Abstract

ABSTRAK Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk memperoleh deskripsi kesalahan yang dilakukan siswa XI IPA SMA Negeri 3 Poso dalam menyelesaikan soal ujian akhir semester matematika berdasarkan metode Newman. Kelas XI IPA SMA Negeri 3 Poso banyak melakukan kesalahan dalam menyelesaikan soal Ujian Akhir Semester. Subjek penelitian ini sebanyak 3 siswa dari 33 siswa kelas XI IPA 1. Peneliti melakukan penelitian deskriptif dengan melakukan pendekatan kualitatif. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa: 1) Jenis kesalahan pada materi barisan dan deret ialah kesalahan memahami masalah, kesalahan transformasi, kesalahan kemampuan proses, dan kesalahan penulisan jawaban akhir, 2) Jenis kesalahan pada materi limit ialah kesalahan kemampuan proses yang terjadi dan kesalahan penulisan jawaban akhir, dan 3) Jenis kesalahan pada materi turunan ialah kesalahan memahami masalah, kesalahan transformasi, kesalahan keterampilan proses, dan kesalahan penulisan jawaban akhir.   ABSTRACT This research aims to describe the errors made by 11th-grade science students at SMA Negeri 3 Poso in solving final semester mathematics exam questions based on Newman's method. The 11th-grade science students at SMA Negeri 3 Poso made numerous errors in solving the final semester exam questions. The research subjects comprised 3 out of 33 students from class XI IPA 1. The researcher conducted a descriptive study using a qualitative approach. The results of this study show that: 1) the types of errors in the sequences and series material include errors in understanding the problem, transformation errors, processing skill errors, and errors in writing the final answer, 2) the types of errors in the limits material include processing skill errors and errors in writing the final answer, and 3) the types of errors in the derivatives material include errors in understanding the problem, transformation errors, processing skill errors, and errors in writing the final answer.

Abstract

21st century skills are termed the 4C which stands for Critical Thinking, Collaboration , Communication, and Creativity. The purpose of this research is to analyze and describe students' mathematical communication skills in solving SPLDV story problems. This type of research uses descriptive research with a qualitative approach to describe students' mathematical communication skills in solving SPLDV problems based on extroverted and introverted personality types. The subjects in this study were 2 students of class VIII of SMP Negeri 7 Palu in the academic year 2023/2024 consisting of one student each with extroverted personality type and one student with introverted personality type. The conclusion of this study shows that students with extroverted personalities tend to be more active in communicating mathematical ideas verbally, while introverted students focus more on systematic written communication. Both personality types have different ways of solving SPLDV problems, but are able to achieve good solutions according to their respective abilities. Abstract

The purpose of this study was to obtain a description of the mistakes made by class XI students of SMK Negeri 2 Palu in solving word problems on matrix material based on Newman's stages. The type of research used is qualitative research. The research design consists of planning, implementation and completion stages. The research subjects were 3 students of class XI at SMK Negeri 2 Palu. The results of this study indicate that DE subjects experienced errors at the stages of understanding the problem, the stage of transformation, the stage of processing skills, and the stage of writing the final answer. The HR subject experienced errors at the stage of transformation, stage of process skills and stage of writing the final answer. The RW subject experienced errors at the stages of understanding the problem, the transformation stage, the process skills stage, and the final answer writing stage. Therefore, it was concluded that all subjects did not experience errors in the question reading stage. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk memperoleh deskripsi mengenai kesalahan siswa kelas XI SMK Negeri 2 Palu dalam menyelesaikan soal cerita pada materi matriks berdasarkan tahapan Newman. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan adalah penelitian kualitatif. Desain penelitian terdiri dari tahapan perencanaan, pelaksanaan dan penyelesaian. Subjek penelitian adalah 3 orang siswa kelas XI SMK Negeri 2 Palu dengan beberapa pertimbangan yaitu; siswa paling banyak melakukan kesalahan, memiliki kesalahan berbeda, kesalahan dapat mewakili kesalahan yang dilakukan oleh siswa lain, siswa tersebut mempunyai kemampuan komunikasi yang baik, kesedian siswa menjadi subjek, dan rekomendasi guru matematika SMK Negeri 2 Palu. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa subjek DE tidak mengalami kesalahan pada tahap membaca soal, akan tetapi subjek mengalami kesalahan pada tahap memahami masalah, tahap transformasi, tahap keterampilan proses, dan tahap penulisan jawaban akhir. Subjek HR tidak mengalami kesalahan pada tahap membaca soal dan tahap memahami masalah, akan tetapi subjek mengalami kesalahan pada tahap transformasi, tahap keterampilan proses, dan tahap penulisan jawaban akhir. Subjek RW tidak mengalami kesalahan pada tahap membaca soal, akan tetapi subjek mengalami kesalahan pada tahap memahami masalah, tahap transformasi, tahap keterampilan proses, dan tahap penulisan jawaban akhir.The purpose of this study was to obtain a description of the mistakes made by class XI students of SMK Negeri 2 Palu in solving word problems on matrix material based on Newman's stages. The results of this study indicate that DE subjects did not experience errors at the stage of reading the questions, but subjects experienced errors at the stages of understanding the problem, the stage of transformation, the stage of processing skills, and the stage of writing the final answer. The HR subject did not experience errors at the stage of reading the questions and the stage of understanding the problem, but the subject experienced errors at the stage of transformation, stage of process skills and stage of writing the final answer. The RW subject did not experience errors at the stage of reading the questions, but the subject experienced errors at the stages of understanding the problem, the transformation stage, the process skills stage, and the final answer writing stage.

