalah implementasi konsep pendidikan yang berorientasi pada siswa. Salah satu cara mewujudkan pendidikan berorientasi pada siswa adalah menerapkan pembelajaran berdiferensiasi. Penelitian ini bertujuan menganalisis kesulitan – kesulitan pendidik kelompok MGMP Kimia Sidoarjo dalam pembuatan modul ajar berdiferensiasi di era kurikulum merdeka. Penelitian ini menggunakan penelitian kualitatif deskriptif dengan teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan angket. Penelitian ini dilakukan di MGMP Kimia Sidoarjo dengan subjek penelitian guru kimia yang mengikuti kegiatan pendampingan kompetensi sejumlah 80 orang guru. Dari hasil angket didapatkan hasil 50% responden sudah mencoba membuat modul ajar berdiferensiasi. Namun, didapatkan fakta menarik yaitu ditemukan sebanyak 100% responden atau semua responden mengalami kendala ketika menyusun modul ajar berdiferensiasi. Berdasarkan analisis dan pembahasan di atas dapat disimpulkan bahwa pelaku pendidikan di MGMP Kimia Sidoarjo masih mengalami kesulitan terkait pembuatan modul ajar berdiferensiasi sebagai perangkat pembelajaran dalam era kurikulum merdeka. Abstract

Artikel pengabdian ini bertujuan untuk mengoptimasi pembelajaran kimia melalui peningkatan pemahaman bersama dan pendampingan bagi para guru MGMP Kimia dalam implementasi kurikulum merdeka di Kabupaten Lumajang. Kurikulum merdeka memberikan kebebasan bagi guru dalam menyusun materi pembelajaran yang sesuai dengan kebutuhan dan potensi siswa. Namun, kendala seperti keterbatasan akses informasi, sarana, prasarana, dan minimnya kolaborasi antar guru dapat mempengaruhi kualitas pembelajaran kimia. Tim pengabdian Departemen Kimia FMIPA UM melakukan analisis kebutuhan dan tantangan yang dihadapi para guru MGMP Kimia Kabupaten Lumajang. Kegiatan ini dilaksanakan selama dua bulan. Berdasarkan hasil analisis, dilakukan program pendampingan dan pelatihan yang fokus pada pemahaman bersama tentang kurikulum merdeka dan penerapannya dalam pembelajaran kimia. Program ini melibatkan kegiatan pelatihan, diskusi, observasi, dan pemberian feedback yang berkesinambungan. Selain itu, tim pengabdian juga memberikan dukungan dalam menyusun dan mengoptimalkan sumber daya pembelajaran kimia. Sumber daya ini berupa modul pembelajaran, materi presentasi, dan bahan ajar interaktif lainnya yang dapat meningkatkan kreativitas dan efektivitas pembelajaran kimia. Hasil dari pelaksanaan program dievaluasi untuk mengukur dampak dan efektivitas kegiatan pengabdian. Artikel ini berharap dapat memberikan panduan bagi para pendidik dan peneliti untuk meningkatkan kualitas pendidikan kimia di Kabupaten Lumajang. Diharapkan, pengabdian ini dapat berkontribusi positif dalam mendukung pembangunan pendidikan yang lebih baik dan inovatif di daerah tersebut.

