Abstract

The impact of the Covid-19 pandemic on the education system has altered from face-to-face learning to online learning. The sudden pandemic made teachers underprepared either psychologically or pedagogically to teach online learning. Many teachers often faced psychological pressure while preparing for online teaching due to the lack of digital literacy. Teachers now have to overcome pressures for understanding digital literacy. Teachers have issues with: 1) the lack of digital literacy mastery and/or the utilization of digital learning platforms, and 2) the lack of teachers’ ability in creating meaningful learning through the use of digital technology and/or interactive multimedia. By providing the 33 teachers with support and training in digital literacy, those issues could be resolved. The assistance is focused on how to use digital learning platforms and produce android learning and interactive multimedia videos to support the learning process in the classroom. The findings showed that teachers are becoming more knowledgeable about digital literacy, particularly as it relates to the utilization of digital learning platforms and the creation of android learning videos and interactive multimedia learning videos to support the learning process in the classroom. Through the use of digital learning platforms in the classroom, teachers can provide meaningful learning experiences to students and students can actively engage in the learning process. In addition, digital literacy helps teachers increase students’ enthusiasm in the classroom, and students’ autonomous learning.

Abstract

This study was attempted to describe the effective use of Edmodo and Schoology in teaching speaking and the students’ perception of the application practicality in the learning process. It is an experimental study. The subject of the study was eleventh-grade students of MAN N 2 Semarang. There were two groups in this study; experimental group (E) at XI IPA 3 and the control group (C) at XI IPA 5. The research instruments were tests (pre and post-test), questionnaires, and audio documentation. The t-test or value obtained was (0.325) and t result was lower than t table (1.66724). Hence, it can be said that both the learning management system (LMS) using Edmodo and Schoology had equal effects to improve students’ speaking performance. It was proved by the mean value of pre-test and post-test, in which the experimental group was 67.71 and 69.71. Meanwhile, in the control group, there were 66.53 and 68.57. Moreover, the result of the questionnaire was 3.40 for students' perception as good criteria related to the practicality in the experimental group. Then, there were 3.42 on good criteria related to the practicality in the control group. It means that the teacher can use either Edmodo or Schoology LMS system in teaching speaking to achieve students’ speaking performance, particularly on pronunciation and grammar. In conclusion, Edmodo and Schoology are effective to teach speaking in eleventh graders.

Abstract

Class struggle emerges due to the gap between two conflicting classes: the bourgeoisie (capital owners) and the proletariat (workers). The oppression and unjust distribution of rights lead the working class to fight for equality. This condition has been immortalized in poetry by poets as a reflection of social realities. This research aims to examine the application of Marxist theory in literature by analyzing class struggle in Ralph Hosea Chaplin’s poems, "The Commonwealth of Toil," "Sabotage," and "Solidarity Forever" (1917). The study employs a qualitative descriptive method using Marxist theory to analyze the representation of power relations and the struggle of the exploited class. The findings reveal that power is in the hands of the bourgeoisie, who exploit and oppress the proletariat without granting their rights. Moreover, the proletariat responds with resistance, starting from ideological awareness to verbal and physical confrontation against the bourgeoisie.

Abstract

Finished goods inventory is an important component in the operational management of manufacturing companies because it is directly related to smooth production, fulfilling consumer demand, and accurate financial reports. Therefore, effective internal control is very necessary to ensure inventory management runs well, avoid misuse, and minimize the risk of recording errors. In implementing an internal control system, there needs to be a basis that can be used as a reference, one of which is COSO (Committee of Sponsoring Organizations). COSO has 5 (five) internal control components, namely control environment, control activities, risk assessment, information and communication and supervision. This research aims to determine the application of the internal control system to the finished goods inventory cycle at PT. Golden Agin Nusa and knowing the suitability of implementing an internal control system for finished goods inventory at PT. Golden Agin Nusa with COSO theory. The data analysis method in this research uses a qualitative descriptive analysis method, namely by reviewing and examining, then presenting and explaining the data obtained to obtain a clear and complete description regarding the internal control treatment carried out by PT. Golden Agin Nusa. The research results show that the internal control system for the finished goods inventory cycle at PT. Golden Agin Nusa as a whole is quite suitable for implementation in accordance with internal control theory based on COSO, although there are a few shortcomings in the organizational system, where there is no separation of the functions of receiving and storing finished goods inventory which is carried out by one section only, and the delivery of information related to inventory is not yet effective.
