Abstract

This study aims to describe the ability to use sentences based on sentence structure on the skills of writing interview texts for fourth grade students of SD Negeri Tegalsari. This research is a descriptive qualitative research with reports on the results of student interviews. The sampling technique in this research is the research subject. Data collection techniques used interviews, documentation studies, and observation. Validity test data using source triangulation techniques and triangulation techniques. The data analysis technique uses imperative analysis which includes four stages, namely: (1) data collection, (2) data reduction, (3) data presentation, (4) drawing conclusions. The percentage of errors in the use of subject indicators (19.23%), predicate indicators (13.46%), object indicators (8.65%), information indicators (45.2%), and complementary indicators (13.46%). The causes of errors in the use of sentences based on sentence structure in the reports of student interviews include: (1) lack of understanding of students on the selection and use of appropriate sentences, (2) lack of application of strategies in teaching sentence structure by teachers. The teacher's effort to overcome this is by giving exercises to students so that students are accustomed to communicating using standard language, both spoken and written.

Abstract

This research aims to (1) Describe the suitability of competency test questions with learning outcomes in mathematics textbooks for class IV independent curriculum, and (2) Describe the cognitive level of competency test questions for mathematics textbooks for grade IV independent curriculum according to the revised Bloom taxonomy. This research is a qualitative descriptive study. The data source in this research is the 2022 revised Independent Curriculum Class IV mathematics book. Data collection was carried out using document study techniques. The data validity testing technique used is investigator triangulation and increasing persistence. Data analysis uses analytical techniques according to Miles and Huberman. The results of this research are as follows: (1) There are still many competency test questions that are not in accordance with the learning objectives, namely around 68.57%, and 31.43% of the questions that are appropriate. (2) The composition of the most competency test questions is 31.43% C1 level, 28.57% C2 level, 8.57% C3 level, 11.43% C4 level, 5.71% C5 level, 14 C6 level .29%. It is hoped that the implications of this research can be used as material for consideration and evaluation in choosing books, especially in mathematics learning.

Abstract

Keberlanjutan Desa Sidowarno sebagai Desa Wisata Wayang terhambat oleh rendahnya minat anak-anak usia sekolah dasar terhadap budaya lokal akibat keterbatasan kemampuan Kelompok Sadar Wisata (Pokdarwis) Bengawan Solo Bersinar dalam penguasaan metode edukasi literasi budaya. Kegiatan pengabdian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan kapasitas Pokdarwis dengan menggunakan pendekatan inovatif yaitu Fun STEAM Learning dengan melibatkan kolaborasi Pentahelix sebagai upaya regenerasi Desa Sidowarno. Metode yang digunakan dalam pengabdian ini adalah Participatory Action Research (PAR) yang melibatkan 20 anggota Pokdarwis secara aktif. Metode ini dilaksanakan dengan empat langkah yaitu sosialisasi, pelatihan, penerapan teknologi, serta pendampingan dan evaluasi Hasil kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat ini menunjukkan peningkatan keterampilan dan manajemen Pokdarwis Bengawan Solo Bersinar. Peningkatan keterampilan terlihat dari seluruh anggota Pokdarwis (100%) yang mampu merancang dan mengimplementasikan Fun STEAM Learning, sehingga partisipasi anak naik dari rata-rata 9–10 menjadi 15–20 anak per pertemuan. Kemampuan manajemen meningkat terlihat dengan adanya perencanaan terstruktur, dokumentasi sistematis, buku program resmi, serta mekanisme evaluasi partisipatif yang memperkuat jejaring kolaborasi pentahelix. Dengan demikian program ini mampu mendukung regenerasi budaya lokal secara berkelanjutan.

Abstract

Mathematical reasoning skills are important for students because they play a role in helping them solve problems and think logically. The purpose of this study is to systematically review the literature on the importance of mathematical reasoning skills in elementary schools. This study, using the Systematic Literature Review (SLR) method, analyzes articles published between 2023 and 2024 from the Google Scholar database. The findings show that students’ mathematical reasoning skills are influenced not only by cognitive factors but are also closely related to non-cognitive aspects such as students’ attitudes toward mathematics (mathematical disposition), self-efficacy, and learning discipline. Therefore, it is important for teachers to apply student-centered learning approaches that go beyond verbal instruction and provide opportunities for idea exploration, collaborative problem-solving, and reflection on students' thinking processes.Kemampuan penalaran matematis penting untuk dimiliki oleh siswa karena berperan dalam membantu menyelesaikan masalah dan berpikir logis. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengkaji literatur secara sistematis mengenai pentingnya kemampuan penalaran matematika di sekolah dasar. Penelitian dengan metode Systematic Literature Review (SLR) ini menganalisis artikel-artikel yang diterbitkan pada tahun 2023-2024 menggunakan database Google Scholar. Hasil pada penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kemampuan penalaran matematis siswa tidak hanya dipengaruhi oleh faktor kognitif saja, tetapi juga berkaitan erat dengan aspek non-kognitif seperti sikap siswa terhadap matematika (disposisi matematis), efikasi diri, serta kedisiplinan dalam belajar. Dengan demikian, penting untuk guru menerapkan pendekatan pembelajaran yang berpusat pada siswa, yang tidak hanya menyampaikan materi secara verbal, tetapi juga memberi ruang untuk eksplorasi ide, pemecahan masalah secara kolaboratif, serta refleksi terhadap proses berpikir yang dilakukan siswa.