Abstract

Salah satu kebijakan yang menjadi perubahan dari Kurikulum 13 ke dalam Kurikulum Merdeka diantara lain adalah perangkat pembelajaran berupa RPP yang berubah menjadi Modul Ajar. Pengembangan potensi dan pelatihan perlu dilakukan terlebih lagi banyak pendidik yang mengalami kesulitan dalam mengembangkan perangkat pembelajaran yaitu modul ajar terutama dalam pembelajaran berdiferensiasi. Studi pendahuluan dilakukan untuk menganalisis kebutuhan terkait kesulitan mitra. Adapun alat ukur atau indikator yang digunakan untuk mengukur kebutuhan mitra dengan menggunakan angket. Berdasarkan data angket kepada mitra 91,43% responden mampu menjelaskan pengetahuan mengenai modul ajar. Pemahaman guru mengenai modul ajar didukung hasil survey bahwa semua guru mampu membedakan perangkat pembelajaran yang digunakan di kurikulum 2013 dan kurikulum merdeka.Tingginya presentase pemahaman modul ajar didukung dengan 91,43% responden sudah mencoba membuat modul ajar berdiferensiasi. Namun ditemukan 77,14% responden mengalami kendala ketika menyusun modul ajar berdiferensiasi. Berdasarkan analisis dan pembahasan di atas pembuatan modul ajar sebagai perangkat pembelajaran di SMAN 3 Sidoarjo belum optimal. Sosialisasi dan Pelatihan terkait modul ajar sebagai perangkat pembelajaran di era kurikulum merdeka perlu dilaksanakan sebagai solusi belum optimalnya pembuatan modul ajar sebagai perangkat pembelajaran terkhusus menekankan aspek pembelajaran berdiferensiasi. One of the policies to change Curriculum 13 to the Independent Curriculum is that the RPP learning tools become Teaching Modules. Potential development and training need to be carried out because many educators have difficulty developing teaching module learning tools, especially differentiated learning. A preliminary study was carried out to analyze the partners' difficulties needs. The measuring tools or indicators used to measure partner needs use questionnaires. Based on questionnaire data, 91.43% of respondents were able to explain their knowledge regarding teaching modules. Teachers' understanding of teaching modules is supported by survey results. All teachers are able to differentiate learning tools from the 2013 curriculum and the independent curriculum. The high percentage of understanding of teaching modules is supported by 91.43% of respondents who have tried to create differentiated teaching modules. However, 77.14% of respondents experienced problems preparing differentiated teaching modules. Based on the analysis and discussion, the creation of teaching modules for learning tools at SMAN 3 Sidoarjo is not optimal. Socialization and training of teaching modules for learning devices in the era of the independent curriculum need to be implemented as a solution to the lack of optimal creation of teaching modules for learning devices specifically emphasizing differentiated learning aspects.

Abstract

Learning in Indonesia currently still focuses on theoretical knowledge, so that the implementation of Education for Sustainable Development (ESD) is not optimal. Chemistry is a suitable subject to teach sustainable principles in accordance with ESD principles, especially on the topic of reaction rate. However, there are problems for students in understanding the reaction rate, as evidenced by students' concept understanding of this material being only 26%, and only 33.3% of students managed to get a score above the KKM. These problems can be caused by the limited learning media that facilitate students in learning the reaction rate. Therefore, this research aims to develop educational kit-based learning media on reaction rate material with the Socioscientific Issues (SSI) approach integrated with augmented reality technology as an effort to support ESD. This research method uses Research and Development (RnD) level 1 with five stages, namely potential and problems, literature study and information gathering, product design, design validation, and tested design. The results showed that the learning media presented in the form of educational kits with the SSI approach equipped with mobile applications, game cards, flashcards, and practicum kits with the concept of green chemistry have been produced. This product is a suitable educational media in an effort to improve the quality of education through the implementation of ESD.

