Abstract

Writing is the process of generating ideas and expressing them through statements and paragraphs to communicate indirectly with others. It involves articulating thoughts using written language. Writing skills are a critical component of English language proficiency. These skills enable individuals to convey their thoughts meaningfully and interact effectively through written messages. During the pandemic, online learning created opportunities to integrate digital media into teaching, including writing classes. One such tool is the Padlet Wall, a virtual bulletin board that allows lecturers and students to post notes, links, videos, images, and document files. This research aims to explore students’ perspectives on the use of Padlet Wall in writing classes during online learning. The participants of this study were fifth-semester students, and data collection was conducted using a questionnaire. The research employed a survey method to gather insights into whether students appreciated or disliked using Padlet Wall for writing classes. The findings reveal students’ attitudes toward the use of this digital tool in their learning process.

Abstract

This study explores university students' perceptions of YouTube as an English language learning medium. With digital platforms increasingly complementing traditional education, YouTube offers a flexible, accessible repository of content that enhances listening, speaking, vocabulary, and grammar skills. Employing a qualitative descriptive approach, semi-structured interviews were conducted with five students from the English Language Education Study Program at UIN Raden Intan Lampung State Islamic University. The collected data were analyzed using the Miles and Huberman model, revealing that students value YouTube for its interactive content and the opportunity to learn at their own pace through trusted channels such as BBC Learning English and TED Talks. Respondents reported that YouTube effectively supplements their learning especially in authentic conversational contexts and exam preparation while also noting challenges including inconsistent content quality, distracting advertisements, and difficulties in finding material suitable to their proficiency level. The findings suggest that integrating YouTube with traditional classroom instruction may enhance overall language proficiency, highlighting the need for further research on optimizing digital media use in language education

Abstract

Pendidikan akhlak memiliki signifikasi yang mendalam dalam memupuk esensi spiritualitas agama Islam. Pendidikan akhlak memegang peran kunci dalam membentuk karakter seseorang, dan di lingkungan masyarakat pendidikan akhlak menjadi elemen integral dalam memperkuat fondasi agama islam. Tujuan pengabdian yakni mengembangkan pemahaman keagamaan untuk mengokohkan akhlak mulia sebagai modal pembangunan desa sejahtera bermartabat. Metode pengabdian yang dilakukan yakni tahap persiapan, pelaksanaan dan evaluasi. Berdasarkan hasil pelaksanaan kegiatan terlihat bahwa pendidikan akhlak merupakan proses pendidikan yang bertujuan untuk menjaga membentuk, dan melatih individu dalam akhlak dan kecerdasan berpikir yang baik, baik dalam konteks formal maupun informal dengan berlandasan pada ajaran-ajaran Islam. Dalam sistem pendidikan Islam pentingnya pendidikan akhlak diterapkan sebagai bagian penting dari kepribadian seorang muslim. Pendidikan akhlak dalam sistem pendidikan Islam memiliki peran yang sangat penting dalam membentuk karakter, moral, dan etika yang sesuai dengan ajaran agama Islam.

Abstract

Many scholars believe that students who regularly listen to English podcasts receive positive feedback in learning English. This study aims to prove this belief and explore the relationship between students' podcast listening habits and their vocabulary skills. The researcher used a quantitative method with a correlational research approach. The sample was chosen using purposive sampling. A questionnaire was used to collect data on students' podcast listening habits, and a test was administered to assess their vocabulary mastery. The Pearson Product Moment formula was used for data analysis. The results showed that r_count (0.458) is greater than r_table (0.263), indicating a positive and moderate correlation between podcast listening and vocabulary mastery. The significant F change was 0.000, which is less than 0.05, further supporting the positive correlation. Therefore, it can be concluded that there is a moderate correlation between students' habit of listening to English podcasts and their vocabulary mastery, meaning the more they listen, the better their vocabulary becomes.

Abstract

This study aims to directly investigate the degree of satisfaction that top management has with ERP systems by analyzing the potential benefits that small and medium-sized businesses can receive from the implementation of ERP systems in four aspects, accounting, organizational, external, and internal, that the implementation of ERP systems may bring to small and medium-sized companies. To measure accountants' perceptions of ERP implementation in their companies, a survey of a sample of 100 accountants was conducted. To test the hypotheses, discriminant analysis for dimension reduction was used by selecting factorial analysis. This research was conducted using a structural equation modeling (SEM) approach with partial least squares (PLS) as the testing tool. Empirical evidence from a web-based survey with 100 SMEs in Banten confirms that ERP systems bring various benefits including organizational, external, and internal for SMEs, and several accounting benefits derived from ERP systems especially for accounting processes. These findings will be valuable for any business looking to implement ERP with more complete modules in SMEs and significantly contribute to the existing knowledge of ERP benefits for SMEs in a resource-based scholarly view.