Abstract

Numeracy is an important skill for learners to master in understanding and solving daily life problems. This study aims to comprehensively review the literature on numeracy skills of primary school students. This research method is a systematic literature review (SLR). The scientific articles analyzed were articles published from 2020 - 2025 using the keywords numeracy skills, student numeracy factors, mathematical reasoning, and elementary school in the Google Scholar database. The results showed that the numeracy skills of primary school students are basic skills that are broader than ordinary mathematical calculations, including the application of numbers and mathematical symbols to solve various issues faced in everyday life, as well as the ability to analyze data in various formats. Various factors affect numeracy skills, namely cognitive and non-cognitive aspects (self-confidence, mathematical disposition, discipline), variations in student ability levels, lack of numeracy literacy-related training, as well as learning approaches and curricula that need to be adapted to the context of students' real lives.  Thus, it is necessary to improve efforts in developing primary school students' numeracy skills through innovative learning strategies by considering other factors that influence it.Kemampuan numerasi merupakan kemampuan yang penting untuk dikuasai peserta didik dalam memahami dan memecahkan masalah kehidupan sehari-hari. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji literatur tentang kemampuan numerasi siswa sekolah dasar dengan secara komprehensif. Metode penelitian ini adalah systematic literature review (SLR). Artikel ilmiah yang dianalisis merupakan artikel yang diterbitkan dari tahun 2020 – 2025 dengan menggunakan kata kunci kemampuan numerasi, faktor numerasi siswa, penalaran matematis, dan sekolah dasar pada database Google Scholar. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kemampuam numerasi siswa sekolah dasar merupakan keterampilan dasar yang lebih luas dari perhitungan matematika biasa, meliputi penerapan angka serta simbol matematika untuk memecahkan berbagai isu yang dihadapi dalam keseharian, serta kemampuan dalam menganalisis data dalam beragam format. Berbagai faktor yang berpengaruh terhadap kemampuan numerasi yaitu aspek kognitif dan non-kognitif (self eficacy, disposisi matematis, kedisiplinan), variasi dalam tingkat kemampuan siswa, minimnya latihan terkait literasi numerasi, serta pendekatan pembelajaran dan kurikulum yang perlu disesuaikan dengan konteks kehidupan nyata siswa.  Dengan demikian diperlukan upaya peningkatan dalam mengembangkan kemampuan numerasi siswa sekolah dasar melalui strategi pembelajaran yang inovatif dengan mempertimbangkan faktor-faktor lain yang memengaruhinya.

Abstract

This research discusses the implementation of the School Literacy Movement (GLS) at SD Ta'mirul Islam Surakarta. This research uses a qualitative approach with a case study type to analyze the School Literacy Movement (GLS) in improving the writing skills of fifth grade students at SD Ta'mirul Islam Surakarta in 2023. Data collection techniques use observation, interviews and documentation. The GLS program includes team building, short, medium and long term program development, as well as a 15 minute reading activity before class. The school also provides an online library to make it easier for students and teachers to access it outside school hours. The writing skills of class V students can be seen through writing poetry and short stories, with themes involving characters, messages or book synopses. Learners are rewarded for their efforts, and facilities such as libraries provide significant support to the success of the GLS program. Ta'mirul Islam Elementary School produces outstanding students in the field of writing at national level whose work is published in the annual magazine. Teachers can implement the School Literacy Movement (GLS) to improve students' writing skills, while students can utilize literacy practices at school to improve their writing skills. The research results can also enrich knowledge about GLS in schools and become a reference for other researchers who are interested in similar topics. The research results can also be used as input for educators and students regarding literacy activities in schools to improve existing writing skills. Schools should provide special subjects or extracurricular writing as a place for students to develop their writing talents. This research can also be used as a reference for developing similar topics with the same variables.