Abstract

Perubahan kurikulum terfokus pada penyempurnaan dan revisi dari kurikulum sebelumnya yaitu dengan adanya perubahan kurikulum 13 menjadi kurikulum merdeka. Pendidik merupakan penggerak merdeka belajar, pendidik berperan dalam desain strategi dan metode pembelajaran berbasis kurikulum merdeka.Pendidik kesulitan dalam implementasi kurikulum merdeka karena pendidik tidak memiliki pengalaman konsep merdeka belajar dan minimnya referensi bahan rujukan mendesain dan mengimplementasikan merdeka belajar. Kegiatan pengabdian ini menggunakan survey yang melibatkan sekelompok individu untuk menjawab sejumlah pertanyaan dalam instrumen yang berupa kuisioner. Data yang diperoleh dari kegiatan pengabdian ini adalah data kualitatif yang diperoleh dari perspektif pendidik dalam menjawab pertanyaan. Berdasarkan hasil kuisioner yang telah dilakukan didapatkan data bahwa pendidik di kelompok MGMP Kimia Sidoarjo telah memiliki pemahaman mengenai kurikulum merdeka dan administrasi yang diperlukan, pendidik juga sudah dapat membedakan kurikulum 2013 dengan kurikulum merdeka. Namun, untuk implementasi dari kurikulum merdeka, pendidik di kelmpok MGMP Kimia Sidoarjo masih mengalami kendala di bidang pemetaan konten dan materi kimia. Berdasarkan analisis dan pembahasan dapat disimpulkan bahwa implementasi kurikulum merdeka di kelomok MGMP Kimia Sidoarjo belum optimal, utamanya dalam pemetaan konten dan materi kimia. Oleh karena itu, pendampingan peningkatan kompetensi pendidik di kelompok MGMP Kimia Sidoarjo perlu dilaksanakan sebagai solusi belum optimalnya kompetensi pendidik dalam pemetaan konten dan materi kimia.

Abstract

Kegiatan pengabdian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan pemahaman dan keterampilan guru Kimia di MGMP Kabupaten Lumajang dalam menerapkan asesmen autentik yang berorientasi pada Higher Order Thinking Skills (HOTS). Asesmen autentik berperan penting dalam mengembangkan kemampuan berpikir kritis, kreatif, dan analitis siswa, yang sangat diperlukan dalam pembelajaran kimia. Namun, penerapan asesmen berbasis HOTS masih terkendala oleh keterbatasan pemahaman dan praktik di lapangan. Melalui pelatihan, pendampingan, dan deseminasi produk asesmen yang dikembangkan dalam program ini, para guru dilatih untuk merancang instrumen penilaian yang lebih efektif dan sesuai dengan konteks lokal. Mitra kegiatan ini terdiri dari SMA, SMK dan MA yang berjumlah 23 sekolahan yang terdiri dari 28 guru Kimia di Kabupaten Lumajang. Metode pengabdian yang digunakan meliputi sosialisasi konsep asesmen autentik, pelatihan penyusunan soal HOTS, serta pendampingan implementasi asesmen di kelas. Hasil kegiatan ini menunjukkan adanya peningkatan signifikan dalam pemahaman dan keterampilan guru dalam merancang dan menggunakan instrumen penilaian yang relevan dengan HOTS. Rata-rata pemahaman guru-guru terhadap merancang dan menggunakan instrumen penilaian yang relevan dengan HOTS adalah sebesar 75,9%. Selain itu, produk asesmen yang dihasilkan dapat diadaptasi dan diterapkan oleh guru untuk mendukung proses pembelajaran kimia yang lebih mendalam dan bermakna. Dengan adanya kolaborasi di antara anggota MGMP, diharapkan kegiatan ini dapat menjadi langkah awal untuk pengembangan berkelanjutan dalam peningkatan kualitas pendidikan kimia di Kabupaten Lumajang. Optimizing Understanding of HOTS-Oriented Authentic Assessment for Chemistry MGMP of Lumajang Regency This community service initiative aims to enhance the understanding and skills of Chemistry teachers in the MGMP of Lumajang Regency in implementing authentic assessments oriented toward Higher-Order Thinking Skills (HOTS). Authentic assessments play a critical role in fostering students' critical, creative, and analytical thinking—key competencies in chemistry learning. However, the application of HOTS-based assessments is often hindered by limited understanding and practical experience. Through a comprehensive program of training, mentoring, and dissemination of assessment products, teachers are equipped to design more effective and contextually appropriate assessment instruments. The program involved 28 Chemistry teachers from 23 high schools, vocational schools (SMK), and Islamic high schools (MA) across Lumajang Regency. Activities included the socialization of authentic assessment concepts, training on developing HOTS-oriented questions, and mentoring in implementing these assessments in classrooms. The results demonstrate a significant improvement in teachers’ understanding and ability to create and apply HOTS-relevant assessment instruments. The average understanding of teachers regarding designing and using assessment instruments relevant to HOTS is 75.9%. Furthermore, the assessment tools developed during the program can be adapted and utilized by teachers to promote deeper and more meaningful chemistry learning experiences. Through collaboration among MGMP members, this initiative is expected to serve as a foundation for sustainable efforts to enhance the quality of chemistry education in Lumajang Regency.