Abstract

Pelestarian lingkungan hidup di Pulau Lombok, Provinsi Nusa Tenggara Barat sangat pentingdilaksanakan karena Pulau Lombok ditetapkan sebagai destinasi wisata halal dan mendapat julukansebagai pulau seribu masjid. Upaya pelestarian lingkungan hidup, salah satunya dengan membangunsikap peduli lingkungan.Sikap peduli lingkungan potensial diterapkan melalui pendekatan Islam (Ecoteologi) di pondok pesantren.Salah satu pondok pesantren yang terdapat di Pulau Lombok yangmenerapkan Eco-pesantren adalah pondok pesantren Nurul Haramain NW Narmada Kabupaten LombokBarat.Pendekatan sosial keagamaan diharapkan dapat memupuk kesadaran santri dan masyarakat sekitarterhadap lingkungan hidup.Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui implementasi Eco-pesantren dipondok pesantren Nurul Haramain NW Narmada terhadap sikap peduli lingkungan dan memberi solusikebijakan terhadap peningkatan sikap peduli lingkungan.Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian studi kasusdengan menggunakan metode deskriptif kualitatif.Teknik pengambilan data dilakukan dengan tekniktriangulasi data (observasi, wawancara dan kuesioner).Hasil observasi dan wawancara dianalisis secaradeskriptif, sedangkan angket kuesioner dianalisis secara kuantitatif. Berdasarkan kriteria pengukuransikap diperoleh nilai >60%-96,2% dan solusi kebijakan untuk membangun sikap peduli lingkungandengan penerapan model constructing of environmental care attitude with eco-pesantren. Program Eco- pesantren berpotensi dalam upaya membangun sikap peduli terhadap lingkungan sehingga kelestarianlingkungan hidup dapat terjaga secara terus menerus.

Abstract

Hygiene dan sanitasi yang baik adalah pilar utama dalam pencegahan penyakit menular dan peningkatan kesehatan masyarakat. Di Indonesia, penyakit seperti diare, ISPA, dan penyakit kulit masih menjadi masalah signifikan yang terkait dengan kurangnya pengetahuan dan akses terhadap praktik kebersihan dan sanitasi. Program "Edukasi Online: Praktik Hygiene dan Sanitasi untuk Mencegah Penyakit Menular di Komunitas" bertujuan meningkatkan kesadaran dan keterampilan masyarakat melalui webinar online yang interaktif, dengan konten yang mudah diakses dan dipahami. Webinar dilaksanakan pada 1 November 2024 melalui Zoom dan berhasil menarik partisipasi dari 110 peserta aktif. Hasil program menunjukkan peningkatan pemahaman masyarakat sebesar 40% terkait praktik kebersihan sehari-hari. Survei umpan balik mengindikasikan kepuasan peserta sebesar 85% dan peningkatan pengetahuan tentang praktik cuci tangan dan sanitasi lingkungan. Tantangan teknis di daerah dengan keterbatasan akses internet diidentifikasi, dengan usulan untuk menyediakan materi yang dapat diakses secara offline. Pembentukan jejaring komunitas melalui grup WhatsApp menjadi langkah lanjutan yang efektif dalam mendukung keberlanjutan edukasi dan pembentukan komunitas yang lebih sadar hygiene. Kesimpulannya, program edukasi online ini terbukti efektif dalam meningkatkan kesadaran masyarakat mengenai pentingnya hygiene dan sanitasi, meskipun ada ruang untuk perbaikan terutama dalam hal aksesibilitas dan materi visual.

Abstract

Strengthening science and environmental education through local wisdom is a strategic approach to creating contextual, relevant, and sustainable learning, particularly within indigenous communities. This study aims to explore how the Bunggu Indigenous Community in Pasangkayu, Indonesia, integrates local wisdom values into the management of science and environmental education. Utilizing a qualitative case study approach, data were collected through in-depth interviews, participatory observations, and document analysis involving traditional leaders, educators, and educational stakeholders. The findings reveal that scientific concepts such as ecology, environmental conservation, natural resource management, and traditional technology are taught through culturally inherited practices. The community's education management combines local wisdom with formal curricula, resulting in adaptive and contextual strategies for science and environmental learning. These findings emphasize that integrating local wisdom into science and environmental education not only enriches the learning process but also strengthens ecological awareness, cultural identity, and community participation in environmental preservation. This study contributes to the development of an education management model that is more responsive to local cultural contexts and highlights the need for educational policies that support local wisdom-based learning.

Abstract

Anyer is located on the west coast, Serang Regency, Banten. Anyer is famous for beach tourism. But apart from the famous Anyer Beach, the pottery village provides an extraordinary tourist experience. The grain making center in Anyer is precisely located in Bandulu Village. So the pottery from this area is called bandulu pottery. Bandulu pottery is very famous because it is marketed quite widely outside the Anyer tourist area. This Bandulu pottery prioritizes training its visitors rather than selling its products. Usually their target market is students from elementary to high school, university students and other general visitors.

Abstract

This research is motivated by the many products and services offered by banking institutions providing broad opportunities for consumers to choose banking institutions that suit their needs. The aim of this research is to analyze the factors that influence people's decisions in choosing sharia banking services in Indonesia. This research method uses qualitative research methods. The data sources used in this research are primary data and secondary data. The research results show that the factors that influence customers' decisions to use sharia banking services are psychological and marketing factors consisting of motivation, perception, learning processes, beliefs, attitudes and products, promotions, advertising, and services. And the most influential is the principal part of banking practices and promotions carried out directly.