Abstract

This study aims to describe students' errors in solving algebra problems in class VII A of SMP Negeri 3 Dampelas. This research employs a descriptive method with a qualitative approach. Three students from class VII A were selected as research subjects, focusing on conceptual and procedural errors. The identified errors include mistakes in concepts, principles, and facts. Conceptual errors involve misconceptions in the addition of like terms. Principle errors occur when students incorrectly conclude the final answer. Factual errors involve mistakes in writing variables. Procedural errors include general mistakes, arithmetic operation errors, and errors in simplifying algebraic fractions.

Abstract

Abstrak: Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk memperoleh deskripsi penerapan model pembelajar­an kooperatif tipe TGT untuk meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa kelas VIII SMP Negeri 4 Palu pada materi penjumlahan dan pengurangan bentuk aljabar. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian tindakan kelas yang mengacu pada desain Kemmis dan Mc. Taggart. Penelitian ini dilakukan dalam dua siklus. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penerapan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe TGT dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa, dengan tahapannya yaitu: 1) penyajian kelas, 2) belajar dalam kelompok, 3) permainan, 4) pertandingan, dan 5) penghargaan kelompok. Pada tahap penyajian kelas, guru menyajikan materi yang dipelajari yaitu penjumlahan dan pengurangan bentuk aljabar. Pada tahap belajar dalam kelompok, siswa secara berkelompok saling bekerjasama dalam menyelesaikan soal yang diberikan agar dapat menguasai materi. Pada tahap permainan, guru menjelaskan tentang tata cara dalam melaksanakan pertandingan. Pada tahap pertandingan, siswa berdasarkan kemampuan yang homogen bertanding melawan siswa dari kelompok lain. Pada tahap penghargaan kelompok, guru memberikan penghargaan kepada masing-masing kelompok berdasarkan rerata skor yang diperoleh saat pertandingan. Kata Kunci: hasil belajar, operasi penjumlahan, operasi pengurangan, bentuk aljabar, pembelajaran kooperatif TGT. Abstract: The objectives of this research is to obtain description about the application of cooperative learning of TGT to improve student’s learning outcomes in grade VIII SMP Negeri 4 Palu on addition and subtraction of algebra. This research was a classroom action research which refered to the Kemmis’ and Mc Taggart's research design. This research was conducted in two cycles. The results of this research indicating that application of cooperative learning of TGT can improve student’s learning outcomes, with the steps are: 1) class presentation, 2) study in group, 3) games, 4) competition, and 5) group appreciation. At the class presentation step, teacher presented the material that was addition and substraction of algebra. At the step of study in group, the students as a group worked together in finishing the tasks given in order to master the material. At the games step, teacher explained about the procedure in doing the competition. At the competition step, the students based on the ability homogeneous competed against the students of another groups. At the group appreciation step, teacher gave appreciation to each group based to average of scores obtained during the match. Abstract