Abstract

This article comes from the results of research that aims to determine: 1) the influence of learning methods on Islamic Religious Education learning outcomes; 2) the influence of learning motivation on Islamic Religious Education learning outcomes; 3) the influence of interaction between learning methods and students' learning motivation on Islamic Religious Education learning outcomes; 4) the influence of students who use the Problem Based Learning (PBL) method with students who use the lecture method on Islamic Religious Education learning outcomes; 5) the influence of students who have high motivation is higher than students who have low motivation on Islamic Religious Education learning outcomes. The research method used is a quantitative method using a factorial design model, namely 2 x 2, then this study uses two groups, namely the experimental group and the control group or comparison group, the sample of this study was 36 students of SMP Plus Al-Qodiri for the experimental class or using the Problem Based Learning (PBL) method and 36 students for the control class or using the lecture method. The final data processing results obtained an average value of the experimental group of 83.28 with a standard deviation of 6,055 and a variance of 36,663, while the average learning outcome using the lecture method was 75.92 with a standard deviation of 5,500 and a variance of 30,250. The highest score of PAI learning outcomes using the Problem Based Learning (PBL) learning method is 94 and the lowest score is 71 while the highest score in the class using the lecture method is 86 and the lowest is 66. The average score of learning motivation using the Problem Based Learning (PBL) method is 102.44 with a standard deviation of 9,330 and a variance of 87,054 while the average score of learning motivation using the lecture method is 102.33 with a standard deviation of 7,830 and a variance of 61,314 the highest score in the class learning using the Problem Based Learning (PBL) method is 127 and the lowest is 87 while the highest score in the control class learning using the lecture method is 121 and the lowest is 91 This shows that learning motivation using the Problem Based Learning (PBL) learning method is better when compared to student learning motivation using the lecture method. Abstract

Students often consider chemistry as a difficult subject to understand because that most teachers still use conventional teaching methods and lack of application of innovative learning media. Along with the times, a student-centered learning approach is one of the potential innovations that can be applied in learning chemistry, such as project- and game-based learning. This community service aims to enhance teachers' understanding and skills in implementing project-based learning and games in chemistry learning. The methods of this service are lectures and training. The subjects were 89 chemistry teachers from 40 high schools who are members of the Chemistry MGMP in Sidoarjo. The activities were carried out in the form of: (1) Socialization and sharing sessions on PjBL; (2) Socialization and sharing sessions on GBL; (3) Integration of project- and game-based learning in chemistry learning; (4) Demonstration of project- and game-based learning in chemistry learning; and (5) Sharing session on project-based teaching modules and games in chemistry learning. After participating in the activity, teachers' understanding increased by 35.37%. This activity produces outputs in the form of best practices and teaching modules.

Abstract

Chemical substances containing complex and abstract concepts make it difficult for students to understand, while the existing teaching media have not been able to be a solution for them until now. The development of technology in the digital era is very rapidly affecting various fields including education, which plays an important role in producing quality human resources with the use of technology, one of which is mobile application. The application of mobile application intended for teachers and students in studying chemistry should be designed in accordance with the needs so that learning can take place, so that the ETNOCHEM application is made. The research method used is qualitative with the development using the System Development Life Cycle (SDLC) method that uses the Waterfall model. The development is carried out with the aim that previously abstract and difficult to understand chemicals can be solved using a combination of graphic objects, audio, visual interesting materials, through projects that will be applied by students. The delivery of the material in it uses the STEAM-2C approach to lift various disciplines and is able to connect local wisdom with science.Keywords— chemistry, Mobile, Education, SLDC, STEAM-2C
