Abstract

Double Controlled Pleats is a type of pleat on clothing that is loose in the middle so that it produces a three-dimensional effect. The application of double controlled pleats on clothing is still rarely found. This study aims to analyze the differences in material types on the results of the double controlled pleat fabric technique on mini skirts in terms of the stability of the pleat shape, neatness of the pleats, proportions, and aesthetic value using bridal and shantung satin materials. This study is an experimental study with a quantitative method. The type of primary data with an assessment carried out by 18 panelists, the assessment results were processed using quantitative descriptive analysis and inferential analysis with the help of SPSS 25. The results showed that there were significant differences in the finished results of double controlled pleat fabric on bridal and shantung materials in terms of the stability of the pleat shape and neatness of the pleats while in terms of proportion and aesthetic value there were no significant differences. The Independent T-Test for differences in material types on the finished results of double controlled pleats obtained t-count <significance = 0.000 <0.05. Thus it can be concluded that there are differences in the types of materials on the finished results of double controlled pleats.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan mengatasi kesulitan siswa dalam membuat kampuh pada mata pelajaran Dasar-Dasar Busana, yang menyebabkan lebih dari 50% siswa belum mencapai Kriteria Ketercapaian Tujuan Pembelajaran (KKTP). Maka diperlukan strategi baru dalam penggunaan media atau metode pembelajaran yang lebih efektif dibandingkan metode konvensional. Makadigunakan video tutorial sebagai media pembelajaran alternatif. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kuantitatif dengan desain Quasi Eksperimen, yaitu Pretest-Posttest Control Group Design. Subjek penelitian adalah siswa kelas X Busana 1 dan X Busana 2 SMKN 3 Pekanbaru tahun pelajaran 2024/2025, berjumlah 72 orang. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan peningkatan hasil belajar pada kelas eksperimen dengan nilai rata-rata 84,21 dibandingkan kelas kontrol 79,98. Perbedaan hasil belajar didapatkan dari hasil analisis data menunjukkan nilai thitung 2,965 > ttabel 1,994 atau sig. (2-tailed) 0,004 < 0.05. Sehingga disimpulkan bahwa H0 ditolak dan H1 diterima yang artinya ada pengaruh hasil belajar siswa yang diajar menggunakan video tutorial dengan siswa yang diajar secara konvensional

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan hasil belajar teknologi menjahit busana siswa kelas X Tata Busana SMK Negeri 1 Sawahlunto menggunakan metode tutor sebaya untuk menguji pengaruh metode pembelajaran tutor sebaya terhadap hasil belajar. Penelitian ini merupakan quasi exsperimen dengan desain one group pretest-posttest design. Sampel terdiri dari 30 siswa. Metode teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan lembar tes pretest dan posttest, lembar observasi penilaian sikap. Teknik analisis data menggunakan uji-t. hasil pelitian menunjukkan rata-rata hasil belajar teknologi menjahit  sebelum menggunakan metode tutor sebaya  86%, sedangkan setelah menggunakan metode pembelajaran tutor sebaya  adalah 98%. Uji-t menunjukkan nilai thitung  43,177 > 2,045 ttabel. Dengan demikian, terdapat pengaruh metode pembelajaran tutor sebaya terhadapa hasil belajar siswa.

Abstract

The phenomenon of the textile industry in Indonesia is that there are a lot of synthetic dyes that are used as dyes in textiles, but these synthetic dyes have carcinogenic properties and can pollute the environment. To overcome this bad impact by using natural dyes. The aim of the research was to describe the color name (hue), light darkness (value), color evenness, and washing resistance using young coconut mordant water. This research uses an experimental method with primary data sources. The data collection technique uses an instrument in the form of an assessment sheet. The data analysis technique is using the Friedman K-Related sample test with the help of SPSS. The results of the research show 1) The names of the colors that appear are Sepia Brown and Cocoa Brown, 2) The dark light obtained is quite light and light, 3) The evenness of the color obtained is quite even and even, 4) The durability of washing without mordant always changes from each washing stage, and the young coconut water mordant changed at 3 and 5 washings.