Abstract

Mathematical problem-solving ability is an essential competency in elementary mathematics education to develop critical, logical, and systematic thinking skills. This study aims to comprehensively review the literature on the mathematical problem-solving abilities of elementary school students. The research employed a Systematic Literature Review (SLR) method following the PRISMA flow. Data were collected from articles in the Google Scholar database published between 2020 and 2025. The findings indicate that students tend to experience difficulties in the planning and evaluation stages of problem-solving, which are influenced by both internal and external factors. Effective strategies to improve problem-solving abilities include the use of the Realistic Mathematics Education (RME) model, concrete learning media, and personalized learning approaches by teachers. This study concludes that improving elementary school students' problem-solving abilities can be achieved through contextual learning strategies, engaging media, and adaptive teacher guidance. Kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematis merupakan kompetensi penting dalam pembelajaran matematika di sekolah dasar untuk membentuk pola pikir kritis, logis, dan sistematis. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji literatur tentang kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematis siswa sekolah dasar secara komprehensif. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah Systematic Literature Review (SLR) dengan mengikuti alur PRISMA. Data dikumpulkan dari artikel pada database Google Scholar yang diterbitkan antara tahun 2020-2025. Hasil kajian menunjukkan siswa cenderung mengalami kesulitan pada tahap perencanaan dan evaluasi pemecahan masalah yang dipengaruhi faktor internal maupun eksternal. Strategi yang efektif untuk meningkatkan kemampuan pemecahan masalah meliputi penggunaan model Realistic Mathematics Education (RME), media konkret, serta pendekatan pembelajaran personal oleh guru. Simpulan dari penelitian ini adalah bahwa peningkatan kemampuan pemecahan masalah siswa sekolah dasar dapat dilakukan melalui penerapan strategi pembelajaran kontekstual, penggunaan media yang menarik, dan pendampingan guru yang adaptif.

Abstract

This research aims to describe the critical thinking ability of students in terms of cognitive style on the material of division operations of fractions of grade V students of SD Negeri Sondakan. This research is qualitative research with a case study method. The source of data in this study came from fifth grade students of SD Negeri Sondakan. The sampling technique was done by purposive sampling by taking 3 subjects from each type of cognitive style. Data collection techniques used include observation, interviews, and documentation studies. Data validity techniques using triangulation techniques and time triangulation. Data analysis techniques used in this study using the analysis model according to Creswell. The results of this study indicate that students who have FI cognitive style can fulfil most of the indicators of critical thinking ability although there are students who do not meet the indicators of inference. Students who have FD cognitive style can only fulfil one indicator and some do not fulfil all indicators of critical thinking ability. Students who have FI cognitive style have better critical thinking ability than students who have FD cognitive style. This research implies that it can add insight into efforts to improve critical thinking skills in terms of cognitive style and become a guide for teachers in implementing learning by the cognitive style of students.Keywords: critical thinking ability, cognitive style, field independent, field dependent, and elementary school

Abstract

This research aims to improve the numeracy skills of fifth grade students at SD 2 Pelem through the application of Realistic Mathematics Education approach. Classroom Action Research (CAR) is a type of research. Each cycle contains the stages of planning, implementation, observation and reflection. The research subjects were 18 students and teachers. Data collection techniques used are observation, interviews, documentation and tests. Data validity testing techniques use source triangulation and engineering triangulation. Data analysis technique uses interactive data analysis techniques with Miles and Huberman model. The research results show that applying RME approach can improve students' numeracy skills. This is proven by the average numeracy test score obtained by students in pre-action of 56.17 with classical completion of 16.67%. Cycle I obtained an average of 75.78 with classical completeness of 66.67%. Cycle II obtained an average of 88.67% with classical completeness of 99.44%. Based on the research results, it can be concluded that the application of the RME approach can improve the numeracy skills of class V students. This research adds scientific insight into the application of RME approach, this research also contributes to providing teachers with insight into implementing RME approach, especially in mathematics learning.

Abstract

Creative thinking skills are essential skills for 21st-century life. Creative thinking skills are closely related to the ability to produce creative ideas to compete globally. The purpose of this research was to improve creative thinking skills using the Creative Entrepreneurship Learning Model-Based Discovery Skills (CEL-BaDiS). This type of research is classroom action research with the implementation of three cycles and each cycle consists of two meetings. Each consist of four steps there were planning, action, observation and reflection cycles. The data was collected by using several techniques such as observation, interview, documentation and creative thinking test. The interactive model was used to analyze the data. The assessment of research showed that both students' creative thinking and teacher's performance increased continuously. Based on the results, it can be concluded that trough double lo-problem solving models based on experiment enhancing the student's creative thinking skills of heat and transfer for grade IV students.