Abstrak: Tujuan penelitian ini yaitu mendeskripsikan penerapan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe Numbered Head Together (NHT) untuk me­ningkatkan hasil belajar siswa kelas VIII SMP Negeri 15 Palu pada materi penjumlahan dan pengurangan pecahan bentuk aljabar. Desain penelitian ini mengacu pada model penelitian tindakan kelas (PTK) yang dikembangkan oleh Kemmis dan Mc Taggart, yakni (1) perencanaan, (2) pelaksanaan tindakan, (3) observasi, dan (4) refleksi. Subyek penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas VIII SMP Negeri 15 Palu yang ber­jumlah 35 orang siswa. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penerapan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe NHT dapat me­ningkatkan hasil belajar siswa melalui fase menyampaikan tujuan dan me­motivasi siswa, fase menyajikan informasi, fase penomoran, fase mengajukan pertanya­an, fase berpikir bersama, fase menjawab (evaluasi), dan fase mem­berikan penghargaan. Kata Kunci: model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe Numbered Heads Together, hasil belajar, penjumlahan dan pengurangan pecahan bentuk aljabar. Abstract: The aim of this research was to obtain the description of applying the cooperative learning model type numbered heads together (NHT) to improve students learning outcomes in class VIII SMP Negeri 15 Palu on material of addition and subtraction of fractions algebraic form. This research design refers to the model of classroom action research (CAR) developed by Kemmis and Mc. Taggart. namely (1) planning, (2) action, (3) observation, and (4) reflection. This research subject were students of class VIII SMP Negeri 15 Palu as 35 students. The research results showed that the applying the cooperative learning model type NHT to improve students learning outcomes through phase presents the objectives and motivate students, phase presenting information, phase numbering, phase of asking questions, phase think together, phase said (evaluation) and phase rewards. Abstract

Abstrak: Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk memperoleh deskripsi penerapan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe Think Pair Share (TPS) untuk meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa kelas VIII SMP Negeri 3 Banawa pada materi persamaan garis lurus. Jenis penelitan ini adalah penelitian tindakan kelas. Rancangan penelitian ini mengacu pada desain penelitian Kemmis dan Mc. Taggart yakni (1) perencanaan, (2) pelaksanaan tindakan, (3) observasi dan (4) refleksi. Penelitian ini dilakukan dalam dua siklus, siklus I dengan materi persamaan garis lurus yang melalui satu titik dengan gradien tertentu dan siklus II dengan materi persamaan garis lurus yang melalui dua titik sebarang. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penerapan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe TPS dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa kelas VIII SMP Negeri 3 Banawa pada materi persamaan garis lurus, mengikuti fase-fase, yaitu (1) pemberian orientasi, (2) think, (3) pair, (4) share, dan (5) penghargaan. Kata kunci: Think pair share, hasil belajar, garis lurus. Abstrack: Purpose of the research is to obtain a description of the implementation of cooperatifve learning model Think Pair Share (TPS) to improve learning outcomes of students of class VIII SMPN 3 Banawa on a straight-line equation material. Type of this research is a class act. This research design refers to the design of the research Kemmis and Mc. Taggart: (1) planning, (2) implementation of the action, (3) observation and (4) reflection. This research was conducted in two cycles using the straight-line equation materials through a single point with a cetain gradine and the second cycles using the straight-line equation material through two points. The results in these studies indicate that the implementation of cooperative learning model TPS to improve learning outcomes of students of class VIII SMPN 3 Banawa on a straight-line eqquation materials follow phases: (1) provide orientation, (2) think, (3) pair, (4) share, and (5) awards. Abstract

Abstrak:Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk memperoleh deskripsi penerapan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe Think Pair Share (TPS) untuk meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa pada materi pertidaksamaan linier satu variable (PtLSV) di kelas VII SMP Negeri 12 Palu. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian tindakan kelas (PTK).Rancangan penelitian ini mengacu pada desain penelitian Kemmis dan Mc. Taggart yakni (1) perencanaan, (2) pelaksanaan tindakan, (3) observasi dan (4) refleksi.Penelitian ini dilakukan dalam dua siklus.Data yang dikumpulkan pada penelitian ini adalah data aktivitas guru dalam mengelola pembelajaran, data aktivitas siswa dalam mengikuti pembelajaran dan data hasil tes akhir tindakan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penerapan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe TPS dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa kelas VII SMP Negeri 12 Palu pada materi pertidaksamaan linier satu variabel mengikuti fase-fase, yaitu (1) pemberian orientasi, (2) think, (3) pair, (4) share dan (5) penghargaan. Abstract