Abstract

Renda bangku di Balai Panjang sudah mulai berkembang cukup baik, terlihat dari motif-motif, dan ciri khas renda bangku. Namun masih banyak yang belum mengenal renda bangku yang ada dibalai panjang, karena renda bangku yang banyak di kenal itu ada di Koto Gadang. Permasalahan renda bangku di Balai Panjang ini adalah terletak pada rendahnya minat generasi muda dalam membuat renda bangku, keterbatasan pengrajin. Tujuan penelitian ini : 1) Mendeskripsikan alat dan bahan yang digunakan dalam produksi rendo bangku. 2) Mendeskripsikan desain motif yang digunakan pada produksi rendo bangku. 3) Mendeskripsikan jenis produk rendo bangku yang di produksi pada Usaha Tenun Balai Panjang di Kota Payakumbuh. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif. Data yang digunakan adalah data primer dan sekunder. Informan penelitian terdiri dari ketua pengelola, pengrajin dan instruktur di Usaha Tenun Balai Panjang. Teknik pengumpulan data terdiri dari observasi, wawancara dan dokumentasi. Teknik analisis data reduksi data, sajian data dan penarikan kesimpulan. Teknik pemeriksaan keabsahan data, menggunakan perpanjangan pengamatan, meningkatkan ketekunan, triangulasi dan auditing. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa 1) Alat yang digunakan untuk membuat renda bangku adalah bangku persegi dan bulat, kios, jarum pentul, gunting, pendedel, alat tulis dan meteran. Bahan yang digunakan untuk membuat renda bangku adalah benang, kain katun, kertas minyak, kertas karton. 2) Motif renda bangku memakai motif hias dari tumbuhan seperti bunga mawar, dan motif gonjong lima. Warna yang dipakai dalam renda bangku memakai warna pastel, warna lembut, serta warna muda seperti hijau muda, coklat muda. Ukuran renda bangku berkisaran panjang 60 cm, lebar 10-15 cm. 3) Jenis produk renda bangku di balai panjang digunakan untuk renda ujung selendang, sebagai lenan rumah tangga seperti taplak meja.

Abstract

The Helen Joseph Armstrong raglan sleeve pattern is widely used in garment making, but it is not yet fully suitable for the body proportions of ideal adult Indonesian women. This misfit can result in discomfort and aesthetic issues in clothing, which necessitates research to analyze the weaknesses and make pattern adjustments. This study aims to identify weaknesses, make improvements, and evaluate the fit of the raglan sleeve pattern for women with a height of 165 cm and weight of 53 kg, in accordance with the Body Mass Index (BMI) classification for adult Asians. The research method uses an applied approach, with a Likert scale-based assessment format and descriptive statistical analysis. The evaluation focuses on indicators such as sleeve length, peak arm height, midline of the arm, shoulder slope, raglan line, bicep, elbow line, and sleeve cuff circumference by four panelists. The results show that in the first fitting, the average pattern fit was only 63%, categorized as fairly suitable. Several weaknesses were identified, such as a backward shoulder line, raised raglan line, and overly large biceps. Adjustments were made by modifying the shoulder line, lowering the raglan line, reducing bicep size, and adjusting the sleeve cuff circumference. In the second fitting, the pattern fit increased to 86%, categorized as very high. These results indicate that pattern adjustments are essential to achieving optimal fit for ideal adult Indonesian women, thereby improving both comfort and aesthetic appearance in clothing.

Abstract

This study was motivated by the limited availability of learning resources and the difficulties students face in understanding the steps involved in constructing basic patterns using the So-en system. These difficulties are particularly evident in key stages such as body measurement, fabric planning, cutting, sewing, fitting, and finishing. The instructional materials currently used in the learning process are primarily in the form of jobsheets, which do not adequately support students’ comprehensive understanding. The purpose of this study is to develop an e-module on basic pattern making using the So-en system for the Konstruksi Pola Busana (Garment Pattern Construction) course, targeted at students in the Fashion Design Diploma Program at Universitas Negeri Padang. The research employed a Research and Development (RD) approach, utilizing the 4D development model: Define, Design, Develop, and Disseminate. However, the Disseminate phase was not conducted due to time and budget constraints. The research instruments consisted of validity and practicality questionnaires. Content and media validation were carried out by two media experts and two subject matter experts. Practicality testing was conducted by one course instructor and through student trials in both small and large groups. The small group trial involved 10 students, while the large group trial included 23 students from the Fashion Design Diploma Program. The results showed that the media experts rated the e-module 91% valid, while the subject matter experts gave a 93% validity rating, both falling into the “very valid” category. The practicality assessment yielded a 94% rating from the lecturer, 92% from the small group, and 91% from the large group, all categorized as “very practical.” Based on these findings, the developed e-module is proven to be both valid and practical, making it suitable for use in the learning process of the Konstruksi Pola Busana course. Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh keterbatasan sumber belajar dan kesulitan mahasiswa dalam memahami langkah kerja pembuatan pola dasar dengan sistem so-en, terutama pada tahap pengambilan ukuran, perancangan bahan, pemotongan, menjahit, fitting hingga finishing. Media pembelajaran yang digunakan dalam pembelajaran masih terbatas berupa jobsheet, sehingga belum cukup mendukung pemahaman mahasiswa secara optimal. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengambangkan e-modul pembuatan pola dasar sistem so-en pada mata kuliah Kontruksi Pola Busana bagi mahasiswa Tata Busana Universitas Negeri Padang. Metode yang digunakan adalah penelitian pengembangan (Research and Development) dengan model 4D, yaitu define (pendefinisian), design (perancangan), develop (pengembangan, dan disseminate (penyebaran). Namun pada penelitian ini tahap penyebaran belum bisa dilakukan mengingat keterbatasan peneliti pada segi waktu dan biaya. Intrumen penelitian ini berupa angket uji validitas dan kepraktisan. Validasi dilakukan kepada dua orang ahli media dan dua orang ahli materi. Uji kepraktisan dilakukan kepada satu dosen pengampu mata kuliah, uji coba mahasiswa melalui uji coba kelompok kecil dan uji coba kelompek besar. Uji coba kelompok kecil diujicobakan kepada 10 orang mahasiswa D3 Tata Busana dan uji coba kelompok besar diujicobakan kepada 23 orang mahasiswa D3 Tata Busana. Berdasarkan uji validitas ahli media mendapatkan presentase 91% dengan kategori sangat valid, lalu hasil uji validitas ahli materi mendapat presentase 93% dikategorikan sangat valid. Berdasarkan uji kepraktisan dosen didapatkan nilai dengan presentase 94% dengan kategori sangat praktis, lalu uji coba kelompok kecil diperoleh nilai dengan presentase 92% dengan kategori sangat praktis, dan uji coba kelompok besar diperoleh nilai dengan presentase 91% yang dikategorikan sangat praktis. Berdasarkan hasil uji validitas dan kepraktisan dapat disimpulkan bahwa media e-modul materi pembuatan pola dasar sistem so-en mata kuliah Kontruksi Pola Busana terbukti valid dan praktis sehingga dapat digunakan pada proses pembelajaran.

Abstract

Student work readiness in facing the world of digital entrepreneurship is still an obstacle that requires a more effective learning approach. This study aims to examine the effectiveness of project-based learning model on students' work readiness in digital era entrepreneurship. By using pre-test and post-test design, 40 students were prepared to be tested at the beginning and at the end who were taught using a project-based learning model. Students participated in the learning process for one semester with real-world projects relevant to the digital fashion industry. The t-test results indicate a significant difference between pretest and posttest scores (t-calculated = 38.561 > t-table = 1.990; sig. < 0.05), indicating a significant improvement in digital work readiness. This improvement includes technical skills, creativity, digital literacy, collaboration, and business management skills based on technology. Additionally, project-based learning was proven to enhance students' motivation and engagement in the learning process. These findings reinforce the effectiveness of PjBL as an approach responsive to the demands of Industry 4.0. This study concludes that the project-based learning model is effective in preparing competent graduates in digital entrepreneurship and can be adopted as an adaptive and applicable vocational learning strategy in the era of digital transformation.

Abstract

This research aims to develop Android-based learning media in the CAD Pattern Making course in response to students' difficulties in understanding the functions of certain tools, such as pleats and cut a part, used in drawing fashion patterns digitally. Previous learning media in the form of video tutorials and job sheets in UNP e-learning are considered less interactive and difficult to access through Android devices, even though the majority of students use Android smartphones in the learning process. This research uses the Research and Development (R&D) method with the 4D development model (Define, Design, Develop, Disseminate), but is limited to the development stage. Media validity was tested by three media experts and three material experts using a validation sheet instrument and analyzed by Aiken's V formula. The validation results showed a score of 0.95 from media experts and 0.99 from material experts, including a very valid category. The developed application presents material in the form of text, videos, interactive quizzes, job sheets, and discussion features. The results of the study indicate that the media is suitable in terms of content and design for use in the context of learning CAD pattern making in the D3 Fashion Design study program at Padang State University.

Abstract

Pembelajaran teknik hias SMOCK pada mata kuliah Cipta Busana di Program Studi Tata Busana Universitas Negeri Padang masih terbatas pada jobsheet dan presentasi sehingga kurang efektif untuk keterampilan yang memerlukan ketelitian tinggi. Waktu pembelajaran yang singkat dan keterbatasan media membuat mahasiswa kesulitan mengulang praktik secara mandiri, sehingga diperlukan media pembelajaran inovatif yang dapat diakses kapan saja dan di mana saja. Penelitian ini bertujuan mengembangkan video pembelajaran teknik hias smock yang valid dan praktis untuk mendukung pembelajaran mandiri mahasiswa. Penelitian menggunakan metode Research and Development (R&D) model 4D (Define, Design, Develop), tanpa tahap disseminate. Subjek terdiri dari 1 ahli media, 2 ahli materi, 1 dosen pengampu, serta mahasiswa pada uji kelompok kecil (n=10) dan besar (n=30). Instrumen berupa angket skala Likert digunakan untuk mengukur validitas dan praktikalitas. Hasil uji validitas menunjukkan rata-rata 90,2% (sangat valid), sedangkan praktikalitas memperoleh rata-rata 92,4% (sangat praktis). Video dinilai memudahkan mahasiswa memahami teknik smock, meningkatkan kemandirian belajar, serta menjadi referensi tambahan bagi dosen. Penelitian hanya melibatkan satu program studi dan belum melaksanakan tahap disseminate, sehingga generalisasi temuan memerlukan uji lanjutan. Video pembelajaran memungkinkan akses fleksibel, mengurangi ketergantungan pada dosen, dan meningkatkan efektivitas pembelajaran praktik. Penelitian ini mengisi celah kajian media pembelajaran teknik SMOCK di pendidikan tinggi dengan menghasilkan video yang terbukti valid dan praktis, serta memperkuat literatur mengenai pengembangan media berbasis video untuk keterampilan busana.