Abstrak: Tujuan utama penelitan ini adalah untuk mendeskripsikan penerapan pendekatan scientific sehingga dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa pada materi pemfaktoran bentuk aljabar kelas VIII SMP Negeri 12 Palu. Rancangan penelitian mengacu pada desain Kemmis dan Mc. Taggart, yang terdiri dari empat komponen, yaitu: (1) perencanaan, (2) pelaksanaan tindakan, (3) observasi dan (4) refleksi. Data yang dikumpulkan berupa data aktivitas guru dan siswa melalui lembar observasi, hasil wawancara, dan hasil catatan lapangan. Penelitian ini dilakukan dalam dua siklus dikelas VIII SMP Negeri 12 Palu yang berjumlah 27 siswa. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penerapan pendekatan scientific dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa pada materi pemfaktoran bentuk aljabar melalui kegiatan: (1) mengamati, pada langkah ini siswa mengamati prosedur kerja dari contoh soal yang diberikan kepada peneliti. (2) menanya, pada langkah ini, peneliti dan siswa melakukan tanya jawab secara bebas antara guru (peneliti) dengan siswa maupun antara siswa dengan siswa terkait hal yang diamati; (3) menalar, pada langkah ini, siswa akan mengolah data yang diperoleh untuk memperoleh kesimpulan dari metode tanya jawab yang telah dilakukan; (4) mencoba, pada langkah ini, siswa mengerjakan lembar kerja (LKS) secara berkelompok dan mengerjakan tes individu; (5) mengkomunikasikan, pada langkah ini siswa berdiskusi dan mempresentasikan hasil kerja kelompoknya. Kata Kunci: Pendekatan Scientific, Hasil Belajar, Pemfaktoran Bentuk Aljabar. Abstract: The main objective of this research is to describe the application of scientific approaches that can improve student learning outcomes in material factoring the algebra class VIII SMP Negeri 12 Palu. The research design refers to the design Kemmis and Mc. Taggart, which consists of four components, namely: (1) planning, (2) implementation of the action, (3) observation and (4) reflection. Data collected in the form of activity data sheet teachers and students through observation, interviews, and the results of field notes. This research was conducted in two cycles in class VIII SMP Negeri 12 Palu totaling 27 students. The results showed that the application of the scientific approach can improve student learning outcomes in material factoring algebraic form through the following activities: (1) observe, in this step the students observe the working procedures of the sample questions provided to the researcher. (2) ask, in this step, researchers and students conduct a question and answer freely between teachers (researchers) and students and between students and students related to the observed; (3) make sense, in this step, students will process the data obtained for the conclusion of a question and answer method has been carried out; (4) try, at this stage, students work on a worksheet (LKS) in groups and work on individual tests; (5) communicating, at this stage students discuss and present the group's work. Abstract

Abstrak: Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk memperoleh deskripsi penerapan pendekatan scientific yang dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa pada materi keliling dan luas daerah lingkaran di kelas VIII B MTsN Palu Selatan. Desain penelitian ini mengacu pada desain penelitian Arikunto, dkk yakni (1) perencanaan, (2) pelaksanaan tindakan, (3) observasi dan (4) refleksi. Penelitian ini dilakukan dalam dua siklus. Data yang dikumpulkan pada penelitian ini adalah data aktifitas guru dan siswa dalam proses pembelajaran dan data hasil tes ahir tindakan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penerapan pendekatan scientific dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa kelas VIII MTsN Palu Selatan pada materi keliling dan luas daerah lingkaran mengikuti langkah-langkah, yaitu (1) mengamati, siswa mengamati fakta-fakta yang mereka temukan. (2) menanya, peneliti dan siswa melakukan tanya jawab terkait hal yang diamati. (3) menalar, siswa mengolah data yang diperoleh dari kegiatan menanya untuk memperoleh kesimpulan. (4) mencoba, siswa mengerjakan soal secara berkelompok. (5) membentuk jejaring, siswa bersama kelompoknya mempresentasikan hasil kerja kelompoknya di depan kelas. Kata kunci: Pendekatan Scientific, hasil belajar, keliling dan luas daerah lingkaran. Abstract: This study aims to obtain a description of the application of scientific approaches on the material and the area around the circle that can improve student learning outcomes of class VIII MTsN South Palu. The research design refers to the design of research Arikunto, dkk namely (1) planning, (2) action, (3) observation, and (4) reflection. This research were conducted in two cycle. This research collects data about teacher’s activities while manage learning, data about student’s activities while attent learning and testing after action. The results showed that the application of a scientific approach can improve learning outcomes in the material and the area around the circle at MTsN South Palu with the following steps: (1) observing, students observe the facts they find. (2) questioning, the researchers and student did questioning and answering to the case observed. (3) associating, students process the data obtained from the activity ask for the conclusion. (4) experimenting, students work on the problems in groups. (5) networking, student and his group presented the group's work to the class.
